  1. <p>Friday, Week 1, March 2016</p><p> </p><p> When I woke up, I checked TEW.com. This was always the first thing I did in a morning, before breakfast, before showering, before anything. Wrestling came first. This particular morning, I let out a little excited squeak as I saw a familiar face on the home page!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cbDcnCD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cbDcnCD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <em>Sara Marie York</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> It was an article about our Femme Fatale Champion, Sara! In it, the author speculated that she was "hotly tipped to become a huge star with AAA." I don't know about you, but I'd say she's already a pretty big deal as our top champion!</p><p> </p><p> The author went on to speculate that the fact that Sara had yet to win a match for herself this year wasn't a bad sign, in fact it was quite the opposite. They claimed her current run of form definitely looks like the beginning of an interesting storyline that may well take her to the next level!</p><p> </p><p> I certainly couldn't wait to see if they were right... and I also couldn't wait to see my own face on TEW.com one day!</p>

  3. <p>AAA Girl On Girl Action 2016</p><p> </p><p> I don't know if it was because of my obvious lack of creative direction, but I was really off my game tonight. I knew it would affect my performance out there, but luckily I was in a six-woman tag, so I shouldn't drag my match down too much...</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46371" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Opening Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="QkOvCla.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QkOvCla.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="9sVVYde.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9sVVYde.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ihQafac.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ihQafac.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="fty0Bsc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fty0Bsc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kZxGPyl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kZxGPyl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Devil's Daughter, Steph Blake & Zoe Ammis vs Lady Libery, Sarah Taylor & Simony Sentinel</em></p><p> </p><p> Luckily, I was out there with one of AAA's best teams: Blake & Ammis. Another stroke of luck was that I wasn't involved in the finish of the match. I meandered my way through the match, allowing everyone around me to take the lead and do most of the work until Steph hit Simony with her signature DDT for the pin at 11:26.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0vMu41H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0vMu41H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Grudge Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="zqHIU0R.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zqHIU0R.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="20F9656.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/20F9656.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Paige Croft vs Selina Svelte</em></p><p> </p><p> As I got behind the curtain, I realised that my best match of the year had been the one I was least involved in. That didn't help my mood any... maybe I wasn't cut out for this. Anyway, as always, I wanted to watch the rest of the show, and Paige was making her entrance for this match that I still found a little bizarre. I understood we were playing up the backstage incident from last month that was all over the internet, but that didn't mean I agreed with it.</p><p> </p><p> Wrestling is all about trust, you're putting your bodies in each others' hands. Last month, these two were genuinely trying to attack each other, and now they were being expected to look after each other out there? Not that I thought Paige or Selina were untrustworthy, just the principle troubled me.</p><p> </p><p> I was snapped back into reality by Selina sprinting past me and through the curtain, opting to make a running start rather than her usual entrance. The match was a wild brawl from the moment Selina slid into the ring. They wrestled... no, they <em><strong>fought</strong></em> for 11 minutes and 47 seconds, both constantly flirting with disqualification, before the referee eventually had to throw the match out as a double DQ.</p><p> </p><p> The crowd weren't happy, but I thought the match and result made sense, considering the nature of this young rivalry. Maybe I should start a fight backstage to get myself a storyline? Who am I kidding? I don't have it in me...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="RaK5IJj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RaK5IJj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Joanne Rodriguez Promo</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="CT1aHpJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CT1aHpJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Up next, J-Ro had a few minutes to talk to the crowd about her upcoming Femme Fatale Championship shot. She talked about not meaning to cost Sara her match against Nadia two months ago, then switched gears to talk about how she proved herself by winning the tag match last month to earn herself this shot. She vowed to beat Sara tonight, then headed to the back to prepare.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="JCBhPc2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JCBhPc2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="p4d7OXv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/p4d7OXv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="odQIjxU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/odQIjxU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4BuC4wS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4BuC4wS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Suzanne Brazzle vs Talia Quinzel ©</em></p><p> </p><p> Last month, Suzi won a match against Steph to earn this opportunity and, with the greatest respect to Simony and Steffi, this would definitely be Talia's toughest challenge to date. Talia, known for her prowess with many variants of the Backbreaker, worked over Suzi's back for the majority of the match.