  1. Thunderverse is my favorite mod for sure. I remember once someone requested some Thunderverse cuts on the C-verse background, and I liked a couple of them so I downloaded the mod myself for the same purpose, figuring there'd be more good pics as well. So I was going through the folder and then I figured, instead of just taking the pics, I should import the whole workers, because the hardcore scene in the C-verse is very thin. So I started a game just to check out the workers and I quickly noticed how much more alive and robust the world felt. It's everything that the C-verse is and much more. And especially as someone who likes to run hardcore/deathmatch companies, it's been an absolute godsend. Tons of liberal workers, and plenty of decent hardcore ones, with hardcore companies operating in most areas (none in Europe, but two in the US). I think people would be amazed at how big this mod is and how much work went into it. It's the only mod in the fifteen year history of TEW to be officially endorsed by Adam Ryland, and for good reason. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The camera frame size needs to be changed from 36 to 35, as per <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2237049&postcount=313" rel="external nofollow">MJStark's post</a> earlier in this thread. He also posted a pack of all the presets in that post, but the link is long dead.</p><p> </p><p> So maybe try that out as see if the angle looks right to you once you render it and place the image. I recommend making a bald guy (or rendering one without hair) and then using another bald guy from the mod to get the proper placement. I used Fujimaro Tansho, but I checked against a few other random guys too (not necessarily bald), and... I dunno. See how it works out for you.</p>

It's really only noticeable when I switch back and forth between them and actual Thunderverse renders. I made a bald guy and used another bald guy to line up the picture properly...</p><p> </p><p> I'm working on a dynasty and I'd really like to do some renders for people from my dojo. I've been using some free pictures and old renders of guys (as long as the new render looks different enough), but I'd really like to do some for them myself. As well as do some more free pictures in general. But of course, if they're off at all, then I don't want do put them out there.</p>
  4. It really sucks that there are several people who want to make new renders and there's nobody around to tell us the proper settings.
  5. There probably is no reason that you would need to. Some goes for most people, I'd wager. However, as the person who requested this I can tell you my reason for doing so. I like to name my tour events by the venue that they're held in, so when I look back at my show history I can tell at a quick glance where I've been running shows. A typical example would be "WEXXV 8.18.19 Yokohama Red Brick Arena" (although I'd probably have to truncate it to something like "WEXXV 8.18.19 Yokohama RB Arena" because there probably wouldn't be enough room for all of it, so I really hope we have longer event names this year as well.) Anyway, what I'd have to do is enter the PM, figure out where I'm going to hold the show, then back out, reload the save, rename the event, then enter the PM again, losing whatever backstage incidents may have occurred the first time. So now I won't have to do that anymore. This is a big change for me.
  6. I hate the 1-100 rating system, too. That's why I use letter grades. During a game, go into Options > User Preferences then select "Show stats as grades rather than numbers". That's basically a 1-17 scale now. If that's still too much for you, then go to your TEW2016 directory, then go to Skins > Default > Graphics, then replace the C- and C+ (for example) with just C. Now you essentially have a 1-6 scale. Problem solved. It'll still show your segments as C+ or B- if you look in show history and things like that, but your workers abilities will always be displayed without the +/-. Although it sounds like number grades (and the displaying of ratings as images, making them moddable) is a thing of the past in TEW2020, so enjoy it while you can.
  7. <p>Does anybody have the Daz Studio settings files for Thunderverse workers? I've decided to try my hand at making some new renders, and have done a couple so far, but when I try to make to make the TEW worker picture, it just doesn't quite seem to line up 100%.</p><p> </p><p> I got the settings from a really old post (TEW 2010 era, I think), and they didn't quite look right. Then I found another old post with the settings files, but of course, the link was long dead, but I figured it may have just had the same settings I was using anyway. Then I find another post, saying that one of the settings was off slightly as it was from a really old version of Daz, so I made the change that was said, which helped a little, but it still looks slightly off.</p><p> </p><p> So does anyone have the proper settings handy? I don't wanna post anything until I'm sure I've got it right.</p>

  9. <p>Love this dynasty. I like how realistically you run it for a Japanese promotion. Very similar to how I play, only I usually use WEXXV or LETHAL (in the Thunderverse) so there's like, more barbed wire and stuff.</p><p> </p><p> Probably won't post much, but I'll definitely be reading this one for as long as it runs.</p>
  10. Wow, not one but <em>two</em> concurrent dynasties of my favorite C-Verse promotion. I'm sure that's never happened before (and I've read them all). In fact, I don't think there's ever been to concurrent dynasties at all that feature deathmatches. Gonna be keeping an eye on this one.
  11. Good stuff, must be a couple a years since someone did a Warrior Engine dynasty. I'm sure I've read every post from every WEXXV dynasty that ever been done, and I'm not about to quit now.

Give us a little faith that we are going to make TEW2020 better than everything that has come before it and understand that not every feature can be announced in complete detail ahead of time. If something is removed, that usually means that something better is coming along. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In my experience that's been true. I've just been reading up on the Developer's Journal and there are so many amazing additions and changes, but one exception to that statement I'd have to make but is the removal of the product sliders.</p><p> </p><p> Just the reasoning behind the change wasn't "this'll make the game better", it was changed because a lot of modders, mostly real life mod makers, would just use the preset products. I mean, we're talking about people making a whole world, thousands of workers, and all that entails, title histories etc. </p><p> </p><p> Then there's the 50, 70, 100+ promotions that need to be created, most of which they will be completely unfamiliar with, I mean, of course they're gonna use a bunch of presets. How are they gonna know exactly what makes Promotion A different from Promotions B or C if they've never even watched them?</p><p> </p><p> What boggles my mind is that it seems to have saddened Adam to make this discovery, that modders weren't using the sliders much in lieu of the presets, yet the remedy was to take away the sliders from the rest of us, and adding <em>even more</em> presets based purely on what modders, a ridiculously minuscule proportion of the game's user base, have been doing.</p><p> </p><p> I think the focus should absolutely be on the people <em>playing</em> the game. As it is now, if someone's playing a mod and they don't agree with the product, they can always tweak it to their liking. That option will be gone now, and we'll just have to hope that something closer exists.</p><p> </p><p> I don't see why he doesn't just add more presets, so the real life modders have more options, <em>and</em> leave the sliders for the rest of us. I have never once, with any promotion I've created or taken over, used a single preset product. The product I'm playing right now isn't even remotely represented by any of the presets. Not even a tiny bit. It's my favorite product that I've ever played with in any TEW game, and if I'm unable to carry that product over to TEW2020, then it'll probably be a deal breaker for me.</p><p> </p><p> But I'm probably beating a dead horse here, I imagine there was a whole big thing about this change already when it was announced. I'll still give the demo a try of course and see how it goes, but this really makes it rough for me.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Today's announcement is great however. I never used fog of war at all, but I would consider giving scouting a try, sounds much more interesting.</p><p> </p><p> There is one thing that worries me though. He mentions attributes being rated on a numerical scale, eventually narrowing to an exact number. Letter grades are not mentioned at all. I really hope letter grades have not been axed. I absolutely loathe number ratings, I'm about letter grades all the way.</p><p> </p><p> If letter grades aren't in, then it may be fixable via modding to change the numbers into letter grades, but that assumes that the ratings are still displayed via images. However with the game being completely rewritten from the ground up this year, that's not an assumption that can be made.</p>
