  1. LSW King Of The Rodeo 2022 - Day #3 Tuesday, Week 1, October 2022 Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 3,731 people 91,896 viewers on WrestleWorld “Platinum” James Prudence and “The Draw” Cali Slick open the show with a nice staredown to get the crowd hotter. [51] James Prudence vs Cali Slick in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a good balanced match, James Prudence avoids the Slick-Back by his opponent and hits the Surf’s Up immediately after. “The Draw” kicks off at two, showing some resistance, bet eventually “Platinum” locks him in his Prudential Pain Plan and forces him to tap out after fifteen minutes. [60] We're heading backstage where Prime Time Jack Pryde, accompanied by his valet Venus Angeletti, is confronted by The Most Wanted faction who thanks them for their help during the First Round, saying they wanted to return the favor in Jack Pryde's match. "Prime Time" admits that rather than helping them, his goal was to teach Tavon Blake Jr, Miller Fforde and Xavi Ferrera a lesson, but hey! Jack Pryde likes this entire "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" partnership, so maybe they will link up again in the near future. [41] Shooter Sean Deeley vs Bandit Waylon Walls in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo “The Bandit”, accompanied by Maverick Chip Martin and Outaw Wes Revell, acts tough in front of Sean Deeley, but “The Shooter” isn’t impressed by his South West thug attitude and kicks his butt. In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Sean Deeley defeats Bandit Waylon Walls in seven minutes by submission with a Seated Stretch Armbar. The ring rust is finally gone for “The Shooter” who delivers a great in-ring performance. [56] Outlaw Wes Revell vs Al Coleman in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Another member of The Most Wanted has his Second Round match, in a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd. “The Outlaw” showcases his brawling abilities, but is eventually forced to tap out when “Mr. Submission” Al Coleman traps him in an Ankle Brace. [55] Maverick Chip Martin vs Taheiji Konoe in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Two out, third at bat. Maverick Chip Martin seeks a victory to carry the banner of The Most Wanted into the final rounds, but his opponent "The Animal" Taheiji Konoe that batters him in almost six minutes, pinning him after a Savage Cradle DDT. The Most Wanted goes 0-3 in the Second Round, while Duka hazzard celebrates his client, a Japanese beast who’s having an impressive Rodeo run. [43] Before their match, the madman facepainted vigilante Southern Stinger has a verbal argument with his upcoming opponent, Zeus Maxmillion, as "The Bronzed God" insults the fan favorite and promises to reduce his clown face to mush. The LSW Brass Knuckles champ keeps his nutty attitude, saying he is impatient to find out if even a God can be defeated. [49] Southern Stinger vs Zeus Maxmillion in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a good match, "The Bronzed God" physically imposes himself on the LSW Brass Knuckles champ for most of the time in the first half of the bout, but "The Stinger" builds a nice comeback then. Zeus Maxmillion then seems to regain control of the match, and after almost twelve minutes he goes for his Olympian Clutch to seal the deal. Southern Stinger however rolls back on his stomach, managing with a sly move to get his opponent on the mat for a fast roll up: 1 ... 2 .. 3!! "The Stinger" did it! He defeats Zeus Maxmillion by pinfall to advance to the final rounds. [53] Texas Hangman vs Dreadnought in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo As expected, this heavyweights clash turns into a wild brawl pretty fast, and it turns out to be a decent one, especially thanks to Texas Hangman’s performance. Last year, we had the same match-up and “The Hangman” won by count out, while this year the former adept of The Strong Hand defeats Dreadnought by pinfall with a Choke Slam after eight minutes. [48] Right before his match, Prime Time Jack Pryde wanders backstage, appearing to have finally found who he was looking for. Maverick Chip Martin is intercepted by "Prime Time" requesting his help and that of the other members of The Most Wanted for his bout. "The Maverick," however, is not in the mood and so are his teammates Wes Revell and Waylon Walls, as all three got eliminated from the Rodeo tonight. Chip Martin leaves a disappointed Jack Pryde on the scene, telling him that if he wanted their help, he should have helped them in turn during their own tournament bouts earlier on. It’s a “do ut des” thing, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. [42] Prime Time Jack Pryde vs Jared Johnson in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a decent match, Jack Pryde tries to keep up with Jared Johnson’s technical skills, but fails. A couple of distracion from his valet Venus Angeletti helps “Prime Time”, but eventually the cocky heel gets trapped into “Double J”’s Carolina Crossface after ten minutes, and has no other choice but to tap out. Jared Johnson reaches the final rounds of the King of the Rodeo! [53] Davis Wayne Newton vs Kip Keenan in the Second Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The LSW Texas Heavyweight champ, Kip Keenan, and the former LSW Brass Knuckles champ, Davis Wayne Newton, square up in tonight’s main event. In a bout that has superb wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Kip Keenan defeats Davis Wayne Newton in seventeen minutes by pinfall, connecting his One-Winged Eagle to close the match. Another huge performance by the champ, head and shoulder above everyone else in Lone Star Wrestling at the moment. [70] And to close the event and hype tomorrow’s Day #4 with the final rounds, all eight remaining competitors join the squared circle, for a collective staredown. “Mr. Submission” Al Coleman, “Platinum” James Prudence, Shooter Sean Deeley, Brass Knuckles champ Southern Stinger, Texas Heavyweight champ Kip Keenan, “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe, Texas Hangman and “Double J” Jared Johnson. Who’s going to be crowned The King of The Rodeo? 2. @Nobby_McDonald I have to go with Takeshita, Dustin and Miro for both matches
