  1. Completely understand. Some of these I knew about from friends in the industry, most are disgusting huge reveals. It's completely put me off my BritWres game of TEW and I totally appreciate why you'd want to step away for a bit.

Not even a full detailed explanation, but just some small peaks behind the curtain, or just an answer or a few polite posts. A list of what can or can not be tweaked could do wonders. And for the stuff that can't, a reasoning as to why.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, exactly. The whole point in posting the criticism is so that it can be fed back and responded to, it definitely shouldn't be seen as 'cloud shouting' in the first place. </p><p> </p><p> For clarity, I bought the game day one after enjoying large aspects of the demo and find the game enjoyable in its current state. I especially think the new skin is better than any previous Default skin. </p><p> </p><p> That said, I agree with every single point that Teemu made on the previous page, and continue to hope for improvements to the game (the key things for me being <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546566" rel="external nofollow">something like Slim's excellent mock-up of the stats</a>, <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=547294" rel="external nofollow">larger text/'grades'</a> [<a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546447" rel="external nofollow">alt suggestion</a>], <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=547063" rel="external nofollow">a much quicker way of moving segments in the booking screen</a>, and a filterable Contracts/Roster Overview screen [w/ <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=546915" rel="external nofollow">custom division names</a>].</p><p> </p><p> I hope everyone is keeping well and trying to enjoy themselves as much as The Nickman enjoys his morning coffee. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  4. My first thought when I read that was to think about how unhealthy that was, and how no-one should ever feel like they have to do that to meet expectations, and then I remembered that I did so multiple times for uni assignments. :') Really looking forward to purchasing the game later. I'm waiting for a couple of mods to have a full release (and for Mammoth to update his skin!) before I can really get the full enjoyment out of the game, but I'm certain I'll find something else to do in the meantime.
  5. I feel bad making such a short comment so maybe I'll go through and see if there's anything else I notice a bit later. But anyway, shouldn't Nigel McGuinness be exclusive to NXT?
  6. Is there a mod that renames the existing match types, such as changing 1 v 1 to 'Singles Match' for example? I want to re-name matches like '1 v 1 v 1 v 1 v 1 v 1 Ladder' to 'Six-Man Ladder' but I feel like I'd need them all to be in that format for uniformity - I don't mind going through all 180-odd options myself, but I didn't want to do it if this already exists and can be imported in from somewhere! EDIT: don't worry, I decided to just go through and amend these myself
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Slim Jim" data-cite="Slim Jim" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48899" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>For those asking for Popularity update too:<p> </p><p> Also, I think the titles for each section (Status, Skills, Popularity, Recent Headlines, etc.) should all be centralised in their boxes for uniformity.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Genuinely such a huge improvement. Hope something like this is possible!</p>
  8. I really, really like this mock-up. I have no idea if it's possible but it's my biggest pet peeve when playing right now, that all the skills are jumbled into one with a huge gap between the skill name and number (well, this and how long it takes to move segments around). That said some great strides have been taken into the UI recently which I'm really happy with, so do hope there's a few more.
  9. I'm really hoping both by full release, along with font/font size (particularly on segment screens) these are my biggest gripes at the moment!
  10. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BrokenCycle" data-cite="BrokenCycle" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48813" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Ending storylines no longer "boosts" your wrestlers. How good they do in a storyline in shown in the Storylines page you'll notice with Good, Fairly Good, Poor, etc. and is only a guide of how well you have booked them. They will gain momentum and popularity naturally through your booking. The EWR "boost" is no longer in the game.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> This would make a decent 'EWR Throwback' preference option IMO. Of course, it's pretty cheaty and would make games shorter, but I think that's the entire point in those options anyway.</p>
  11. I don't mind numbers for the worker's stat (although I do think the gap between the name of the stat and the stat itself confusingly too long), but I do really miss grades for the match and show ratings. Especially as the post-show screen seems to have a massive amount of unusued space in the bottom-right corner that could be used for a nice big custom grade icon.
  12. Marketing isn't always spam - people that have signed up here clearly have an interest in the service so it's not like it's aimlessly spamming people that have no interest, and they're always allowed to unsubscribe. I have to say I think it's a good idea. I think there are bound to be people that are/were fans of the series that haven't checked back in here in some time and would appreciate hearing that a new game is coming out.
  13. This is the ideal solution for me too. Would be neat to see something like it.
  14. I'd love a quicker way to get to that screen. It feels like quite a chore at the moment, and it took me a while to find it the first time round!
