  1. Very cool concept! I've enjoyed the first two weeks of results, and voted for this 3rd weeks card from the deck. I'll keep posted to this! Always fun trying new ideas to freshen up how you play. Thanks for sharing.

They make up the bulk of the people folder included in 1.04's download so it is advised to download & merge the people folder for the Thunderverse graphics. It's a mix of dan's own renders, renders from the Rest of the World Expansion from the early days of Thunder and the Cutting Room Floor renders that were released with Diamond. This does mean that there are potential clashes with pictures. Going to give this a run after getting a bit bored of the C-verse and never running real world very much.</p>
  3. <p>Here goes another try after bankrupting a Canadian promotion after 2019.</p><p> </p><p> Starting with the promotion, based in the Mid-South with Harry Chadwick as the owner ($60 ppa, set to personality usage and events only). Using the preset product "Old School Rasslin'" with some modifications on my highest levels to give leeway to changes down the line.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="CdrYnHj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CdrYnHj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="LdsgZNT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LdsgZNT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Here is the worker and his base stats after a slight randomized at the start of the game to his skills. Otherwise, set his talents as a booker/owner to default; as in my last game I kept getting dinged for poor gimmicks after spending my points on negotiations and motivating.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="vpRBdRV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vpRBdRV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="nE9sHUg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nE9sHUg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  4. <p>Great job! Love these renders and work overall. Random question, but may I ask what specs you're running FPW on? I have an older pc and may have to wait for an upgrade or the PS4 version.</p><p> </p><p> Maybe the CornellVerse will make it to WWE 2k18 for me first.</p>
  5. <p>Great job Fragz! Always enjoy adding alternate C-Verse logos, etc. into games. </p><p> </p><p> Cheers! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  6. Great work with all of these belts! The company logos look excellent as well. Keep up the hard work! Much appreciated.
  7. <p>Pretty disappointment in the support the top promotion in Canada gets in the C-Verse round here <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="holydogg" data-cite="holydogg" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41364" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Did you manage to get NOTPW profitable?<p> </p><p> After 10 months, never got a profit every month.</p><p> At least the loss are getting thinner because SWF and USPW are overpaying some of my stars like Tim Westibrook, Cameron Vessey or Alexander Robinson <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I would suggest looking into cutting backstage costs via the rules section of management. Specifically paying for hotels and transport every show, if I recall correctly there is a balance between cutting those two and keeping a few others to remain with positive roster rule happiness. This won't dramatically change your finances but you'll see a lower per-show cost analysis before starting your show (after you've booked all the segments) under analysis in the booking section (just below start the show).</p><p> </p><p> I haven't gotten well into a NOTBPW game since roughly TEW '05 but I have given a new save a chance. Using Jeremy Stone as the owner to avoid getting sacked within a year or two for falling to Cult. Luckily all of North America is in a drought (Economy and Industry) instead of just Canada as I have gotten in the past year.</p><p> </p><p> Building to DeColt beating Westybrook at the first PPV in Jan. rather then try and keep it on Westybrook in sake of not having a short title reign. I tried that once before and it failed, leaving my shows weak on-top with low show ratings overall.</p><p> </p><p> Other then building Vessey to a main eventer over the next year, I am trying to figure out if I should kept DeColt as a heel until the last of the Stone boys (still here) retires. As the industry is in the dumps, not having a figurehead during this time as compared to when the industry is hotter later might work better. Might just wait until Vessey is ready to be the top-heel, with Bloodstone getting older he is the future of the company. Tempted to make a run at Greg Gauge before USPW or SWF do but wouldn't mind letting him do his thing on Japanese tours.</p><p> </p><p> Planning to do a 16-team Henson Memorial tournament, starting with week one's television in March and concluding at the PPV. Using the 5 teams already set in the company, Stone & Shooter (continuation of the storyline w/ The Can-Am Blondes), DeColt & Bloodstone, and a handful of thrown together teams who are being tested in house-shows over the next two months. Thinking about bringing in a team from CGC, 4C and ACPW each to job in the 1st round. Ideally an 8-team tournament on the PPV is probably the easiest, however I like the idea of giving shine early to the teams who have to lose in the 2nd round and semi-finals. As well as getting the two teams in the finals on a 3 match win streak. </p><p> </p><p> As I mentioned to begin my post, kinda surprised and dissapointed NOTBPW doesn't even have PPV/Event logos. Going to keep searching the mods forum.</p>
  8. Anyone know if there is a rule of thumb in terms of how many refs and road agents to carry for each fed size? I'm specifically wondering if the cult fed I'm running will have trouble carrying only one person at each role, opposed to the two I have been for the first three months of the created promotion. In an attempt to not only hire a better announcer and offset any penalties I incur during a match above C+, but also attempt to have a month in the green with low economy, low industry and one PPV event a month to start the game.