</p><p> </p><p> The girls told an awesome story out there, with Suzi really "selling" the back and struggling to build any momentum, but also refusing to be pinned or forced to submit. Eventually, Talia got frustrated with Suzi's resilience, grabbed her title and walked out on the match, taking an intentional count-out loss at 13:51.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0vMu41H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0vMu41H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Top Contenders For The AAA Tag Team Championships Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="iC1nxsD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iC1nxsD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="yoBP6nZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/yoBP6nZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="N0LFHwG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N0LFHwG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="MS4y0US.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MS4y0US.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Christy Higgins & Wendy Anderson vs Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly</em></p><p> </p><p> This was the first match of the night with a personal storyline behind it from the start. In January, Christy and Wendy won (what seemed to be) a throwaway tag team match, and were rewarded last month with the first shot at the newly crowned AAA Tag Team Champions, Good Lookin' Bunny. The former champions, Lilly & Rose didn't like this, and ruined the match by attacking both teams. So now, Christy and Wendy would take on Debbie and Kate for the chance to face GLB next month for the titles. I love nice, simple storytelling like this!</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, the match itself was wasn't bad. Most of the matches so far had pretty much been on a par, and this one was no different. Kate and Debbie exhibited their great chemistry as a team once again, and I wondered if Ms Quine and Cherry regretted taking the tag titles off them...</p><p> </p><p> If they did, they would potentially have the chance to give them the titles back next month, as Debbie rolled up Christy (with a handful of tights) at the 12:50 mark.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0vMu41H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0vMu41H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Semi Main Event (Non-Title Match)</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="eM9jnrf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eM9jnrf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ny8YNGR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ny8YNGR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="47oQkGo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/47oQkGo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="gnsxoff.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gnsxoff.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tOUoqhl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tOUoqhl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow w/ Cat Jemson vs Jessica Bunny & Katherine Goodlooks</em></p><p> </p><p> The best match of the night so far, not just because it was between two of our top teams, but also because the non-title stipulation actually made the result a lot less predictable.</p><p> </p><p> The match played out like a fairly standard tag team match, with The A-List splitting the ring in half and isolating one of their opponents until she eventually got free and made a "hot tag" to her partner, then the A-List took a shortcut and ended up back in control again.</p><p> </p><p> As the match was reaching a crescendo, someone ran past me and through the curtain...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="CT1aHpJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CT1aHpJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Joanne Rodriguez!</em></p><p> </p><p> J-Ro distracted Demelza just long enough for Katherine to hit a "Pretty Fly" for the pin after 16 minutes and 3 seconds!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="JCBhPc2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JCBhPc2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sara Marie York Promo</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cbDcnCD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cbDcnCD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Now it was time for Sara to speak her mind on the imminent Femme Fatale Championship match! She said she'd never dismiss Joanne as a competitor, she had great respect for her in-ring ability. However, she didn't appreciate Joanne's involvement in her match with Nadia two months ago, so tonight was important for her to show she didn't need help holding onto her title.</p><p> </p><p> Sara concluded by guaranteeing she would leave with her Championship intact, and went backstage to await her entrance for the main event.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="jmLZZ5O.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jmLZZ5O.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="wibqktu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wibqktu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="CT1aHpJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CT1aHpJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cbDcnCD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cbDcnCD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Joanne Rodriguez vs Sara Marie York ©</em></p><p> </p><p> This. This was a big match. This had that "big fight feel." I don't know if it was simply the calibre of the two women involved, or if the fact that the only talking we had on the show was them talking about the match helped, but either way, this was huge!