RIPW already, I opened 1 and then I bought out 1 of the European ones and kept it as a development company. Between the 3 of them, I had the same number of trainers you have, about 50 wrestlers in dev and gave all 3 of them TV shows on the SWF network which was getting nearly the same ratings as my SWF TV shows so when I brought someone up from dev, they generally were auto-pushed into the mid-card.</p>

Just generic athletic, show-stealing gimmicks.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I used "Knockout Spark" for a similar team in one of my saves. If they have a finisher or gimmick that doesn't conflict with it, it is a nice generic name for teams like that.</p>
  4. I have a quick question about owner goals:

If the goal is not to hire any wrestlers over 40, would you fail this if you hired someone who is over 40 in a non-wrestling role? The guy in question is a wrestler and a commentator but I only want him as a commentator, but I'm thinking I'll still fail, even if the contract stipulates he can't wrestle.

In 1 of my early SWF saves, I had a similar goal of not hiring anyone over 35. One of NotB's announcers contract was up and he was 55 or so. I tried to hire him, got the warning about the owner goal conflict. I either didn't throw enough money at him or he was loyal to NotB, I don't remember which but he didn't sign with me and Richard Eisen's relationship with me went negative and I ended up getting fired a couple of weeks after that due to the my job performance being at the lowest setting then. Up until I tried to hire that announcer, I had an Excellent rating as a booker.

Shorter version, if that goal is important to the owner, it can cause a lot of trouble with your owner relationships.

In every case, the match rating is about 8-10 points lower than if I just have the heel win a tainted victory with the face being kept strong. Most of the matches have been using the "Regular" match tag as well rather than Story Line or some other match type.</p><p> </p><p> Sorry about the late reply, family emergency just after I posted that question so I've been away from my PC the last few days.</p>
  6. <p>Has anyone gotten a good match rating in SWF (pop over perf) using the ref bump booker note? </p><p> </p><p>

I want to use it to extend a feud with 2 ME of a title but every time I've used it before the match rating was a lower quality than if I just used a tainted victory or something similar. On the other hand, I've never used it for the ME, only mid and lower mid-carders. </p><p> </p><p>

Has anyone tried and gotten good ratings with it? And if so, did you do anything to set that up like other booking notes or calming of the crowd, etc.</p>

  7. <p>So I'm booking SWF and Jay Chord gets into a fight backstage with Richard Eisen and I'm to chose Jay's punishment. Since he's been a pain backstage the last few weeks, I suspend him for 28 days. Jay now has simmering tension with me and Richard (the 64 year old owner) that he had a fight with is telling me that I was too harsh on Jay. </p><p> </p><p>

I just sat there staring at that message for like 1 full minute going, really? To add to that, my personal assistant is telling me that Richard Eisen has morale issues (which are new). I keep reading that (intentionally) as "moral issues."</p>

  8. So I was playing last night and I was trying to Meddle in a positive way 2 wrestlers in my locker room. In doing so, I realized that I've never intentionally tried to make a negative relationship. So my question is does anyone here try to make negative relationships between people on your roster and if so, what is the benefit or is it just for role playing? I can't see the benefit of intentionally making Wrestler A and B dislike each other when I pay them to entertain the audience.
  9. I just tested it again. I guess you can. I had one that I was trying to align with reject me so I figured you couldn't do it but I tried with another and they accepted.

Interesting, I tried it with SWF and Richard Eisen stopped it from the moment that I clicked "Create Alliance" so all I have to do is wait him out. Just have to figure out how to convince him to take the bus with the cut brake lines everywhere...:D

What's the best way of doing that? Do I just put them in as an announcer or color guy for matches</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Basically, yes you can place them as Announcer or Color guys. If you don't have to hurt the match ratings, use them in the pre- and post- show positions. A different option is to use them for a B show as well.</p>
  12. <p>So I'm been playing an SWF game which is new for me and I ended up about 2 weeks before Supreme Challenge 35 offering to buy out TCW who accepted but that was too soon to do anything with them in 2015. So I just did a brand split into 3 brands and added them into the roster for the next year. I just finished Supreme Challenge 36 and had the best PPV show that I've ever had in this save:</p><p> </p><p>

Jack Mole (aka Tommy Cornell) (W) v Vengeance to win the SWF World Title (99)</p><p>

