  1. Last year for 2k23 I decided to wait until all the DLC was out (and wait for a sale) and then I forgot about it and ended up not getting it. This year I’m waiting as well as I just have too many other backlogged games to get through (including BG3). And Dragon’s Dogma 2 is out in 9 days and I know I will playing that extensively. Loved the first game. The story sucked but the gameplay was fun.
  2. Yes it’s likely because engine (VB) has a very crude resizing algorithm (or it’s relying on windows) which is nowhere near as good as any image editing software. So unfortunately to get a clean look you have to re-size to 150 x 150 outside the game.
  3. Yeah that's why it caught me off guard, lol. When I typed it I was wondering what kind of image I would get....I actually thought I would just get that dam dog again.
  4. Bing has blocked 95% of my prompts today and in my frustration I typed “Bing ai sucks” into the prompt box…. Account Suspended, lol. It’s only an hour but it’s funny that this was my first suspension ever in all my years of using the internet.
  5. Do you mind me asking which AI you are using? I've just be playing around with Bing (which can be frustrating) and a free web-version of stable diffusion to fill in generated workings in an ongoing game.
  6. I did finish the main quest once, but I think it was before any of the expansions were released. I also finished Dawnguard at one time. On a side note if you like Crusader Kings & Skyrim the Elder Kings 2 mod is now released and I'm having a lot of fun with it. If you are trying it out roll back your CK3 patch to 1.7.2 as Paradox just patched the game yesterday and the mod isn't updated for 1.8 yet.
  7. Anyway back on topic. Distant Worlds 2 releases today. I had lot of fun with Distant Worlds Universe so I’m looking into getting it.
  8. I'm not even sure if we are arguing here, lol. I'm not waiting for patches. It is 2 weeks and less than 2 hours (which steam will sometimes waive if a game is particularly broken although you can't use the automated return system in that case). I'm summarizing here which isn't painting me in the greatest light. I'm not a person who per-orders months in advance with no information...there's no point (the times that i do pre-order games it's always when the pre-order period is virtually over and only if there seems to be enough information to do so). When I did click the per-purchase button on Sunday there was already decent information out there. It's not the wall of silence that was 2k20. And I did watch videos on the 8th that seemed to show that game-play wise it was decent this year. Anyway my plan was to boot the game up for less than 2 hours during the 3 day trial period and quickly go through the create modes as there are things in there that are problems year to year to year. I could quickly go through these to get an impression if an extra year of development resulted in any more polish and base my return decision on that. The create modes are rarely talked about in reviews (any year). Obviously I would play one match as well. But I was given pause when 99% of the threads in the steam forum were crash reports, serious bug reports and very few actual impression threads. But it's steam forums so you have to take that with a grain of salt. I haven't had time to check the 2k forums yet. So I'm waiting to do my 2 hour trial until after release day. I will concede though now having read through my own logic that per-ordering probably wasn't a great idea. Of the released reviews out there currently only one is PC specific. But like I said I have no problems with returning it.
  9. And added benefit I can leave a review before refunding.
  10. Basically on steam there is no risk if you are patient and know the return policy. I can preorder to get all the bonus content and still wait for reviews, return for a full refund if it sucks. I just pre-ordered on Sunday so I’m well within the 2 week steam return policy (although I don’t think that starts counting down until the release day which is the 11th). I definitely was not going to pre-order on PS4. I believe those who pre-ordered the digital deluxe or NWO editions get 3 days of early access.
  11. What system are you playing on? I pre-ordered on steam so I could be playing now but the forums are currently flooded with bug posts so I’m not wasting my 2 hours until the day 1 patch drops. 2K does not have my trust after 2k20 and if the PC version is a poor port I may just refund without even playing.
  12. The option only changes what file format the game is looking for, it does not convert any of the pictures. You need to either convert them yourself using an image editor or download a .gif picture pack. Also note that if you want stable backgrounds to show up behind the workers you will either need to remove the background yourself before converting or find picture packs that already have transparent backgrounds.
  13. Post in the technical support forum further down. Make sure you include what patch you are on and what database you are using. Also while you are advancing days at the top of the screen the game shows what is being processed. Note down what it says when you get the runtime error. In addition some errors are covered in the faq in the technical support forum so you can check there for possible solutions. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=269 Look at this section in the faq: "I am getting 'RTE 3021 No current record' when trying to view someone's profile when they have an accented / foreign character in their name OR when accessing a list where a worker with an accented / foreign character in their name would be the first person in the list OR the game is freezing when the first AI show is being handled..."
  14. Did you have re-generation turned on at any point for a length of time? Regeneration occurs on the date of retirement or death of the worker but the debut date of the regenerated worker is set to some point around 1 year later. So if you if you ran the save for some time before turning that option off you will still have regenerated workers for anyone who retired or died while it was turned on as the new worker is already in the database.