</p><p> </p><p> They went back and forth for almost half an hour, and it was the best match of the night, with lots of dramatic moments, near falls, and everything else you could want in a great championship match!</p><p> </p><p> Just before the 29 minute mark, Joanne picked Sara up and planted her with the J-Rocker! The crowd jumped to their feet, sensing a new champion being crowned, and I have to admit, so did I backstage. I was so glued to the monitor, I didn't even notice two people rush past me and through the curtain...</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="eM9jnrf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eM9jnrf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ny8YNGR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ny8YNGR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>The A-List!</em></p><p> </p><p> I'd never heard boos like it! The fans really didn't want to see Demelza and Nadia right now, and that was the point! Joanne crawled into the pin, and The A-List dragged the referee out of the ring, jumped in, and assaulted J-Ro! The ref had no choice but to throw the match out and award the disqualification victory to Joanne at 29:09.</p><p> </p><p> The show went off the air with Sara still feeling the effects of the J-Rocker, Joanne down after the beatdown, The A-List standing tall, holding the Femme Fatale Championship above their heads, and the crowd raining down boos.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="6hKgJ9G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6hKgJ9G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Overall Show Rating:</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="JCBhPc2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JCBhPc2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> After the show, Ms Quine gathered us all backstage. She praised Sara for her great performance, particularly in her promo, which was the highlight of the entire show. Next she complimented Joanne for her good performance, as she played a big role in a lot of the other best moments from the night. Finally, she pointed out Demelza as a good example for taking the loss in the tag match.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46371" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">AAA Girl On Girl Action 2016 Results</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Devil's Daughter & Blake & Ammis def. 15. <p>Tuesday, Week 1, March 2016</p><p> </p><p> All was calm as I entered the Washington State Gymnasium, just like back in January. It was obvious there wasn't much of a plan for me at the moment, but that's okay. One day, I'll make them notice me and make them plan for me.</p><p> </p><p> The match after mine somewhat surprised me for a second. Paige vs Selina? After their fight backstage last month? Then it struck me - wrestling fans knew everything these days. So why not make art imitate life, as the saying goes?</p><p> </p><p> The rest of the card was solid. Top Contender's Championship match, number one contendership match to challenge Good Lookin' Bunny next month, a non-title match with the tag champions (to keep the audience guessing, I figure - The A-List are involved in the main event scene, they wouldn't be winning the tag titles anyway), and of course the Femme Fatale title match between our two top "faces!" I was looking forward to the show as much as anyone in the crowd that was about to start filing into the building...</p>

  17. <p>AAA More Than Meets The Eye 2016</p><p> </p><p> I peaked out through the curtain. Another sell-out, and most of the 2,000 were in their seats in the Washington State Gymnasium. It was time to prove why I deserved to be on the main show, on the DVDs. I gave Tracy a hug, and Cat and I set off through the curtain. The crowd's reaction was pretty confused. They knew I was a "face" and Cat was a "heel," so they didn't quite know what to make of us together. Cat smiled and waved, helping the guinea pigs understand how they were supposed to react to us.</p><p> </p><p> The Brendon Sisters were out next. I tried to keep my cool on the outside, but inside I was "marking out" like a little girl. Tracy climbed into the ring and got in my face, like a good "heel," Michelle and Cat took their spots on the outside, and it was showtime.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46371" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Pre-Show Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="47oQkGo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/47oQkGo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="HYFvEYc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HYFvEYc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="LOydd5T.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LOydd5T.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Sarah Taylor w/ Cat Jemson vs Tracy Brendon w/ Michelle Brendon</em></p><p> </p><p> Our match was poor, if I'm being honest, but I can't deny I enjoyed every second of our 8 minutes and 8 seconds in there together! The finish came when Michelle interfered, costing me the match. Cat threw a hissy fit after the match, screaming "useless!" at me, ensuring the crowd went back to seeing her as a bad guy, but also debuting her new gimmick of being a bit of a diva, which the audience certainly appeared to prefer to her old routine.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HbKpd70.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HbKpd70.