  3. LSW King Of The Rodeo 2022 - Day #2 Monday, Week 1, October 2022 Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 4,043 people 77,128 viewers on WrestleWorld Frantic Ali vs Southern Stinger in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Presented as a really tough opponent from South West, Frantic Ali gives a good fight to LSW Brass Knuckles champ Southern Stinger. In a bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Southern Stinger defeats Frantic Ali in twelve minutes by pinfall with a Rayne Drop. [56] Carlos Gonzalez vs Jared Johnson in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Accompanied by his niece Marco, Carlos Gonzalez takes on Jared Johnson. In a decent match that lasts around ten minutes, “Double J” avoids the Flat-Out by the arrogant Puerto Rican, before puting him into a Carolina Crossface that forces him to tap out. [54] Next on the card, Luis Montero Jr makes his Lone Star Wrestling debut, being presented as a fierce wrestler from a well known Mexican family. Then, Duke Hazzard - who in the last year did multiple appearances as color commentator - walks out to present his new client, also making his debut in the Mid South and generally speaking in the US. Coming straight from Japan, “The Sheriff” welcomes “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe! An hardcore wrestler with savage intensity. [29] Taheiji Konoe vs Luis Montero Jr in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a bout that has sub-par wrestling, “The Animal” Taheiji Konoe does a good impression by defeating Luis Montero Jr in seven minutes after his Savage Cradle DDT. The announcing quality lifts the match. The intensity that the Japanese brings to the table is certainly something to build him around. [41] Davis Wayne Newton vs Tigre Salvaje Jr in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The fourth match on the card is former Brass Knuckles champ Davis Wayne Newton against Tigre Salvaje Jr, one half of The Wild Cats. In a decent match, “Triple Threat” is able to defeat his opponent to qualify to the Second Round, pinning him in nine minutes after a Fisherman’s Suplex. [55] Rob Reynolds vs Dreadnought in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a bout that has a decent reaction from the Dallas fans, but sub-par wrestling, Dreadnought defeats babyface Rob Reynolds in seven minutes, after hitting him with a Dread Bomb to seal the deal. The young behemot still looks green in the ring, and tonight he also seems off his game. His agent Laura Catherine Huggins does some great work at ringside though. [48] And up next, take a look at take a look at who has arrived here in the Mid South: “The Bronzed God” Zeus Maxmillion! A huge name shows up for the King of the Rodeo, flexing his muscles and looking disdainfully at the Dallas crowd. [60] Zeus Maxmillion vs El Jaguar in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Definitely not the hardest bout Zeus Maxmillion fought in, “The Bronzed God” defeats El Jaguar by submission in six minutes after applying his devastating Olympian Clutch on the Mexican luchador. Good wrestling, decent reaction from the crowd, this match delivered! [60] Shooter Sean Deeley vs Samoan Machine in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The wrestling machine known as Shooter Sean Deeley faces an opponent who could give him a run for his money on the intensity level. Strong, technically skilled, and with the tenacity of a pit bull, Samoan Machine enters the Rodeo! Both still rusty in the ring, the match turns out to be underwhelming to say at least. Shooter Sean Deeley forces Samoan Machine to submit in ten minutes with a Front Choke Lock. [38] James Prudence makes his entrance cheered by the fans, and to his surprise the other competitor in this last First Round match is "Fabulous" Eddie Chandler! A veteran of this business, the Canadian wrestler is best known for his runs with CGC, where he won the World title, and TCW. A natural heel, Eddie Chandler goes out of his way to immediately antagonizes all the fans, who side with "Platinum" James Prudence. [58] James Prudence vs Eddie Chandler in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo The in-ring performances of this two veterans are naturally are less bright due to their age, still the bout has lots of energy and great heat from the crowd. After fifteen minutes, James Prudence scores the W after his second Surf’s Up, pinning “Fabulous” to pass the turn and reach the Second Round. [50] Not a bad night in terms of in-ring performances, still not having ongoing storylines featured in the event gives it a malus in the overall rating. The eight matches of the Second Round will take place tomorrow! OVERALL RATING: 49
  4. LSW King Of The Rodeo 2022 - Day #1 Sunday, Week 4, September 2022 Held in Dallas, TX (Mid South) in front of 3,905 people 86,618 viewers on WrestleWorld Tavon Blake Jr vs Maverick Chip Martin in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a poor match, Maverick Chip Martin defeats Tavon Blake in eight minutes by pinfall with a Super Kick, following interference from a masked guy, who the announcing table assumed was either Bandit Waylon Walls or Outlaw Wes Revell, faction allies of Chip Martin in The Most Wanted. This match gets the show off to a strong start. [42] Cali Slick vs Tyrone Gray in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo Keeping up with tradition, new faces of the pro wrestling world are expected to pop up to take part in the Rodeo, the first one this year is the energetic high-flyer Tyrone Gray, going face-to-face with Cali Slick. Despite bad chemistry between the competitors, the bout turns out to be pretty decent, and Cali Slick defeats Tyrone Gray in nine minutes by pinfall with a Slick-Back. [52] Miller Fforde vs Bandit Waylon Walls in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a decent match, "The Fighting Underdog" Miller Fforde recovers after a troubled start, setting himself up for the decisive blow. Anyway though, a distraction from the masked guy whe saw before cost him the match, as Bandit Waylon Walls hits his Jumping Double Arm DTT to score the W. The Most Wanted goes 2/2 at the moment, and everyone is pretty sure that under the mask must be Outlaw Wes Revell, right? [45] Returning backstage, Bandit Waylon Walls reunites with Maverick Chip Martin and Outlaw Wes Revell, already dressed in his ring gears for his upcoming match. Ricky Dale Johnson, accompanied by his assistant Mya Catalan, gives The Most Wanted a wash, almost questioning Wes Revell asking him if he's hastily disposed of the black mask and clothes to throw him off. RDJ is sure that he was behind the masked