James P (W) vs Angry Gilmore to retain SWF NA title (82)</p><p>

Jim Daubs (aka Wolf Harkins) (W) v John Greed for TCW World Title (90)</p><p>

Edd Stone (W) v Spencer Spade retained TCW National Title (82)</p><p>

Valiant (W) v Rocky Golden retained DIW International Title (85)</p><p>

Greg Gauge (W) v Blackfire for SWF Cruiserweight title (81)</p><p>

    Robbie Retro/John Anderson (W) v Jeff Mock/Steve Daubs (aka Natural Storm) (97)</p><p>

    Hi-5 (Gino/Chill) (W) v Uprising (Masked Cougar/Patriot) v Full Force (Sayeed/Joel Bryant) (TCW Tag Titles) (78)</p><p>

Complete Package (Joss Thompson/Beast Banton) (W) v Brain Damage (Kerry Wayne/Albert Bull) to win SWF tag titles (77)</p><p>

    Mother Nature is a Bitch (Avalanche/Killer Shark) (W) v Awesomness (Huey Cannonball/Jefferson Stardust) (cage match) (88)</p><p> </p><p>

And in between I had various interview segments that ranged from 86 to a pair of 100* segments.</p><p> </p><p>

Final rating was 98 for the show seen on the SWF Network for a rating of 39.23 and 102,000 people at the show. I'm very happy with how that show went.</p>

I'm not saying that you shouldn't follow his advance, just keep in mind where the advice is coming from <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> My question, I'm at work and I can't try this right now but I'm running SWF and I have 3 child companies. I pretty much buy out every one that gets into financial trouble that will let me. I just finished Supreme Challenge 36 and thought about "wouldn't it be great if I could have my child companies have a single intra-company show that week too". In the same vein as NXT TakeOver, WWE PPV, Raw, and then Smackdown. </p><p> </p><p> Now, my question, can I set up an alliance and place my child companies within it and create a handful of alliance events over the calendar year that would act like that?</p>

They instead became gatekeepers for upcoming heels to beat to get into the main event or for heel challengers/champs to beat to look strong. </p><p> </p><p> I just finished SC 36 and Rich Money has created a stable and I'm toying with the idea of re-uniting them and joining Valiant to take on the Money Inc. stable and have one of them (Randy most likely) turn heel. Still not sure what I'm going to do with them after that storyline plays out.</p>

Put Glenn under any Brute-based gimmick he can do as well as Polo doing a Raven light gimmick and you've got a good group to scare the public with.</p>
  16. Every time I have done that they still get upset. Not enough to become a disturbance in the locker room, but I hate risk losing the morale bonus. I even had them lose it in a tag match with their partner taking the pin, lol.

I think that my 97% backstage rating helped a bit but I also setup Scythe for a lose by having him lose by DQ to both Kirk and Spencer (I think that's who it was) when they had 1-on-1 matches with Scythe and the other would attack the challenger (Kirk would attack Spencer and vice versa) helping both challengers with a pop boost.

I moved Scythe to a different storyline just before that title match and gave him a tainted victory against someone at his level (Lassie I think) at the next tv show right away so that his morale wasn't too badly hurt. He still hasn't won a title at that level yet, he's just been flirting with the Main Eventers and will be Vengeance's dragon when he wins the title next PPV.

  17. As far as I know, only the best of the top row skills is taken into account (with the exception of Flashiness working as a bonus to Aerial, if I'm not mistaken). This worker shows because he/she has a good Aerial skill (and maybe because as a bonus, a good Flashiness rating too). Pretty one-sided, but pretty good at what he/she does.

The Basics, Consistency, & Safety ratings might be boosting the top-line ratings enough to be a good in-ring worker too.

