If not only because it's been frustrating to me as well, but... I keep seeing how it ended wrong and why, and I can see where they are headed with it.<p> </p><p> I know you have had a hard time trying to watch lately, but the only reason I felt DB was going to lose was because of him winning every single confrontation before this PPV. If I went PPV to PPV, I wouldn't have anything to debate you about with this storyline. However, Daniel Bryan wins more then he loses outside of the PPV, and even at the PPV the only reason he lost was because of HBK protecting his friend HHH, who was introduced to DB's knee. Honestly looked like they are going to play it out as HBK being upset about how everything went down, and....</p><p> </p><p> Did anyone notice that HBK looked like he was in outstanding, and I do mean "ring ready" condition?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Tonight, I think, proved my point. Post HIAC, with Daniel Bryan coming off yet another loss going for the WWE Championship. For all appearances, it looks to be that Daniel Bryan and possibly CM Punk teaming up against the Wyatt family, with Big Show challenging Orton for the title and battling against HHH and Stephanie. This effectively (at least for the time being) is putting Bryan OUT of the title scene. Meaning, realistically, the end of "the chase" storyline without the crowning moment of Bryan actually winning the title.</p>

I think that it's doing what WWE wants it to do, which is make a huge star out of Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan is getting over with people that he wasn't getting over with before. With each "screwjob" he has become even more popular... and I have a feeling it's going to go on til' they think they've reached the ceiling with him, and then the storyline will evolve into what long time fans desired a month or two ago... which is Daniel Bryan becoming the WWE Champion with at least a normal run, instead of being cut short.<p> </p><p> With long time DB fans, and I think young people in general, things feel like they are taking forever. Patience is hard when you think it's been "that time" for months. It also gets boring when you think time after time "Finally!" it's going to happen, then doesn't. </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I would agree with you on this if it felt as though this was building to that cathartic ending, but it doesn't. </p><p> </p><p> The main problem is that there's been almost nothing done to give Bryan's fans that idea of hope. The whole Austin/McMahon storyline that this has drawn comparison to worked because Austin would constantly thwart McMahon, and there was always a trade off of wins (at least moral victories, as it were). That really hasn't happened here. The "Authority" has pretty much beaten Bryan at every turn. There have been others involved in the feud (namely Big Show and the Rhodes) who have gotten over on HHH/Steph/Orton, but Bryan has not been allowed to in the least. That can only sustain fans so long before they lose interest because they've lost hope of seeing the triumphant win. </p><p> </p><p> In fact, I'd argue that seeing Cody and Golddust win their jobs back and take the straps off the Shield, and Big Show causing chaos and knocking HHH unconscious, makes Bryan look even weaker than HHH's/Stephanie's verbal burials have. Others have figured out how to beat the Authority, so why am I rooting for the one guy who can't seem to do it? Bryan doesn't have the aura of the plucky underdog anymore. He could cause chaos on the show and get to the Authority in another way. He could have been the one to cost the Shield the titles the Rhodes, but he didn't. He could have cost Orton the match against Cody that got Cody fired in the first place, but he didn't. He instead has done nothing but the straight-laced, "I'm gonna prove that I'm the best" model, with ZERO success. It's given the impression of a man running headfirst into a six-foot-wide brick wall over and over while everyone else watches him and simply walks around it.</p><p> </p><p> That's the problem with the whole angle, I feel. Even if Bryan does eventually get his big title win, why would you believe it by this point? And how cathartic will it actually be in the end? Best case, he wins the title and everyone who watched the chase and rooted for him will instead just immediately assume that it's only a matter of time before he loses it.</p><p> </p><p> Just my two cents. I've had a lot of frustration with this angle in case you couldn't tell. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  3. I concede that my dislike of the Rock may sway my judgement, but I don't see how you can objectively say that Cena and the Miz ended up with more or even the same level of heat that they had going into the match after the Rock's involvement. In fact, I can barely see how you can say that the match itself had any heat at all. Miz (again, who I don't enjoy) was nonetheless doing an amazing job as champion and being the sniveling heel that you wanted to see get his. Cena (while never the full crowd favorite) at least had the role of being the would-be toppler. However, once the Rock became involved, it became Cena vs. the Rock. The Miz became a complete afterthought, and any face heat that Cena had up to that point was immediately sucked dry by the Rock. Aside from covering up whatever perceived lack of progress Miz/Cena had made, I don't see what benefit Rock's involvement had to either of the other participants in the angle with him. Remember, it's about elevating everyone involved, not just one (part-time) wrestler at the expense of everyone else. I can say that Cena is primed for a big angle, but without turning him heel, I don't see what benefit it will be for him.
  4. I really have to say, this was one of the most disappointing Wrestlemanias I have ever seen. I've ordered the last three, and this is the first one in recent memory that I can say I was truly let down by. There's a few reasons for this, some my own fault. I will say that since the Nexus storyline this summer, I have marked for WWE big time. Before that storyline, I would occasionally flip on RAW to see what was going on before watching some old school wrestling DVDs or lucha videos online. However, that storyline hooked me, and I can say this is the first time in history that I have been that into WWE (I was always more of a WCW guy, even before the Monday Night Wars). Add that onto the WWE hyping big time this WM and the way the storylines were all peaked at the show, and I was hooked. However, here's the problems (I had few issues with the match quality overall) - for one, I did not enjoy the Attitude Era at all, so having Rock and Austin on the show did nothing for me. In fact, I really have never liked the Rock, so I don't even get the nostalgia rub from him. I feel like the Attitude Era stars being injected into the show undermined the strong performances that the regular roster has been giving for months by immediately sucking the heat away from the actual roster. Secondly, I can NEVER remember an advertised WM match not airing, especially without any mention of it during the show. Lastly, my biggest problem is that WWE programming and RAW in particular has become very heel heavy as of late - there have been no real victories for any of the babyfaces in recent weeks with the exception of Orton. That's fine given that they were building towards WM, but the issue is that none of the matches really had that cathartic payoff where the babyface finally bests the heel. WM is supposed to be where the storylines for the year end and new ones begin, and I feel like everything is just continuing at this point. There was no payoff for the fans. Am I ashamed to say that I've been hooked by the storylines lately and that I was a gushing mark and am whining that I didn't see Cole lose or Cena win the title? Absolutely not - it proves that WWE had done their job up to the point of WM. The problem is that there was no payoff, no final victory where there should have been. In that regard, I say that WM27 was a big disappointment. And as a side note, I personally found Orton/Punk to be the best match on the card, with Taker/HHH and Misterio/Rhodes coming in whatever order you feel like.
