  1. When are TNA going to realise how to build a champion? They seem oblivious that making EVERY World title match a clusterf*** of cheating and swerves only serves to kill what little prestige their title has. Abyss aligning with Magnus makes zero sense. It's a shame because I really enjoyed Lockdown except that match. Title matches in TNA mean jack these days.
  2. <p>I have to say, from a purely "in ring" point of view, TNA is packed with talent. They just need some consistency with stories, and try not to over complicate them where by they turn into a huge mess that people stop caring about. Leave the CHIKARA length storylines to a promotion that can do them. Another thing, TNA needs to go back to being an alternative to the WWE instead of a cheap mans version of WWE.... Sunday Night Heat.</p><p> </p><p> Samuel Shaw is someone I really like at the moment, and I'll be the first to admit when he was in Gut Check I thought he was useless. The improvement he's shown in both character and intensity is to be commended. His psycho/stalker gimmick is something different and hopefully they can make him seem like a dangerous man (he already plays the unhinged part pretty well).</p><p> </p><p> Bro-Mans suck. Jessie is a decent talent, but as I said when he first came in, Zema Ion is complete bollocks. Annoying as hell. I can't take Robbie E seriously either. They have had their day as tag team champions. And why the hell they were chosen over Bad Influence to partner Roode makes no sense whatsoever. It's like WWE putting Los Matadores in with Daniel Bryan against The Shield instead of say The Usos.</p><p> </p><p> Bad Influence vs. The Wolves is a Tag team Title feud I (and a few hundred thousand others no doubt) would much rather see. The matches they could put together would be amazing.</p><p> </p><p> I think I may be the only one, but I really like the Ethan Carter III gimmick. Yeah the guy needs a little work on his promo's (especially what facial expressions to make and at what time) but with a little work, I can see him being a big part of any future TNA may have. In the same light, I'm probably the only person that couldn't care less about Jeff Hardy. Him and his brother Matt have sucked since the Hardy Boyz broke up.</p><p> </p><p> With any luck Bully Ray will be back soon. I don't want to see him help Samuel Shaw beat Ken Anderson, I think he needs to get a new feud going when he comes back, but who that is I'm not sure.</p><p> </p><p> Kenny King looks like he's returning with a new look/gimmick so that should be interesting.</p><p> </p><p> The Gunner v. James Storm feud is of little interest to me, probably because I HATE (and have done for years) James Storm. I would love for him and Zema Ion to announce their retirements tomorrow. It is the only time I will ever make any noise (other than the click of my mute button) whilst James Storm is on my TV. I have "Cena" hate for this guy.</p><p> </p><p> Chris Sabin as a heel doesn't work. He just lacks any real charisma and his promos with Velvet are like watching a really, really, REALLY bad teen movie. The guy cannot act for s***. Excellent in ring talent though.</p><p> </p><p> Nice to see TNA getting in a couple more Knockouts. That division was becoming extremely stale (Maddison Rayne being back is a big plus).</p><p> </p><p> Tigre Uno... I hope TNA don't make him look like a joke. Extreme Tiger is one of my top 10 favourite Lucha Libre stars so I hope he gets a good run in TNA.</p><p> </p><p> Just some of my thoughts/opinions on TNA right now.</p>

  4. Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns beating Kanes record for most eliminations. The only 2 positives I took from the Royal Rumble. I'm not saying too much in case I get more figures thrown at me than a maths student studying for finals on how TV ratings are down (a lot of people download the shows) or how PPV's are down (again, people seem to just download the shows when it seems predictable as all of those mentioned were). If you want to go by the TV and PPV buys alone as the be all and end all to your discussions then go for it - forget the live crowd, what do they know, they only paid for travel and tickets to chant "Yes" and get behind Daniel Bryan, but we can ignore them because it's only 15,000 fans. Enjoy Wrestlemania 40 when it is headlined by John Cena and Randy Orton.
  5. <p>I think that is just how the rules have always applied. If the belt is defended in a certain number of countries (regardless of company stature) it is considered a "World" title. Nigel McGuinness was the last Brit to win a World Championship and should be seen as such. If I remember correctly, the ROH World title has been defended on 3 different continents (America, Europe & Asia) and 11 countries (USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Austria, Mexico, Japan, Ireland, Italy, and Spain).</p><p> </p><p> Magnus as the first British guy to hold a World title in Pro wrestling is just a marketing ploy from TNA because they know how popular it is over here.</p>

