  1. I get that, would be nice if you could do it though. Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I ended up bringing an outsider into the story early as a replacement to get around the issue, before I realised you could change titles in an angle. Oh well.
  2. Thanks for the reply but I checked that and it says already says "Any".
  3. Bit of backstory, I was building a tag team feud heading into a PPV where the plan was to have the tag titles change hands. 2 weeks out from the event and one half of the tag champions gets injured and can't work matches. No problem I thought, the planned match will now be a handicap match, and actually will help extend the story. I pre-booked the handicap match, put the tag titles on the line, went to save it and was told the tag titles can't be on the line because it is not the correct match type. I know this is uncommon, but it's not as though it hasn't happened countless times in the real world, and I am playing as WCW so hey, titles changing hands under less than usual circumstances is basically an unwritten rule. Is there any way I can go about having the title change hands in a match without replacing the injured champion?
  4. I don't buy it, Kennedy could have been big. Look at Edge and all his injuries, they still managed to get him where they wanted.
  5. I thought Truth was in there to give a few "oh no, but these guys are friends. what are they going to do?" moments, given his "relationship" with Cena and Morrison.
  6. Personally I think for the sake of business, Taker has to retire after losing his streak. Once he is retired the streak does no good for business, but having him lose it will give a big boost to whoever takes it, no doubt about that, and here is what I would do with it. Building up to Mania I would have Miz get into a bitter feud with John Morrisson (sp?), and I mean a bitter feud. So much so that Miz never has the opportunity, or even forgets to cash in the MITB contract. At the start of Mania I would have the announce team really hyping the fact that Miz has not cashed in the MITB contract, and now can not do so. Have Miz come down to ringside as they are talking about it, make it seem impromptu, then have him rant and rave about how he has the right to cash in the contract. VKM or someone then comes out, tells Miz that the contract is now null and void. Miz then has a brutal match with JM, which he wins but is badly injured. Miz then jumps one of the MITB participants on the way to the ring and takes their place, ala Edge and Kofi in the Elimination Chamber. By some miracle the Miz wins MITB for the second year running. The main event for the night would be Taker vs someone, preferably Kane but I'm not sure if the story will last that long. Taker goes into the match as champion, so the hype from Kane is that he will win the title and end his brothers streak. Also have Taker say that if he loses his streak then he will retire. Have the match go back and forth, with Taker eventually winning. As Taker is celebrating the Miz attacks, and gets the pin. Ding ding ding, we have a new champion, and Miz has ended Takers streak. The gains from this; -Miz gets elevated and is champ. By default JM also ends up in a main event feud over the title due to their existing feud continuing. Surely the IWC would mark out for this... -We get all the build going into Mania of Taker possibly losing the title, the streak and his career. This could be an epic build with Taker vs Kane. -Miz now gets to brag that he won 3 matches in one night at Mania, he is the champ, he ended the streak and ended Takers career. Talk about a feather in the cap... -Forgive me if I am wrong, but is Miz not "undefeated" at Mania, with a streak of 1-0? Have him claim Takers streak and start saying that he is 20-0 (or whatever it is that Taker is), each year he then builds on that with typical heelish cheating. This could then build to another huge match years down the line. Personally I think this could put Miz over as the No.1 heel in the 'E. That's about it, not sure if it makes too much sense, but it does in my head.... EDIT: I think I have made a bit of a boo-boo. Miz won MITB at the MITB PPV, didn't he? So the year wouldn't have expired by the time Mania comes around...bugger.
  7. This has just made me realise exactly how ridiculous this conversation is. Not only are we speculating whether it is a work or not, but we are then speculating on what may happen after we find out the results of our first speculation. After all of that speculating, we are then stating how Bryan is feeling. DAMN!
  8. Exactly what I said a few pages back. Not only cutting all ties, but if it is a legit firing he would surely know that by still following them, people will think it is a work. I am not saying he needs to do anything silly, because lets face it, the 'E is a good paycheck that he may want/need in the future.
  9. I can't help but think, if it is to do with the PG image, etc, then why exactly is it a problem? My understanding is that RAW is shown after the watershed, so the kids shouldn't be watching at that time anyway, and if they are then it is the parents responsibility rather than the TV network/show. They can then edit it out of any replays (as they have done) which the kids then watch.
  10. And just think, this from a company that gave us Katie Vick, people being set on fire, someone being runover, and many more similar angles...
  11. damn it. was hoping for TNA and Bryan to capitalize on this if it is a legit firing...
  12. Question; if Danielson was legit fired and he doesn't have a 90 day clause (they don't if fired do they) then if you were TNA how much money would you throw at him to get him at Slammiversary tonight?
