1.
That sort of thing makes a lot of sense, especially for heavyweights but it could be argued that more weight classes on a card diversifies things and in the end hooks a bigger audience card by card. It's definitely a shame about Cain though, he's such a talent but there always seems to be something with him.

As for McGregor I look at him and think here's a guy who's killing it commercially so obviously UFC are protecting him but in my mind he's a guy that just wanted to make history and didn't give a damn about what that meant for him in the future. It's a shame too because MMA remembers the box office stars and the dominant champions. If he had focused on one weight class and became champion and defended it properly he could've been remembered as a true great. Granted, he still will be but I think the problem with him is he just loaded so much onto his plate and got too big. There's no way he can be a true dual division champion and a proper box office fighter. It's not possible. Now it's difficult to know who pulls the strings because UFC have given him so much power but I think personally he may want to fight guys the doubters think would ground and dominate him but he's clearly too valuable to take such fights. His legitimacy may well be tainted by his star power forever, both by his power to 'pick' fights and UFC's obvious desire to protect the cash cow. Shame. I choose not to look too much at his fights but at his conduct outside the octagon. He's ushered in a new era of legitimate fighting that informs everyone, not just those who try to emulate him. People can now make a name from choosing to be against the grain, not buying into this disrespectful behaviour but being more about the art of fighting itself. Additionally, a prime example of the other side is the prominence of the Diaz brothers these days, now I know they had their fans and both were successful fighters and popular with fans who liked their unique brand of trashtalking and charisma but I don't think you can tell me that Nick gets that payday without Connor forging the path. He's more or less Ric Flair in an amateur wrestling setting, not many can hang with him on the mic and the guys that have been great or even possibly better in the past (Sonnen) are way shadier in way worse ways than Connor is.

I think the guy's legacy is gonna manifest itself in so many more ways than just fighting but for now people pay to watch him so he can do whatever he wants.

 2. I didnt get to watch, sort of caught up with the youtube clips and website reading so my opinion isn't the most informed but this seems like a pretty good perspective to me. Obviously the WWE seem to be all about the 3 hour show now but it is a lot of time to fill. Absolutely loved seeing Heyman shout himself red though. He's amazing.
 3. Yeah, I've got to agree. WWE told the story of a guy who was up against it for weeks and weeks on end before finally overcoming the odds to basically singlehandedly overcome the authority at Survivor Series. Whether that story was told well enough in practice is up for debate but Ziggler was put in matches constantly for basically a month and copped a beating for what seemed like weeks on end. Harper was the Authority's boy (and an awesome wrestler) and so reaped the reward, which in this case was the IC belt. It gave Ziggler sympathy with the fans when it happened. it gave Harper the championship and heat, it made his win mean a little bit more and it gives you an IC title ladder match at TLC. I think it was a pretty good booking decision personally. The Charlotte - Natalya match though? Super dumb.
 4. Excellent show for sure, NXT is on fire. I thought every match was good for what it was designed to be and I think Corbin looks really interesting. I haven't really seen much of KENTA but everyone knows he's awesome in the ring. However it was great to see he can get on the mic even for a short time and he's got bundles of charisma too, he'll do fine I think. To me it looks like they'll get some miles out of Zayn and Neville tension before a Neville turn simply because Zayn is so easy to cheer, his frenzy at the end really made me want him to win and that kind of investment in the story these days is rare. Saying that though, Bayley and Charlotte made me do the same thing. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about NXT right now because probably the only person I don't like seeing is Mojo and he seems to get beaten more often than not. Really making me consider getting the network so I can watch every week. Got a lot to think about haha
 5.
I saw Wolfman. It was indeed pretty boring but damn Hopkins still has that sly humour thing going for him. There's a few parts where he left me in stitches and I'm sure he wasn't meant to but meh. I also have a bit of a mancrush for Benecio so that got me through.

The next movie I hope to see is Shutter Island. I've built it up in my mind cause I'm a bit of a Leo fanboy so hopefully it doesn't fall flat.

The last movie I've seen though was Chasing Amy. It was on one of my movie channels and it's as good the fourth time as it is the first. Now THAT is Jason Lee's best performance I believe.

 6. whoa...that was fantastic...you planned it impecably my friend...it just makes me wonder what if anything else you plan on doing because the smallest detail in that story was covered so well...i applaud you that was fantastic
