Boo! Good grief I’ve been out for a while...

For those that have it, what are your thoughts on FM15? I've been planning to pick it up but have noticed what seems to be more complaints than usual - there's always people that complain about the AI, match engine, lack of lower league coverage, etc. but it feels like EVERYONE's complaining. My perception may be skewed though so I wanted to ask here and see if others had that perception.

They may; I'd have to look it up in my Bartender's Black Book. For the uninitiated, Three Wise Men and their Mexican Porter is equal parts Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker and Jose Cuervo.

I have actually ordered a round of Three Wise Men and their Mexican Porter, which was the last round in an escalating rounds that included pretty much everything on the list except cider (which isn't all that popular in the States). So...yeah, pretty much all in one go.

I'm a network subscriber mainly for archive stuff, but will watch the major events live (well, slightly delayed, but still night of). The main event salvaged what was to that point a mediocre show. The Ambrose/Wyatt match would have been a show-stealer if it hadn't gone so OTT post match - got no problem with teasing a TLC match next month, but seriously? Still...that moment...oh my word.

The irony is that JR's a Steelers fan.

Hmm...the four I had were myself, Eisen, Swanton and IER. Didn't see you at all. Could you see us? Did you try to chat at all (would understand if you didn't since you were on the phone).

If I was in a pay league it would bug me - my one pay league actually drafts live at a local Hooters then the commish manually enters the results. I don't think I'd join a pay league that did it any other way. Anyway, I'll send another email out through ESPN with an update.

Yes, the person I was chatting with called it a 'known issue' and that it was supposed to re-arrange itself starting in the third round. Would have been nice if they'd put something on the home page...

Yeah, you can set predraft rankings up until the draft starts. Keepers lock about an hour before the draft but that isn't the same as the predraft rankings. There is an ESPN app I believe but I haven't tried it.

Attention all players: We noticed in the minutes before the draft began that the draft order was not snaking, but instead going 1-12, 1-12, which isn't even an option in the draft settings. I reset the draft (no picks were made). I am going to find someone on the ESPN site to complain to, hopefully get it sorted, then I will reschedule the draft for tomorrow (Saturday 8/30) at the same time (9pm ET). Apologies to those who made the draft, I'll do the best I can to figure this out.

They will just prior to the draft. You are allowed two keepers who will be protected from the draft.

@Swanton and packerman - please PM me an email address you would want to use for this league. I still only have the one confirmed vacancy, and since Swanton asked first it will be his. I will chase down anyone I haven't heard from yet to see if there's another vacancy.

As a perennial league you don't have to be re-invited, so you should be able to go to the ESPN Fantasy Football main page and Wrath of Eisen should be available in your My Teams section. If you see a message like 'Your league manager must reactivate this league for the upcoming season' please let me know right away, because I have in fact reactivated the league and would need to figure out why you're seeing that message. I've tenatively set the draft date for Friday 8/29 @9pm ET, and I'll send a league email for this as well. It would be a good idea for you to check on your team ahead of time so you can mark you keepers and protect them from the draft.

Well, we have one confirmed vacancy so far, still need to hear from a few others. I'll have another update over the weekend. I'm looking at the weekend of August 29-30-31 for the draft - that should give folks plenty of time to do their research. Can folks start to let me know what times are good for them (or if it's easier, times not available)? I'll do my best to accommodate everyone, but that can be easier said than done.

I did go ahead and reactivate the league - will send emails out and see who responds so we know if we need to recruit or downsize.

I was able to watch some of WWE Wrestlemania 14, 16, and 17 which was an improvement from yesterday so it looks like slowly but surely the problems with the VOD are getting fixed. With the Roku update (thanks for mentioning TheBooker!) the VOD playback is more stable - could get through Starrcade 83, but if I tried to load Starrcade 84 it would actually boot me out of the channel entirely. Starrcade 85 loaded up fine though.</p><p> </p><p> Hopefully they'll get it sorted as they figure out just what their typical usage rates are.</p>
