I'm not sure how to search for this answer. How is the company popularity working in the current build? I'm playing through the 97 mod as PDW as a booker my critical goal is to rise from insignificant to Tiny in two years. I'm 8 months in and i've only gained 1 point of popularity. All of my shows have had a rating of 28 or higher running 1 show a month. Fans have been around 80 or so with cheap tickets. My current prestige is 4% with 26% momentum. What would anyone suggest for me to try and gain 10 points in popularity in the next 15 months in game? (without using the editor)

Do Diaries need to be started at the beginning of a game save? Or can they be a few months in? I've played a game and I'm about 5 or 6 months in and I've been really enjoying it so I wanted to start writing one to see if I like it. But I don't remember all the little things I would want to include from the begining of the save. I was thinking of starting it off as a Booker that has kinda been cautiously guiding the ship to see what is what for the first few months before really taking the reigns and that is where I would start the diary.

In the C-Verse 97 mod, it septemmber of 97 and AMW is going out of business. (real shocker i know) BUT XFW has been bought out two months ago and is now a developmental territory for SWF and DAVE has been bought out and closed down by SFW. With that, Nemesis joins PPPW in what should give them the East Coast Wars over RPW and NYCW

I may not have binged this in a day or two like I've wanted to, but I have hooked on this since i found it. I've finally "finished" with what is here and crossing my fingers and hoping the forum snaffew wasn't enough to dis-rail the story. I have chosen to read this over my D&D books for prep; thank god for improv; and Drizzt book im reading. I have a small sneaking suspicion; with absolutely no proof or reason for it; that Grace's dad knows what is going on in the background and secretly loves watching his Diamond on the QAW shows.

CGC!!! I would love to see how you handle the DeColt's vs the Stones. But that is me personally. Of course, it's you're diary and I'm sure you'll get a spark on something sooner or later.

A small edit for MAW, in game time, they're only in there second year, with 1 Rip Chord Invitational winner, but the event is set up to be the 15th showing.

Thank you soooo much for this! I've loved playing the 97 mod by DerekB and have played that mod for the last three iterations. I can't wait to give this one a try. I've always wanted to get into MAW at the ground floor and this looks to come as close as possible. Here's hoping I can book the style to my liking. Thanks again!

Thanks for the tips. Some of it I can use, some; doesn't apply as I want to do a local to global. So the no hiring in the first month is sort of a moot point. I do like to book ahead, just not too far ahead as I like a little ongoing roster turnover when doing smaller feds to keep roster fresh. So I usually book in 4 month spurts. Three matches in the fued; if needed; with a screw job or tag match somewhere in between. As for an end date, oo boy. I don't know. I know i should have one. Just like a book, you write the climax first. (it's pretty much what has you excited for the story anywho) then you write the events that lead up to that point. But Local to global, i guess an obvious end point would be making it to Global, or to 1st in pop and the company wars. Hmmmm. So hard at the moment to decide. Hopefully, I can produce something that at least one person would enjoy reading and it keeps me engaged. It definetly had me a little more interested in my game to where i did 3 shows in a 2 hour span last night by playing ahead.

How do Diary writers play and write diaries? Do you play a few months, take notes then write the Diary? Write the Diary as you progress; like after every show; or play the game and try to write from memory? What has one found to be a comfortable template to keep notes with. What I'm doing so far I put an example of. Any thoughts on being more organized to make writing a little easier? If this has been asked, I apologize. But does a workers Momentum get reset every time they're contract ends and they come back a few months later? For example of what I'm thinking of, is that I'm running a new game from the ground up. Trying the 0 pop thing and I want guys to be fodder without completely destroying them. So if I bring in a Sammy Bach for instance, (just a name off the top of my head) and he gets squashed for two or three months, and he exits the company. Will his momentum go back to neutral if I bring him back in say 3 months? Or will he come back with cold/ chilly momentum?

does anyone know where the post is that had the explanations of what the Dirt sheet tells you? I know it used to be around, but i couldn't find it with the Forum Search tool. I went through the 3 pages of search results and no luck.