  9. Makes sense! No use spending the money for a decade then! Cheers.
  10. Go to your roster screen, click on the person in questions contract (e.x. PPA, $820 per show) and you will find a more detailed view of the workers contract, and the option to fire said worker at the bottom. Just wanted to double check here rather then copy my save and sim a few years. If I open a new dojo when new workers aren't set to generate until 2026 (using the C-Verse) then I wouldn't have any graduates right? Or am I mistake for the last game, can't remember if people who were meant to debut in the area chosen will randomly come out of my dojo.
  11. Going to try this for the first time in 2016 later today. Just wondering what the default rules for the Challenge are in terms of injury setting, assuming it's just left at the normal setting? I always set it and relationships a bit higher in my personal games but willing to see how it goes if most people don't tweak the default setting.
  12. Sorry if I missed it, but don't think this question ever got answered pages ago and had no luck browsing through the handbook. Does anyone know what the somewhat subjective product note means. "One attractive female per every 8 men." What is classified as "attractive" in the game? 60? Kinda hard to guess.
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="i effin rule" data-cite="i effin rule" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41406" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>What issues are you seeing? The narratives look correct on my end.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Either the headline or story weren't filled in thus making them not appear in-game if I'm correct. Could have misunderstood. I only noticed when 7 years in the first sim I mentioned, there were various companies outside of the US that had opened but never run a show for years. After setting up the narratives in this second game it seems to have done the trick in terms of having companies run shows within the 1st year (or months) of opening.</p>
  14. One other note, I noticed the Narratives aren't filled out fully in a few cases and some promotions/regions were sitting inactive for years. Just filled them in, excluding the Joshi promotion in the late 20's as the men's promotion starts a year or so earlier and gives their industry a boost. I assume that was the intention and maybe a conversion problem. Just want to make sure so I'm playing a sim how you intended the world to be, and later trying some of my own tweaks.
  15. Fixed all the 0 region broadcasters before starting up my 1st watcher save with the 1920 data. Started with high worker generation, high relationships, extreme injuries, and high death. 7 years in now, I'll post some stuff every decade or so.
  16. Definitely going to give this a long overdue try this weekend! Have never played the '97 C-verse, I'm sure it will give me a better understanding of the current "legends" in our games. Heck, I might even mark out a bit from seeing the game world sorta like it was in TEW '04 at some point in a long save. Cheers for all the hard work and dedication to this series and the board DerekB!
  17. Reading through the history of the CV on the website has got me thinking. Wasn't there or has there ever been a CV mod based on the 70's or 80's? Other than the big stars and workers who retired to stay in the business and thus the CV. We'd have to do some creation of characters and then fine tuning in relation to the current CV (or 2016's) to keep things in check (using the mod guide as well), but it would be hella fun to unleash the territory system to it's full potential with a pure classic C-Verse mod. See where the business ends up in 2016 eventually Thought this would be the best place to post.
  18. This is where the series becomes somewhat subjective I feel. I almost want to call this the "McMahon effect" and the suggested "caps" or limits on ratings in segments or matches based on "stats" or workrate/skill, isn't as severe or world ending as some would assume. I think it's a part of the overall formula no doubt, but to suggest over the course of a multiple year save you can't book your way around things is where the game gets subjective. Not that you were outright saying this, but that's the base of many arguments on here regarding the above game mechanics. Such as personality traits and promos, charisma and star quality = overness cap, etc. Only person who could outright explain this in detail is Adam. I'd personally never like to know some of these things in numbers or formula, but a detailed (and correct) description in a game-manual or guide like Idolz has produced would be a great resource. If only to end some crazy arguments we seem to have every iteration between almost an "old"/"new" guard of players
