Is there a list of 2020 yet to debut talents that were removed?

There is not. Most workers past 2010 were removed though. Tried to keep people who I knew were big but got rid of most others. In part due to adding more wrestlers at the start and in other part due to wrestlers who will come in through dojos taking up a lot of space as time goes on.

Discussion about things and criticism is fine but we're drawing the line at baiting people into responding on here. If that's how things work elsewhere then fine but a hard no to any posts calling for responses. Ideally it would be discussion about things that are actually happening in AEW instead of five pages back and forth about a talking point raised by an unaffiliated podcast etc.

This part is me taking the mod hat off now. Things like what TV deal might or might not be coming is an incredibly tiresome talking point that really doesn't have any outcome on the actual product and it's always so weird when it's brought up as a major deal breaking thing. TNA never had this level of in depth scrutiny about what TV deal that they'd get even in the POP TV days or whatever that network was called. A lot of the way the posts about AEW come off (to me) is that people feel obligated to them in one way or another so everything is always magnified be it positive or negative. A subpar Raw can come and go but a subpar Dynamite just leads to days and days of Discourse.

People criticize WWE constantly, the discussion thread here is a good example of that. For some reason when criticism of AEW comes up then it gets completely invalidated as “too much” or “if you don’t like it don’t watch it”. People should be allowed to criticize or ask about what others think would be helpful for improving a promotion without being shouted down or insulted. Just have a discussion and let people give their opinions.

  3. I have no clue who will win these tournaments. I could see any of the possible people left win. Randy could win to set up a feud with Cody, Tama Tonga could win and have an interesting dynamic between Gunther and The Bloodline, Gunther could win which is the most likely option.

For the ladies I could see Lyra getting the W, Nia winning to gain back some momentum since her lost to Liv, and Bianca I could see winning to establish the tournament but doubt she will since she’s in the team with Jade now.

AEW simply existing and being a very successful number two wrestling company in the US has broken so many brains. Being the biggest nonsports program every week, this week included, somehow requires thinkpieces and open debates on how to turn around a sinking ship, etc. Maybe when they sign the next TV deal that will stop the dorks from complaining, since making money is the most important thing to fans for some reason? Probably not though.

AEW is far from my favorite wrestling promotion currently, maybe my fourth?, but there is so much wild discourse surrounding every show, more than any promotion maybe ever, that there's an entire grift economy that AEW has created. Countless podcasters, YouTubers and websites get their biggest engagement and thus make the most money when they have an angry Tony Khan thumbnail and negative AEW title. It's hard to separate real criticism from those hopping on for the grift.

Why are you insulting people as “dorks” and being in my view condescending with your remarks towards people on here?

  5. CGC Bubbleweight Title: Tempest Appleby vs Helen Wheels
    John McClean vs Jack DeColt
Royal Canadian Air Force vs Condor & Mario Heroic

As soon as he announced “Gang Warfare” I was questioning what that meant. Personally I’m partial to an Elimination Tag. Usually for something big like this I like to have stakes as well. Whether that be, getting five mins with a manager, barring a manager from ringside for a period of time, someone losing hair, money, some sort of humiliation, a title, etc.

As for the show I was assuming George was used to pad up the show without Steve and Bowen there. Even being disappointed by the 79 the space between that and everything else was immense. That helped your rating ALOT.

I’m curious if this suspension stops Bowen from getting the title match. I assume not but am interested if Rogers will be the reason for that.

-New Deceased Workers, Dick Holtz (wrest.), Janos Meggyesfalvi (wrest.), Omaha Sharp (Wrest.), Rafael Torres (Wrest.)

-AI Renders have been put in for many workers in the database along with skill changes to more accurately represent the renders.

-Multiple companies have updated logos, titles, and event renders.

-Added PCA, TWA, ASW, MAS, WRW, KRBO, NJWF, & MWC to closed promotions at the start of the game.

-Titles have been added to give history to closed promotions added in this update.

-Minor cosmetic details touched up, including name changes, nationality changes, size changes, among others.

-Thanks to assistance from Darkness94, there a more wrestlers with Polish heritage in the Great Lakes region. With that, I decided to add a new promotion out of the Great Lakes run by Howard Sunnacker (fka Coyne) called Great Lakes Sports Club (GLSC). They have a history stemming back to the 30’s. In modern times they are struggling to stay afloat with an insistence on booking the same old talent as always, which is leading to diminishing returns.

-ETPW (Ernie Todd Pacific Wrestling) is now added to the database as a North Western-based U.S. promotion. This promotion has gained a reputation for poor payouts and a manipulative promoter in Todd who tries to swindle his workers. As the 70’s come to a close they are in a poor position with a closure likely imminent.

-WSW has been turned into Black Bear Promotions (BBP) to give it a more expansive feel. They formed via an exodus of ETPW, by Todd’s top star Papa Bear Reilly.
