What are some good introductory angles/storylines for new promotions? I like starting my own new companies, but my games tend to lose momentum fast because all the old school angles I like to run don't really make sense with an unestablished roster. Any suggestions for good starting angles to use with a new company would be much appreciated.

Random request, but does anyone have a golf club prop compatible with TVerse portraits? I have a guy who's perfect for the frustrated golfer gimmick but he needs to be holding one and everything I've tried on my own looks like crap.

El Hot Dog, and POW! in general, is what sold me on the Thunderverse. I also really love PWSUX even though I never really knew how to book it longterm.

I'm running a touring, CHIKARA-like comedy promotion (ZEN, cribbed from the Cornellverse) and we hit Cult level after I gamed the system a bit and started a subscription network service. I'm having a ton of fun, and somehow made Blue Man and Benny Soul two of the biggest drawing stars in the Thunderverse - they've since been poached by AWF, of course.

It's a toss-up between "stop trying to make fetch happen with lucha libre death match promotions in the US - they barely work in Mexico" and "look, you have to choose between running a hardcore promotion or a comedy promotion. You can't do both."

Does this thread have any tips for running a PWSUX game? I really want to like them, and I like that edgy ECW-ish product, but most of their interesting talent works for AWF now and all but one of their current main eventers are assholes. What advice do y'all have for sustaining interest in PWSUX?

I'm a big fan of old (as in 1980s) NWA Mid-Atlantic and Memphis TV, which was primarily built around really short squash matches. Is there a way to structure TV like that in this game without totally tanking overall show quality/rankings?

Awesome! I have a similar T-Verse parody promotion called WHAT, and had a diary going for a little bit until my save file got corrupted somehow. Most of the roster are parodies of other, more famous wrestlers in the T-Verse.

I've been meaning to ask, where did your avatar come from? I love it and I've been wanting to use it in a private game, but I can't find it in any of the alt threads.

I'm changing things up a bit and running a local-sized promotion owned by 13TEEN, using EEP's product in the Southwest USA region. It is by far the most fun I've ever had booking anything. I'm mostly using luchadors and putting them in hardcore/gimmick matches, with a couple of hardcore/brawler types in there to put on wild brawls. Sugarskull, Special FX (working as Soldado Estupendo, or Super Soldier), B Smooth, and Gold Phoenix are giving me B-grade matches in my main events, and guys like Super Azul are actually developing into decent talent. The only real downside is that 13TEEN's personality is a cancer in the locker room, but still, I'm having such a good time with this, and the Thunderverse in general. I'll never use another mod, I don't think.