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sara Marie York, Joanne Rodriguez, Demelza Wade, Nadia Snow, Catherine Quine, Cherry Bomb & Jaime Quine Promo</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cbDcnCD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cbDcnCD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CT1aHpJ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CT1aHpJ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="eM9jnrf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eM9jnrf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Ny8YNGR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ny8YNGR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="b2PIYBx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/b2PIYBx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cuBNbxg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cuBNbxg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="KcJB9lv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KcJB9lv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>This would be a mess if everyone involved weren't so talented</em></p><p> </p><p> Sara came out to kick off the main show, looking serious with a microphone in hand.</p><p> </p><p> "Joanne Rodriguez! Last month, you cost me my match against Nadia Snow. I may not have lost the Femme Fatale Championship, but I still didn't want to start the year off losing to one of The A-List! I know you wanted to get even with her after she cost you your match, but the only person who suffered because of your actions was me!"</p><p> </p><p> Joanne's music hit. This was gonna get good! Joanne got in the ring with Sara and grabbed her microphone. Not aggressively, but assertively. She was so good at the subtle nuances like that.</p><p> </p><p> "You know I didn't mean to cost you the match, Sara. I'm sorry, it's just they've been such a thorn in our side, and I just had to get my hands on her!"</p><p> </p><p> The A-List's music hit, and they came out onto the stage. Demelza had a microphone, as she tended to do most of the team's talking.</p><p> </p><p> "Oh, what a shame, the two small-time girls are having issues! The way we see it, The A-List deserve another shot at the Femme Fatale Championship! I beat you last month, Rodriguez! And Nadia here beat your friend, but was robbed of the Championship by the "Champion's advantage" that we should've known she'd use to keep her title! AAA needs to improve its image, and what better way than to have an A-Lister as its champion? So whether it's me, Nadia, or both of us, we want another shot!"</p><p> </p><p> Ms Quine stood up at the announce table and grabbed a microphone from ringside.</p><p> </p><p> "You make a compelling argument, Demelza! You both have a claim to a title shot, but at the same time, I don't want to deprive J-Ro a chance to get her hands on you! On top of that, I feel like Sara would like to face Joanne some time in the near future, so here's what we'll do:</p><p> </p><p> "Tonight, there'll be a tag team match between you four ladies. If J-Ro and Sara win, they'll fight one-on-one for the Femme Fatale Championship next month! If Th A-List win, Sara Marie York will have to defend her Championship in a Triple Threat match against both of you next month! Now that that's taken care of, I have someone I want to speak to. Cherry Bomb, get out here right now!"</p><p> </p><p> This was getting good! Cherry was next to me, behind the curtain, waiting for her cue. Her music hit, and she joined The A-List on the stage. Ms Quine spoke again.</p><p> </p><p> "Last month, you blatantly cheated to steal a victory over Jaime, and I've been racking my brain over how to deal with it, and eventually it hit me! What's the one match where you truly can't bend the rules? A match with no rules! So, tonight you will have a rematch with Jaime... in a Last Woman Standing match!"</p><p> </p><p> Cherry "sold" the announcement perfectly. Equal parts fear, anger and outrage. The "heels" retreated through the curtain, the "faces" followed a sufficient distance behind to not cause fans to question why everyone didn't start brawling, and we were off to the races!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="jmLZZ5O.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jmLZZ5O.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Top Contender For The AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="9sVVYde.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9sVVYde.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="odQIjxU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/odQIjxU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Steph Blake vs Suzanne Brazzle</em></p><p> </p><p> This was a decent match. My partner from last month, Steffi was Talia's challenger this month. I guess she impressed enough in our match, and I was happy to see her get the shot! Joanne and Sara struggled to get on the same page, harking back to their tension in the show-opening promo, while Demelza and Nadia dominated with their superior teamwork. The match went an astounding 31 minutes and 21 seconds before Cat Jemson tried to get involved but accidentally set Demelza up for a J-Rocker from J-Ro and the pin.</p><p> </p><p> The most impressive part for me, personally, was that none of the girls looked gassed out there, considering they went over half an hour! The young girls in the audience really love Sara. I'm hoping that'll be one of my key demographics when I manage to get myself noticed.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="U7eYsmS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/U7eYsmS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Tag Team Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cCP68vw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cCP68vw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="iC1nxsD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iC1nxsD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YIefDeg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YIefDeg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="gnsxoff.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gnsxoff.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tOUoqhl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tOUoqhl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Christy Higgins & Wendy Anderson vs Jessica Bunny & Katherine Goodlooks</em></p><p> </p><p> For the second month in a row, Christy and Wendy teamed up in the "cool down match" between the two main events. Back-to-back tag team matches in the popcorn break would seem like odd booking for Ms Quine's personal protégée (Wendy), if it weren't for the fact that this one was for the Tag Team titles.