  15. Can only speak for myself here but thought I'd pipe up as I do personally find the text too small - my monitor is 1920x1080, and while zooming to 125% does help, it does make things slightly more blurry. I imagine it could seem even smaller for those using 4k monitors depending on what else they have open around the window? It doesn't help that my eyesight isn't great anyway to be fair, and I have to up the size to 12px when using spreadsheets for work too, but I don't remember thinking EWR/2016 was too small (even though I think 2016 uses the same size text?)
  16. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Arber" data-cite="Arber" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47618" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>For me it's the buttons right now on that. Also red is too bold. But I just wanted to get the basic layout down while I had the idea and didn't forget about it <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Perhaps two-tone the buttons to add 'shine'? Idk, but it does look nice, and I agree that a lot of those that like the mock-up posted elsewhere would be a fan of this. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  17. Yeah, a filter option would be really nice here. I feel like it's also missing in both the match and angle booking screens - I remember back in the EWR days it was super easy to select 'Quick Roster', and be able to easily filter through your workers by push and disposition at a glance. Anything similar to a return to that would be really welcome.
  18. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="franticloser" data-cite="franticloser" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47672" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>While I think the work you've done is super good, I am wondering if this isn't able to be used as a skin, what is the reasoning you have to keep doing it? I mean unless you are working with Adam to find a way to implement it into the game and maybe have it be a future revision or something why put in all the work for no reason? I mean no disrespect like you do incredible work and maybe when the next TEW comes out Adam might be inclined to hire you which would be awesome. Just curious as to your motivations currently.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think he said he wanted it to be used as inspiration - which is fine, and I think a response to Idolized post and perhaps even the creation of an alternative concept that takes these restrictions into consideration would be really helpful. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

It needs one IMO and I don't think it's a vocal minority that thinks this.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Arber" data-cite="Arber" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47578" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Also just in case, if you are changing the font, may I recommend Roboto? It's a freeware license and is modern/contemporary without being in your face. <a href="https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto" rel="external nofollow">https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto</a></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Roboto is a really nice font, that's a good suggestion. I'd also like to see the size of the font increased, although I can get round this by increasing my PC's zoom to 125%.</p>
  20. Big props to Poputt for the colourblindness post - I'm red/green colourblind so that's actually really helpful for me. Looking at the newest screenshots, it's really prevalent to me what a huge difference this colour scheme, the larger text, and the categorised skills make. It's so much easier to digest everything!
  21. I like it a lot. While I'd ideally like some way of being able to sort people into their own specific divisions myself as well, I like the game telling me how a worker is perceived and automatically sorting this for me.
  22. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="SeedyNick" data-cite="SeedyNick" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47672" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Thanks guys, really pleased you liked the design.<p> </p><p> So I've spent another hour or so playing around with the theme of the design I came up with, and had a go at improving the title(s) screen.</p><p> </p><p> I will probably do a few more screens with varied elements (like tables, buttons, etc.) as hopefully that will give a bit of inspiration.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Current title screen:</strong> <a href="https://i.imgur.com/nSWE7L6.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/nSWE7L6.jpg</a></p><p> <strong>My title screen:</strong> <a href="https://i.imgur.com/ld8DfOu.jpg" rel="external nofollow">https://i.imgur.com/ld8DfOu.jpg</a></p><p> </p><p> Thoughts?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Really pretty. I like the bigger picture for the titles themselves (unrelated, I also like this picture to show up on the show screen if that title is being defended). </p><p> </p><p> The grades being used in conjunction with the numbers is nice too. While I knew grades were no longer to be used for stats to allow for Scouting instead, I had no idea that they would be removed for match/show ratings and personally I would like to see them return.</p>
  23. Yeah. It's hard to ignore that element of it, I'm sure there are ways of wording things to not come across so poorly. I'm sure it isn't that hard to just be more kind to each other. That said, until I read this thread I had no idea how to change someone's role or how to add a manager. So it is nice that I learned that, at least. EDIT: I don't think I've posted yet how great I thought the 'Intro to the C-Verse' type thing was at the start of a New Game. That was such a nice touch for someone trying out the universe for the first time, and really help to learn a little bit about each region. I guess this beta reaction thread is the place to mention that!
  24. <p>Not sure why this was moved to Mods - when a lot of what's presented in the OP isn't possible via a mod/skin.</p><p> </p><p> Unless the creator requested it because they intend to later release something in which case, fair enough.</p>
