  1. Card for CWW Summer Showdown Night One:

    FOR THE CWW CHAMPIONSHIP

Lenny Mochin © vs. Leighton Buzzard

Nice chance for Leighton to show what he can do, nice easy win for Lenny.

Martin Heath vs. Curtis Jenkins vs. Padraig O’Hearne

Is that a rocket I see strapped to Martin?

    JK Lee vs. Walter Morgan

JK can take a loss to the incredibly experienced veteran, though he will definitely moan about it.

    Grant Taypen vs. Gavin Owen

Probably? Might be a singles victory leading to a tag team challenge.

    FOR THE CWW SUBMISSIONS TITLE

Neil Warburton © vs. Aurelian Bradley

    Not yet.

Pinfall Peters vs. Jonni Leyland vs. Jon Michael Sharp vs. Glen Ward

    JMS FTW.

Jermaine Granger & The Black Country Boys vs. Lynton Minehead and Cross & Archer

    Do I see some JOBBERS?

Card for CWW Summer Sizzler Tour Night Two:

    FOR THE CWW CHAMPIONSHIP

Lenny Mochin/Leighton Buzzard © vs. Martin Heath

    Let's do it.

Grant Taypen, Jon Michael Sharp and Leighton Buzzard/Lenny Mochin vs. Curtis Jenkins, JK Lee and Padraig O’Hearne

    And why not, indeed?

FOR THE CWW TAG TEAM TITLES

Ward & Owen © vs. The Black Country Boys

    Not close enough, boys.

    FOR THE CWW SUBMISSIONS TITLE

Neil Warburton © vs. Jonni Leyland

He's got a good few matches left.

Pinfall Peters vs. Myles Cross vs. Aurelian Bradley

    Keep building momentum.

    Jermaine Granger vs. Bryn Archer

You know what? Let's do something unexpected.

    Walter Morgan vs. Lynton Minehead

    The veteran schools the youngster.

  2. FOR THE CWW CHAMPIONSHIP

Lenny Mochin © vs. Walter Morgan

I pop for Walter, but his limited psychology never quite let him live up to his full potential. He will put over a younger talent, and give the champion more legitimacy in doing so.

    Sharp & Heath vs. Lee & O’Hearne

This is a tricky one. JMS went over JK, but only by a flash pinfall. Martin Heath is being groomed for a run at the top, but Paddy could easily take over. I think I'll go for the experienced team with the top prospect to win.

Curtis Jenkins vs. Jonni Leyland vs. Leighton Buzzard

I showcase for the boss. Let him and Jonni impart some wisdom to young Leighton.

    FOR THE CWW SUBMISSIONS TITLE

Neil Warburton © vs. Grant Taypen

    Not yet, Pig Boy.

    NON-TITLE TAG TEAM SHOWCASE

Ward & Owen vs. Lynton Minehead & Jermaine Granger

Lynton and Jermaine can keep the champs' momentum up.

The Black Country Boys vs. Cross & Archer

...While the Black Country Boys make a splash with their debut.

    Pinfall Peters vs. Aurelian Bradley

And speaking of making a splash, Aurelian can do good work here as part of finding his new level within the company.

  3. FOR THE CWW CHAMPIONSHIP

Lenny Mochin © vs. Curtis Jenkins vs. Martin Heath

CJ's not going to be the next champ, and you can't win the diversity prize and then take the title off one of the people who helped you win it.

Jon Michael Sharp vs. JK Lee

    He's just better.

FOR THE CWW TAG TEAM TITLES

Ward & Owen © vs. Neil Warburton & Jonni Leyland

    No hotshotting in CWW!

    Bryn Archer vs. Pinfall Peters

Not much attached one way or the other.

    Padraig O’Hearne vs. Lynton Minehead

    Good ol' Paddy.

Fan question for CJ: You did a long stint in America with MAW. Are there any wrestlers from your time there that you'd like to see do a stint in CWW one day?

  4. THE KING OF THE NORTH TOURNAMENT- FIRST ROUND ACTION:

    Curtis Jenkins vs. Vernon George

Should be a good match, but CJ can put people over later on.

