You just need motivation! Yes, you are already aware of that, but what motivates you?
Obviously, you like wrestling. That's why you got the game! Or, you like buying random things. Either way, that's two things about you that I know! Oh, you said you like real world mods! Make it three!
This is honestly going to be a thread of replies where people talk about themselves and what gets them going, but not nessicarily the same things that get you going. I personally also like real world mods, but why do you? For me, it's the "Oh, Chris Jericho! I know that name!" versus seeing some dude with a face with a long title history in the high ranks. I can connect with Jericho, versus that dude in a mask. Something I have tried doing and have fallen in love with is starting a database (no worries, you don't have to be an expert at this) with one company, one person, and one user, in the year 1900. I set the random worker rate up to the max, and I sit back and sim away. I usually sim 6 months at once, and I keep up with the people. After a while, I can connect with these random guys. Once I get far enough ahead and am happy with the state of the game, I'll jump in. It's something new, fresh, and different everytime, but it gives me that one thing that I need, which is connection.
Another thing I've been having some fun with is the Road to Glory challenge. I find it interesting with real world mods, even though it's still fun with the vanilla game. Just the real world mods, again, help with connection. Figure out as to why you aren't feeling motivated. Ask yourself what you want out of the game, find a way to do it, and go for it! The best part of this game is it's as simple or complex as you want it to be. Don't be afraid to do some tinkering with the database/workers/promotions/etc as well. There's a million and a half ways to play this darned game.
Also, there's nothing wrong with going back and starting and old save you forgot about!
