Certainly he doesn't have any obligation to facilitate modding, that would be a stupid argument. He's not obliged to release the game at all. But let's not pretend he put the editor in out of the goodness of his heart - there's clearly an incentive for him to facilitate modding. If there were no real-world mods for the game, it would sell less, as evidenced by the fact that one of the first questions anyone has about TEW is "can I use real people". Modders are a key part of the ecosystem that helps market and sell TEW. 9 out of 10 posts to the Fantasy Bookers subreddit (8000 subscribers) or the plentiful YouTube videos of the game (many with over 10k viewers) use real world mods. As I said before, legal issues permiting, it wouldn't be a bad idea to give any top-of-the-line modmakers some early editor access and sort of stipend to ensure mods are promptly released for any future editions of the series.

I think that the OP is a little entitled, but of all the things that he said to pick on, this is a bizarre choice. The UI got a shellacking on release. Suggesting Adam pay another designer would be also thinking 'Adam should pay people to change his product to suit you'. Is that really 'wow'-worthy? Literally any suggestion that involves someone with a skillset Adam doesn't have, or manpower for sale, would be the same. I imagine it'd be impossible for legal issues, but paying people with experience of doing something that they've proven to be popular at is literally the opposite of a 'wow, unique perspective' - it's a sensible one.

There was some wires crossed here on the main cause of contention, just an innocent miscommunication. 'Only foreign workers offered touring contracts' can mean two very different things. Undertaker666 took alvarasus as suggesting that Japanese companies should exclusively sign foreign workers, on touring contracts. As in, only sign foreigners. I believe what alvarasus meant was that foreign workers should only be offered touring contracts, rather than exclusive contracts. Peace and love, y'all.

It depends what you mean by 'NWA'. I've seen a lot of people use the term more recenrly to specifically refer to JCP/WCW once they monopolised the World title, in which case I'd say 'Classic Southern Rasslin'' might fit the bill. If you mean the wider alliance (or what was left of it by the 90s), that'd vary depending on the territory. CWF is not ECW is not WCCW etc. Golden Age and Silver Age, to me at least, feel much more pre-80s to me. Maybe 80s St Louis would fit in there though as the most 'traditional' territory.

Remember that unless you're playing pre-1980, Larry has already had a major run in the WWF under his real name. To go from "retiring" Bruno to a gimmick name would be a fall from grace, probably an even steeper fall than what happened to Tito, or at the very least would be basically telling the fans "hey, forget everything you remember".

Sorry, not entirely on-topic, but these quotes drew me in so I had to take the leap. Kerry was far from clean before the accident. The brain damage from toxic shock just broke his filter and brought out a more devil may care side of him, eg. bragging to WCCW cameramen between-takes about gangbanging rats with an underage Chris. Between 85 and 92, there were 31 SNMEs and 5 editions of 'Main Event', including that 33m viewers beast. An 80s WWF with weekly TV on NBC would've been titanic, but they could never have sustained that many big matches. You can think of late 80s WWF as CMLL, but with squash matches instead of trios, sprinkling in 1 vs 1s here and there as big deals.

Here's a few possible UK user character suggestions who I've heard are into wrestling: Jack Whitehall (comedian, friends with Tony Khan, was decently famous in 2013, was the guy who introduced Bret Hart at Double Or Nothing) Rob Beckett (comedian, less famous than Whitehall, but has mentioned wrestling quite a lot in interviews etc.) Maverick Sabre (Rapper/Singer who was near the top of the charts in the early 2010s, had a few songs that mentioned watching late-90s WWF) Phil Wang (yet another comedian, wasn't nationally famous at all in 2013 but has mentioned wrestling in his act multiple times and even did a comedy lecture about wrestling recently) Jonathan Ross (talk show host, a household name in the UK from the 90s to today, did a guest appearance for Lucha Brittania and has mentioned loving wrestling in interviews, also a massive Japanophile so probably loves puro) Of the five, Ross and Whitehall by far are the best known today. In 2013, Ross would still be top, but Whitehall and Sabre would probably be tied.