Unfortunately, it looks like the way this works, is that it pulls all the data from an exported file from 2020. So as some information is different in 2020 then 2016, it's almost difficult to do to convert it back. What is if you find the most useful on this that you would want to see on a spreadsheet for 2016? I love working in excel and learning new things so i might be able to look it up and work on something.

So I'm going through the game and realizing im getting old as I don't like some changes. I think the biggest thing for me though is how some of the screen looks. The tables. the lines on the tables are just too thick. Does anyone know if this could be fixed with Skins?

But i always get sentimental when i see someone realize a dream and their emotions show. To me, the best moment in recent history for me, Kevin Owen's debut on NXT. Even though he tried to hide it. Just seeing his face and the raw emotion he displayed. </p><p> ANd the biggest pop ive ever had, was A.J. debuting at the Rumble. I still watch the Reaction video's to it from time to time and it brings goose bumps every time.</p>

Peria is right. HGC was the place that became TCW. Not only is this game about the east coast Wars in the universe at that time, is also the beginning of the battle with SWF. They're both cult fighting to become national. I forget where I read it, but I believe that (in cannon cverse) HGC was failing to keep up with SWF. Tommy Cornell has been released by SWF flee whatever reason and he took control of HGC, re-branded it to TCW and changed it from a copy cat to SWF and changed the product to be more in ring performance instead of pop based. The above is always interesting to me to see be played out while I control sometime else. My current game is in December if the second year and HGC stole Christian faith six months in. Now they're 1 importance point from being national while SWF is spiraling to regional.

Your importance falls from 16 to 15. In that same period, if you went from 20 pop to 21, but the importance in the region fell from 80 to 75, your importance is then 15.75. </p><p> </p><p> Then of course, the higher you get in your pop, the more pronounced the change is when the region itself drops in popularity.</p>

going through my game, im in the month of may in my second year of the Cverse 97 mod. Sam Keith was just Released from SWF for making homophobic comments. This now leaves SWF with 0 Icons against HGC's 4. SWF is just going even further down. In other News, Steve Flash now holds the NOTBPW Canadian Title, and The CGC world title. In essence making him a Undisputed champion of Canadian Wrestling.

I'm just over a year into my Cverse 97 game and HGC (will soon be TCW) stole Christian Faith about 6 months in. Just this month, they signed away Rory McCallum. They've been on the upswing the last 5 months consistenly putting on shows 83 or over. The events being around 87 to 88. SWF meanwhile is struggling to get anything 80 or over in the last 4 months. It's been fun to watch as i run my little Northwest Local company.

I was just curious about thier being a cap only because it seems like Gilmore went from 8 to 20 on a pretty decent incline in over 7 months time and has Platued in the last three months despite the proverbial rocket to his back.</p><p> </p><p> The way i thought pop worked that as long they hadn't reached there destiny cap, that they could gain pop for winning matches against someone with more pop, or if they were in matches or angles that were rated more then there pop. (i think there is supposed to be a threshold, but not not sure how much)</p><p> </p><p> As for the manager, I have been putting him in Freestyle angles with Punisher. I knew it had to be active in a segment to get some sort of pop gains. It just seemed weird that he gained 2 Pop points in the first month, and then has been steadily at 2 since then despite the angles. Oh well, I'm hoping it will start to go up a bit soon.</p><p> </p><p> I was curious about the mask because I usually hear stories about how wrestling promoters would put someone under a mask when they green and needed to get exposure but didn't want to bury someone. so you put them in a mask that no one knew about, and you let them get on the hands training without burying their name. So i was to do something like that with Troy for a few months until i could change around his gimmick.</p><p> </p><p> I know this would be a loop hole if it didn't have drawbacks. For instance, if someone that wasn't a huge star went under a mask, not many except maybe those backstage would know who it was. So whatever pop the guy had would drop to zero and you would have to build him up all over again. Then unless you had a unmasking angle on a show, whatever gimmick bonuses and pop the guy had, would be lost except for when he had the mask on.
