  1. Something like modding should always take a back seat to life and work so obviously no worries! I think everybody is just giddy for a well balanced mod for that time period ^^ Take your time and enjoy your summer! We all appreciate what you're doing here
  2. Take your time! Can't wait! It's one of those absolutely perfect scenarios I'd love to test out with your attention to detail. But good things need time!
  3. I haven't been so invested in WWE in a decade! You guys are doing a great job! One of the most visually pleasing diaries I've ever read. RAW: I'm still a little unsure about Trinity, not in terms of how you've been presenting them but rather the grouped up talent. Feels a little bit of a waste for Rollins to be honest but I have faith and hopefully ends in a power struggle between Bray and Seth with Kross coming out as a solid upper midcarder. Note: Big Hammerstone guy, seems like the absolute perfect fit for WWE if that company would make any sense in the real world. Thankfully, we got you guys. SD: RKBro is SD and I like it. I really enjoyed the Drew/Finn story play out, but I still think we will have something big happening at the Rumble and Roman will go into WM as the champ. And I LOVED the Adam Cole - Jeff Hardy match from Judgement day! Keep it up guys!
  4. Diamond Ring presents Total Attack From Southern Pier Hakata Hall 16th June 2013 Seiki Yoshioka & Koji Iwamoto vs Hiroki Murase & Manabu Suruga Seiki Yoshioka wanted to build upon his victory against Tigers Mask last month, but this time in tag team action. Yoshioka teamed up with young lion Koji Iwamoto as they tried to dismantle the debuting Manabu Suruga and Hiroki Murase. Murase was trained by Animal Hamaguchi and Tajiri, but just like Iwamoto, has been a wrestler for only one year. His partner is a true journeyman of the Japanese independent scene and it was Suruga as the most experienced who controlled the pace and after successfully isolating Iwamoto for a good chunk of the match, Suruga submitted the young lion with a Cross Armbreaker. Apple Miyuki vs Ram Kaicho Apple Miyuki was upbeat as ever but seemed quite confused by the enigmatic Ram Kaicho in the beginning of the bout. Just like last month though, Kaicho seemed more interested in wreaking havoc in the venue than winning the match. Miyuki was able to dodge a couple of attacks and put Kaicho in the Apple Sleeper to make her pass out. When Kaicho regained consciousness, she put her teeth on the ropes and had to be removed by the referee. Hideki Suzuki vs Tigers Mask Tigers Mask was quite upset last month, losing to the less experienced Seiki Yoshioka. This month, the masked man was presented with a completely different challenge: Billy Robinson’s disciple Hideki Suzuki. The technical wizard intimidated Tigers Mask early with his superior catch wrestling ability, but Tigers Mask had a couple of flying surprises ready for the man from Hokkaido. Suzuki adapted quickly and switched up his game plan mid-match to bring out his background in Judo, throwing Tigers Mask all over the ring. With no answer to this new strategy, Suzuki pinned the Osaka-native after a Double Arm Suplex. Akari vs Meiko Satomura Akari was born in Chile and has been wrestling for about three years. Her shining red hair also explains her nickname ‘La Ninja Pelirroja’ or the red-haired ninja in English. Akari was the clear underdog in this match against veteran Meiko Satomura and while the South American high-flyer was able to surprise the joshi star time and time again, Satomura worked relentlessly to control the plucky ninja and caught one of her flying attacks to perform her patented Death Valley Bomb. The same way Meiko Satomura won last month! Don’t fly at Meiko, ladies! HAYATA vs Shuji Kondo HAYATA was braggadocious as ever when he issued an open challenge at last month’s event. Lady Luck had other things planned for the spectacular high-flyer, as his calculated risk turned into a rude awakening, when debuting Shuji Kondo answered his challenge. Kondo is a decorated junior heavyweight, capturing the GHC and AJPW Junior Heavyweight titles on different occasions, but he just recently left All Japan and now made his first appearance as a freelancer for Diamond Ring. Shuji Kondo felt underappreciated in All Japan and proved at the event why many consider him a Top 10 junior heavyweight in Japan. In arguably the match of the night, HAYATA backed up his talk with a lot of walk, but Kondo’s powerhouse offense threw HAYATA off his game on more than one occasion. In a hot finishing sequence with a lot of near falls, Kondo flattened HAYATA with his King Kong Lariat, just to put on his deadly Gorilla Stretch to make the youngster tap out. Kondo acknowledged HAYATA