man, or rather, he would have no other clues at all. Therefore, RDJ calls in some security guards to monitor Chip Martin and Waylon Walls backstage during Wes Revell's tournament match. And the boss is pretty sure that, this time, no one will get to save The Most Wanted. [43] Al Coleman vs Frankie Perez in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo For the third time, Frankie Perez makes an appearance in Lone Star Wrestling, once again to take part in the King of the Rodeo tournament, being presented as a big deal on the South West scene. In a good West Coast singles bout, Al Coleman eventually traps Frankie Perez in his Ankle Brace, forcing “Buzzsaw” to tap out after sixteen minutes. Both competitors have tried to steal the show, have done it, but they were visibly tired toward the end. [63] Xavi Ferrera vs Outlaw Wes Revell in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a balanced decent match, Xavi Ferrera and Outlaw Wes Revell fight fo ten minutes before the masked man surprisingly appears again while the ref is down! We know he can't be Revell himself, nor one of the other members of The Most Wanted faction. The masked man attacks Xavi Ferrera, but he reacts and manages to unmask his assailant: IT'S PRIME TIME! IT'S JACK PRYDE! The cocky young gun leaves the ring after being discovered, and Outlaw Wes Revell blindsides his opponent with a Neckbreaker to win the match: 1 ... 2 .. 3! The Most Wanted guys all go to the Second Round. [51] Well known veteran wrestler Texas Pete surprisingly appears as the opponent of Texas Hangman, having a nice staredown with the young big heavyweight. The more careful will remember how "The Hangman" and Texas Pete had a match at the very second LSW event ever in February 2020. At that time, Texas Hangman, who won, was the bad guy and Pete was a beloved veteran. Today the roles are reversed, as Texas Hangman is cheered while Texas Pete with simple gestures skillfully manages to turn against the crowd, allowing a classic babyface vs heel singles match. [50] Texas Hangman vs Texas Pete in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In a five-minute wild brawl, keep it short probably as Texas Pete has no stamina to last much longer, Texas Hangman defeats Texas Pete once again, pinning him in the center of the ring after his Choke Slam to advance to Second Round. [37] Prime Time Jack Pryde vs David Stone in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo After causing havoc under a mask in three previous matches, Prime Time Jack Pryde goes one-on-one against Next Gen star David Stone. In a decent match, The Most Wanted walk out to help "Prime Time" who seems genuinely surprised, as if there was no previous agreement between him and the heel brigade to help him in this bout. However, Miller Fforde, Xavi Ferrera and Tavon Blake Jr - all eliminated before against The Most Wanted members because of Jack Pryde - lash out at the heels at ringside, unleashing some chaos. This still ends up favoring Prime Time Jack Prude, who wins the match after eight minutes thanks to a quick cradle pin. [46] Kip Keenan vs Quentin Queen in the First Round of LSW King Of The Rodeo In the main event of the night, once again LSW Texas Heavyweight champion Kip Keenan delivers a stellar in-ring performance, carrying Quentin Queen who also does a decent job. In a bout that has great wrestling and some reaction from the crowd, “The American Eagle” defeats Quentin Queen in fifteen minutes, connecting his One-Winged Eagle to seal the deal. [69] OVERALL RATING: 61

  6. Hi DarK_RaideR, nice to see another diary of yours and this Romania madness seems fun for a European guy like me lol
  7. Total Wrestling News: Reasons For LSW Champ's Absence TWN learned the real reason for the absence of LSW Tag Team champ Ralph Liotta during LSW Thunderstrike 2022, which consequently cancelled the title match between champs The Heartbreak Express and challengers The American Cobras. Plain and simple, Liotta was asked by the Confederation Of The Territories to appear on IPW show in South West the very same night of LSW Thunderstrike 2022, and decided to go there instead of attending his show in Corpus Christi, forcing LSW to make some card adjustments. As might be expected, the management was not at all happy with the choice, especially since Ralph Liotta is holding a title strap and should represent the promotion. At the moment, however, we have no confirmation as to what, if any, repercussions will be on Liotta & The Heartbreak Express' run in the Mid South.
  8. LSW Thunderstrike 2022 Saturday, Week 1, September 2022 Held in Corpus Christi, TX (Mid South) in front of 3,583 people 87,573 viewers on WrestleWorld With over 3,500 people in attendance here in Corpus Christi, setting a new record for Lone Star Wrestling, we kick off the show! Recently the company has adopted a new strategy to attract even more fans in attendance, selling tickets at a very cheap price. Cali Slick vs Jared Johnson Tor the third time, Jared Johnson and Cali Slick, accompanied by his agent Vinny Cruz and security guard Big Smash Clay collide in singles action. The aim of the bout is to work the crowd, and both competitors do that fabulously. In a match that has superb wrestling, after fifteen minutes Jared Johnson manages to lock his rival into his Carolina Crossface, and Cali Slick is in trouble. Vinny Cruz at ringside sighs in disappointment, nodding at his security guard, who immediately attempts to interfere, the referee turns his attentions toward him just as Jared Johnson goes toe-to-toe with the imposing security guard. Vinny Cruz meanwhile moves to the side and nonchalantly passes his golden chain to Cali Slick, Jared Johnson turns back to his rival, while the referee is still intimating Big Smash Clay to come down from the apron: CHAIN SHOT! With his golden chain wrapped around his fist, not the first time that we saw this from "The Draw," Cali Slick knocks out "Double J" Jared Johnson, scoring the W by pinfall in a tainted manner. This match gets the show off to a strong start. [67] After the match, a knocked down Jared Johnson rolls out of the squared circle, while Cali Slick celebrates in the ring after disposing of his chain. Vinny Cruz and security guard Big Smash Clay join him, and Slick's agent seems to breathe a sigh of relief, hinting a dull smile toward his client, as if not to give too much thought to a tainted victory. The weasel Vinny Cruz gives the impression that he is no