  19. Wow, as always Idol! Well done and thank you! You're the best!
  20. Regardless of how, if and when. If we one day get this, I will love it. One thing I wish the C-Verse included was heavy historical info even with workers no longer wrestling. It's really too much to ask, but one-day maybe a board effort could piece together stuff pre and post 97 until whenever the first C-Verse was released (2005??? I forget). I would probably "mark out" if I could start a "Dawn of cable TV" era type C-Verse game and try and run with it, waiting for people like Mr. Cornell, McFly, et. all. start showing up. It might just be the wrestling geek in me but one of the cool things about wrestling is its history. Reading, watching or learning about things before you were born or even a fan. Having this look back perspective in your data as well as the C-Verse would be fantastic. With either a Thunder or C-Verse game as you would have historical "landmarks" lets call them to pass. Such as how many titles or times wrestler "x" has won a tournament, wrestled in the main event, drawn the most money in a country or world.
  21. Thought I'd bring this wonderful mod back up to the first back with a little bump about my new save with the newest version of WotW. Started up a game with WWF this time as in the past I would always run WCW and start the Monday Night Wars from that end. Laughed when a few days in I got an email from my shortlist about WCW offering Warrior a written deal, I didn't even mess around and offer him a 30k+ a month written deal to counter. They scooped him up and now the New Generation of the WWF will begin in the new year. Going to have Shawn and Bret at Mania in an Iron Man match as that is probably my favourite match of all time. My other goal is to attempt to keep Hall and Nash in the WWF and run with their Diesel and Razor gimmicks for as many years as possible until they get stale. On the bottom tier of my goals would be to get Owen Hart into the main event as a legit contender in the next few years again like he was against Bret in '94. A funny note, Man Mountain Rock had an expiring deal in the first month so I decided to job him out a few times in dark matches and once on Superstars. He got upset, and then I got a news note not too long later that he had been caught in possession of soft drugs. I fired him and then got a note that the media had picked up on the story and was connecting the WWF to it in the media, etc, etc. Dipped in company prestige from A to B+ overnight, thanks Buffalo Peterson lmao. Looks like his little home video from RL came out to play in my save . I thought this was hilarious, especially as I'm playing as Vince in owner/booker; so have been being a dick to certain people and giving my post-match shows to the Clique. I've also found it quite funny that within a month Kevin Sullivan had politic'd his way into Main Event feuds with Hogan in WCW and Jimmy Snuka in the CWA despite not being head-booker in either promotion. Interested to see if he ends up with a World title or something at some point.
  22. Hive, I have a WCW game about to go into '96 that I've been thoroughly enjoying. I'll post some notes and stuff for you though I'm sure many of your sims went much further than the first few months of gameplay, just interesting to see how each plays out. Jarrett is WWF champ and still on a PPA (assuming because he won't leave Memphis) but I doubt I can poach him away, considering I'm playing as Bischoff as well (making it much harder to get most of the top free agent talent at the start.) Thanks again for all your hard work, this is maybe my favourite mod thus far on the board.
  23. Looking forward to starting a new WCW or ECW game with this mod sometime this week! Never ended up doing it earlier, if I have any notes I'll send them your way. Things are looking pretty good now though, just gonna make the minor changes noted myself in the meantime. Great job

Whichever year everyone decided "The More, The Better" and went import crazy. And you had the creating these very specific angles that really had no difference from once another. For example instead of simply worker a attacks worker b, we got "Worker attacks B wearing a suit", "Worker A attacks worker B, and poses after". Then with the gimmicks you've got Powerhouse, Strong Man, Strong Wrestler, Olympic Strong Man, Olympic Powerlifter, Failed Olympic Powerlifter, Occasional Powerlifter. Or you've got the requirements not making any sense or having a consistency that the Default stuff Adam put out has.<p> </p><p> Some of these excesses have still lingered over years later thanks to the import feature. We are only just starting to get rid of that thanks to the built from scratch mods, or the ones that greatly fine tuned everything they imported.</p><p> </p><p> On one hand its great to have as many people contributing to modding as possible, but if you fundamentally misunderstood the way the game works, along with seemingly pro wrestling in general(this becomes really obvious when you look at the created gimmicks) , you probably shouldn't be tinkering with the game.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Well put, I agree fully.</p>
  25. <p>It's fine man. I appreciate yours and everyone else's work, just some people seemed to have taken the easy way out and released stuff not worth it. Just from reading other threads that is.</p><p> </p><p> Pretty much got an 88, 91, 94, 95 playable from what I know.</p><p> </p><p> Lacking later.</p>