after the match, but the Osaka-native just rolled out of the ring, enraged by his loss. Kensuke Sasaki & Kento Miyahara vs Black Buffalo & Billy Ken Kid Kensuke Sasaki must have realized that separating his two students, Kento Miyahara and Katushiko Nakajima, might be the wisest decision at this point. Nakajima still hasn’t forgiven Miyahara for his betrayal in NOAH half a year ago and he doesn’t buy that Kento has changed in any way. Kensuke Sasaki sees this differently and wants to give his blue-chip student another chance. The Osaka tandem of Black Buffalo and Billy Ken Kid were facing master and student, but as if Sasaki wanted to prove to all the doubters that Kento is not a traitor, they showed brilliant teamwork to slowly dismantle the veteran junior tag team representing Osaka Pro Wrestling. It was Sasaki who tagged in Kento to deliver the final blow to Black Buffalo with his Break Heart (High-Angle Pedigree). The two celebrated and all were happy…or were they? Katsuhiko Nakajima vs Yuji Hino Yuji Hino has left his mark at last month’s event, where he played the role of party pooper for the planned reconciliation of the Kensuke Office. The Muscle Monster pinned Katsuhiko Nakajima after his feared ****ing Bomb and Nakajima has been clamoring for revenge ever since. Kensuke Sasaki granted his student’s wish but also warned him to be careful of Hino. Yuji Hino is a true heavyweight with 270lbs, outweighing young Nakajima by 70lbs. Nakajima is no slouch though and his rapid-fire kicks and striking offense matched the power of Hino. A close encounter that was on par with the great match between Kondo and HAYATA beforehand. They exchanged lots of near falls in the end, when Hino brought a lariat barrage upon Nakajima and finished him off again with his ****ing Bomb. Hino was quick to kick Nakajima out of the ring when Kensuke Sasaki appeared to save his student. Hino took a microphone and said what it was all about with the Obon Warrior tournament? He wants to take part in that and win again against Sasaki and his talentless students. Sasaki accepted and promised to take revenge for his student if they crossed paths.
  5. Thank you! I'll use Imgur going forward. And thank you for your picks, 229tman. Show will be up in the next couple of days
  6. Thanks for your picks! Little formatting question: Why are my pictures disappearing? uploaded them through imgbb and just a week or two later, three or four are already gone. Does anybody have a suggestion which service is best to use? Would really appreciate the help! Oh, and as for formatting, it's definitely not my strong suit, so I'd always appreciate some constructive criticism, just so I can make this easier to read and therefore more accessible
  7. Diamond Ring Pick'Ems First show is always difficult to predict and admittedly, there were a couple of curve balls ^^ Thanks for your picks, I'll update this with every event
  8. News-Update #2: Full card for next events, Obon Warrior Tournament, new signing News-Update #2: Full card for next event; Obon Warrior Tournament; new signing Full card for June's event 'Total Attack' Akira Hokuto wrote this week's blog post. Sasaki's wife thanks the fans for their continued support and that so many came to see the last event. While her husband already announced the main event for the next show, she is happy to announce that the full card has been finalized. The event will have the name 'Total Attack' and will feature some very interesting matchups. Hokuto is very excited to see the young Akari in action just like Shuji Kondo, who answered the open challenge by HAYATA! Details for the Obon Warrior tournament in August Akira Hokuto is happy to announce that her husband Kensuke Sasaki will be the first entrant to the tournament. Over the course of the three-day-event, 8 wrestlers will battle it out in knockout style to find the one with the strongest ancestor spirit. She hopes that the women of Diamond Ring will have the opportunity in the future to compete in a tournament as well. New signings While Shuji Kondo and Akari were already introduced, Hokuto wants to present the newest tag team signing for DR and she's very happy that it is a joshi tag team. The Jumonji sisters, consisting of DASH Chisako and Sendai Sachiko, are already eager to prove themselves among the joshis in Diamond Ring. They are not only former Ice Ribbon tag team champion, but are also the reigning Sendai Girls Tag Team champions. Hokuto is very happy that they will take part in future DR events. Akira Hokuto again thanks the fans for their patronage and support and hopes to see many of them in the Southern Pier Hakata Hall, but it's quite small, so the joshi legend recommends buying tickets in advance!