longer convinced of the talent of "The Draw." [54] Ricky Dale Johnson comes out and, despite his cynical authority figure, is greeted with passion by the audience given his great popularity. The boss takes a few minutes, reminding them that next month the third edition of the King of the Rodeo Tournament will be held. In a four-day event, 32 participants will collide in a single-elimination tournament to be crowned as the King of LSW! [74] The crew immediately cuts backstage, where the cameraman reaches a spot where an argument arose between several wrestlers, more specifically where an argument arose between several babyfaces and Prime Time Jack Pryde. From what we understand, David Stone, Xavi Ferrera, Tavon Blake Jr and Miller Fforde were watching RDJ's announcement about the King of the Rodeo on a monitor, being interrupted by Jack Pryde and Venus Angeletti. As always, "Prime Time" let loose a few too many words, claiming that he will defeat anyone who stands in his way to become the new "King," and if one of the four babyfaces should happen in his path, it would make it all the more satisfying. [43] The Gonzalez Family (Carlos, Marco) vs The Wild Cats (El Jaguar, Tigre Salvaje Jr) In this Puerto Ricans vs Mexicans international tag team bout, the competitors deliver a decent match. Los luchadores showcase their technical and flashy skills, while the arrogant heels beat hard and care less about the neatness of their shots. After almost nine minutes, Marco Gonzalez run-in to help his uncle opens a series of concatenated blows, and eventually legal man Carlos Gonzalez has the last word, pinning Tigre Salvaje Jr after a Flat-Out to win the match. [50] "Platinum" James Prudence is oiling up backstage, crossing paths once again with LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Kip Keenan. "The American Eagle" wishes good luck to "Platinum" for his match, who returns the pleasantries. James Prudence then jokes with a hint of disappointment, reminding the champ how he had trapped him in his submission hold during the Gold Rush match, and how he would have surely defeated him if not for Quentin Queen, on whom he will get his hands up next. Kip Keenan is starting to look annoyed by the repeated hits from "Platinum," but he's being classy this time too, acknowledging how James Prudence delivered a great performance during the Gold Rush bout and how he's always a tough competitor. Who knows, maybe they will square up once again in singles action in the future! And the champ looks forward to it. [62] Southern Stinger (c) vs Newton vs Dreadnought in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title The Brass Knuckles championship is up for grabs in this No DQ match between the babyface champ Southern Stinger, heel former champ Davis Wayne Newton, and heel behemoth Dreadnought accompanied by Laura Catherine Huggins. DWN plays smart initially, letting the two rivals "The Stinger" and Dreadnought slaughter each other on the squared circle, then taking control of the match by using a steel chair, definitely the main weapon in this No DQ bout. In a ten-minute wild brawl, Dreadnought seems to have victory in his grasp after demolishing his opponents, but surprisingly "Triple Threat" and "The Stinger" team up against the common danger, hitting the behemoth both with multiple chair shots on the body to collapse him to the floor, then finishing him off with double chair shots on the head! DWN then tries to swing the chair at Southern Stinger who ducks it, and counterattacks! CHAIR SHOT ON THE HEAD! The crowd pop, DWN goes to sleep after this, and Southern Stinger takes the victory after his Rayne Drop: 1 ... 2 .. 3!! Southern Stinger makes defense number two of the LSW Brass Knuckles title strap. [50] Shooter Sean Deeley vs Rob Reynolds In his singles debut, Shooter Sean Deeley immediately tries to outwrestle Rob Reynolds and he does that, despite the Asian-American babyface proves to be a tough-as-nails competitor who reacts well to the starting assault of his opponent. Rob Reynolds tries to bring the match back into balance, but eventually fails after a nine-minutes decent bout. "The Shooter" wears him down and then locks him in a Seated Stretch Armbar, forcing him to tap out. There's still some ring rust for Sean Deeley. [51] Despite the disappointment at having lost, by the way for the second time in a row by tapping out, Rob Reynolds walks over and offers his hand as a sign of respect. Shooter Sean Deeley looks at him for a couple of seconds, deciding to refuse the handshake and giving him a shove on his way out of the squared circle. Boos fly from the stands toward "The Shooter," who looks like a wrestling machine not at all interested in pleasantries. [32] Up next it's time for another one-on-one. James Prudence makes his entrance to the applause of the audience, greeting the fans while on the ramp, but being cowardly attacked by Quentin Queen! In a pre-match assault, the blackheart heel damages "Platinum," especially by throwing him knee first against the steel steps. A couple of staff members stop him, and the referee seems intent on stopping everything and not starting the scheduled bout following the ambush, but in the end it’s James Prudence himself who gets back on his feet, despite some leg trouble, and convinces the ref to ring the bell! [30] James Prudence vs Quentin Queen “Platinum” pensava di poter dare una lezione alla sua preda di stasera, dopo che Quentin Queen costed him the victory in the Gold Rush match, e invece “Q-Man” ha sorpreso James Prudence with a vicious assault pre-match, and during the first minutes e dominates James Prudence, concentrandosi sempre di più sulla gamba. In a decent bout, Quentin Queen dimostra sicuramente di aver fatto un level up on his game, but it’s still not enough to beat a main event caliber wrestler like James Prudence, che nonostante il dolore alla gamba getta il cuore oltre l’ostacolo, hitting a lethal combo after eleven minutes: Superkick on Queen’s head, followed by a Surf’s Up for the 1-2-3! “Platinum” James Prudence defeats Quentin Queen by pinfall. [51] The American Cobras enter the ring for an announcement that has left them rather annoyed: their title match against The Heartbreak Express is off, and all because of some kayfabe-wise travel problems for one half of the champs, Ralph Liotta. The other champ, Johnny Needham, walks out and publicly apologizes on behalf of himself and his partner to both all the fans and The American