  1. Been a while since I've played a non-watcher sim, or hung out here on the forums so I'm sure this question has been asked a million times...but using the search feature to find the answer has proven to be a challenge... One of the biggest drawbacks I've had with TEW is with long term games and people's popularity ultimately being capped, which effectively hamstrings my promotion's progress. Am I overlooking something? I try to go for workrate first, but after a little while things start to flatten out and I stop gaining popularity as do my workers, and as such the promotion starts stockpiling cash but never growing. Do I just need to start bringing in more over guys and burying them? I'd really prefer it to be more organic... Idk...is this a problem for anyone else?
  2. Hoping this has been asked a lot and is an easy question... Why aren't any retired workers opening dojos/training centers? I have Picture Requirement set to "Off"...and I had a promotion open up one, but I'm so used to the old world where new ones would open frequently after people retired. Thoughts? It's a converted 2016-2020 database, so is it possible there's a new characteristic that didn't exist prior to 2020 I'm not considering?
  3. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of "retired, left the business" workers who are not in a hall of fame or anything? I feel like my database is getting massive (I'm roughly 15 years into a sim) and it's taking a lot longer to process the day to day.
  4. Stupid question...if the crowd seems to hate a guy on my roster, what can I do to change that?

Give him a new one and it’ll be fine.<p> </p><p> The “name” of gimmicks doesn’t mean anything in 2020 other than a tag. It’s the category that counts. Just give him a new gimmick with an appropriate category and call it “referee” or something like that.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Sounds like a plan! Appreciate the quick response!</p>
  6. I have a ref who is irritated at his "Staff Member" gimmick... normal or bug? ...if normal, what's wrong with my ref that I can maybe edit away?
  7. <p>....so...I'm in September now and I haven't seen any training centers graduate new workers....</p><p> </p><p> is it my mod? Is this normal?</p><p> </p><p> ...should I give it another 3-4 months?</p>
  8. <p>Less a question than a comment...</p><p> </p><p> I'm using a real world mod, and I'm working as an insignificant indy...</p><p> </p><p> I cannot wait for the game world to settle down. WWE is hiring away my roster as fast as I can re-fill it. Very annoying.</p>
  9. ...at minimum the handbook part...that has literally not changed and is consistent with basically all software since the dawn of time
  10. Stupid question. How do I assign a manager clients/vice versa.
  11. Quick question...but I wanted to put it in a separate topic in case this needs to be moved to Technical Support or Suggestions... Is there any way to access the notepad WHILE you're running a show? I can't seem to find one. The inability to take notes during the show almost makes me want to switch to an external notepad. Hopefully it's an oversight on my part or accidental omission on Adam's...
  12. I think the key to stuff like that is to be aware that there is a penalty in place but it isn't going to wreck your show, or even the match...just hurt it slightly
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TeemuFoundation" data-cite="TeemuFoundation" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="49441" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Subjective. I had not watched wrestling in years, but checked out the PPV where Goldberg returned because, you know, old school fan. He squashed Lesnar in a matter of seconds. It was the best match on the card. Context: it was unexpected, so it got a positive reaction out of me. More than I can for wrestling matches in general these days.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Fair point! ...but how does a simulator account for that? <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  14. <p>Modern Throwback penalty states "Matches less than 20 minutes will not be able to achieve world class scores"</p><p> </p><p> ...if I had to guess, if it's for a throwaway or a squash match it's not going to hurt anyone too much. </p><p> </p><p> But it makes sense. Whoever heard of a 5 star squash match? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  15. Can I just say that I appreciate the hell out of the changes made to the financial system between 2016 and 2020. So much more realistic! (your mod may vary, C-Verse is on point)
  16. ...also...damn...wish I had figured this out BEFORE choosing Hawaii as my base of operations
  17. Ah, there it is... That'll teach me to not read the handbook!
  18. Correct, but this isn't "per worker"...this is for the entire roster.
  19. I haven't been able to either, but I'm definitely starting to think any new hires won't have their travel covered
  20. It does, actually MAW is one of those companies I always loved to play with because it so closely resembled a lot of real world independent promotions that I've followed over the years.
  21. I just simmed through my first 3 month CVerse game and noticed TCW graduates going to MAW...and then noticed they were now a developmental for TCW...and I don't how how to feel anymore...
  22. So as a disclaimer, I usually start unemployed and run as an "insignificant" new company, so I'm more concerned with cheap quality than bringing in "stars" My usual go-to is "Hidden Gems" in the Creative Meeting area. I also go to a couple of the promotions that I want to mimic and hire guys at the bottom of their card, as well as some of their secondary title holders. Lastly, I scout the local independent shows and hire guys that look promising.
  23. Am I crazy? Wasn't there a way in previous versions (maybe not 2016, but earlier) where you could ask a worker to suggest talent to hire?
