Apparently they forgot to read the contract pre-phone call, found out that Tebow made money, and wasn't paid in praise, and decided against it. lol</p>
  3. I have never liked the What chant. When Austin did it, or now, never enjoyed it. Irritates me. And in a somewhat related note, I took my brother down to see FCW sometime last year, and there's a tradition there (not sure about the WWE, since I've never been to a big show) when the ring announcer enters the ring, every time the audience goes "Woo!" in a pervy Flair like manner. So we go to the event, and sitting next to me is a 9 year old kid, munching on some candy, excited to see wrestling. First time he hears the woo, second time he matches up why it's happening, and the third time, this 9 year old kid is wooing with everyone else, like a young pervy Ric Flair. To this day, not sure if it's creepy or awesome. lol
  4. Nah, not a turn. An edge, maybe, a hardness, maybe, but not a turn. That's not to say that April 9th, the possibility won't be there, following the pattern of the Rock, when he was booed against Hogan, but right now, I think it's Cena being painted as the champion of the people. (As opposed to the People's Champion.) I have to say though, Cena was really solid. Intense, passionate, honest. And not totally wrong. It's nice to see Cena add that depth. I also find the term camel fur to be more amusing than it should be. lol
  5. Yep, familiar with that feeling. My one time girlfriend let me know that Fillion was her "free pass" as it were. And I've seen me in the mirror, pretty sure if Fillion wanted, he could've stolen her right away from me. Darn good looking men with talent! lol I've seen Bubba Ho Tep, I second that Bruce Campbell can do no wrong. The man is amazing!
  6. I kind of felt the same way, although it was more a "not sure how they can make this scenario funny or intriguing" but the show is fantastic. Of course, now I've jinxed it, since every show I get in on during the inaugural season is doomed to fall to cancellation. (Sorry New Amsterdam. lol) Speaking of shows I cursed ... I still adore Firefly. Then again, I'd be hard pressed to find any situation containing Nathan Fillion that isn't gold.
  7. I'll be honest, knowing that Schilling was involved was my biggest deterrent. Darn Yankee loyalty. lol I'm only 8 hours or so in, but I'm definitely captivated. I'd also add some elements of a single player World of Warcraft to it. It really is a nice amalgam. I bet it wiii-hill!
  8. So I picked up Kingdoms of Amalur what with my love of Todd MacFarlane's art style, and being a huge fan of R.A. Salvatore's writing, and I have to say, I'm really impressed thus far. The game has a nice mixture of elements of Dragon's Age, Elder Scrolls, and God of War at times, and it's a really fluid, immersing storyline. I have little qualms, but nothing major. As an early review, I have to say I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the RP genre of gaming.
  9. Sure `taker won, but he didn't "walk out" of Mania. And the only person to make mention of it was Hunter. The whole streak may be intact, but `taker's gone rhetoric. However, if it was me, I wouldn't make it about Hunter. I'd make it about `taker. HHH walks out last night, next week, it's `taker face to face with Orton. `taker does the throat slash, Orton drops his head, and slowly backs out. Maybe Show or Henry the following week. The story doesn't become `taker's revenge against Hunter running his mouth, it becomes a locker room resigned to the fact that the streak is unstoppable. Until ... the Miz, who exudes the confidence to ignore what has been, and is young enough to believe himself different than the rest. Given the time, and `taker's ability to make Giant Gonzalez look like a threat, it's the perfect platform to solidify Miz as one of those marquee names.
  10. Highlight of my night was commiserating with former Diva Cherry, and a couple of FCW guys about how our cable company is a horrendous abomination of money taking, non-ppv showing sunnamaguns! (Edited for the kiddies, in my head this sentence reads like one long censor beep. Ha!)
  11. I meant the all time eliminations record, which Michaels holds at 41 (I believe). 6 would give Kane 42, ergo the all time record.
  12. John Cena vs Kane With weeks of beatings, and torture, and Cena's new mean streak, it seems poised for Cena to pick up the win here. That is, unless, they go the overtly enraged route, and Cena gets DQed by beating Kane with a chair relentlessly. Daniel Bryan © vs Big Show vs Mark Henry Some kind of sneakiness ensues as Bryan clings to the title. CM Punk © vs Dolph Zigger (guest referee: John Lauranitis) If they give Punk and Ziggler the time and freedom to go, there's no losers. My guess is that this match will follow the pattern of the last few, and Punk gets "screwed" by an early bell. RUMBLE MATCH Winner: CM Punk Jericho's world ending doesn't need to include a victory, Sheamus and Barrett seem to have their own thing going, and Orton vs. anyone bores me no end. Besides, comparing Orton to Austin or Hogan makes me queasy (being a multitime Rumble winner) Longest Time in Match: Sheamus While not winning, I do see Sheamus making a spectacle as some sort of dominant force. Shortest Time in Match: Michael Cole And the wrestling world weeps once more. Most Eliminations: Kane I'm gonna guess that eliminations will be spread out, without a real dominating force, allowing Kane to get his 6 (I think?) to break Michael's record.
