  1. Luckily, it was not! Unluckily, CWA decided to go on a hiring spree despite being $4 million in the hole. And guess who their first fire was..... Lucy Stone-McFly! So I gave Lucy a short month reign and transitioned the title over to Danielle Sweetheart. Dropping the belt to Danielle was always the plan, but not quite so soon. Lucy's been developing quickly, and I wanted to give her at least a few months. The save has been relatively painless so far, so I had all of this coming, but man... It really hits all at once.
  2. I'm two years into a RTG game as a women's promotion in the Tri-State region, and I'm pretty sure that this save hates women's wrestling. In 2020, Alina America (QAW champion and the ace of the company) died in an accident. Now, at the end of 2021, Talia Quinzel (my champion and ace) just broke her neck in a title defense against Lucy Stone-McFly, who won the title in an audible. Talia had been my champion for nearly 2 years, and Lucy has about 2 months of experience as a pro.
  3. I changed VWA to No-Style Style. Loving it so far. It forces you to have at least three different match aims on a show, and allows any of the match types possible. So I can have Technical Masterclass followed by Deathmatch followed by Eye Candy with the audience being happy to see all of it. It fits the "Melting Pot" fantasy way, way better than Classic Balanced. I also integrated the product, because if the fans want variety, why would they care if it's a man or woman? But yeah, that's the only product change I've made so far.
  4. I'm about 6 months in and I'm loving my VWA game, but I did make a couple of changes to the company. The first, I really did not feel like the Classic Balanced product fits what VWA is described as being. If there's even a hint that VWA is trying to create a truly unique product, why is it using something basic enough that CWA is also using it? So I switched to No-Style Style, which I think fits a lot better, and also requires that I have 3 matches with totally different product aims. I've mainly stuck to Highspots, Technical Masterclass, and Wild Brawl, but it seems like I could mix in some Eye Candy or even Deathmatch if I want, though I haven't actually tried it yet. It is less in the way of sponsorship money, but I've still been making a small profit each month. My booking style is pretty old school, so the subject of most feuds is typically either pride, titles, or money. I feel like it adds an additional twist with the super varied product. I also integrated the company, though I haven't utilized it yet. I just feel that, based on it's description, VWA would be the first European company to integrate. I might have to get on that soon. Landon Mallory has been so great that I'm actually trying to limit the amount that I use him on the show. It's too easy to just lean on him for everything. I have Walker van Cleer and Cub Balowicz acting as the primary threats to the European Title. They also happen to have Great chemistry as a team, so it's working out well. I've protected Lauro Giordano so far, but I haven't really figured out what to do with him or the rest of New Roman Empire. Lauro just doesn't pull the ratings that the other 3 Major Stars do. From the unemployment line, I've hired Garry the Entertainer, Ozzie Goldstein, and The Foreign Legion. Garry just debuted and gained 12 points of pop from a segment and a match in one show. Ozzie has mainly been used for his versatility so far, but is also getting over pretty quickly. Foreign Legion have been a huge success. They're both already considered Stars, and they defeated The Bern Boys for the Tag Titles at our last show. I also jumped and picked up SATO when he was released by PGHW. He just unseated Michael Gregory for the Swiss Title, and he'll likely be leading a small faction of the PGHW Young Lions. Unfortunately, Shozo just broke his ankle, so they're already down one man. We're on track to hit Small by the end of the year. I have confidence that we'll pass EWA before the end of the 2nd year.
  5. <p>I've just entered 2001, and A LOT has changed.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/YnHFyAU.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Toward the end of 1998, I jumped ship from EVOLVE to the newly opening small sized Ring of Fire in England. The run went pretty well. I consistently made a profit, and put on some decent matches, but ultimately the style of the promotion just didn't suit me.</p><p> </p><p> So, toward the end of 2000, I managed to grab the booking job of the similarly sized WLW in Japan. I've run less than a month worth of shows, which culminated with Black Cobra (Duane Stone) becoming the inaugural Universal Champion, and simultaneously forming the Black Heart Smile stable with Acid and GRIM (Richard Coleman). I'll probably build to a title match between Black Cobra and Dark Angel. I'll be forming a team with Tom Gilmore in order to kickstart the tag division.</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, I'll likely stick with WLW, barring things going south with the company.</p>
  6. <p><span>http://i.imgur.com/Y2AkzaD.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Running in C-Verse '97 with EVOLVE in Australia, a performance > pop company. Here is my progress after one year.</p><p> </p><p> Aaaaaaand my year end roll:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>42. "Step Into The Light"</strong> You get your 15 minutes of fame. +5 Pop across entire base country.</p><p> </p><p> This pushes my avatar, Kenny Kihara, into the main event scene, and puts me behind only EVOLVE Champion Tom Gilmore in terms of popularity. I'm pretty happy about this, because I know that Gilmore will be poached at some point, and this positions me comfortably as a reliable figurehead.</p><p> </p><p> My current roster is: Boo Smithson, Butch Perry, Harry Simonson, Inky the Squid Boy, Jack Giedroyc, Jackson Jackson (referee), Manfred Marx (owner), and Tom Gilmore (champion).</p><p> </p><p> I REALLY lucked out with Manfred Marx as owner - he took over and immediately invested $100,000 into EVOLVE. This has made my initial loss of money a non-issue, and along with the rising Australian wrestling industry and economy, is getting me very close to making a profit. Last month I lost only $600. So far, this has been my best RTG game since TEW 2016 came out.</p>