Maybe give something back to the community instead of just moaning. I'm open to everyone's comments in that thread and I'm receptive to ideas, yes it's not perfect (certainly not biased) - there's one person pretty much working on it so it's going to have issues and things that need to be fixed. I have absolutely no problem with you coming in and saying "hey guy A would be better suited to having XYZ stats" but I do take issue with you going into another thread and shitting over the hours I've put into the mod. Instead of moaning that there isn't a difficult enough mod, try giving constructive criticism. I think most people who have actually helped in that thread would agree for the majority I am very willing to change stats that seem too high. For the record, Cody Hall is a Heavyweight in the latest data released - because someone pointed it out in the thread - shocking how feedback makes it's way into the mod isn't it.</p><p> </p><p> Feel free to give some constructive criticism in my thread - or create your own mod the way you like it. 2 simple solutions to your issue.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT - reading this again I've got to call bull on something, you say "The Naturals Tag Team", well Andy Douglas isn't even in the data, Chris Masters has a D+ in brawling not B-, Colt Cabana has C+ average technical skills not the B+ you're claiming, Alex Shelley doesn't have A's in Basics and consistency he has C + basics and B Consistency, Brian Kendricks stats make him what he is, a solid worker, nothing more and as for all the other "stats" they reflect the worker as being average-good which all of those listed are (exception - Jimmy Jacobs stats now edited down) so god knows what you're playing if your data has stats that don't match the ones in my data! It's like you've plucked them out of thin air (or playing a wildly outdated set I never knew existed).</p>
  10. <p>WWE 2k14 is awful. I actually hate it and have traded it in already.</p><p> </p><p> The gameplay is shocking - it's a reversal-fest and you can't put on decent matches. Every move I do is reversed, every move they attempt I reverse, rinse and repeat (yawn). I could not find a single redeeming feature that made me think "this is actually pretty good". Most of it was a rehash of 2013, I mean the Creation Suite is exactly the same, no new logos etc that I can see, just the same items that were in it the last 4 years so you create the exact same workers as any other year. The title Creation is a bit better than last years. I didn't bother with arena creation or logo creation because I have no interest at all in those things.</p><p> </p><p> 30 Years of Wrestlemania mode - well I gave up on WM1 because it is crap. Tedious mess of John Studd reversing almost everything Andre attempts before glitching into 12 (yes 12) Lou Thesz presses! Pretty shit considering it's supposed to be a powerslam challenge and I cannot figure out how Andre does a powerslam! Tried every combination of buttons I can when Studd is at critical. "The Streak" modes are just as tedious and annoying with 90% of the match just being reversal after reversal after reversal (and no you can't switch the reversals down for this mode).</p><p> </p><p> The "current day" roster is pretty rubbish too. I get it's meant to be full with legends etc which is cool... but David Otunga in the game over the Intercontinental Champion, Curtis Axel? Seriously? 3MB in over The Usos? Too many "who cares" wrestlers in the game and not enough I will ever use (outside of legends). This also makes Universe mode suck. Shame really because WWE games were making some real good steps previously. This just seems like a quick cash in.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Of course this is just what I think, I'm sure there are plenty of you who do like the game and I respect your right to those opinions and I ask you respect my right to an opinion in the same way. </span></strong></p>

I read a parody article about him hiding and disguising himself right around the Wrestlemania "clear out" every year to avoid Vince. It was a pretty funny read.</p>
  12. And I would have to (politely) disagree. The January 4th Wrestle Kingdom/Tokyo Dome show in Japan it could be argued would also be a Legendary event - especially from their attendances in the 90's averaging over 50,000 spectators. Just because the Western world doesn't really know about something doesn't make it's prestige any less and this is the issue I have. This is my opinion on modding a RWM (for what it's worth). I have built each individual promotion as it's own separate entity and balanced it accordingly, because the WWE is not the be all and end all of the wrestling world, and that is where some real world mods can fail because building everything around the WWE just because it is the most popular promotion in the world doesn't work. NJPW, CMLL and WWE are 3 completely different promotions with nothing in common so why would you build CMLL and NJPW around the WWE? I will listen to valid arguments, and points from anyone who downloads my work but the one thing I will never be swayed on is that you should build a RWM around the WWE. I also don't think you should add 50 promotions you know nothing about because how can you get a correct balance unless there are a team of researchers for each promotion or you have people who watch those shows religiously helping out? I've followed this guide and it has come in extremely helpful (dare I say invaluable) but I still know there is work to be done and constant improvements to my mod, even following this guide.