Cobras, who despite having a good relationship with The Heartbreak Express are a bit altered about their title shot being postponed. Interrupting the three babyfaces come first The Dynamite Express and later The Empire, and both heel duos join in a verbal battle against Johnny Needham and The Cobras, keeping the fire burning in the tag team division alive. To even the score here comes "The Thunderbolt" Jason Patterson, who mostly takes it out on Brutus Milano, the one who caused the injury to Patterson's tag partner Jules Night, breaking his arm during a recent 8-Tag Battle Royal. Clearly to segment to correct at the last the card of the show, this served to build up an upcoming four-on-four match that's up next! A referee is sent out here to officiate the bout. [43] The American Cobras, Johnny Needham, Jason Patterson vs The Dynamite Express, The Empire In a decent match, both factions get to show some offense since the bout is pretty balanced. The Empire and The Dynamite Express eventually walk out with the W after thirteen minutes, when Antonio Del Veccio pins Jason Patterson after and Italian DDT. In terms of in-ring work, Marvel Malloy is head and shoulder above everyone else. Storyline-wise, some tension between Johnny Needham and The American Cobras is shown, so as to keep the hype hot for a future LSW Tag Team championships match. [60] In a backstage promo, Al Coleman reflects on the importance of tonight's main event in which he says he will be crowned LSW Texas Heavyweight champ. The heel submission master shoots down Kip Keenan, promising to break the wings of "The American Eagle" and force him to submit. Tonight is the night for Al Coleman, and he won't miss. “Mr. Submission” will leave Corpus Christi with some gold around his waist! [48] Cobra vs Texas Hangman in a Dog Collar match In an intense staredown, Cobra and Texas Hangman look each other in the eyes while the referee ties their necks to the steel chain that will hold them together for the duration of this Dog Collar match, one of the most feared stipulations in this business. In a decent match, obviously revolving around the storytelling of being chained together, both competitors must endure a lot of pain, and the match is pretty tough visually too as both Cobra and "The Hangman" bleed from their faces from the blows they receive. Cobra and Travis Century are a good pairing as they play off each other well, "The Preacher" helps Cobra a couple of times and rails a lot against Texas Hangman, his old adept. After eleven minutes, "The Hangman" literally hangs Cobra on the apron, and "The Snake Man" begins to pass out. Texas Hangman then brings his opponent back into the ring, hitting his Choke Slam to win the Dog Collar match. [50] The match is over, Texas Hangman is pretty exhausted but finds the strength to get to his knees, however, being blindsided by Travis Century! "The Preacher" gets involved in physical altercation for the first time in almost three years, surprising his former rebel adept by choking him using the chain wrapped around his neck, screaming about how The Strong Hand of the Lord is punishing him for his sins. "The Hangman" gets choked for a few seconds before he manages to turn around and get back on his feet, finding himself face-to-face with his former leader. Travis Century starts to realize how much of a bad idea this assault was, panicking and asking the big heavyweight babyface to calm down. Texas Hangman, however, does not let the opportunity pass him by, pulling the chain and "The Preacher" to him, grabbing him at the neck and demolishing him once and for all with a Choke Slam! Finally Cobra has been defeated, Travis Century has been silenced, and the big Texan is now free of this seth nonsense. [47] Kip Keenan (c) vs Al Coleman for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title The main event turns out to be an absolute masterclass, Kip Keenan and Al Coleman has great chemistry and it shows in their performances. In a bout that has superb wrestling and good heat, Al Coleman wrestles probably his best match here in the Mid South, proving he can comfortably stand in the federation's main event scene and bringing the champ within a step of submission with his Ankle Brace. However, a great resistance to pain and a rope break save "The American Eagle," that after fourteen minutes manages to surprise "Mr. Submission" by loading him on his shoulders, hitting his fabulous One-Winged Eagle: 1 ... 2 .. 3!! Kip Keenan makes defense number five of the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship. By far the best match in Lone Star Wrestling history, this main event gives a lot of momentum to the promotion in the lead-up to the King of the Rodeo tournament. [75] OVERALL RATING: 68 Predictions Standings: KyTeran [49 Pts] Charasmatic Enigma [48 Pts] newbiezness [44 Pts] DinoKea [43 Pts] kanegan [28 Pts] alliegolem [14 Pts] “2021 Champ” azzak [11 pts]

  12. Preview for LSW Thunderstrike 2022 Southern Stinger (c) vs Newton vs Dreadnought in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title In the aftermath of LSW Gold Rush 2022, where Southern Stinger was able to defeat Dreadnought after multiple chair shots and a botched interference by Davis Wayne Newton, who was punished by a Dread Bomb by the behemoth, the LSW Brass Knuckles championship will be out for grabs in a three way bout fought under brass knuckles rules. No disqualification, anything goes, but despite the underdog situation from which he is starting, Southern Stinger was thrilled at the idea of having a wild brawl against both Dreadnought and Davis Wayne Newton, showing once again is nutty madman persona. Will he defend his championship? Or maybe Davis Wayne Newton will reclaim the title belt he lost a couple of months ago? Or will finally Dreadnought's brutal strenght give him the victory? Shooter Sean Deeley vs Rob Reynolds Despite not winning the Gold Rush match, Shooter Sean Deeley shined in his debut here in Mid South, showing everyone why he is rightly considered one of the most lethal athlete in this business. In his first singles bout in LSW, "The Shooter" will go one-on-one against babyface Rob Reynolds, a tough-as-nails competitor who is sure to give him a lot of trouble. Who you got? The Gonzalez Family (Carlos, Marco) vs The Wild Cats (El Jaguar, Tigre Salvaje Jr) After participating in the battle royal to decree the next No. One Contenders at the tag belts, but coming out defeated, The Gonzalez Family