</p><p> </p><p> Riding their momentum from last month's win, Christy and Wendy put forth a good performance and even had the crowd believing they would win on a couple of occasions. On one such occasion, Debbie Rose & Kate Lilly (the former champions) hit the ring and took out all four women, causing the match to be thrown out at 10:31.</p><p> </p><p> It was a shame to have the match end like that, but it created a new storyline for the fans to sink their teeth into, and it got great "heat" on Debbie and Kate!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0vMu41H.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0vMu41H.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Debbie and Kate even took a few minutes to clear the ring of their fallen foes and do a little dance, much to the chagrin of the crowd (save for a few of the young men, I'm sure!), before heading to the back.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="U7eYsmS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/U7eYsmS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Last Woman Standing Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cuBNbxg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cuBNbxg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="KcJB9lv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KcJB9lv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Cherry Bomb vs Jaime Quine</em></p><p> </p><p> Cherry and Jaime built on the great chemistry they showed they had together last month, although this was a completely different kind of match. This was a brutal spectacle!</p><p> </p><p> They went back and forth for 34 minutes and 16 seconds, both keeping the other down for plenty of dramatic 8 and 9 counts, with Cherry dominating most of the offence while Jaime got to show off her resilience. Eventually, Jaime caught Cherry holding a chair in the wrong place and hit her signature KO Kick into the chair, into Cherry's face for the 10 count!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="6hKgJ9G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6hKgJ9G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Overall Show Rating:</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="JCBhPc2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JCBhPc2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> After the show, Ms Quine gave her customary speech. Sara got praised for a great performance again, as did Joanne, which no-one could begrudge them. Their opening promo was brilliant, and their tag match stole the show. Ms Quine finally pointed out Cherry as a good example. She said she knew Cherry wasn't sure about losing to Jaime tonight, but still went out there and did an excellent job of building up her opponent.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46371" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">AAA More Than Meets The Eye 2016 Full Show Results</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Tracy Brendon def. 20. <p>Tuesday, Week 1, February 2016</p><p> </p><p> As soon as I opened the door to the Washington State Gymnasium, there was chaos and noise everywhere. Pretty much the whole locker room were split between holding Paige back and holding Selina back.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="zqHIU0R.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zqHIU0R.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="20F9656.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/20F9656.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <em>Paige Croft and Selina Svelte were trying to fight!</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> I have to admit, my mind automatically flashed back to last month, when Selina had been stubborn about losing in her tag match with me and Steffi, and I kind of assumed she had been causing trouble again. It turns out I was wrong! Tracy came up to me and filled me in on the details.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="HYFvEYc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HYFvEYc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <em>I hadn't seen her since the night her divorce came through</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Apparently, Paige had pulled some sort of tasteless prank (or "rib" in wrestling talk) on Selina, and Selina hadn't taken it well, which would've led to a fight between the two had everyone not kept them apart, which is when I walked in. Ms Quine had a quiet word with Paige to explain how much worse the situation could've been.</p><p> </p><p> Selina wasn't happy, she called it a "slap on the wrist" and was so vocal about her displeasure that Ms Quine sent her and Paige home, told them to come back next month and behave more professionally. What a start to the second show of the year!</p><p> </p><p> "I've got good news and bad news." Tracy's words pulled me out of my own head and back into reality. "There's more good news than bad, so I'll just get the bad news out of the way: you're on the pre-show tonight." I blinked. We hadn't had a pre-show before, but I knew what it meant. I'd perform in front of the same crowd, have the same performance expected of me, but my match wouldn't make the DVD release of the show. I wouldn't earn any bonus from this show's DVD sales. Good thing I wasn't in this for the money!</p><p> </p><p> "The good news is we're going against each other. So let's show them what we can do! Let's put some of those ideas we had in the bar to use!" She said with a smirk. I couldn't remember that night, but her expression told me we had some pretty ridiculous ideas. "The other good news, we're both getting to treat this as a bit of a trial - we're getting managers, just for this match, unless it goes well of course!" Who? Who would be my manager? She could see the questions running through my mind, I have the world's worst poker face.</p><p> </p><p> "When my divorce came through, I may have milked it slightly with Catherine, and she agreed to bring someone in for a trial match as my manager."