It's probably just similar but they do recycle and remix songs for other wrestlers (I can't remember who, but they remixed one of Crush's old themes for someone).</p>
  14. <p>I think most of the divas both past and present thought they were bigger than they actually are. With the exception of Trish Stratus and a few of the earlier female wrestlers, they come in thinking it's an easy way to stardom and after realising it's not bitch that they weren't used properly or held down, shit if you're held down, work harder! Get noticed, in the real world you have to make yourself impossible to replace, unfortunately for them there are 1,000,0000 Marias or Bellas. This isn't to say they are all like that, but you can tell which are. The Funkadactyls are irritating as hell, I must be getting old because I don't understand a single thing they say.</p><p> </p><p> Oh and one thing that REALLY bugs me about the divas? The grunting and screaming they do in the ring after every single move, kick and punch! This isn't tennis! Could you imagine how annoying it would be to hear every male superstar grunt and scream after every move? It riles me up so much that diva matches tend to just get forwarded through quickly... I love you tiVo <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Wow, didn't mean to go on a rant like that but I just hate the divas division, but before anyone chimes in, I don't hate womens wrestling - I just don't like the WWE's version!</p>
  15. <p>If booked right, Randy Orton as a heel could be a great change... but not as the generic heel, he needs that undeterred aggressive, evil streak. 2009 Orton was probably the only time I've found him entertaining so going back to that persona (for me) wouldn't be bad.</p><p> </p><p> I'm just glad Cena's out for a few months so we can get something fresh in the main event for a change. Even without the belt it seemed like Cena appeared in more main events than the Champion. When he returns, maybe it'll be with a refreshed character and not the same fan ass kissing face he's been for the past... er... how many years?</p>
  16. <p>The problem with TNA at times is they go through this "lets throw shit at the wall and see what sticks" before something decent happens storywise. Aces & Eights, was a good storyline but people crapped on it because the people being unmasked weren't International Superstars. What people fail to realise when saying these things is that everyone needs to start their career somewhere... "Stunning" Steve Austin -> The Ringmaster -> Stone Cold. Flex Kavanagh -> Rocky Maivia -> The Rock. Terra Ryzin -> Jean-Paul Levesque -> Triple H. Nobody gives workers a chance any more, they want the pay off NOW NOW NOW! Like I said before, with the exception of Wes Brisco, all those people unmasked look at home in that group. I would have been having WTF moments had it been John Morrison, MVP or Chris Masters being unmasked, but Knux, DOC (curse you for leaving), D-Von all made perfect memebrs, even Bischoff looks like he belongs in the group. Of course, that's just 1 persons opinion.</p><p> </p><p> I think TNA just need to cut their losses and start again. Release the "fringe" talent and higher paid workers who are doing nothing and bring in a few indy guys on PPA deals. Build up their debuts with video hype - get the crowd into them by making them interesting (as I think someone else pointed out). Overall TNA have amazing in ring performers and should be doing a hell of alot better than they are. I would love for TNA to succeed, I honestly enjoy most of the matches but all the while you have Hogan pulling Dixies strings I think they are going to fall flat on their face more times than not. </p><p> </p><p> Anyway I think I'm just rambling on and repeating myself more than Mike Tenay on commentary so I'm going to stop now. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

  18. Because TNA had to pay those talents contracts and couldn't afford it. Bellator are paying Tito Ortiz so there's no cost to TNA. If TNA refuse a Spike request, they're not going to last on the network very long, that's just business whether we like it or not. We all knew it wouldn't be anything huge (which is why TNA didn't even give it a weeks worth of build). If it had been someone big, they would have strung it out a couple of months to keep people guessing and tuning in. August 1 Warning wasn't the reason I watched the show anyway so I didn't care who it was. On a positive note, AJ vs. Aries this week, a match I'd waited to see in TNA didn't disappoint. Manik vs. Sabin was for me a great match too. Always liked TJ Perkins ability. Looking forward to next weeks too with Bad Influence squaring off against each other, as well as Magnus vs. Anderson. Aces & Eights vs. Main Event Mafia on 15th August with the man getting pinned leaving intrigues me.

He also told me to watch Krod Mandoon (mini-series). That was hilarious though. Had a lot of laughs. I also just watched Hamlet 2 which... er... yeah... not really sure what I thought of it to be truthfully honest!</p>
  20. I'm still not sure on whether Sabin being champion is good or not. On one hand I like the fact TNA have put the belt on someone you wouldn't really expect them to - and Sabin is pretty deserving of the belt, but on the other hand I really enjoyed Bully Ray as champion. I'm just going to see where they go with it - hopefully there will be a few more twists before BFG.