  13. The Angle one where he beat up Nunzio? Aww, I miss Nunzio. And I'd forgotten about Ziggles and Orton doing it last year. And it seems JR is enhancing the fallen champ idea as the meaning, since his blog says ... indulge me here ... And I quote: (Excerpt, JR's blog posted today)
  14. Haven't they kept people who have had single matches out of the rumble the past couple of years? It could simply mean that Kane will enter to continue the streak, leading to Cena, leading to the Rock. Or it's possible that Cole enters and breaks Santino's streak. One can hope! Two things I really hope to see this year is a surprise entrance by Rhyno, and Regal grabbing the victory. Neither will, but that's what I want. lol
  15. 12, I think. So long overdue. lol I just hope if the Funkasaurus sticks around, he brings back Lamont!
  16. I think everyone has missed the biggest question to come out of Monday Night Raw in a long time ... not how genius is Jericho with the direction of his reemergence, not how awesome that both Edge and the Horsemen are inducted (although I would've liked to have seen Arn alone, or with Tully, instead of the entire unit, but I understand why), or even why Brodus looks like a rap mogul, and Hawkins had a pimp cane ... The question we all need to ask is whether or not someone called Ernest Miller's mama, `cause that's what Brodus' song was all about.
  17. That's not true ... he came out to dramatically pause ... and then leave.
  18. Didn't Ziggles take a shot at Ryan last week, when verbally sparring with Hugh Jackman?
  19. Not sure it is, I had assumed it was, due to early promos. I assume it's two different things now. The Colorado Kid (Haven) was good, though, although the two have no bearing on each other. I think "based on" just means set in the same place of, in that case. And if you do watch Castle, I recommend the books that go with that. The Nikki Heat series that has been released to correlate with the show are great, and the comic that Marvel just put out was a stellar read, albeit quick.
  20. The pilot seemed very X-men meets primetime hospital drama, but as the season has progressed, I've found it to be deeper, I suppose. And I had no clue that Gary was British. That's kind of wild. And I do watch Louie and Wilfred, which are both awesome in their own way. I just missed the boat on SoA, and have yet to retrack to catch up on it. The new show you're thinking of is American Horror Story, although the original promos had me believe it was based on a thriller novel, about a psychotic serial killer who would do his crimes in a latex outfit, thus leaving no evidence. (I haven't read the book, but I want to. lol) And I saw someone mention Psych ... along with Castle and Community, Psych is the best show on television, in my opinion. And this season has Danny Glover and William Shatner? Yes, please!
  21. Halloween guests for Raw As much as I like the Muppets, and I do ... something about Kermit making a match because the Miz mocked him that just seems inherently wrong to me.
  22. My poor DVR is gonna have a workout tonight. Between the trio on SyFy (Eureka, Warehouse 13, and Alphas, which has steadily improved after the pilot), the roast of Charlie Sheen, which is must watch if only to hear Mike Tyson tell one liners, and the return of Castle (which may be the best 1 hour dramedy on television today), I am going to be busy. To anyone who can, and has not yet done so, I highly recommend seeing Castle ... if for no other reason than to bask in the glory that is Nathan Fillion. I'm kind of sad I missed the SoA bandwagon too. When it premiered, I'd kind of walked away from Rescue Me, as the show had become somewhat convoluted, and seemed to lose direction, so I missed a lot of what FX was offering at the time. Might need to go back and remedy that at some point.
  23. `at's the one, yeah. I remember watching it when it first aired, and being insulted ... although I don't know if it was because the show felt I wasn't smart enough to pick up on what they deemed secret, or if it was because the physical aspects were brushed off as playing in your back yard. Probably some combination of the two. When I watched it last night, the biggest thing I remember (besides going "whoa, that's Harley Race!") was the small kid, Slither (who allegedly was Chris Daniels, but I doubt it), kept flopping his feet whenever he landed, and I kept thinking "shouldn't his feet be flat when he bumps?" Didn't find out until just now, which is what prompted my posting it here, that the Pitbulls from ECW, and Mike Modest were on the show as well.
  24. So, technically not WWE related (although it does include hall of famer Harley Race, Nick Patrick, and allegedly, Del Wilkes, who was the Patriot), but last night, I got to watch the classic special that aired in 1998 entitled "Secrets of Pro Wrestling Revealed" last night. I have to be honest, I kind of forgot just how bad it was. It was less revealing secrets, and more wrestling for dummies, however ... the costume design was fabulous. It's good for a laugh, if you have an hour to kill, too.
  25. There's an interview from ... I think it was one of Cena's DVDs, where HHH said that Cena asked him what he thought of his (Cena's) work. And according to HHH, he told Cena he was terrible. It was supposed to show how he'd built himself up through hard work and dedication, I think. I would've expected him to use Daniel Bryan as an example, though, considering the whole "if he's the best in the business, why doesn't he work for the `E" comment that Hunter had made on some radio show.