  5. The FCW and MPWF television logos are absolutely fantastic. Tremendous work, and I'm slightly happy that I could provide you with a challenge on the FCW logo.
  6. Wow Reap. The ACPW title were my favorites that you had done before, and now somehow you've made them even better. The World Heavyweight title blows my mind with its awesomeness. Tremendous stuff.
  7. Awesome work as always on the FCW belts. I know the People's championship is going to win the popular vote, but I'd say the tag belts are actually my favorites of the set.
  8. Hey Kam, congrats on the sticky! Figure I should put my requests in now. Can I get a TV logo for FCW? The name of the show is Super Estrellas de la Lucha Libre (Superstars of Wrestling). Can I also get a TV logo for MPWF? The name of the show is Evento Principal de la Lucha Libre (Main Event Wrestling). Thanks in advance Kam.
  9. Honestly, Kamchatka, this is probably my favorite logo that you've done. It's tremendous, and the style just makes me want to create this company and play as them, and I wasn't even the one that requested it. Fantastic work.
  10. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Kamchatka" data-cite="Kamchatka" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="22790" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><span>http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss39/Kamchatka863/acpwcws.jpg</span><p> </p><p> Im a big fan of making tv shows for the promotions that dont have them in the C-verse. Feels like it helps flesh it out a bit more.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Absolutely fantastic, Kam! Completely surpassed anything that I had in mind! Seriously, this is perfect.</p>
  11. Tremendous work as always, Reap. The set is fantastic, and exactly the type of old-school motif that I was looking for. You never cease to amaze, good sir. Oh and by the way, I too agree that those QAW belts are mind-bogglingly good.
  12. Fantastic work on these belts Reap. You have been in top notch form lately. I especially love this one. Exactly the type of design I was hoping for. The Heavyweight is great too, but this one is just... wow. Thanks man. Can't wait to see what the tag belts end up like.
  13. Awesome work as always on the Japanese Puro League belts. I didn't request them, but they look awesome. Plus, there's not a definite logo showing on the belts, which means that Japan finally has some generic titles! Yay for generic belts! Now we just need to get Mexico a set of their own (but I'm not requesting them... I've got my request in and I ain't changing it).
  14. Fantastic work on the TWL belts! One of my favorite all time CVerse promotions, and now some belts to go with it. I didn't even request the TWL belts and I'm excited to see them done. Seriously, top notch work Reap.
  15. Those DWA belts are fantastic ReapeR. Easily some of your best work as of yet.
  16. Before your request list gets insurmountable, I'd like to throw in a request for three belts for a created company. The promotion is National Wrestling Federation, and is a very old school type of promotion based out of the Mid South. The company uses this logo (courtesy goes to Kamchatka and whoever originally requested it): http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o109/hrdcoresidebrns/NWF.jpg The three title belts that I'd like to request are: NWF World Heavyweight NWF World Television NWF World Tag Team If I can make a request regarding the style, it would be that the belts look very old-school, without a lot of pizzazz. Something akin to the work you did with the XWA titles or the MAW Traditional title that you did would be ideal. Also, don't feel obligated to necessarily try to fit the logo onto the belts - if it detracts from the old-school feel of the belt, I'm fine with it not being on there. Thanks in advance Reap. Hopefully I didn't take all the creative joy out of your work with such a specific request.
  17. Very true. As long as ReapeR allows it, it's great exposure for your work, and it helps make everyone's individual game experience better. That's the whole point, right? Liontamer, your work is great stuff. I've been a fan since the first belt you've done, and I'd say you along with Richyg will no doubt one day equal ReapeR in your work. Speaking of which, has anybody heard anything about Payne? I haven't seen one of his belt renders in quite some time.
  18. Hey Kamchatka, I was wondering if I could get make a request. I was wondering if I could get a TV show logo for All Canada Pro Wrestling. The show is called "Classic Wrestling Showcase". No rush on this, as I haven't even hit regional yet, let alone gotten a TV show. Oh and tremendous work as always on the network logos. The Arcadia logo is my favorite of the bunch so far.
  19. Excellent work sir! Much appreciated, and they look fantastic.
  20. He did a Junior Heavyweight championship for ACPW at my request, which is essentially the same thing ("junior heavyweight" just being a different name for "cruiserweight"). It's on the 1st page under ACPW.
  21. Probably the best belt you've done so far, which is really saying something. I'm blown away by how good this is.
  22. Absolutely fantastic sir. Seriously top notch work on the whole set. I can't thank you enough.
  23. Your logos really are fantastic Kamchatka. Pretty soon you'll be to logos what jtlant and ReapeR are to renders and belts, respectively. And what FIN is to alts, of course.
