  1. Totally agree...if Lebron had decided to join the Heat to play with Wade, Miami could've found better pieces to compliment those two alone then those two and Bosh.

It's almost as if they'd been better off keeping Beasley and/or chasing someone like David Lee or Luis Scola

  2. OK..watched the Heat/Celtics again last night..

And I'm just incredibly unimpressed by Bosh the more I see him in big games. He's wilted fast and the Heat are getting HAMMERED on the interior. Instead of Jerry Stackhouse, they should've put in a call to Eric Dampier.

Even when Miller returns, I can't see them beating the Magic or the Celtics in a 7 game series. Maybe not even Atlanta.

  3. Also...

That belt has Hardy's face on it. Nobody will have that belt for long except for Hardy. If RVD wins the title back we will have another TNA title. You could see how the TNA title was broken when Hardy handed it over.

..you don't still honestly think Hardy bought the belt and NOT TNA? You've got more common sense than that, right?

Again...I don't have any problem with the angle around the new title and I think it "fits" the Jeff Hardy character just fine and I'm sure that the belt will be replaced whenever the "hero" finally takes Hardy and the Immortals down (I have no idea who that is and I kinda don't think TNA knows either)...

But the idea that Hardy bought the belt himself is crazy so I"m just wondering if that's what you still think..

I'd put the ball on Jeff Hardy. Not Hogan or Jarrett or Eric. Just Jeff. Sick, twisted, weirdo Jeff (and maybe Matt) Jeff on top feuds with RVD, Kennedy and Angle, one at a time. Deeply personal feuds in which an almost Joker-like Hardy messes with their minds and 'crosses the line' into realms the wrestling business has never seen before. Psychological warfare from a psychotic, psychedelic lone wolf. I want him to mess with their families and ruin their lives. </p><p> </p><p> I'd solidify Fortune and make them the No1 heel faction, and with the exception of Hardy, top heels. Flair. Kaz, AJ, Beer Money. No more infighting. No more additions. They head up the charge for the other belts. MCMG vs AJ & Kaz. Lethal vs Storm. Roode holding the TV strap. That's right, I'd mix it up for a couple of months before revisiting Beer Money vs MCMG. </p><p> </p><p> I'd also fire 15 guys, and replace them with 5 fresh faces from the indy scene, who would be pushed strong out of the bat. Currently, Robbie E is the only guy on the roster who is fresh and new. Hard to get excited about guys I've seen flounder for years.</p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I love all of that. Especially the idea of Hardy/Angle. Kurt is one of the better actors there are as far as wrestlers go. And you'd have a TON of material to work with depending on how far Kurt was willing to let things go. Especially with JJ in a stable with Hardy.</p>

If you want fans to get behind a guy, if you want him to be a star..the PUSH them. Keep them involved in storylines. Get them over by having them actually win a match on a PPV. </p><p> </p><p> Jay Lethal is a great example of a guy who had the rug pulled out from under him for no apparent reason. but the same could be said of Ken Anderson, Matt Morgan, The Pope and Desmond Wolfe at various points in time in the last few months alone. </p><p> </p><p> I get that in storyline terms this is the time when the heels should go over. They should be going over for a while actually. But there has to be a few guys you keep looking strong and looking like threats so that fans stay invested until the tide does turn.</p>

I can skip a month's worth of episodes, read one recap of a PPV, and be completely caught up. It un-entertaining,so i don't watch. But at least I understand their reasoning and purpose...so even if *I* don't like it I can see who does. </p><p> </p><p> The reason TNA is sooooo worth talking about is because they're a train-wreck. They switch products directions on an almost monthly basis...stories start and stop...characters are pushed and then de-pushed...wrestlers who are redhot will lose cleanly for no reason on TV and nothing will come of it....their owner goes on twitter to promise ground-breaking innovation then ignores her own promises...wrestlers are signed, brought in TV and made part of a huge main event angle then never seen again...it's total mayhem. </p><p> </p><p> I don't understand their logic. I don't need to be impressed; I'd just like to see a consistent direction and - and this may be IWC smarkiness - I'd like to see them use talent and storylines that don't constantly refer to stuff that happened a decade ago. </p><p> </p><p> If the Immortal storyline continues along this arc, but then ends in due time with the babyfaces going over and a new star being made as the face of TNA, then I'll be happy to admit I'm wrong and there will be far less complaints from me. </p><p> </p><p> But based on the MEM story, and the history of the people involved, I don't feel confident that will happen. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Stennick" data-cite="Stennick" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25170" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The same thing could have been done by just declaring Jeff Hardy the Immortal Heavyweight Champion and a new belt. 9. <p>I personally think eventually it's going to be two teams moving to LA, with that stadium in Carson deal being too attractive to pass up and the NFL wanting that TV market too badly to stop teams from moving. </p><p> </p><p>

I think one will be San Diego, and the other the Jags.</p><p> </p><p>

I expect San Diego will maintain most of it's fanbase since Carson is close enough for a lot of SD fans to still actually attend games and there will still be that West Coast connection. </p><p> </p><p>

But the Jags..that team should get the Tennessee Titans re-boot treatment and just pick a new name and logo</p>

  15. Point is, some guys didn't do much in college but there could've been a reason other than their lack of talent that lead to it. Maybe they were buried behind someone else on the depth chart. Maybe they were misused in college. Maybe they just hadn't fully matured yet as athletes. Maybe they played for Northern Iowa so no one knew they existed.

    Totally agree, totally true.

But I only bring it up because of the mention of a comparison. If you're going to throw a guy's name in context with someone like Tom Brown around after just one game, the *maybe* it makes sense if they had a hugely successful and comparable college career.

But in this case he didn't. At all. Which makes the comparison doubly bad.

    That's all I was saying.

  16. I have to agree with you Slag the Rams,Bucs and Cheifs have been getting all the talk but DA RAIDERS have a solid quarterback and a punishing defense they also have Jacoby Ford (Who could be just what they need) a fast WR with soft hands and he was even drawing comparsions to Tim Brown of Raiders lore...that is what you call impressive!

Jacoby Ford has had exactly ONE good game. He was a middling college WR and this game against KC makes up like 80% of his production on the year.

Tim Brown is one of the greatest college football players of all time, a Heisman winner, and will eventually get in the HOF.

So anyone who made that comparison really needs to calm down.

I would guess not....</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Pope faced Abyss in a lumber jack match where the lumberjacks were Pope's 'congregation' or in other words a bunch of actors hired to play Pope's group of buddies, including his 'brother'</p><p> </p><p> Pope lost when Eric came out during the match and made the moey sign with his fingers, and the congregation turned on Pope.</p><p> </p><p> Wouldn't be as annoying if the JJ/Joe match didn't also have an over-the-top heels cheat to win deal.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25170" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Also who did Lethal face, is he still the champion and did he win? I would guess so....<p> </p><p> Thats about the long and short of what I want to know concerning TNA these days...</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Lethal faced the jersey shore dude and lost. I'd say his heat is officially killed off.</p>

They out muscled and out-defensed a team built on being physical and pushing people around on defense. Considering how soft GB's run game is and how the defense was playing early in the year and how many injuries they have, that win by GB WAS incredibly impressive.</p>