What atleast two of the guys released were brought in via the gutcheck.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Taeler Hendrix decided not to renew her contract and I think Christian York asked to be released due to TNA's rumoured financial state they didn't fight to keep them more than telling them they were done. I may be wrong (it happens more often than I'd like) but it does make the Gutcheck look pointless. I also heard that the reason Adam Pearce lost out to Magno a couple months back in Gutchesck was because he refused the OVW assignment and wanted to be brought into the full roster. It now makes sense why the guy who botched most of his spots got the "contract"!</p><p> </p><p> I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more "fringe" talent cut in the coming weeks because TNA really needs to streamline their bloated roster. They also don't need a developmental promotion so surely whatever money they are paying OVW is dead money.</p>
  22. <p>I have to say I was left with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth after Man of Steel (and not from the overly priced crap tasting popcorn). Usually when I go to the cinema I come out with 2 attitudes, indifferent or raving that what I just watched was amazing. Man of Steel however had me coming out of the cinema saying "Thank **** that's over". No matter how hard I tried to find something that could make me get into the movie and actually care about what was happening I just couldn't. To those of you who liked it all I can say is I'm jealous because I wish I had too! In my opinion it rates lower than the Green Lantern Movie (which again wasn't brilliant but it didn't have me dropping an F bomb upon leaving the cinema either). </p><p> </p><p> I never listen to others opinions on films relating to Marvel or DC... hell any super hero movie to be honest and will ALWAYS go and watch it for myself - even if it gets panned (Elektra) but I did tell a friend afterwards who told me it was "brilliant" and that "I'd love it" to never speak to me again - jokingly of course!</p>
  23. You're entitled to your opinion, doesn't make you a jerk. As for what I'm going to do about it... ummm... maybe employ a favourite of many wrestling fans on other sites and call you some names, talk about your mum and troll a bit because you don't agree with me and my opinion is the all knowing and all conquering "Oz" of opinions? And isn't it what all those cool kids elsewhere are doing? Wait no... we're all grown up's here so I think instead (like your response) I'm just going to be polite and say the "Woo Woo Woo" Here Comes the Choochoo Train gimmick was NEVER entertaining, not even at the start. I agree with you to that extent. Worst thing in WWE right now? No - the gimmick is close, but I liked Ryder before this stupid gimmick. He had potential to be a solid midcard star. Zack's not terrible in ring and can (if given a chance) put on a pretty entertaining match - not CM Punk or Chris Jericho standard but certainly better than some who are getting air time. He's also not bad on the mic (lame ass gimmick aside). My thoughts were just a way to try and freshen him up, give the belt a bit of meaning rather than the trouser belt it appears to be these days and maybe cement both Zack and Fandango into strong midcard wrestlers and in the process get rid of Ryders ridiculous gimmick.
  24. So just heard that Fandango suffered a concussion at the hands of Ryder. Whether legit or not here is how I think the 3 way title match could be "re-booked". Somehow Ryder gets himself into the IC title match as Fandangos replacement. He wins the belt (it's doing nothing on Barrett from what I'm told so could be used in a storyline and help a couple of superstars). Next night on Raw, it is claimed by Miz that Ryder caused the injury intentionally to get Fandangos spot in the match. Ryder denies it and this sets up a match for later on Raw between Ryder and Miz. Ryder, during the match hits the Broski Kick on Miz for the 1,2,3 before smirking to the camera as Miz looks dazed and out of it. Let it build between Miz & Ryder for a bit until Fandango comes back and then have Ryder cut a heel promo saying that in the WWE he has never been given a chance and has had to make his own opportunities unlike Miz and now Fandango who seem to get everything handed to them. He can mention he has worked harder than anyone on the roster but is still over looked by the WWE "powers that be". He admits he intentionally injured Fandango because he figures from now on, he's going to take what he wants and screw what the WWE Universe wants - it's all about Zack Ryder. A bit vague I know, obviously I'm not on creative (nor have I watched Raw since before Wrestlemania) so only went into minor detail, but I think this gives the IC belt some credibility and doesn't hurt anyone involved, - except Barrett maybe, but lets face it, he's not been booked as a strong champion anyway from what I've heard.
  25. I think I heard somewhere Hardy is just resting up and letting a few little injuries heal up. He has put his body through so much over the years it's a wonder he can still walk! TNA might just be trying to use him sparingly.
