You don´t need any of the other downloads.

So like i mentioned before, currently i don´t have the time to do the mod justice. Any chance i can get someone involved with helping out? @sd_jones ?

oh, i'd need some financial compensation to make what people are asking for work. seems like people want ever obscure wrestler that ever existed.

i am happy with the mod... someone had mentioned that it has unfinished wrestlers, though... and that hasn't been the case that i have seen.

  2. So I play a sports simulation, Dolphinsim.com where people assume the role of a coach/gm of a sports team, maintain a roster, sign players, defenses, substitutions, etc. This game is the port of an at-home game that can be played by itself vs. the computer.

Some context: I currently play a multiplayer TEW 2016 game with a few guys. We had a draft of a modern mod over 2 years ago, and we trade the games back and forth through discord depending on whose game it is. Trading the files through discord works because it's a small group of guys. We used to have 6 guys in the game, now we're down to 3.

I'm thinking, what if TEW could be ported, mostly text-wise (no photos needed) to the web? A day would process say every day at 2pm. In the meantime, people could cut, sign, and plan cards. If someone doesn't play their turn, that would be their loss. Alliances could be formed, rivalries, etc. My current sports game even has an incentive to write "press releases" which gives money or prestige based on the sport being played.

    What do you guys think?

  4. TEW2016 had periodic sales that's why I asked the question. It's not out of the question for WMMA5 to have the same. Just wondering. If they ever have a sale, I'll probably jump in. That's what made me buy 2016 a year and a half ago.

I want the game, but the price point is enough to make me say... "eh, maybe I'll wait." Also, there is the whole mentality of thinking that I got a deal. I am sure the game is good.

True. This is a different animal than the AAA games. We've been spoiled with AAA titles dropping to less than 50% of the price within the year, but the thing is that there's fresher and better games getting released all the time and previous titles fade into obscurity because it's the exact same genre/gameplay.

This is still the only good MMA sim out there, so it doesn't lose value. This idea of "old game" is no longer as relevant as in the 8/16-bit era. It only loses value if WMMA6 would be a thing - but sadly it'll probably never release - or if someone else has a crack at it, which probably won't happen (or will take years before it's as good as this). Based on their previous price cuts, 25$ is going to be the cheapest it'll be, so you might want to wait for that.

So just a notch lower than 2016?

I never think about the late game in TEW2016 because it's all about stories for me, but it does seem like the later game in 2016 is also a bit too easy, no?

  6. I have no experience making mods and I'm guessing this is waaaay on the back burner for you Genadi, but I am interested in updating the New Blood mod unless you are planning on porting it to 2020. My main goal would be to ensure that WCW goes out of business either at the start of the game or shortly thereafter... or making it difficult but not impossible for a controller of WCW to guide them through that period.
  7. So when we say that the dates are screwed up... I'm guessing that applies to the birth year? For instance, it says that Hulk Hogan was born in 1973, but that is not true.

The only reason that I care is that I'm trying to do a draft of wrestlers using the RAND function in Excel, but I'd like to do it by wrestlers by decade. So maybe take a few guys from the 50's and 60's, more from the 70's, 80's, and so on... that way I have this promotion of stars from every era... randomly assigned to a point.
