  1. Seems like we've solved it folks, I'll buy the full version and see how I get on! Thanks for your help! :-)
  2. Match focus is Three Ring Circus, Core/Current product are both Absurdist Entertainment. Three Ring Circus isn't an option in the product drop downs in the editor for me. I've just downloaded the trial version of the game for now to see if I could get this mod working be before I buy the full game (will only be using the game to play this mod as AEW)...that might be the issue!
  3. Sorry if this is a stupid question - First time using TEW 2020 and using this mod. I've just tried to start a game as AEW and the Core/Current product are set to 'Absurdist Entertainment', (Events 50/50 matches vs angles and TV 20/80 matches vs angles) which doesn't seem correct? I've tried downloading both versions of the database and it's the same. Is this an error or have I done something wrong? Could someone point me in the right direction of what the Core/Current product should be set to for AEW to start off? Thanks!
  4. I heard that somebody in an alternate timeline once tried to convert Tony Ferguson's fight style to code and that's what created The Matrix.
  5. I feel like I should check in once a year for the rest of my life to keep the MMA thread alive So the MMA world looks like it *might* be getting back to normal soon. The UFC are selling tickets for the April PPV event, so that's a start! In the UK most close contact sport is still banned, but the company I work for - Cage Warriors - was able to achieve 'elite athlete' status with the UK Government. We've not been able to run shows as normal, but we worked with UFC Fight Pass to put on three 'Trilogy' events in Sept, Dec and most recently last week - Three events on three consecutive nights from within a Covid-secure bubble. Incredibly stressful, prepping for three nights in a row. Plus having to pass Covid tests to even be allowed into the bubble, get three lots of fighters medically cleared and weighed-in etc. Draining too, but so worth it in the end. We're doing another one in June, potentially our last as restrictions are lifted, and it's looking like we may be able to have fans in attendance as well, which will be awesome. Oooh, and I called the Conor McGregor fight for the BBC in January as well, which was a bucket list item of mine! Hope everyone is well!
  6. I had all (I think) of the UK VHS/DVDs releases of the PPVs, pretty sure they all had the original music? Been almost 20 years mind so could be talking absolute rubbish!
  7. As someone who caught up on ECW via VHS and DVD from around 2001 or so (around the time they closed probably), it was a fun ride. I was about 16-17 at the time and very much of the age where I thought I was too old to be watching wrestling, so having something that was a lot more adult orientated was pretty cool. I suppose the worst thing about going back through it all on the network will be the music (and I don't know if they censor some of the more graphic violence/language). Guys like RVD, Sandman, New Jack, Balls Mahoney...their music was such a big part of it. To a lesser extent, even Tommy Dreamer with "Man In A Box" or Justin Credible with "Snap Your Finger, Snap Your Neck"...the songs were so key. Some personal bits from 99-01, which was my favorite period... Awesome/Tanaka Rhyno's monster run Any combination of Tajiri/Super Crazy/Little Guido/Mikey Whipwreck/Tony Mamaluke Cyrus The Virus on comms The Roadkill/Doring tag team The Taz/Awesome ECW title situation that ended up with a Tommy Dreamer/Justin Credible match that instantly created ECW's new most-hated heel. Steve Corino's rise from comedy side show to legit main eventer and *that* match with Jerry Lynn.
  8. Depends what your playing for I suppose. It sounds like they want to play a modern version of EWR, so best to turn that setting off. I'm the same - I don't have the time/inclination to learn how to play games like this 'well'; I just want to play. The EWR setting in 2016 was perfect for me.
  9. Are we talking dream matches that haven't happened? If so... Sting vs Undertaker 1999/2000 era WWF vs WCW vs ECW acronym 3-way dance: HBK vs RVD vs DDP
  10. Simple answer: UFC 248 gate was 15K for $2.7m dollars. UFC on ESPN 6 was 12k for $1.1m. Fight Night 169 was 7k for $400,000. So those are the dollar amounts they're losing for different levels of show. The problem is that they have a complicated broadcast deal with ESPN now. In the US, you can only get UFC PPV if you subscribe to ESPN+ first. So you pay a yearly fee ($5pcm), *PLUS* PPV cost. Obviously this has sent PPV buys into the basement, so ESPN compensates them with a flat fee... However, that flat fee is only paid in full if the UFC meets certain programming commitments, i.e. 40 or so events per year over all ESPN platforms. So the real answer is, we don't know. They're going to try and do 40 live events this year still, to reach that quota. The first bunch will likely be behind closed doors though, so no gate. It may end up being their worst year financially in the past decade. FYI - Cage Warriors have secured a secret, private venue for when the restrictions on travel are eased over here, so we'll likely be doing audience-free shows on Fight Pass before we get back to normal. I wrote about our last show the day before the lockdown here if you're interested. https://www.battlesoflondon.com/features/2020/3/28/the-old-worlds-final-cage-fight Also, here's the two best prelim fights from that event, if anyone needs to scratch their MMA itch!
  11. Yeah it's been a while man... Probably around when WMMA4 launched I think! Still commentating...Cage Warriors (the main company I work for) are now one of the UFC's affiliate promotions on UFC Fight Pass, which is pretty cool. I also got to call UFC London last year, and the BMF title fight between Diaz and Masvidal for BBC Radio/Online. I run a regional promotion in the north of England with some friends too, about to celebrate 9 years in business. Keeping busy! Hope you're good!
  12. Hello mate! Been checking in on TEW on the sly... got another month or two off work by the looks of things so I thought I'd stop by and pick it up Hope you're well!
  13. I've not posted here for years I don't think. Back in for the new game... I'll probably pass the time by eating biscuits...that's what we're all doing in this lockdown world, right?