</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="LOydd5T.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LOydd5T.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <em>Michelle Brendon</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> I recognised Michelle immediately. Not just because she and Tracy were so similar, but because I was an avid fan of both when they were The Brendon Sisters in AAA. "Pleased to meet you," she said as she shook my hand. I mumbled a pleasantry back, partially out of sudden shyness caused by being starstruck, partially because I didn't want to turn into a total "mark" babbling on about all my favourite memories from her career. "Who's my manager?"</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="47oQkGo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/47oQkGo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <em>"Cat Jemson."</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Oh. My. God. Cat was the manager of The A-List, the company's top "heels." If I had good chemistry with her, maybe I could join the group? But could I work "heel?" I always felt more natural as a "face," I'm a pretty nice person, I don't like to upset others. Maybe she'd turn on them to manage me? But she's such a good "heel..."</p><p> </p><p> "Come on, let's go find Cat and go over our match!" Tracy dragged me back to reality for a second time. She was right, I really wanted this to work.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46371" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">AAA More Than Meets The Eye 2016 Match Card</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Pre-Show Match</strong></p><p> Sarah Taylor (w/ Cat Jemson) vs Tracy Brendon (w/ Michelle Brendon)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Top Contender For The Top Contender's Championship Match</strong></p><p> Steph Blake vs Suzanne Brazzle</p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</strong></p><p> Steffi Chee vs Talia Quinzel ©</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Match To Determine Next Month's Femme Fatale Championship Match</strong></p><p> Demelza Wade & Nadia Snow (w/ Cat Jemson) vs Joanne Rodriguez & Sara Marie York</p><p> <em>(If The A-List win, they both get a title shot next month in a Triple Threat. 22. Rest of Week 1, January 2016 Wednesday I was out with some friends at Rico's when a familiar figure walked in... It was Tracy Brendon! I'd never seen her in this bar before, but here she was. I waved across the bar, and she came over. I introduced her to my friends, and asked why she was here. "My divorce from Josh got finalised today." Joshua Taylor. I didn't even know he and Tracy were splitting up, but Tracy and I weren't really that close. I didn't know how to react. Her answer didn't betray her feelings on the situation. Was she heartbroken? Was she relieved? Then she smiled, partially at my "rabbit in the headlights" expression, I'm sure. "Don't worry, I'm glad. It wasn't working out, I'm just relieved the legal process is over. It also doesn't hurt that I got a nice cut of his TCW money in the deal, so drinks are on me!" I don't remember much from the rest of that night... Thursday When I eventually surfaced from my bed, I checked my emails. Ms Quine had sent me something... a form to fill in relating to criminal records? I was too hungover for this, but I figured I'd best get it back to her ASAP. I filled it in, I had nothing to hide, sent it back, grabbed a load of snacks and went back to bed.

  25. <p>AAA Pretty Amazing 2016</p><p> </p><p> I peaked out through the curtain. The Washington State Gymnasium was sold out. 2,000 people crammed in. I had had a year to get used to the sight, but it still took my breath away. Maybe one day, they'd be there specifically to see me. Someone tapped me on the shoulder.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="1u55uaB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1u55uaB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Steffi was ready to go. We were about to open the show on her birthday, and she was going to pick up the win for our team. I was pleased for her, maybe I'd get a similar birthday present when the time came, I certainly hadn't last year.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46371" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Opening Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="1u55uaB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1u55uaB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="20F9656.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/20F9656.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="HgbOHuF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HgbOHuF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Steffi Chee & Sarah Taylor vs Selina Svelte & Ellie May Walton</em></p><p> </p><p> While we were in the ring watching Selina and Ellie making their entrances, Steffi told me that Selina had complained about losing the match and insisted on being kept looking strong. I never understood that myself, I think you're much better off being a team player and proving yourself reliable. I'm hoping that works out for me in the long run, but I'm not only a team player for that reason. It's just how I'm wired, I guess.</p><p> </p><p> I spent most of the match being double teamed by the other team, getting sympathy and getting the crowd on my side until I made the hot tag to Steffi. She cleared house, and it came down to her and Selina in the ring. Steffi hit her signature Mafia Kick and pinned Selina after 11:05.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="1u55uaB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1u55uaB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0zEYUrJ.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Your winners!</em></p><p> </p><p> As much as I was pleased to start 2016 off with a victory, I couldn't help but notice that I was the weak link in the match. Maybe Selina had a point complaining about taking the pin, she certainly looked good, even in defeat, and she and Ellie had shown excellent natural chemistry together. In hindsight, perhaps they should've picked up the win...