Sure have beaten it a couple of times but I really enjoy the game up until the Saint Denis bank job mission. After that, I lose interest.<p> </p><p> This site used to have a big Crusader King II fandom, has anyone played part III yet? I have not heard anything about it be it negative or positive.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Apparently I have 267 hours into Crusader Kings III so I must be enjoying it. It seems like it's more accessible than CK2 and I don't think it has as much of a learning curve. Although it may still be hard for those that have never played the series...I have a lot of time in CK2 as well.</p><p> </p><p> It's currently not as complex as CK2 with all the expansions but it's a very solid base and they kept some really good things from CK2 (like being able to form your own religion - which if I remember correctly was an expansion for CK2). The ruler designer was recently added as a free update.</p>

The game was in development for 8 years and the state it was released in is just unacceptable. Everyone piled on Hello Games for No Mans Sky but CDPR get a pass because OMG the Witcher games are amazing. The game was released in a broken state and the developers knew full well because they wouldn’t let reviews for the console versions or footage of them out.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah they don't get a pass for the console versions. They definitely should have scrapped last Gen support and worked on optimizing for the PS5/XBOX. I'm glad way back when I per-ordered I got it for the PC and not the PS4.</p><p> </p><p> Anyway on a high end PC so far I haven't had any major issues in about 10 hours. No crashes, but I do get the odd visual bug (npc kneeling in mid-air, lip sync on random crowd NPCs not always working, volumetric fog washed out once, weird physics on some of the random junk etc). I get about 100fps with some dips to 55fps with settings on ultra/1440p (except ray-tracing on High). With free-sync/G-sync I don't even notice the frame rate changes. I am playing on a machine with an RTX 2080Ti.</p><p> </p><p> I really haven't played long enough to see if some of the criticism over story and content is really warranted. Gunplay feels fine to me...better than fallout but not as good as a first person shooter.</p>

It says at this level i will sell individual merchandise for Major Stars and Stars. I've been at this level for a couple of months and it doesn't show that any of my wrestlers are selling merchandise. Do development companies not sell individual merchandise even if your running them? or is it something else, like my guys aren't popular enough to sell merchandise?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Do any of your workers actually have a perception rating of star or major star? I’ve had situations where my company outperformed my worker and thus my top stars were only well known and I was getting warnings after every show.</p>
  18. Read Player's Handbook -> Training Facilities New workers are primarily generated through training facilities in TEW2020 so you need some in your database. Check out the "Effganic Genesis" mod to see a good example of how it is done. Unfortunately Auto-fix imbalances does not seem to work like it says in the handbook (and I don't think anyone has reported it as a bug). http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=547388

I’m stuck at 75 popularity there. I have Enormous coverage there thanks to the SWF network I developed. I have built an arena, started a new company and built a school there, all in hopes of developing the area. Maybe that will eventually work.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Have you held shows in Tasmania? From your post it’s not clear.</p>
  20. Can't believe I forgot to include that in my post. In my game I couldn't afford to add any beneficial backstage rules so that's probably why.
  21. It has been confirmed in the tech support forum that 1.2 reduced viewership for the 4 lowest levels of broadcasting. Now to explain the drop you had before the patch I have a question. Is your broadcasting coverage over multiple game areas? In my game I'm on wrestleworld as a Canadian company. My US popularity lags behind my Canadian popularity slightly. Economy/Industry were both in high 80's and rising in Canada. They were both in the 30's and dropping in the US. With this combination I was occasionally seeing drops in viewership from one show to the next, even though I was gaining popularity, because of the economy/industry in the US and the US being a bigger market. So something like that could be happening to you. In addition I believe there is some random variance applied to viewership as well.
  22. I just turned around a locker room that had dropped to 50% (from 95) and I was a tiny company in debt so couldn't even offer bonuses. I only had one bad apple. My spiral started because of workers botching moves or hurting each other. My number one advice is get to know the personality attributes. The personality type is always the one at the top of the attributes list. Anyway: 1. Look for problematic personality types (such a bully, needy, gloomy, prickly) and decide if you want to keep those workers. Always check their relationships before you decide to release anyone because if they have a lot of friends on the roster it may cause moral issues which will lead to more problems. Obviously if they have a lot of enemies it can also improve moral. 2. Check your unhappy workers. If giving them a bonus/time off will improve their moral do it if you can afford it. Certain personality types only get into incidents when they have negative moral. 3. Use the worker search feature and set the attribute to be searched for as "People Person", "Irrepressible" or "Lively". These will be positive influences and are much more likely to get involved in positive incidents. Because they are positive influences just adding them to your roster will improve the backstage environment slightly. 4. Find more locker room leaders. I honestly can't remember what combination of stats makes a good locker room leader so someone else will have to fill that in. I only have Cherry Bomb on my roster. 5. Weather the storm and hope you get lucky with some of the incident rolls and your handling of incidents. Once the effects from the negative incidents wear off you will see a jump and if you've hired enough positive influences you should start seeing good incidents occurring. Once this happens you can get to a point where most of the "Notable Other Factors" in backstage are all green, the backstage environment will be 100%. Then you can think about bringing in some of the more problematic talents.

The shows in December where viewership dropped were weekly TV shows, not events.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Did you update to patch 1.2 and when? There are at least a couple of people who noticed a viewership drop after patch 1.2 so it may have been adjusted down slightly in the update.</p><p> </p><p> See this post:</p><p> <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2465918&postcount=1706" rel="external nofollow">http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2465918&postcount=1706</a></p>
  24. This is just a small thing but why don't we have a "Suggest a Name" button on the stables screen for both the main editor and in-game like there is for Tag Teams? There is a table for stable names in the database which I assume the AI draws from when creating stables.
  25. July 2006 apparently. I discovered Greydog with TEW2005...I was in a tycoon/management phase and was basically searching the internet for anything good. Randomly came across a review for TEW2005. I was never really into mafia though. I occasionally browsed those mafia threads but never even really dug into what it was about.