    Jonni Leyland vs. JK Lee

Looks like he's on the rise, and good for him if he can make it work!

    Martin Heath vs. Bryn Archer

God, why do you do this to me? I was thinking that Bryn would be a good choice for an upset win, but over Martin Heath? No, I can't make that work.

    Leighton Buzzard vs. Pinfall Peters

I wouldn't be utterly shocked at an upset, but Peters isn't really on the same level.

THE KING OF THE NORTH SECOND ROUND ACTION:

    Curtis Jenkins vs. Martin Heath

He's a rising star, and an old favourite of mine from back in the ROF days.

    JK Lee vs. Leighton Buzzard

You're clearly quite high on JK, so let's give him a shot!

THE KING OF THE NORTH- THE FINAL:

    Martin Heath vs. JK Lee

Okay, let's see if he can carry this all the way through...

    CHAMPION VS. CHAMPION NON-TITLE SHOWCASE

    Lenny Mochin vs. Neil Warburton

It will be close, but the main champ is the main champ.

Lynton Minehead, Jermaine Granger and Myles Cross vs. Grant Taypen, Glen Ward and Gavin Owen

    Judo Chop!

Padraig O’Hearne vs. Jon Michael Sharp

    A simple matter of quality.

  5. Card for CWW The Call to Arms:

Lenny Mochin & Curtis Jenkins vs. Lee & O’Hearne

The Champ and The Boss? Come on.

Martin Heath vs. Jon Michael Sharp

    Talent will out.

    Grant Taypen vs. Glen Ward

Much though I love the Judoka, you don't just job out the champs.

    FOR THE CWW SUBMISSION TITLE

Neil Warburton © vs. Gavin Owen vs. Leighton Buzzard

Neil can go for a good long while.

Cross & Granger vs. Pinfall Peters & Vernon George

What's that I see? Is that a pair of JOBBERS?

    Jonni Leyland vs. Lynton Minehead

    JOBBER!

  6. FOR THE CWW CHAMPIONSHIP

Lenny Mochin © vs. Padraig O’Hearne

Lenny's a solid hand, though Padraig could easily do well too.

FOR THE CWW TAG TEAM TITLES

Taypen & Buzzard © vs. Sharp & Heath

As an old-fashioned Ring Of Fire mark, I have a soft spot for Sharp & Heath.

    Curtis Jenkins vs. Jonni Leyland

    CJ is flatly better.

    FOR THE CWW SUBMISSION TITLE

Neil Warburton © vs. JK Lee

JK's good, but he's not a great influence backstage.

Ward & Owen vs. Cross & Granger

    Coin toss.

Pinfall Peters vs. Vernon George vs. Lynton Minehead

    Why not?

  8. The River City Rumble (Saturday Week 4 December 2020) Streets Beach, Brisbane

Wiiner Enters Rumble Last, Loser Enters First: Smasher vs Surfer Dude Lucas

The Dungeon cheats to get Smasher his victory, and Lucas becomes the underdog.

No DQ Beach Brawl: Dee Lucketti & Ice Ice Davey vs The Bat Men

The Bat Men have failed to impress me.

    Michel Bernard vs Elvis Robinson

Elvis went over Pat, but Michel isn't going to be outsmarted by a rookie.

Diesel Dan vs Whirlwind Lee Wilkes

I don't know who Diesel Dan is, so let's give Wilkes the nod.

20-Man Rumble Match: Australian Devil, Dee Lucketti, Diesel Dan, D-Pod, Elvis Robinson, God of War, Ice Ice Davey, Jesse Tasman, Mauler, Michel Bernard, Moonchild, Pat Rigsby, SLugger, Smasher, Surfer Dude Lucas, Syrus, Toby Tough, Trey Tallman, Wes Schnorfesst, Whirlwind Lee Wilkes

    Winner: Surfer Dude Lucas

Final Four: Surfer Dude Lucas, Smasher, Mauler, Trey Tallman

    Most Eliminations: Surfer Dude Lucas

    Iron Man: Surfer Dude Lucas

  9. BEACH Wrestling on the Gold Coast (Saturday Week 2 December 2020) Mermaid Beach

Gold Coast Heavyweight Title: Surfer Dude Lucas vs Trey Tallman

I don't think this is going to be the biggest hotshot of all.

