1. Why not, as a backstage rule, we add the option to provide health insurance to the members of the roster.

I'd imagine this would be extremely expensive, making it only possible for large companies to afford. But it should be a giant boon to backstage morale, and possibly shorten injury occurrences and duration. Possibly even improve lifespan overtime.

    Thoughts?

  3. I just started my first game as developmental. And I am getting raided, day and night, by my parent company.

There seems to be no structure to it, just whenever someone starts to get over, they're gone. It's really frustrating. I doubt the parent company will do anything with them either, they're likely to just sit there unused. Is there something that I should know about, or any advice on how to make this feature more bearable? Seems like a once monthly list of a few guys getting the call up would be easier to swallow here.

  4. Ahhh, there's your issue. As brilliant as Genadi's mods are, they don't convert to 2020 well.

Generally the converter makes most of the personalities negative, meaning every mod I've converted is basically unplayable.

The personalities are less an issue than the insanely bloated roster for a company it's size.

That said, WCW, even at its dying breath, was never "small." That's absurd.

There's no reason they couldn't have taken the pin fall for Bryan and Kane. And it probably would have been a much better match with higher star power. If you're worried about them losing momentum that way just have them job out two locals in a minute next week. Rinse and repeat.

Do these people know nothing of TEW booking?

  7.
I just recently got back to watching wrestling, and have chosen to start watching Smackdown again since it's likely more palatable than 3 hour RAWs. I've been mostly keeping internet free with my wrestling and while it's nice to just enjoy being a fan, there's a couple things that have been making the cynical smart mark in me try to scream out for attention. So I've turned here to get these thoughts out as I don't feel I'm the only one feeling this way.

    1. Why the hell is Carmella constantly getting the better of Asuka? What the hell is this? Who the hell is booking this? Carmella could barely be taken seriously as the briefcase holder, now she's easily beating down someone who was undefeated for two years?

First off, I have major issues with Carmella as champ. She is not someone who I can take seriously with her rip off Iggy Azelea theme that was outdated three years ago. At best, she's should be a cowardly heel. Someone who talks a huge game but flees at the first sign of Asuka (or any other babyface for that matter). The fact that they're taking this gimmick and trying to push her as a serious bad ass just makes everyone look poorly. Her reign isn't getting over from what I can hear, and Asuka seems much worse off than when she started. They clearly botched this and don't know where to go.

And the fact that she couldn't even been Ellsworth clean and it resulted in a double count out/rematch? Screams of stalling. There is no way other than Asuka winning at Extreme Rules in which she comes out looking good out of this feud. And knowing the WWE and their loving heel reigns, I don't see that happening unfortunately.

    2. Where the hell is the Bar? How do you consistently leave off two of the more talented workers on your roster in a brand that is starving for star power? They don't even need to be in a dedicated storyline they can just float from match to match. Hell, when the USO's came out last week to challenge Team Hell No, I was scratching my head wondering where the Bar was. This was the perfect opportunity for them to show up instead of an awkwardly shoehorned face vs face match. Is one of them injured?

    3. Becky's "hot steak." Where is this going? She's beaten all four of the brands jobber talents in recent weeks, but where does this culminate? Does she then challenge Carmella and take the title (meaning Asuka's push is dead). I'm wondering where she goes from here, honestly.

  8. Don't sign people you don't have plans for seems like solution  They'll probably make more money working multiple indy gigs than they are in your territory anyways.

Kevin Owens & NXT is a poor example anyways. NXT works a lot more like a 3rd brand than a FCW/OVW did which were more traditional developmental companies.

But I do have plans for them. They may debut at the Rumble, or after Mania. I'm just not gonna slot them into RAW the next week because they complained. That's not generally how that works in any capacity, WWE or otherwise. Their emails also just create clutter I mass delete, sometimes missing something important because it was buried.

Also I wouldn't discount the Owens example as so many of our players play as WWE anyway, or have set up some sort of equivalent where the worker would stand to benefit tremendously by just working the development. Even if they never make the main roster their profile dramatically improves upon going back to the indys.

  9. Funnily enough, the workers mentioning they want a callup mechanic was added because people didn't like it when you called up a worker who had been stewing silently about being in development and had enormous morale penalties.

Can't please everyone with this one, I guess. :p

I'd rather a once in a while penalty rather than an email every stinking week. I don't call people up on a whim if I don't have plans for them. Sometimes I have a very good worker in development longer than he needs to be there because the territory needs him to continue to grow itself. The worker also benefits (in my situation at least) from being seen by a world wide audience and getting waaaaay more exposure than if he were beating the world in some nothing indy.

I highly doubt Kevin Owens was sending whiny emails to Vince every week begging to be called up. Then when called up I doubt he was in a pissy mood. It was quite clear what was happening.

  15. To answer your second question I think the benefit of an exclusive ppa is that it is a lot cheaper than a written deal if you aren't using them excessively.

For squash matches I don't know how long but I always have down mine under 6 minutes. Use the domination note and the worker who is dominating has to be pushed at least a lower mid carder. His opponent needs to be an enhancement talent. Finally the winner should have at least good menace and charisma (I dont have an exact number though).

I will be re-signing The Rock to an exclusive PPA. So that way I can keep him to myself for his five appearances per year, but not pay him $100,000 a month which is absurd for how little he's used.
