  1. I'm trying another browser, but I can't download the latest patch either. If someone would mind emailing me the files direct, PM me.
  2. I click the download link and it "starts" the download, but it never actually starts in my browser and just keeps auto refreshing.
  3. Can anyone mirror this? I have ZERO luck downloading anything off Mediafire.
  4. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="liontamer" data-cite="liontamer" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I just wished they'd really unleash her and have her do more than 1 move when 'destroying' somebody. Just come out and beat the tar out of someone.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> Less is more. The one move is a much more impressive visual than her beating the tar out of somebody. They will save that for her match after it has been built up. If she comes out and destroys somebody, goes through half her move set, then the casual fan (which is the majority) has no reason to pay to see her again. Doing one move leaves a mystique about her, that in THEORY, should cause people to have an interest in what she can do.</p>
  5. From a worker POV, I hated Trips and UT. Big bump, big bump, finisher, weapon shot, finisher, finisher, finisher, 90 weapon shots, finisher. Not the way you work a match.
  6. My thoughts on WWE as of late. State of RAW A lot of attention on The Nexus? Good, until they are fed to either Cena or Triple H. If they can avoid those two pitfalls, then it'll be awesome. I'm all for young talent getting TV time and a major angle. WWE Title on Sheamus? I like it. Already been done, but it's fresher than any other current main event champion would be. Evan Bourne's "push"? It's a fad. I like Evan, but unfortunately, I see Creative killing him before too much longer. It's making me think of the start-stop push of Kofi Kingston on RAW. Tag division? Really confused on how the Uso's just show up and get title shots. I understand they are props but WWE needs to at least pretend that belts matter a little. Ted DiBiase Jr? PLEASE less talk and more wrestling. Loving the guy's in ring work but his mic work leaves a lot to be desired for me. Don't like the arm candy either, but it fits the gimmick. State of SmackDown! Don't watch a lot of SmackDown, though I am aware of what's happening. I'm enjoying the Taker angle, I just hope it doesn't lead where it's rumored to go. Kane vs Taker has been done to death. Here's hoping that the Nexus did it. I am loving the stuff with McIntyre. This guy is feuding with Kofi Kingston, Teddy Long, and Matt Hardy all at once. You may not like him, but that's talent to keep the crowd interested in three different angles with the same guy. Like Punk and the SES, but we need something more. I don't know what, but it needs a twist, something unexpected. State of NXT Awful. Only standouts are Kaval, Alex Riley, and Joe Hennig. Kaval doesn't have the charisma to make it in WWE. Joe Hennig is saddled with an awful name. Alex Riley is the winner and will shine in WWE.
  7. I feel TNA is basically a lame duck company at this point. Wrestling at the local level is measured by attendance, but wrestling on the national level is measured by profit and TV ratings/PPV buyrates. Has TNA ratings consistently gone up? No. Have they went up on a one-week basis and then went back to normal for months? Yes. Can TNA cause a spike in ratings for Impact? Yes. Can TNA cause a spike in ratings for Impact and keep it for an extended amount of time? Obviously not. The problem with TNA is that they can get the audience to tune in; by signing Christian, bringing back Sting, et cetera; but they can't get them to come back next week, and the next, and the next. It's the bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, two strikes, three balls, two outs. TNA's up and a flyball right to the right fielder! Every time. At least in my case. TNA will get my attention and then immediately do something that makes me turn the product off. Not to say that WWE doesn't have bad booking, but this is the TNA discussion thread, not the WWE thread. TNA has not established themselves as a brand. WWE has. WWE still draws, even without Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Steve Austin and many other major stars. TNA has Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy, Sting, Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle, and Jeff Jarrett; but people are not tuning in. It has nothing to do with the popularity of Hogan or the others, it's about the brand. Hogan could go to WWE tomorrow and get a hero's welcome, where on TNA, he's just another guy in the Impact Zone now. TNA hasn't established itself or wrestlers with it. They are beginning to now, with Styles, Abyss, Wolfe, Kazarian, and the other TNA guys that they are pushing, but in my opinion, it's too little, too late. TV ratings and PPV buyrates don't lie. If the rumored PPV buyrates are true, then it's probably killing TNA to do PPV. TNA should drop PPVs, maybe not completely but possibly transition to a three or four shows a year model until buyrates are built to a respectable level.
  8. Nobody saw that coming from the Stone Cold rip-off.... Sarcasm!
  9. If we are talking just paying bills, I can name off at least fifteen indies in my region that pay the talent, and all other bills. Are they above ECW then?
  10. Disagree. It might be a big difference when it comes to the business world. However, in wrestling, companies aren't remembered for their amazing business skills. Companies are remembered for great storylines, innovations, and impact on the entire industry. Care to compare TNA with ECW? ECW popularized hardcore in America, introduced lucha/cruiser/X-division style wrestling to America, introduced crash TV to the world of wrestling, and completely changed the way the indy scene is viewed. TNA has done....nothing. They have innovated one match type (Ultimate X), and that is it. TNA will be a footnote in history, mostly due to Hogan's involvement. I can describe to you the contribution of TNA to the world of wrestling in one sentence. Quote me. "TNA was a glorified indy promotion that signed a bunch of washed up and/or drug addicted wrestlers, along with some talented cruiserweights, and got a TV slot on Spike TV before signing Hulk Hogan, who promptly ran the company into the ground." The End... And Vince McMahon lived happily ever after, being the victor of 3 wrestling wars in his lifetime.
  11. Fail. Just because they turn a profit does not mean they are popular, nor does it have anything to do with exposure. As far as we know, TNA spends less money than WCW, which is why it is easier for TNA to make profit. Regardless of size of a company, which one if easier? Making profit with a budget of $1,000,000 or $5,000,000? Obviously the first one. Example, Mom and Pop Video Rental stores are turning a profit, while Movie Gallery filed bankruptcy. Obviously Movie Gallery has more exposure and is more popular than a local video store. Yet they are bankrupt. Popularity/Exposure does not equal Profit. That's just an incorrect statement that you made.
  12. FAIL! According to Wrestling Observer Newslettter, when they break Impact into the quarters, the quarters with the Knockouts are the highest or second highest rated segments of the show.
  13. Does anyone remember the PWI Match of the Year that HBK pulled out of Vince? Sure, Bret is a shell of himsefl, but considering it will mainly be a brawl, it will work. Also, all the rumors that I have seen is if Creative lacks faith in either of them to do a singles, than it will be changed to a tag with Cena and Batista involved.