  9. News Update #1: Tour-Plans; DCC; Masa Kitamiya status Kensuke Sasaki will now regularly update the fans between the events to not only inform them but also share his own thoughts from time to time. Sasaki first thanks the fans for coming to the rebirth of Diamond Ring. He is still upset that they lost in the main event but promises to bounce back soon. Even more upset than him was Katsuhiko Nakajima because he was the one beiing pinned. As a result, Nakajima challenges Yuji Hino to a singles match in the main event of the next show! The show will be next month in the Southern Pier Hakata Hall. Tour-Plans Sasaki is proud to announce that in August during Obon holidays, Diamond Ring will partner up with the city of Fukuoka to produce three open-air shows in Maizuru Park during the annual festivities around the holiday. Obon week is all about honoring your ancestors, so a lot of Japanese people return to their hometowns during that time. With that kind of emotion in mind, Diamond Ring wants to produce the shows under the name Obon Puroresu Party. To make it even more interesting for the fans and visitors of the festival, there will be a tournament over the course of those three days, crowning the Warrior of Obon. The crowned one will be sure of the blessing of his ancestors. Diamond Championship Committee Sasaki feels very honored and glad that such respected members of the industry are now overseeing the title situation in Diamond Ring, as that had been a constant worry on his mind. He singles out Toshiaki Kawada as a very worthy president for the committee. Sasaki hopes that there will be soon title gold in Diamond Ring but stretches the point that he wants the committee to take all the time they need. Status of Masa Kitamiya Sasaki apologizes to fans who have been upset with him because he didn't even mention why Masa Kitamiya wasn't on the last show. Masa is recovering from an ankle injury and it's unclear if he can step into the ring this summer. Kitamiya is working hard on his return and thanks the fans for their support and concern.
  10. Diamond Ring: Hakata Homecoming Hakata Homecoming from Zepp Fukuoka, Fukuoka 19th May 2013 Tigers Mask vs Seiki Yoshioka In the first match of the evening, Seiki Yoshioka surprised Tigers Mask with a roll up. The veteran from Osaka was upset after the match and ignored the youngster when he offered a bow of respect. Apple Miyuki vs Panchan Rina The following match presented the fans with the first glimpse of the Joshi Division. Panchan Rina tried her best to overwhelm Apple Miyuki with an avalanche of kicks. Considering her kickboxing background, a wise match plan. Miyuki was able to smartly defend the attack and use her superior experience by luring Rina into a trap and putting her to sleep with the Apple Sleeper. Not the worst first impression, but both women weren’t able to take the crowd along. Diamond Championship Committee Now it was time for the Diamond Championship Committee to make their appearance. Akira Hokuto came out with Hiro Saito to formally introduce the remaining members of the Committee. To a great ovation, Road Warrior Animal made his way to the ring. They exchanged pleasantries before Hokuto took the microphone and announced that the first president of the committee will now make his way to the ring. The lighting changed and a familiar theme brought the Fukuoka crowd to a frenzy. None other than Toshiaki Kawada made his way to the ring, acknowledging the other members and then promising the Diamond Ring fans to take the responsibility seriously. The DCC then bowed to the fans and made their exit. HAYATA vs Koji Iwamoto In a match-up that lifted the crowd, HAYATA overcame Koji Iwamoto after a courageous fight by the youngster. HAYATA brought the crowd to a gasp with a dangerous suicide dive over the guard-rail. After the match HAYATA put out an open challenge to the Diamond Ring locker room, junior heavyweight or heavyweight, he doesn’t care. The Kubota Brothers (Hide & Yasu Kubota) vs Black Buffalo & Billy Ken Kid The Kubota brothers have been journeymen of the Japanese independent scene for years but were never able to settle in one promotion. Unfortunately, their debut in the Diamond ring didn’t go too successful either. The Osaka imports Black Buffalo and Billy Ken Kid tagged in great harmony and blind trust, even overcoming twins in the end! Meiko Satomura vs Ram Kaicho The face-painted and unreadable Ram Kaicho was able to catch Meiko Satomura on her wrong foot and brought her to the ground with rapid attacks. After bracing through the first