I love the unloved, so here's some lucha notes for AAA: Product I'd recommend adding 'strictly enforced' for the face/heel divide; exceptions certainly happen but 9 times out of 10 it's 3 tecnicos vs 3 rudos. I get your choice of 'Attitude Entertainment', it certainly fits the rougher edge AAA has over CMLL better than 'Lucha Entertainment' would. However, it does mean you miss out on the impact of luchas de apuestas, so maybe it's a sacrifice worth making. Schedule (Let's ignore Lucha Fighter for now.) So, before the world ended, in 2020 AAA haven't really run weekly TV in the way the game is set up. They've done 'big' (ie. broadcast) shows roughly every fortnight (Nacemos Para Luchar Gira 2020), lasting around 2 hours each, with what are basically house shows dotted in-between. These are live on Twitch, and uploaded on about a month's delay on YouTube. However, since fortnightly shows aren't available as an option in TEW 2020, you'll want to avoid having to make 24 annual events. So I suggest you put 'Nacemos Para Luchar Gira 2020' as a 1 hour TV show on Twitch/YouTube Mexico, but set to tape 2 episodes at a time. Roster Additions/Removals You can remove Juventud and Mr Aguila, neither have really wrestled with AAA since 2018 (Aguila's made 2 appearances since then, but they're just annual one-shot deals). There's a few missing big-name regulars: Rush (rudo), Blue Demon Jr (rudo), Mascarita Sagrada (tecnico), Lady Shani (tecnico), LA Park Jr (rudo, and to be clear, this is a different guy to El Hijo de L.A. Park), and La Parka Negra (rudo, also a different guy) to name a few. Oh, and Dr Wagner Jr's back now. There's also a lot of missing minis, like Drago Kid, Laredo Boy, Parkita Negra (yes, another Parka), but they're less regularly featured. Oh, and Hugo Savinovich does commentary. He says PELIGRO! and BRUTAL! a lot. Alignments Monster Clown and Murder Clown recently turned face. Pentagon Jr is a face. Super Fly is a heel. Taya worked as a face recently. L.A. PARK is a heel. Argenis is a heel. Attributes & Relationships I'd definitely remove the '100% Babyface' attribute from Tirantes, he's a typical lucha rudo ref. Remove 'Can't Play Comedy' and 'Poor Comedy Matches' from Mr Iguana, he's big-time comedy guy (though your mileage may vary on how funny he is). La Bestia Del Ring is Rush's dad. I think you've accidentally assigned a relationship to the wrong Tito Santana in the form of a strong friendship with Tully Blanchard. Stables Los Ingobernables (or Facción Ingobernable if you prefer) is Rush, L.A. Park, and La Bestia Del Ring. And Konnan apparently, but he's very much in the background. Just wanted to give this a timely bump to say thank you. This is virtually the only mod I play with any regularity, and it still blows me away. The high supply of dedicated tag teams is an especially big plus, and to this day I still stumble across new workers I've not seen before. As you can imagine, living in China means I haven't seen much daylight lately (although I'm a bit of a hermit anyway), but FTD still has me whiling away the hours. Thanks guys, and I hope more people can see and enjoy this hidden gem.

I'd imagine screenshots wouldn't even be possible right now, or at least not very representative. 'Full' design (the shiny stuff) is usually one of the last things to happen. Right now, I'd imagine the game looks like a lot of grey empty boxes on a grey empty background.

So often in this forum people want to share their big feuds or events, usually focusing on their PPV card or season finale. They show the big special shows, and the build-up is rarely mentioned in detail. The idea behind this thread is the exact opposite: What happened on a recent 'standard' TV show/event of yours? I, honestly, suck at booking TV. Whether i'm building to 4 PPVs a year or 12, it never quite 'feels right' compared to the real thing. I go overboard with squash matches (trying to copy late 80s/early 90s WCW), or I feel like I'm wasting PPV-potential matches until I have no fresh matches left (a la Nitro), or I go overboard with tag combinations of my PPV card (a la New Japan), or the PPV card is just a repeat of matches from TV (modern-day WWE).
