1. Well, well, well, look what I've found here! Interesting thread this is. Since I gave up trying to make ever-growing EWR/TEW databases, I've been trying to help the Fire Pro community grow. I'm the day to day guy of the Fire Pro Club, which is a Facebook page and a Twitter account offering support and popularizing the game, both of which have over 1000 members. FPC has been around since 1993, this is how it exists now. I'm not the boss of the thing, but as is tradition in the Fire Pro community, the real boss is rather silent and the day to day guy pretty much runs it (Ever noticed that? Higher Power / MrMDK, Tiger Sword / C-Drive, Hoss & me, quiet big boss, active d2d guy...) Right now is as good a time as any to take the plunge. The game is cheap, the scene is as vibrant as I've seen any scene, (and I was at the heart of the sim world during the Monday Night Wars AND involved in the first 3 years of complete mods being a thing in MLB The Show) and Spike Chunsoft are absolute saints to us. You know with what's happening with EA and microtransactions and such, Spike Chunsoft is like the complete opposite. They just give and give, and not only do they give, but they give what the community wants. Oh and there's the mods... Everything you see here is custom. The wrestlers (may be mine), the ref, the ring, even the camera angle was modded in. We're swimming in gaming riches, here. This is the freakin' klondike. Because of my involvment in the community I was the second person to play the game before it launched and I knew this would change everything the second I saw that layers system in edit mode. And then came the official patches, and then came the fan-made editor, and then came the fan-made ****ing thingamajic that allows us to port FPR edits straight to World, then came 35000 edits, then came Carlzilla's Mod. Just amazing.
 2. Just updating you on Rougeau. There is no update on Rougeau. Nobody left, nobody joined. He'll have guys graduating on the June 24th show, which is when people graduate every year and I think I had that in my data. I'll catch one of the shows on that tour to see the new guys, and if anybody has new gimmicks. Still, just sold out a show in Granby, Quebec. 4000 fans in attendance. He keeps on rolling. He'll also have a new website at http://jacquesrougeau.ca/ so maybe it will be easier to get pictures and results/cards and such. I talk to Jacques semi regularly and he sees no money in putting the Montreal Wrestling tape library, dating back 50-60 years and starring not only the top locals but top talent from all over the world, online. Old man stuck in his ways. Still, he makes money, can't argue with money.
 3.
Looking forward to being published in this. First time I publish workers since like 2006!

The time is right for Rougeau's family wrestling show to be in. Owens is world champion and now you can also play the 2nd guy from there that's getting a tryout at the Performance Center!

They're appropriately low on the totem pole. Also comes with a dozen of Quebec independents, including the big threatening Darkko, sex symbol Sexxxy Eddy, veteran Handsome JF and, IMO, the most annoying tag team in wrestling, La Dynastie Mascouchoise starring former IWS annoyance Fred La Marveille and former Rougeau Wrestling annoyance Stevie Fabulous (now Fabulous Stevie ©, because, reasons).

In closing, enjoy Mike "Le Hurleur" Bross VS Le Lutteur Magicien (No longer around), including various magic tricks and bad post-production. And Cedric going over, of course. This is Rougeau wrestling now. This aired on national TV in prime time on a comedy award show. In short, it's for little kids.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UjWurSbiLE

 4.

Is UltraMantis retired or an active worker? The no foreign rule only applies to active wrestlers.

Good point. He's retired. As is Steve Corino, that I've also seen them hire, but he's Canadian.

I'm thinking they're hired as road agents? The fed I made doesn't have any and there aren't any locals to take the job either... I'll try to fix that.

 5.
Does the No Foreign Workers hiring rule work for any of you?

I'm playing a modified version of Fleisch's latest database on game version 1.31 and the promotion I've added in there is based in Canada and wouldn't hire Foreign Workers (i.e., Americans)

I've been simming as unemployed so I can see how the promotion I've added behaves when controlled by the CPU, and it keeps hiring American workers despite having the No Foreign Workers hiring rule. They hired UltraMantis Black within the first month in all three of my simulations.

So, do I understand the hiring rule wrong or should I report this as a bug?

 6.
My arena file is freeware, of course. There's really no point to making it if it's not!

Plus the previous version is ubiquitous in a lot of mods already, so that's just the continuity of that.

About the good ol' days of the mod wars... I'll just quote my favourite video game...

"Our era of folly is over. I'm the only one left (?), and soon, I'll be gone too." - Big Boss, MGS4

Genadi has made the ol' days obsolete with his work. And the community is better now than ever. I just hope for a boom period in wrestling so that you guys have a greater audience. The game and the mod work are awesome.

"This is good, isn't it?" - Same

 7.
Wow.

Your guide should come with the game.

Tremendous work. I learned a lot.

As a mod maker, I never could make the jump from EWR to TEW Series because TEW Series has so much more depth, and it got more in-depth as it went on, and a lot of it went way past me, even though lots of it was stuff we dreamed about having back in the day. So, for me, your guide is the rosetta stone to TEW mod-making. MAYBE, just maybe, now I can do something more relevant than releasing a Locations file every year!