and The Wild Cats still have a chance to bounce back and showcase themselves in the tag team division. A win in this unprecedented Puerto Ricans vs Mexicans international two-on-two would take a step up in the rankings and who knows, a title shot could be coming soon. Cali Slick vs Jared Johnson Cali Slick and Jared Johnson will cross paths for the third time here in Lone Star Wrestling, although their rivalry has pitted them against each other many more times since the beginning of 2022. "Double J" has definitely had the upper hand so far, eliminating "The Draw" from the Texan Rumble in January and defeating him by submission in March, while Cali Slick came close during the Beat-the-Clock challenge in May, still failing to beat his rival. The Californian heel is forced to a solid victory since he has been in LSW for almost three years, and despite so many proclamations he never really shined. His weasely agent Vinny Cruz would seem to have begun considering dumping him as a client, but with a good win over Jared Johnson things could change! Will Cali Slick be able to establish himself over "Double J"? Or will Jared Johnson take home another W to put their rivalry behind him? James Prudence vs Quentin Queen "Platinum" James Prudence has been chasing the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship in recent months, coming out defeated not without some recriminations due to refereeing errors. During the Gold Rush match, though, "Platinum" had the match basically won as the champ Kip Keenan was fading after being locked in James' Prudential Pain Plan. Only Quentin Queen's interruption stopped James Prudence from being the new Texas Heavyweight champ, and surely "Platinum" will want to relieve some of the built-up tension on "Q-Man." A blackheart weasel, Quentin Queen has been a pain in the a** since his heel turn, and he's out here trying to quickly climb the ranks in Lone Star Wrestling. James Prudence is a veteran competitor, but he'll have to be careful, Quentin Queen is unscrupulous and determined to collect some important victories over main eventers. Heartbreak Express (Needham, Liotta) (c) vs American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane) for the LSW Tag Team titles After winning an 8-Tag No. One Contenders' Battle Royal, former tag champs Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane will compete for the LSW Tag Team championships against Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta, called to their first titular defense. The two babyface duos already fight once in Lone Star Wrestling back in January 2021, when The American Cobras defeated The Heartbreak Express. Will the outcome be different this time? Will the champions be able to defend their title belts? Or will the challengers walk out as two-time LSW tag team champions? Cobra vs Texas Hangman in a Dog Collar match It's Judgement Day in the eyes of the Lord for Texas Hangman. The big heavyweight rebelled against the yoke of Travis Century, breaking the spiritual chain that bound him to “The Preacher”. But there are also real chains that still involve "The Hangman", Travis Century, and his adept Cobra. "The Preacher" made a prediction, as Texas Hangman will be strangled by The Strong Hand's chain and be punished as one would a rebel dog. This prophecy may come true, as LSW ownership has made it official to Dog Collar match for LSW Thunderstrike! One of the most feared stipulations in this business, this is a strap match where instead of a leather strap at a wrist, the competing wrestlers are bound together by the neck via dog collars and chains. Nobody really wants to be in a Dog Collar match, as sometimes it takes years of your life, definitely it takes years of your career. But both Texas Hangman and Cobra, or Travis Century probably, have firmly accepted this match, such is the desire to hurt their rival. It's the Judgement Day! Through chains and blood! Who will win this fight? Kip Keenan (c) vs Al Coleman for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title Kip Keenan entered the Gold Rush and walked out still the Texas Heavyweight champion, proving once again his incredible talent. But there is no room for celebration, because in Lone Star Wrestling there is always some fierce competitor ready to test himself against the champ for the main title strap. After managing to submitting his rival Rob Reynolds clean in one-on-one action and putting that chapter behind him, "Mr. Submission" received a title shot personally from Ricky Dale Johnson, who considers him a very viable No. One Contender at the Texas Heavyweight title. It will certainly be a main event not to be missed, and many wonder if Kip Keenan will be able to escape even Al Coleman's deadly Ankle Brace. 13. Total Wrestling News: Flash Savage Released By LSW In recent news, Flash Savage should no longer appear in Lone Star Wrestling, as the promotion notified "The Tiny Terror" of the termination of their handshake deal. The Canadian high-flyer came in alongside Ozzie Goldstein as The Canadian Blondes, but after his partner left for the major leagues, Flash Savage was left with virtually no direction. With no plans on pushing him as a solo act, LSW decided to cut him from their roster.
  14. @Jaysin imo Board of Directors is good! As an alternative, how about you mix it up WCW name and the international influence to call it World Championship Committee?
  15. Next week we need some bangers! 83 rating should probably be the target What was Atom Smasher's rating? I guess he was the one with the higest rating in the opener, right?
  16. @DinoKea congrats on picking Shooter Sean Deeley as first, great guess! Maybe you should have wait a little bit more since someone surely wanted to copy your call lol all legit Thx also to @Charasmatic Enigma, @kanegan, @KyTeran and @newbiezness for commenting, and sorry for that 55 rating lol it's not bad for us, but I would like to raise it a bit more! We now have a pretty stacked card for LSW Thunderstrike and up next is the King of the Rode tournament, we need to hit 60+ soon!
  17. Total Wrestling News: Cobra Signed With TCW TWN has learned that last night TCW reached an angreement to bring Cobra onto their roster. Reports indicate that he has been hired on an exclusive written contract. The middleweight will then conclude his more than two-and-a-half year stint in Lone Star Wrestling, and is expected to make his final appearance at LSW Thundestrike 2022 in a couple of weeks.