couple of minutes, Satomura nailed Kaicho with a heavy shoulder block. Kaicho’s strategies were too offensive and narrow-minded to get Meiko in any severe danger. A last resort by Ram saw her flying off the top rope with a cross body but the veteran Satomura caught her for the Death Valley Bomb and the pinfall. Meiko wanted to congratulate Ram Kaicho after the match for her performance but she just screamed in Satomura’s face and ran away. Hiro Saito vs Kikutaro In a true comedy bout, Kikutaro was able to outsmart the veteran Hiro Saito by constantly imitating Masa Saito who Hiro shares no family bonds with. Angered by the identification mistake, Hiro attacked Kikutaro in a rage but the masked chameleon was able to surprise him with his patented Kaiun Tornado and take him down for the pin. Kensuke Office (Kensuke Sasaki, Katushiko Nakajima & Kento Miyahara) vs Yuji Hino, Hideki Suzuki & Masato Shibata Kensuke Sasaki was never a peacemaker. And he won’t be one after tonight either. Bringing together the public reconciliation between his students Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara was the personal goal of Sasaki and when all the dust is settled: it was a failure. They faced the team of ‘Muscle Monster’ Yuji Hino, Hideki Suzuki and Masato Shibata. Suzuki was often disgusted by the brash and condescending behavior of Yuji Hino but the real story happened in the other team. Nakajima routinely slapped - almost chopped - Miyahara for a tag-in and while Miyahara stayed calm for most of the bout, he refused to save Nakajima when he was in peril at the end, leaving him laying after Hino’s last powerful barrage of moves. Sasaki seemed visibly disappointed by his proteges but nobody knows where this is heading.
  11. I didn't wanna take East Meets West because there is a storyline requirement if I'm not mistaken. I never thought that worked too well for puro companies anyway, so I rather take Mainstream Puro where they don't destroy each other as violently as with Strong Puro. Yeah, Avantgarde Puro is a bit too off-the-wall for a Kensuke Sasaki run company ^^
  12. Great minds think alike! Of course 05 would have been the actual starting point but I like that I got Nakajima and Miyahara a little more developed at that point. In terms of product I was going back and forth between Strong Puroresu and Classic Mainstream Puroresu but ultimately decided on the latter. I wanted to put out a comedy match every now and then but all the Puroresu products severely penalize that. :/ Thanks for your comment! And I appreciate the picks!
  13. Matchcard for Hakata Homecoming The popular couple of Kensuke Sasaki and his wife Akira Hokuto made close to a month before their 'real' start as a promotion the announcement of their first match-card. The event will be called 'Hakata Homecoming' as Hakata is the 'old' name of one of the cities that ended up merging into Fukuoka. The name might be more emotional as the venue is not in that part of town but Kensuke wants to bring the old fire to people's hearts. The main event will be a six-man tag team match featuring the Kensuke Office with Kensuke Sasaki, Katushiko Nakajima and Kento Miyahara tagging up. Sasaki says there have been a lot of arguments when they were in NOAH but now they will be reunited to lead this promotion. They will face Yuji Hino, Hideki Suzuki and Masato Shibata. Shibata has been competing all over Japan for almost a decade and is eager to prove himself in Diamond Ring. Hiro Saito will also step into the ring to take on Kikutaro. Kikutaro has travelled all over the world, plying his trade, imitating wrestler's gimmicks to provoke and make fun of them. The well-rounded Meiko Satomura will take on the wild Ram Kaicho. Satomura will have her hands full with the Metal-Punk-Demon. The Osaka Pro Wrestling relationship will come into play with Black Buffalo and Billy Ken Kid teaming up to take on the twin brother duo of Hide and Yasu Kubota. HAYATA also comes with OPW credentials and takes on Koji Iwamoto in the first of potentially many battles down the line, as these two possess the skill-set and determination to realize their potential according to Sasaki. __________________________________________
  14. Thanks for your comments, guys! I've really enjoyed the YesMod recently and this time period just lent itself to create a full-fledged promotion. I'm not super familiar with all of the workers who have been on the smaller indies honestly but I'm going by what the game tells me and do my due diligence on the upper carders. Hope you'll enjoy the first event!
