  1. I snapped up Remo for my growing CZCW as SWF faded. I immediately had him in the main event picture and soon in the title picture where he met my CZCW Champion Spencer Spade. They pulled a 76, the worst match on the show, when I still had a main event focus. I was determined though, and put them together again on TV the following week, drawing a 73 and putting Spade on the shelf for 3 months. Spencer’s my guy and has always, to this point, delivered. Remo’s dead to me.
  2. I’m playing as CZCW, but my version isn’t that similar to January 2020’s CZCW. I have a Women’s brand because integrated rosters make my skin crawl, and the CZCW ladies need major help, which is most easily attainable by bringing in QAW stars but allowing them to develop there too. Or bring in Alicia Strong, Pariah, Brooke Tyler, Amber Allen, Fuyoko Higa, Shiori Jippensha and supplement them with a smattering of others. If J.K. Stallings dropped $50m on Cliff Anderson’s desk, they can challenge the top 3, but not with many of the starting roster. I hate PSW. They have Ernest Youngman, Nelson Callum, Ash Campbell and Rich ‘n’ Famous but have to work hardcore. If Mitch Naess were to shut up shop, he’d be the hottest free agent in wrestling and if he took his place in the TCW announcing booth with those five guys and a few tag teams added to the roster (American Cobras, Cali Dragons if you can steal Mikey Lau, Matthew Keith to join his brother, KC Glenn and his mentor Joey Morgan), TCW could rule the wrestling world. I don’t care much for Japanese, Mexican or European companies, they just don’t interest me, as with real life. I wish I had played with MOSC. 21CW, SWF and RAW I just can’t book (CZCW only works for me because they have no storyline requirements). I’ve seen USPW be toppled, dumped by Reverie and had The Force become the owner and booker, trading the belt with James Justice, moving towards his 60th birthday. For such a dominant company, they’re in rough shape.
  3. In CZCW, I threw together Frankie Perez and Frankie-Boy Fernandes and found great chemistry. Frankie-Boy already had a retired Pablo Rodriguez as his manager. They were the New Wave Outlaws, and went well until I really needed Frankie-Boy to move up to the main event; Perez joined a number of veterans helping the youngsters in developmental, save for one more run when I managed to bring in the New Wave.
  4. 10 weeks into his first TCW title reign, Jay Chord decided to step away from wrestling and go into the murky world of politics. 8 months later, his TCW contract expired. In January 2023, after many months of him not returning to wrestling, he said he had political commitments but would be back in the ring within the next year. In May 2023, same message. My question is, do I have to keep asking him, or will he just come back in his own time?

  6. I've played since 2004, so I can see why it would be difficult to break into and, in my opinion, the current version is particularly tough as most of those "go to" indy prospects are now stars under written contract and the next generation aren't nearly as polished and require a lot of work. For me, until now, the struggle sticking with a game was the grind of booking TV. For that reason, I'd start with a promotion without TV. My 2020 save, now in April 2023, was with CZCW. No TV at the start of the game, gimmicks aren't necessary and they don't run storylines: your job is to put on a wrestling showcase, even when you introduce TV. When you get to that point, just keep decent records in excel to avoid running the same match too often. Tag matches can be your friend, my schedule is essentially PPV, 1v1 rematch, 2v2, 3v3 then 4v4 with one of those 4 facing the champion and the cycle starts again. Subbing out just one person means you won't get stung with having run the same match 4 times. Yes, it's formulaic, but it works for me and keeps me interested and growing (even with an economy and wrestling industry in the toilet, Jim Force running and booking USPW who have just one B-show on Reverie and Cliff Anderson running and Marv Earnest booking TCW [i appreciate this won't mean much to you, but for me, it's really exciting!]). Aside from the above, I'd follow the advice given. Look at old demos, CV97 is a great mod, the Re-render thread is an awesome resource and makes up for some pics which seemingly haven't evolved in 15 years, although I've not done the leg work to confirm that, I may be being harsh. Once you become invested, it is so worth it.
  7. I love to see a CZCW diary, particularly as I'm 2.5 years in to a save of my own. It may seem like a cheat, but early on, I moved to main event focus as with Pablo Rodriguez or Frankie Perez, I could raise the event rating considerably with either in the main event. Al Coleman as Frankie's dance partner is a great choice, he's a solid hand and is still part of my midcard now (Pablo retired and Frankie offered to put over everyone to his own detriment). Really interested to see where you go with this!
  8. Greg Black. I don't dislike him, but he had pop and my top guys (in CZCW) didn't. Three matches and he lost them to Frankie Perez, Aldous Blackfriar, who was a midcarder, and someone else. He left and when Elmo Benson became available, he had no intention of coming back. I wouldn't even have buried him that time: the matches with the Cobras and Rich and Famous (and much later, Natural Storm, the Bumfholes, James Diaz and Logan Wolfsbaine and Matt and Greg). I also did it to Lassana Makutsi too. He came in and within a fortnight got popped by my random drug testing. He went off to rehab for 7 months or so, came back and, when I tested him, he failed again. Next four shows, he lost to my jobbers in dominating fashion, gave him another test and fired him. He was picked up three weeks later by USPW, but his attributes have him down as a former user, so maybe it was for the best?
  9. I'd like to see a massive surge in new workers, all over the world. I'd like to see BritCo turning TCW into the #2 in America. by developing their own talent, like T-Bone Bright and Nick Booth and the territory guys like Ernest Youngman, Nelson Callum, Frankie-Bpy Fernandes etc, I'd like to see CWA do some roster management, it seems bloated. I'd like USPW to raid SWF for the first time since Black Wednesday, maybe TCW and CWA too, and phase out their aging workers (I've played up to 2030 and James Justice is still featuring in their upper card at 60, along with Rich Money and a host of others). I'd like to see more relationships. I can't fathom why experienced tag teams don't have a strong friendship between each other, at least. More boy/girlfriends, engagements and marriages. New pictures. A 40 year old shouldn't look like a 25 year old any more. Enough pictures to not have to turn the requirement off for Indian workers. New workers having their own pictures and bios. I don't think this needs to sit entirely on Adam. There are plenty of creative people on these forums, who can create thousands of workers and pictures (which Adam admits isn't his forte), to build a bigger, deeper database.
  10. KC Glenn is killing it for me in CZCW. I always used to struggle with his lack of mic skills, but his match ratings are excelkent. For me, it's California Love Machine. Stupid name, not as good as Frankie-Boy Fernandes and doesn't really do it in the ring despite having the stats to suggest he should. With Frankie-Boy having great tag chemistry with Frankie Perez, CLM is just there. I'd love to feel compelled to do something with him.
  11. I'd like to see somewhere to 'store' opinions. At the moment you get an email from a worker, saying you should strap a rocket to worker X, give someone promo time etc etc. These could maybe sit as a second page within the promises menu, but with an option to hide or delete them when they become invalid (pushing hard someone who has since become my promotion's champion of figurehead, for example).
  12. Really enjoying this! Can you send Louie Spicolli to rehab, quickly? He died in mid-February 1998 and I always thought he had potential to be a solid part of the midcard.
  13. Merrykieran, your updates are excellent. It'd almost inspire me to start a new save with CZCW if I hadn;t gotten further than I ever have with TCW. KUTGW!