Australian Devil, Smasher & Mauler vs D-Pod, Moonchild & Jesse Tasman

We need a big Face win to counteract the main event.

    Pat Rigsby vs Elvis Robinson

Elvis is good, but he doesn't have a hard enough head.

    Michel Bernard vs Lee Wilkes

    MB is pretty damn good.

BEACH Wrestling on the Sunshine Coast (Saturday Week 3 December 2020) Caloundra

Sunshine Coast Bubbleweight Title: Australian Devil vs D-Pod

He's flashy and popular, and maybe one day he'll bulk up a bit.

Lucketti, Davey & God of War vs Elvis & The Bat Men

    These guys will be fine.

    Mauler vs Moonchild

    He's so big!

  10. That would be the moves of the biggest workers in the biggest companies, so let's look there.

In USPW, newly-crowned number one promotion worldwide, Rich Money, Steve Frehley and Nicky Champion are Major Stars. The Hawkeye Hammer (clap clap clapclapclap) sounds like something you could chant for, maybe the Bank Roll or Frehley's Comet as well.

In the SWF Remo has The Destroyer, which has to be popular because it's Remo, and the move is called The Destroyer, so it's cool. No question. If Rocky Golden's Rocky Road is the punch to the nuts I imagine it to be, that's definitely popular.

Nobody chants for Tommy Cornell's Rough Ride, because he's too good. The kind of people who love Tommy Cornell don't chant for indie randomers to do his moves.

  11. I love the analysis of the Faces, particularly the differentiation between Lucas as the larger-than-life action hero and Tasman as the man of the people. I hadn't been thinking about them specifically, but looking back, I have had a bit of trouble working out what the specific character differences were.

To go off on a bit of a tangent, I think that this is a factor of how this diary is working as opposed to the more standard format. A written show favours long-form episodic storytelling with detailed character arcs and wordy promos. This is clearly focused on the hypothetical live show experience, where all that storytelling is done through appearances, costumes, entrances and in-ring mannerisms. I like that, it gives the shows a different energy and presents the story of the diary in a different way. Reading this I'm more emotionally invested in the success of the promotion than in the success of any individual star, I'm watching a young business trying to make a go of things. That's fun.

In fact, if you're up for it, I have a suggestion/request. A fan who likes your show is probably going to go on YouTube and see if they can find clips of your stars. You're still so small that a proper camera operator isn't on the cards, but a selection of two-minute promos shot on people's phones just introducing the talent could work. Meet Surfer Dude Lucas, Meet Taniko Jo, Meet D-Pod, that sort of thing. A potential between shows segment, if you've got time.

BEACH Wrestling on the Gold Coast (Saturday Week 2 November 2020) Mermaid Beach

Gold Coast Heavyweight Title: Trey Tallman vs Moonchild vs Surfer Dude Lucas

He's too big, he's too good. Put him on the poster and you will sell tickets.

    Smasher vs Jesse Tasman

Ricky Morton eats the loss to keep the challenge going.

God of War vs Elvis Robinson

The young Elvis shows that he's got guts by overpowering the veteran.

Craig Phoenix & Michel Bernard vs Wes Schnorfesst & D-Pod

A coin toss, but I'll bet on the Heels here.

Pat Rigsby, Dee Lucketti & Ice Ice Davey vs The Bat Men & Toby Tough

Syrus is apparently not being punished as much as I thought, but Toby Tough is the weak link here.

BEACH Wrestling on the Sunshine Coast (Saturday Week 3 November 2020) Coolum Beach

Sunshine Coast Bubbleweight Title: Michel Bernard vs Wes Schnorfesst vs D-Pod

God of War vs Elvis Robinson

D-spite all the odds, D-Pod D-lights the crowd.

    Mauler vs Jesse Tasman

He ate a loss before, but let's not job him out completely.

BEACH Wrestling presents; Inland Stampede (Saturday Week 4 November 2020) Toowoomba

Queensland Tag Team Titles: Michel Bernard & Pat Rigsby vs Jesse Tasman & Surfer Dude Lucas

If the Tag Titles are even more important than your top singles belt, Lucas is definitely not losing.