  15. Diamond Ring: HQ moves to Fukuoka, first roster members, JOSHI DIVISION, Diamond Championship Committee Kensuke Sasaki and Akira Hokuto have made some significant announcements in a lengthy blog post today. Here are the most important notes: - Kensuke Sasaki and Akira Hokuto had their offices for the longest time in Yoshikawa, Saitama Prefecture but have now apparently made their move back to Sasaki’s hometown Fukuoka. It’s also the hometown of two of his proteges: Kento Miyahara and Katushiko Nakajima. A decision part sentimental, part business, as Sasaki sees enormous potential in the sixth-largest city in Japan, which is one of the only growing cities in Japan and has a comparatively young population. - The couple announced the first names for Kensuke Sasaki’s Diamond Ring: Yuji Hino, 28, was trained by TAKA Michinoku and while they share some common characteristics they are polar opposites in the ring. The 245lbs heavy hitter calls himself the ‘Muscle Monster’ and uses the ‘****ing Bomb’ as his finisher. Sasaki was sure to point that out in his blog post. A great, classic Japanese brawler in the vein of true strong style, as if Sasaki himself had molded him. One question mark remains however: How long will Hino continue not being noticed by any of the major promotions? Hino has already built up quite a resume in K-DOJO and also DDT. Hideki Suzuki, 33, who was trained by the legendary Billy Robinson is going to step into the Diamond ring as a regular member of the roster. Suzuki has competed before for Antonio Inoki’s IGF promotion and has the potential to be one of the key players for the company. There are not many in the world better than him in taking his opponent apart by precisely attacking different body parts. Adding to that is a cooperation with Osaka Pro Wrestling, what will bring in Black Buffalo, Billy Ken Kid, Tigers Mask and up-and-comer HAYATA. While the three masked men are there to provide a veteran presence for a young locker room, Sasaki singles out the spectacular HAYATA as a potential star for Diamond Ring. Another hiring is a youngster who has been turning heads in the Tokyo Micro-Indy scene: Koji Iwamoto. Only one year of professional experience, Iwamoto will probably be treated as a kind of young lion at first, but he has heaps of potential for the future. With Kensuke Sasaki being married to one of the true greats in the Japanese female wrestling scene in Akira Hokuto, the promotion thinks they should use that unique angle. Starting from the first show onwards, Diamond Ring will have a Joshi division! Hokuto will take care of the women while Sasaki looks after the male competitors. Apple Miyuki, Meiko Satomura and Nagisa Nozaki were confirmed as the first female roster members, although Nozaki still has a long way to go to come back from her injury and will help out with office assignments. Kensuke Sasaki confirmed that he is putting together an independent championship committee right now with respected members of the industry to form the Diamond Championship Committee or DCC in short. All the title belts in Diamond Ring are planned to be governed by that committee. The committee will then decide judging on the roster situation, which title belts and/or divisions are to be introduced. Sasaki himself will not be a part of committee until he retires from active competition. Akira Hokuto will be part of the committee just like Hiro Saito, but also selected members of the media. The DCC will present itself in its initial form at their first show. The Kensuke family closed their blog post by promising their first match card at the end of the week and thanking everybody for their continued support!