</p><p> </p><p> Regardless, Steffi and I celebrated our victory, headed to the back, and I sat down to watch the rest of the show on the monitor behind the curtain.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HbKpd70.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HbKpd70.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Catherine Quine & Cherry Bomb Promo</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="b2PIYBx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/b2PIYBx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Catherine Quine got up from the commentary desk and grabbed a microphone. First, she announced the sell-out attendance, and thanked everyone for coming. Then, he demeanour changed. She wanted to talk to Cherry Bomb, face-to-face in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cuBNbxg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cuBNbxg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Cherry came out and got in the face of Ms Quine. The fans went wild, as Cherry is one of our most (un)popular "heels" confronting our beloved owner. Backstage, I had to smile, seeing our owner and head booker squaring up like they hate each other, when really they have a great working relationship.</p><p> </p><p> "Cherry, you've been a thorn in the side of my daughter for a while now. She's gotten herself over with these fans on her own merits, because Lord knows I don't play favourites! I think you're intimidated. I think you're worried she's going to take your spot as one of our top stars! So, later on tonight, you and Jaime will go against each other! This is her chance to get even with you, and your chance to prove she isn't on your level. Now get out of my face!"</p><p> </p><p> With that, Ms Quine left the ring, leaving Cherry alone with a smirk on her face. Cherry hadn't brought a microphone to the ring, nor had she made any effort to grab one. She simply mouthed "alright" at Ms Quine, and came to the back.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="U7eYsmS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/U7eYsmS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Top Contender's Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="p4d7OXv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/p4d7OXv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="kZxGPyl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kZxGPyl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4BuC4wS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4BuC4wS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Simony Sentinel vs Talia Quinzel ©</em></p><p> </p><p> I was thrilled for Simony, getting a title shot so soon after coming into AAA, but part of me did have to wonder why I couldn't have been chosen for this spot. Cherry and Jaime had great chemistry and told an incredible story, despite Cherry seeming a little off her game. But everyone knew what this match was: a bathroom break, an opportunity for the fans to top up their popcorn before the main event, a respite between two main event calibre matches. I was honestly surprised Ms Quine had put Wendy in this position on the card, but at least she picked up the win for her team at the 11:16 mark by pinning Power Girl (who was just here for one night to round out the numbers) after her signature Flying Cross Body.</p><p> </p><p> Devil's Daughter and Tracy Brendan's timing as a team was all over the place, I doubt we'll see them team up again any time soon.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="HbKpd70.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HbKpd70.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>AAA Femme Fatale Championship Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="wibqktu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wibqktu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="Ny8YNGR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ny8YNGR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="47oQkGo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/47oQkGo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="sNDhA7k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sNDhA7k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cbDcnCD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cbDcnCD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <em>Nadia Snow w/ Cat Jemson vs Sara Marie York</em></p><p> </p><p> The first main event of the first show of 2016 was amazing... although in my opinion, Cherry Bomb vs Jaime Quine was slightly better (and that's not me kissing up to Ms Quine, I honestly think that). Still, this match was great, the girls had great chemistry together, and after 16 minutes and 11 seconds, J-Ro attacked Nadia Snow, causing a disqualification. Nadia won the match, but Sara kept the title, and most importantly, our main storyline in AAA kept rolling!</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="6hKgJ9G.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6hKgJ9G.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Overall Show Rating:</strong></p><p> <img alt="JCBhPc2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JCBhPc2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The show was over, the arena was empty, and we had all showered and gathered around Ms Quine backstage, as was traditional in AAA. Ms Quine first praised Cherry Bomb for her great performance, which was completely fair as she was involved in both the best match of the night and one of the interview segments, both of which went over great with the crowd. Next, she complimented Jaime and Sara for good performances, Jaime in the match with Cherry, and Sara for the combination of her promo and her match with Nadia.</p><p> </p><p> We knew the show had gone well from top to bottom, but Ms Quine liked to pick out a top three performers to praise each show as a little added incentive for everyone to try their hardest.
