1. Is anyone else seeing big discrepancies in contract requests? Running 5 shows a month on a medium sized company (4 tv and one event) and workers are asking 1200 per show on an exclusive handshake but want 21000 or more for a monthly written. Why would I pay 21000 plus when I can sign the for 6000 seems pointless giving any written deals

it a trade off for exclusivity I imagine.. You are taking away other possible sources of revenue that might get working with other companies by offering an exclusive written deal, there for they want to be compensated accordingly for only working for you.

I don't mean to attack anyone personally with such statements, neither Adam - who's doing amazing work with the TEW games for the most time - nor anyone else who was involved with the UI design. 5. I get this sentiment, but obviously Adam wouldn't have to delay the game less than a week before the release if everything was rainbows and butterflies.

    From the developers guide:

"The feedback in general continues to be excellent, with a lot of the testers having said that they can't now play TEW2016 because it's so lacking compared to the new game - which is, of course, what we're aiming for."

"Based on their reactions and my own play tests, I don't think there's any doubt that the game is light years ahead of TEW2016 and will be very well received."

Those comments above don't seem to be the same for most of the people commentating, maybe that has more to do with people are more likely to complain in a beta than praise. Maybe they just have to get used to everything. I am not sure, but obviously something went wrong.

I'm not denying that fact by any means, I just think it so much easier to get caught up in all the negativity that people don't bother to find the positives. . especially on the internet. .

I certainly agree that there are improvements to be made, but people's innate desire to just spew vitriol at Adam and the testers when he has yet to make a game where he doesn't address as many of the complaints as he can..

Some people loved it and a lot of people hated it, but based on his track record he's given me no reason to doubt that he's gonna do everything he can to make it enjoyable for as many people as he can. . It's just hard to comprehend that people seem to choose to ignore that. .

  6. Not to start something, but that seems like what the testers were doing for the last couple of months, because obviously they weren't telling Adam the important stuff that the community has since the release a couple of days ago.

It's also very possible that they genuinely enjoyed the layout and the game as a whole. . as hard as it may be to find through all the complaints about it, there are a few people on here who only have minor complaints, and even some who outright enjoy it with no complaints..

  7. Probably stupid question part 477438 but can anyone elaborate what both numbers mean for each workers skills. Now that there are two and they are color-coded, i was just trying to get some closure on what exactly everything means involving how they work or what they mean.

it's a scouting/pro mode thing. with pro mode on you will never get an exact rating on someones skill just a range, and scouting is the same just the higher they are scouted the narrower the range will be. if you disable pro mode you still have to scout but once they are fully scouted you get an exact number. if you disable scouting it auto disables pro mode and you get the exact rating of a workers skills right off the bat.

  8. His point here is that the game doesn't let you counterbid someone.

If you have someone on a non iron clad contract, people can offer him a written contract/iron clad out from under you, but you aren't allowed to negotiate with the person to counter that person and offer an iron clad yourself. The game wont let you negotiate with your own people on written contracts.

It definitely seems to be a bug to me. as I edited Aaron Andrews and Jay Chords (just to see if it was a personality thing) contracts to remove the iron clad clause started a game and tried to negotiate with them and it blocked me because of their TCW deals.

The purpose it's supposed to serve is if someone wants to leave they can't just break the contract with the clause implemented, whereas without it if you upset them to a breaking point they can just walk out. . or at least that's the impression I got from the playbook. .

  9. Click the yellow text above their picture on the roster screen.

Is it intended that workers can no longer be supporting roles in multiple storylines? I always used stables and had the interference runners as supporting people in the storyline (so it counts as progressing when one of them interferes in a match, since it's stable vs whoever). I've noticed when trying to do that now, the worker is removed from the available pool of people for other storylines. So apparently it's no longer possible to have your midcard champ in her own storyline for her title and supporting on the storyline for the main event champ (or pursuing heel)?

there is a filter on the add worker list that defaults to only showing people not already in a storyline, that might be your issue.

Or can it fluctuate depending on roster changes?

For example, in TEW2016, you have a lower midcarder. But, you add a couple guys with more popularity, so the game suggests that the wrestler is more of an opener after the addition.

New guys coming in won't have a set perception until they appear on one of your shows, but they will just get added to whatever category they fall into without bumping anyone down once they have made an appearance, if I understand correctly. so if they come in as well known, another well known worker isn't gonna get bumped down unless they are booked in a way that would cause them to be. how they are booked will definitely cause their perception to change over time though for sure.

  12. So, historically speaking, does the champion participate in the RCI? I would assume so, but I'm new to MAW.

It's really however you choose, but in my past MAW games I've always treated it as a rosterwide one night tournament that everyone participates in, as well as some COTT loaners of course. . although looking at the title description it's specifically listed as an 8 man tournament. .

  16. It's truly unfortunate to see the rudeness of some people on here lately.

I was never the best when it came to making renders, and the time sink became more than I was wiling to keep up with, hence why I gave it up, but you guys all do amazing work, and knowing the time and effort and money that can go into making these, I think people need to be a little less hypercritical of certain artists work just because it doesn't suit there view.

The great thing about all these guys is that you have options, try not to lose sight of that when you choose to be unnecessarily harsh. You are gifted an enormous variety of renders to choose from and you can use them any way you imagine. If you don't like a certain style there's always other options, all you gotta do is look.

  17. I have yet to run a show. None of my workers have downside agreements but my ledger still shows 2225 in worker costs on the ledger even though the month isn't over. Oddly I also have some values in Merch (gain), Misc (gain), Marketing, Merc (payout), Production and Misc (payout) and I have no clue why?

Cost and gains are calculated each day of the month instead of just the final day. I don't know about PPA deals but I know anyone on a written deal is paid daily instead of at the end of the month as well. Don't know the exact detail of your game but that could be a factor. .