Non-Title: Dee Lucketti vs D-Pod vs Wes Schnorfesst

The sneaky little shit steals a win.

God of War vs Elvis Robinson

He's huge, he's got to win sometimes.

  12. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BEACH Wrestling on the Gold Coast (Saturday Week 2 October 2020) Mermaid Beach</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

<em>They're huge, a real tag team, and they have a manager who can cheat. Boom.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Dee Lucketti & Ice Ice Davey</strong> vs The Bat Men</p><p>

<em>Syrus seems to have buggered his push.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Let's not be too heavy on the Heel wins.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Craig Phoenix vs <strong>Elvis Robinson</strong></p><p>

    <em>I do love young Elvis.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Trey Tallman vs <strong>Moonchild</strong></p><p>

    <em>Peace, Love and Armbars!</em></p><p> </p><p>

    <em>Same reasoning as before.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Non-Title: Dee Lucketti vs <strong>D-Pod</strong></p><p>

    <em>Prepare to be D-Stroyed!</em></p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>Ice Ice Davey</strong> vs Syrus</p><p>

    <em>Beware, Syrus. You're being punished.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Question.</strong> If you were going to a wrestling show every month, at the same venue, how often would you want to see someone new on the show?</p><p>

<em>Ooh, let's ponder this. If I'm coming back to TRBW every month I'm mostly buying the tickets to see the main storylines progress. I want my recognisable heroes and villains. But I wouldn't pay those prices for just one match, so I want a decent midcard to justify my time.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Firstly, I want to see a match that I haven't seen before every single show. Why would I pay to watch the same show more than once?</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Secondly, I'm not paying to see jobbers unless they're really entertaining. Anyone whose momentum has dropped like a stone needs to really entertain me when they're losing, or what's the point?</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Thirdly, I don't want to see guys who are the same unless they're in a tag team. I don't care how good Wave Rider Luke is, we've already got Lucas.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

So, with all that in mind, how often do I want to see a new face? Let's say... every five or six months, but I don't mind more often, and can go for longer if there are still fresh matchups to make happen.</em></p>

  13. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BEACH Wrestling on the Gold Coast (Saturday Week 2 September 2020) Mermaid Beach</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Queensland Tag Team Titles: The Bat Men vs <strong>S&M Connection</strong></p><p>

    <em>Too big, too scary.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    God of War vs <strong>Moonchild</strong></p><p>

<em>God of War may be big, but he's old and easily gassed.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Trey Tallman vs <strong>Wes Schnorfesst</strong></p><p>

    <em>Skilled, tough and generally good.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Pat Rigsby vs <strong>Elvis Robinson</strong></p><p>

    <em>What's cooking, good looking?</em></p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>Ice Ice Davey & Dee Lucketti</strong> vs Flip & Bounce Buchanan</p><p>

    <em>What's this I see? Looks like a couple of JOBBERS!</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BEACH Wrestling on the Sunshine Coast (Saturday Week 3 September 2020) Noosa Heads</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

    <em>Win it for the little dudes!</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Swinging for the hills seems like their thing.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Ice Ice Davey vs <strong>Moonchild</strong></p><p>

    <em>Groovy.</em></p>

  14. <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BEACH Wrestling on the Gold Coast (Saturday Week 2 July 2020) Mermaid Beach</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Gold Coast Heavyweight Title: Dee Lucketti vs <strong>Surfer Dude Lucas</strong></p><p>

<em>There's no way that you're in a position to crown an Ace, but if you were it would be Lucas.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>As you look to develop your Heels, these guys are strong prospects.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>God of War</strong> vs Moonchild</p><p>

<em>Moonchild is good, but God of War is big and still producing.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Craig Phoenix vs <strong>Wes Schnorfesst</strong></p><p>

<em>The former champ could potentially go through a turn and become a challenger to Lucas.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Ice Ice Davey vs <strong>Toby Tough</strong></p><p>