  18. LSW Gold Rush 2022 Tuesday, Week 2, August 2022 Held in Denver, CO (Mid South) in front of 3,236 people 78,010 viewers on WrestleWorld The new LSW Brass Knuckles champ opens up the show, arriving in the ring with a mysterious black bag in his hands, celebrating with his nutty and eclectic ways his first title win in Lone Star Wrestling. To celebrate this accolade, "The Stinger" has one idea in mind, defend the title strap right here in Denver, Colorado! The facepainted vigilante doesn't care if it's Davis Wayne Newton wanting his rematch, if it's "Game Changer" Xavi Ferrera, if it's Dreadnought, or anyone else backstage. Later Southern Stinger will return to this ring, ready to rumble, and he will take on everybody to defend his custom-made Brass Knuckles championship which he pulls out of his bag and shows to everybody! [27] David Stone vs Flash Savage In an All-Canadian bout, the high-flying Flash Savage gets off to a rocket start and puts babyface David Stone in trouble, as "The Tiny Terror" delivers some tough shots and daredevil techniques. Eventually though, David Stone's crystalline talent emerges and, after a decent bout lasting eight minutes, the next gen star hits his Stone Cutter to seal the deal: 1 ... 2 .. 3!! This match gets the crowd hotter. [48] We're heading backstage, where "The Draw" Cali Slick is already dressed up and ready for the main event, entering his 3rd Gold Rush match in three years of LSW. The Californian heel talks to his agent Vinny Cruz, while the security guard Big Smash Clay just stands behind Cruz's back with his hands crossed and serious face as always. Cali Slick tries to convince both himself and his agent of how tonight is his night, and how he will become the LSW Texas Heavyweight champ. Vinny Cruz always seems a bit distracted, however, checking on his phone a couple of times before pondering who might be the sixth unknown competitor in the Gold Rush bout. Both Cali Slick and Vinny Cruz do a masterful job of improvising. [47] 8-Tag No. One Contenders Battle Royal In a decent wild brawl, sixteen competitors start the match, representing eight tag teams: The American Cobras, The Gonzalez Family, The Dynamite Express, The Wild Cats, The Oklahomans, The Empire, The Big Guns Reloaded, and The Hot Taggs. The first to go were both Taggs, who after starting out very aggressively are eliminated within moments, as The American Cobras on one side and The Wild Cats on the other side of the ring throw out Kalder and Wolfie respectively. Unfortunately, a bad landing from Jules Night causes him an injury as he breaks his arm, being eliminated immediately by The Big Guns Reloaded without aggravating the injury. Tigre Salvaje Jr showcases his flashiness, but eventually gets punished by Brutus Milano and Antonio Del Veccio. The next eliminated are Marco Gonzalez, Bandit Waylon Walls, Jason Patterson, Antonio Del Veccio and El Jaguar. Storm Spillane combines his action with Marvel Malloy to eliminate Carlos Gonzalez also, but is immediately eliminated by Cam Jones and Syd Collier of The Dynamite Express, who remain the only intact pair in the battle royal. Brutus Milano temporarily allies with Outlaw Wes Revell to skillfully counter The Dynamite Express, but at the first useful moment "The Outlaw" tries and almost succeeds in eliminating Brutus Milano, breaking the alliance of convenience. The Dynamite Express come back to eliminate Wes Revell, but after about ten seconds Marvel Malloy pulls the rabbit out of the hat, surprisingly eliminating Cam Jones! We're down to three competitors; Brutus Milano, Marvel Malloy and Syd Collier. A nice three-way tussle goes on for another minute, but in the end "The American Cobra" manages to triumph as the sole survivor, eliminating Brutus Milano and Syd Collier to the applause of the audience. [49] After the match, Storm Spillane gets back inside the ring to hug Marvel Malloy, whose fantastic run delivered The American Cobras a title shot. And speaking about the championships, Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta come out with their golds around their waists in an all-babyface staredown. The Heartbreak Express go over and offer a handshake to The American Cobras, who respectfully reciprocate. Next month, LSW Thunderstrike 2022; it's The Heartbreak Express against The American Cobras for the LSW Tag Team titles. [45] In the backstage angle, Prime Time Jack Pryde acts just like a real a**hole backstage, teasing and bullying a poor catering lady, before mocking her alongside his valet Venus Angeletti. Nothing that relevant, just a way to show "Prime Time" in front of the camera and highlight once again how his attitude has not changed, and how he is still a blowhard. The announcing team wonders what the future holds for Jack Pryde, and play-by-play commentator Alfonso Garcia hints that his hope is that someone will humble the cocky young gun for good. [30] Cobra vs Texas Hangman After clashing in a three-on-three match, Cobra and Texas Hangman, former LSW tag team champs, go one-versus-one, while "The Preacher" Travis Century attends the match at ringside, inciting his adept Cobra and cursing the wayward sinner Texas Hangman. In a decent match, Texas Hangman goes for the Choke Slam after ten minutes, but Cobra sticks two fingers in his eyes, before being handed the steel chain by Travis Century to choke the big heavyweight babyface. Obviosly, ref has no other chance but to call the disqualification. [50] Cobra's fury doesn’t stop even after repeated bell rings and warnings from the referee. Texas Hangman continues to get choked from behind, while Travis Century goes face-to-face with him and labels him with the worst epithets. "The Hangman," however, has a surge of pride! With his left strong hand he manages to create separation between his neck and the steel chain, being able to breathe again and getting back on his feet before grabbing "The Preacher" around the neck with his right hand. Travis Century screams in terror, being saved by Cobra, who loosens his grip on the neck to hit "The Hangman" in the back. "The Preacher" bails out, while Texas Hangman manages to turn around and snatch the steel chain from Cobra's hands, who in turn escapes out of the ring. "The Hangman" then grabs a microphone and calls out the fact of how he is now unchained, free from the yoke of "The Preacher." Travis Century responds with wrath and theatrics, saying that The Strong Hand of the Lord will strangle Hangman's neck with his chain, punishing him just as one would a REBEL DOG! [42] We're heading backstage where "Double J" Jared Johnson crosses the path of LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Kip Keenan, and the two babyfaces wish each other good luck for tonight's Gold Rush match. James Prudence also crosses their path, playing a bit on the tensions he has with Kip Keenan after their last match, and teasing Jared Johnson amicably as well. Quentin Queen also joins the conversation, as the blackheart weasel, who tonight will take part in the most important match of his career so far, tries to sow discord between the babyfaces, especially between Kip Keenan and James Prudence, succeeding quite well and performing well by going off-script. A nice angle to hype the main event. [55] Al Coleman vs Rob Reynolds in a Submission match In a decent match, two rivals collide once again, but this time it really seems to be the showdown between the two. "Mr. Submission" Al Coleman has one last chance to live up to his