  1. I second this as hard as I've ever seconded anything in my life. Kobi's legend must live on... and hopefully be canon.
  2. Absolute brilliance, Brashley! You gave me about seven quotable lines that I'm going to have share with a few people. I agree that we all need to put Kobi in our games. I haven't played in a few months but re-reading this thread makes me want to start up again. Adam should totally get the guy in as a permanent character for the next database update (or WMMA4, if/when it ever comes to be). I wonder if Kobi can cross over... I think he'd be damn good in TEW! Of course, Kobi would probably work too stiff and start actually punching everyone in the face for the hell of it, but it would be an entertaining ride for the sold out arenas across the country!
  3. Why did that never occur to me? The only problem for Calinks though is that we won't know Kobi's starting stats, which means our starting Kobi would probably have some inflated numbers. Still, you're right: the editor can tell us Kobi's style and picture and everything else... indeed, we all need a Kobi in our universes.
  4. There is so much awesomeness in that picture that I don't know where to begin.
  5. Amazingly, I think this is the absolute most probable idea in history, ever. Just look at Kobi again. A man who's smart enough to co-main with GAMMA after losing like 8 straight DEFINITELY has smarts to get his hands on a flux capacitor; if Doc Brown can do it with his crazy eyes and "I perpetually look like I just rolled out of bed" hair, Kobi and his haughty face can do it too. Even if he has to settle on attaching it to a Prius instead of a DeLorean, since I doubt his contracts are worth that much.
  6. Holy crap... what year were you in when that happened? I figure it was just a random death, but I'm curious. The only deceased fighter in my universe so far is David Allen, but I've only been playing for a few years. Edited to add: Just as I make this post and start playing again, Elizabeth Lindley died at the age of 30. I think I jinxed it, I shouldn't talk about any more characters dying anymore.
  7. That would be a story Hollywood couldn't write better. Maybe he learned that when he's not talking crap to the media and actually concentrates on training, he does well! Amazing!
  8. Shocking! You know, looking at his numbers over there, he doesn't seem too horrible. I mean, he can't hit anything from standing, but he's not too awful anywhere else. I'm happy for him, and I really can't wait for him to generate in my universe (if he's even going to) to see how he does. Keep us up to date, Calinks!
  9. Heh. In real life, I don't think the fans would be going home very happy. Did your main event at least do well?
  10. I just got Sukarno myself. He lost to Atep of Indonesia for his last match at KDM FC, and under me (GAMMA), he's lost his only match so far against Adenor Togni. Can we say, overrated and overpriced? He's the WMMA version of Chad Ochocinco.
  11. You know, looking at Kobi's fight history, I'm rather amazed that he's only had one fight worse than "decent" critical rating. He might be keeping his job just because he always puts on a show. Maybe he's invented a new ability called "creative bleeding"? Poor guy. This is Glass Joe all over again!
  12. This is less "humorous" than "disturbing," but am I the only one who sees Oleg Tariverdiev's nipple ink and immediately has a flashback to the Janet Jackson Super Bowl incident? Oleg needs some better taste in tat locations.
  13. Come on, Kobi! You can't keep that indignant face expression AND consider retiring! You're just about to turn it around, I know you are!
  14. Keep us up to date on Kobi, Calinks. I'm curious if he'll ever get his first win in your universe... and now part of me wants to sign him. As GAMMA, I had a fighter, Moss Gilbert, whose contract was expiring and I entered negotiations. The negotiations collapsed because, despite his 7-0 record and that I was already offering him $7500 per match, he was demanding a higher win percentage than I'd give him (I was offering 60%). I thought I could outlast him, but ultimately he left, and signed for KDM FC. Less than three months later, KDM FC went into debt, and I bought them, turning them into a feeder camp. I had forgotten about the Gilbert situation until I reviewed KDM FC's roster to see if I should call anyone up and... surprise! He had signed a $2500/match fight with them at a 68% win bonus. You cannot escape GAMMA, Moss, no matter how hard you try... *cackle*