  13. How does it help prove it IS a work? He was only not part of the company as far as the storyline goes, so if it is a work then there is no need to announce it, but if it is legit then announce it... Announcing it on the website could just be the WWE's way of f'ing with the iwc. I think rather than speculating we should all just wait and see.
  14. You mean messing around with it like changing the name or something?
  15. I may be reading too much into this, but Bryan Danielson is still following the following WWE Twitter accounts at wwe wwenxt WWEUniverse Maybe Bryan isn't particularly bothered, but if I had been fired then I would have unfollowed them... Anyway, I may be reading too much into it but I hope this points to the fact that it is a work. I have to say though, I love this. Not only is the angle shaping up to be a good one, but when was the last time that there was any debate over what is legit or not in wrestling? As much as I hate to say it, the internet has pretty much taken the fun out of wrestling. and before you say it, yes I know that I am not forced to read anything, but curiosity always gets the better of me, the same as someone saying "don't look down"
  16. At 1:48 (roughly) is Heath Slater not choking Cena with the ropes? Or at least he was trying but is too much of a f'up... So is it only a problem when it is a legit choking, or is it a problem when someone appears to be being choked?
  17. Just watched Impact and thought it was an awesome show. It has been a very long time since I haven't fast forwarded through a wrestling show of any kind (I only actually watched about 30 mins of 'Mania) but I loved this show and watched every second. Major props to TNA for putting on such an awesome show. Hopefully the boo-boys will take a week off now.
  18. So many things, so I will just give the short version. 1. When people write "I could care less". Come on people, it is "I couldn't care less". Get it right or don't use it. 2. Text speak in general. When was the last time you had a proper conversation with someone (face to face by actually speaking) and said "oh my god, laugh out loud, laughing my ass off and rolling on the floor laughing"! Seriously, why do people feel the need to make themselves look stupid? 3. Facebook! People waste far too much time on there and it has absolutely zero purpose. If I want to keep in touch with people and talk to friends then I will, and by phone or face to face. 4. When someone tells me that the way I feel about something is wrong. For example, if I say "Personally I think that the play was a bit boring" then how can someone tell me I am wrong? Damn it, it is how what I think about it. 5. People getting things out of life that they don't deserve. Either bad things happening to good people or good things happening to bad people. 6. When your partner assumes that you are psychic/telepathic. Her. "Oh, can you just get that for there" Me. "Get what, and from where?" Her. "Oh, you know..that thing" Me. "No, I don't know. What thing?" Her "Why don't you know you ******* BEEP $(£*)^)£ *****!!" 7. People who whine about having children. Sorry, but you knew what you were getting yourself into. People like that do not deserve the blessing of having children as there are SO many people that would love to have children and can't for some reason or another. 8. People who complain about how hard their life is. Sorry, but do you watch Comic/Sport Relief (in the UK) or some similar show that shows us just how bad it can be for children/families in 3rd world countries? So you have to buy the value range food or can't afford to go and get pissed again tonight? Boo f'ing hoo! 9. People who drink too much and then act stupid. Come on people, you don't have to be a prat to have a good time. For that matter...people who complain if I don't drink and tell me to relax and have fun. Since when did you need to have alcohol to have fun?
  19. A bit of a random one here guys, but I think someone needs to remind the pr and advertising guys at WWE who is currently on the roster. In a photo slideshow at http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2010draft/draftgallery/ the first four pictures feature 8 different characters, 6 of them are now in TNA, one of them has left the industry and the other is Vinny Mac. Now, I know that there is a history of "referencing" the opposition, with cases such as The Huckster and The Nacho Man, but I really can't remember anything for a long time with regards to WWE making reference to TNA. I really don't see how they can think that people aren't going to look at pictures of nWo, Rob Van Dam, Eric Bischoff and say to themselves "hmmm....I wonder what happened to them, I think I will have a look" I know if I wasn't aware of TNA then I would definitely have a search for these guys after seeing those pics.
  20. Just a quick post to show my great appreciation for posting a spoiler here in plain sight. Thank you ever so much! Now that it is out there lets discuss. Anyone think that the WWE has finally realised that the main-event scene is stale? Seriously, Sheamus had his overnight push and now Swagger goes from the "oh, is he still there" guy, to the position he is now in. Seems like seat-of-the-pants booking to me... and for who I think should be a future world champ, I would say; Drew McIntyre Dolph Ziggler DH Smith Ted Dibiase (I would chose him every day of the week over Cody, to me Cody looks like a 12 year old paperboy...) Mark Henry (I personally think he deserves it, heck, Khali got it for a while...) David Otunga I would also say Shelton, but I think the 'e have killed any chance of the fans buying into that...I hate to say it but I think he will end up much the same as Jake Roberts (minus the demons).
  21. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I guess you didn't read through the thread...