    <em>Coin flip.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

BEACH Wrestling on the Sunshine Coast (Saturday Week 3 July 2020) Coolum Beach</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Michel can get a nice long run to build up his stock.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>Pat Rigsby</strong> vs Moonchild</p><p>

    <em>Pat could also potentially be a challenger to Lucas. Let's give him a shot.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Also, I love seeing the underdogs rising. I'd see the shift to Tiny as proof that you're not running a fly-by-night operation here that's going to collapse at the first sign of hardship. TRBW could actually go somewhere. It warms my heart to see the incremental progress, people's pay rising, the shows spreading up and down the coast. I love it.</p>

  15. The Brisbane Bash (Saturday Week 4 June 2020) Streets Beach, Brisbane

Gold Coast Heavyweight Title: God of War vs Surfer Dude Lucas

The God isn't anywhere near the Dude's level.

Sunshine Coast Bubbleweight Title: Michel Bernard vs Wes Schnorfesst

Why not give us a Heel Bubbleweight champ to mix things up?

Queensland Tag Tournament Semi Final: Pat Rigsby & Trey Tallman vs D-Pod & Jesse Tasman

D-Pod Tasman are solid performers, and they will do well against...

Queensland Tag Tournament Semi Final: S&M Connection vs The Bat Men

...These guys, who are a proper tag team.

Queensland Tag Tournament Final: The S&M Connection vs D-Pod & Jesse Tasman

When you mentioned having to offer them incentives to get them to come on board, I think this might be the final incentive.

    Craig Phoenix vs Moonchild

Moonchild is cool. Peace, love and suplexes!

  17. BEACH Wrestling on the Gold Coast (Saturday Week 2 June 2020) Mermaid Beach

Tag Tournament Qtr Final: Rigsby & Tallman vs Schnorfesst & Moonchild

    Good-looking guys

Tag Tournament Qtr Final: A Mystery Team vs Flip & Bounce Buchanan

    Never bet against ????

    Dee Lucketti vs D-Pod

D-Pod is a consistent producer, the crowd loves him, and Dee isn't big enough to swing the decision the other way.

Ice Ice Davey vs Surfer Dude Lucas

    Nobody messes with the Dude!

    Michel Bernard vs Toby Tough

Toby has disappointed recently, Michel can go places.

God of War vs Jesse Tasman

The God is a big beast, but Jesse is a top level player and looks good enough to take him out.

BEACH Wrestling on the Sunshine Coast (Saturday Week 3 June 2020) Mooloolaba

Sunshine Coast Bubbleweight Title: Flip Buchanan vs Wes Schnorfesst ©

    Nah.

    Pat Rigsby vs Jesse Tasman

    I just like Jesse.

I also have a couple of contracts expiring. Should I re-sign...

God of War (bad wrestler, poor stamina, but he's muscular, heavyweight, High Experience, Very Warm momentum) YES

Why waste a guy who has a decent upside? You can get a bit more out of him before he's too broken down to use.

Two Face Tucker (bad wrestler, atrocious stamina, Cold momentum, but High Experience & Great Chemistry teaming with Lucketti) NO

Part of the worst match you've put on, all he's going to do is drag down Lucketti. Who else does he have to injure before this becomes a bad idea?

  18. Nothing new at the moment. The last month has turned really crazy, topped off with me having a pretty nasty eye infection. Taking meds and can't wear contact lens for roughly another 7-10 days. Anything over about 15 minutes on the computer causes migraines. I fully intend to complete the planned update as soon as I can once the infection has healed.

    Ouch! Get well soon, buddy.

  19. BEACH Wrestling on the Gold Coast (Sat Week 2 April 2020) Mermaid Beach

Beach Brawl: God of War, Rigsby & Tallman vs Surfer Dude Lucas, Jesse Tasman & Toby Tough

    Lucas is ya boy.

    Craig Phoenix vs D-Pod

Give him a chance to produce.

Ice Ice Davey vs Wes Schnorfesst

Green as grass, needs time to develop.

    Dee Lucketti vs Flip Buchanan

    Continue building up your talent.

    Two-Face Tucker vs Moonchild

    Tucker is hot garbage.

BEACH Wrestling on the Sunshine Coast (Sat Week 3 April 2020) Caloundra