  18. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="shawn michaels 82" data-cite="shawn michaels 82" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>There are a few ways of doing it. One is vacating it, but that's a last resort. The other one is making him lose to someone more willing to put others over, someone who is next to his overness level. You can always put the title as floating, although that part won't probably help with guys that don't wanna lose to others much less over. And so on. They key here is finding the right person to put the title on and then take it down to the workers you want. If all else fails, start a new reign yourself and go the Pat Patterson route, with the Brazil tournament. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> You can simulate it as having been lost in a house show this way.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> One thing that I've done is have a 3 or 4 person match with the winner of the belt and the loser not involve the champion at all. I used the Keep Strong on the champ and it (to my mind) is one of those times when the champ says he only has a 1 in 3 chance of keeping the title, it comes true. The Angel/Jericho/Benoit title matches where Angel lost both titles to both Chris' without being involved in either fall was on my mind when Scythe moved into the Upper Mid Card and held 2 lower titles.</p><p> </p><p> I've also had a new feud setup for the champ to start and have that guy interfere with the match allowing the champ to move on to another storyline while letting my new champ have new challenges to face.</p>
  19. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="smw88" data-cite="smw88" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I think all brands have to use the same product settings</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> No, that's not true. </p><p> </p><p> At the "Adjust Brands" screen under the "Brand Split" menu/window, you are given the option of changing that brand's focus. For example, my SWF and NAPW (North America Pro Wrestling) brands are "Normal Focus" but my ROH brand is "Modern Focus" which makes me up the content, danger, and intensity of matches on a ROH branded show. If I hold a PPV or an Event across brands, those matches are the same settings as SWF and NAPW. </p><p> </p><p> What I'd love to have is different default match types per brand or slider settings that can be saved by match type so I can save a ROH match with Medium content and the sliders set to 30%/40% danger/intensity.</p>

I create custom match defaults to use with such ratings.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Related to that question, is there a way to have the intensity settings default by brand or match type? I have 3 brands now for SWF where 1 of them is a modern focused brand. I've created custom match types with average content levels but I'll sometimes forget the Intensity sliders as they default to the SWF defaults.</p>
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="James Casey" data-cite="James Casey" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41263" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>In order:<p> </p><p> Inciting Anarchy</p><p> United Purpose</p><p> Strike From The Shadows or Pounce</p><p> Fundamental Flyers</p><p> RRET or RETeam</p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thank you for those! I went in a slightly different direction with Halloween Knight & Tigre but your names for the others are great and I'm using those.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks again!</p>
  22. <p>Several teams from development need names</p><p> </p><p>

I ended up doing a brand split for my SWF run and I'm bringing several teams from development to the main rosters. The development ended giving them the basic names of Person A & Person B so how about some help. None of these guys have debuted yet so I can use any gimmicks or face/heels settings as well:</p><p> </p><p>

    Tombstone & Warmonger</p><p>

Angel De Mexico & Mercutio Sleep</p><p>

Halloween Knight & Tigre Salvaje Jr</p><p>

High Flyin Hawaiian & Riley McManus</p><p>

    Roderick Remus & Elliot Thomas</p>

  23. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DarK_RaideR" data-cite="DarK_RaideR" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>May be just a shot in the dark, but try going to the product screen and choose one of the pre-made product definition, whatever you think matches "Modern Focus" best. That product's danger/intensity setting should be a pretty good guideline. Not sure if you can find anything more specific.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's what I did when I added danger/intensity to the brand. I looked it up as its own product and increased the danger/intensity to that level which was too much for my audience. So it appears to be between a company that is "Modern Focus" and a brand that is "Modern Focus within a Sports Entertainment company". I'm going to have the next show use different combos of danger/intensity until I find the right one but I hoping that someone could just say "hey, dummy, look over here and there's your answer."</p>
  24. <p>Brand Split Data Checks?</p><p> </p><p>

So I'm running SWF and I did brand split. I changed the brand focus to leave 1 as "Normal Focus" (aka Sports Entertainment) and 1 as "Modern Focus". When I ran my first show on the new brand, the notes said that the audience wanted more danger and intensity. I added danger and intensity to the next show but I added too much (the show was too intense for the audience).</p><p> </p><p>

I know that I can see intensity/danger combos for the company on the product screen but I haven't found that for brand. Is it there and I'm just overlooking it or do I have to spend another show to 2 adjusting the danger/intensity sliders?</p>

  25. Is this for an established company or a new one? And where are you based? Maybe "Naughty By Nature" is leaving you cold because you need some colloquial or geographic flavor. Seems a decent enough name to me but I agree it doesn't seem to suit this talent mix.

My SWF game. I've got too much talent on the roster and I'm trying to start a stable war (or two) to keep the undercard busy.

Krissy Angelle has positive chemistry with all of them and Citizen X & Ekuma have excellent tag chemistry. The plan is to have them feud with Huey Cannonball and he recruits some others and I get a stable ware going.

Right now Cage & Greed are mid-carders while Citizen X & Ekuma are lower mid. Krissy Angelle's (aka Sister Mary Many) gimmick is the only currently Legendary gimmick on my roster and I find it amusing that a Naughty Nun gimmick has a Legendary rating.