nickname and submit Rob Reynolds, while "The Motor City Menace" has lately been claiming that he would have a better chance of making Al Coleman tap out than "Mr. Submission" would have of actually submitting him. A very psychological bout, quite slow, with attacks aimed at the body parts later targeted for a submission hold. Rob Reynolds is undoubtedly out of his comfort zone but performs well, applying several dangerous submission moves. Eventually though, after sixteen minutes of action, Al Coleman is able to lock Rob Reynolds in his Ankle Brace! "The Motor City Menace" resists for several seconds, trying everything to break free, but in the end the babyface has no choice but to tapping out. "Mr. Submission" wins the match and lives up to his nickname. [56] Davis Wayne Newton walks backstage on his way to the ring to clash again with Southern Stinger and regain "his" Brass Knuckles title. In front of him, however, stands Dreadnought, who menacingly blocks his path. The behemoth's agent Laura Catherine Huggins also appears alongside her client and addresses DWN, asking him what his intentions are. Once her concerns are confirmed, the agent hints that it would be very kind of Davis Wayne Newton to step aside tonight and let Dreadnought have the opportunity to confront his rival Southern Stinger in a No DQ match, once and for all. The former champ tries to refuse, but Laura Catherine Huggins makes it clear to him how this kindness is practically mandatory, unless DWN wants to get beaten up right here, right now by Dreadnought. DWN, reluctantly, is forced to give up the title shot to Dreadnought. The behemoth also makes it clear that his interference in the upcoming match would also be unwelcome, since it is a matter between Dreadnought and "The Stinger. [58] Southern Stinger (c) vs Dreadnought in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title In a bout that has decent reaction from the crowd, Southern Stinger goes straight at Dreadnought, mainly taking advantage of the help of a steel chair to counter his rival's physical overpower. After almost eight minutes, "The Stinger" manages to build a comeback after a bit of suffering, however, being assaulted from behind by Davis Wayne Newton! The former champ appears out of nowhere and blindsides him and, despite the disapproval, the referee has his hands tied as this is a No DQ match where anything goes. DWN takes the steel chair, waits for the champ to get back on his feet and goes for the swing! "The Stinger" ducks it though, and Davis Wayne Newton almost hits Dreadnought on the head with the chair! The arrogant blondie stops in time, but Dreadnought does not appreciate the interference by DWN and keeps his word, punishing him by grabbing him hard and connecting a Dread Bomb on him. The facepainted madman, aka Southern Stinger, however, has regained control of the steel chair and swings it against his opponent: CHAIR MULTIPLE SHOTS ON THE LEGS! Dreadnought collapses to his knees: MULTIPLE CHAIR SHOTS ON THE BACK! The behemoth takes the blow, screams fearfully at "The Stinger" that swings the chair one last time: CHAIR SHOT ON THE SKULL! OUCH! And the champ goes for the pin: 1 ... 2 .. 3! Southern Stinger makes defense number one of the LSW Brass Knuckles title in this no disqualification bout, leaving the ring after the bell with is nutty smile. [43] Kip Keenan is the first to make his entrance, supported by the over three thousand fans in attendance tonight. Cali Slick, Jared Johnson, Quentin Queen and James Prudence also join the ring, as we're now waiting for the sixth unknown participant. Ricky Dale Johnson walks out on stage specifically to introduce him, certainly giving him a nice relevance: a massively successful amateur wrestler who twice won the American national championship at college level, a former world champ, and one of the most lethal legitimate athlete in this business. Please welcome, SHOOTER SEAN DEELEY! [56] 6-Man Gold Rush match for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title Certainly not at the level of last year, but this six way match turns out to be pretty entertaining, with good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd. With the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship up for grabs for the first competitor able to successfully pin or submit one of his opponent, each near falls and pin break charges this tense bout. Sean Deeley is a bit rusty, but that will soon go away once he's got a few more matches under his belt. “The Shooter” gets a straight push from the beginning, outwrestling anyone in the first minutes of the match and shhowing how much of a wrestling machine he is. In terms of in-ring work, Kip Keenan is head and shoulder above everyone else. After over twenty minutes all six participants are tired and hurt, the spotlights are all for Kip Keenan and James Prudence inside the ring, fighting for dominance. James Prudence locks Kip Keenan in his Prudential Pain Plan! The submission lock is perfect and "The American Eagle" starts to fade, and his loss seems inevitable at this point, James Prudence is seconds from finally becoming the cham... NO! Out of nowhere here it comes Quentin Queen, assaulting James Prudence and shattering his glory dreams about winning the title strap tonight. The blackheart weasel interrupts the hold and then manages to connect his signature Q-Ball on "Platinum" who rolls outside of the ring, exhausted. Shooter Sean Deeley gets back in the ring and sends first Quentin Queen, then Jared Johnson, then Cali Slick to suplex city with his multiple picture-perfect Suplexes. "The Shooter" seems on fire, but eventually he is held near the ropes by Jared Johnson, and a vicious Spear between the ropes by Cali Slick sends himself, Jared Johnson and Sean Deeley outside of the ring, all down and out. Quentin Queen struggles back to his feet, still stunned, and behind him here comes Kip Keenan back in pomp, lifting him up on his shoulders: ONE-WINGED EAGLE! 1 .. 2 .. 3! Kip Keenan wins the Gold Rush match in twenty-five minutes and makes defense number four of the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship. [58] OVERALL RATING: 55 Predictions Standings: KyTeran [44 Pts] Charasmatic Enigma [43 Pts] newbiezness [39 Pts] DinoKea [38 Pts] kanegan [28 Pts] alliegolem [14 Pts] “2021 Champ” azzak [11 pts]
  19. As expected Matt. Back over 800k right? After a slow decline, this week they finally had a decent bump not because people were interested about the show, but thanks to promoting a backstage scuffle video between one of their former employees, who's a major draw in another promotion, and one of their current employees, who passed as weak. A cheap one-week bump it's all they got, and we're not talking about incredible numbers anyway. People tuned in to see the drama, and without drama next week they won't show up again, 'cause the product is just bad unfortunately. TV ratings are stagnant, there is no growth despite throwing millions and millions of dollars on free agents in the last 2/3 months. They signed the "best wrestler in the world" and after a couple of weeks they booked him to a 20 MINUTES (!!!) match to be able to defeat an unknown midcarder like Kyle Fletcher. They signed NJPW icon Kazuchika Okada, immediately paired him with The Young Bucks who are in an endless downward spiral, and made him win a tertiary useless championship. They need to change things asap, they're dying and lots of fans just begun to realize it.
