Might seem like a big ask but could we get a nerf on some of these ex-ufc fighters/independent (Micah Miller/Cody Mickle) who arent necessarily super active anymore.
Id also love to see just a bunch more current day local level fighters instead of some of these guys who havent fought in 5-7 years. I dont even care if you just take replace the retired guys with real people and put them in the game with minimum knowledge of their skills.
Totally understand if this is super reaching! Ive tried to do it myself a bunch of times but yeah

Agree! Much smoother and faster. Getting the balance right was an issue early but Im ok with that stuff right now.
Same boat. With TEW2016 and TEW2020 side by side there is just no way im opening up TEW2016.

We focus so much on the product. But honestly, Products that work are always built around THEIR STARS!. Hulkimania was built to condition an audience to enjoy slow-paced storytelling that favored him. Austin's Attitude era was perfect for his trash brawler, foul-mouthed character. Where it falls apart is when the the cart is put before the horse. Or in the situation we have now, where we're squabbling over cart designs when we have no horses to pull them.
AEW's biggest failing is that they don't know who their top guys are or how to build shows to a Main Event. Frequently the first match on their show is the best one. Because they want to make everybody special. And therefore nobody is.
Goofy, not goofy. Aliens, no aliens, Serious or not. What wrestling is, and was trying to capture, is the "big fight feel" of Boxing, MMA, and Old Time Carnival fights and streamline it for an audience in a way that can be controlled and replicated on a more consistent basis.
You see that blonde-haired doofus in my avatar? She's what a star is supposed to be. She fought almost 20 straight times, and I got goosebumps everytime she came out. That's what a star should do in wrestling. Irregardless of how good they are, what their body type is, what they say, or do. If they walk out of that curtain it's special.
How many times have you had that feeling in wrestliing in the last 5 years? That's really all I have to say. This is about building matches and storylines to that point. And other than big dome Okada matches, and Cody vs. Dustin. I haven't had that feeling at all. I mostly watch hoping that it will turn around. I tell myself that wrestling is cyclical. It will always turn around, and it's gonna be great.
PRIDE was there for the merger, UFC got me through the Cena years. Now where do I get my next big fight fix? Orange Cassidy matches? The guy with his hands in his pockets? Double or Nothing seems like a lifetime ago.
Wrestling has changed my dude. Plenty of other stuff in the world to watch. MMA events weekly. Not happy? start your own organization and im sure youll have plenty of success considering you know exactly what to do.

I personally HATE Jim Cornette. BUT my god some of you guys are so temperamental. Why cant we have a thread where we can discuss what we like or dislike about a person without getting so butt-hurt about somebody elses opinion. Im truely confused if any of you are over the age of 15+.

Also i never get much use out of Robbie Retro the gimmick just stops me from pushing him but i wrote him off with Brandon James injuring him and had Mikey Lau educate Robbie Retro for months the goal would be to change his render to one of him with a martial arts look as Robbie Ronin.</p><p> </p><p>
Im just enjoying getting as much usage out of the roster as possible and im a big fan of making sure everybody has something to do</p>

They need to get better at recording the crowd noise. They were definitely reacting but it sounded really quiet. MJF's promo stood out for that, because he was reacting to things I couldn't hear. He talks really well, but I don't think this was his best promo. He's coming off a little fake to me. I don't buy that he's rich. I don't buy that him and Cody were friends. I like Cody when he's real, and there are elements that hurt that (Brandi's nonsense too)..
From what ive seen MJFs character has always come across that everything he does is fake and everything he owns is fake, but nobody knows who the real Maxwell Jacob Friedman is because esentially hes just this fake character all the time. (if that makes any sense) I think they main thing were meant to think when we see MJF is Fake.

Finally have television again, and the first thing the missus found to watch was AEW. So we caught up on the last three episodes. The first time I've watched a full episode of wrestling television since... maybe when Impact stopped being an hour? Possibly Dragon Gate.
How do you find such a women!!

NWA Power - Episode 6 (Rant)
For me, NWA just gets worse and worse. This is by far the worst episode ive seen of NWA, maybe wrestling in general.
The talking segments are so overdone and everything said in a segment this episode has definetly been said before. Being apart of the studio audience for all these Talking segments would make me want to shoot myself.
NWA is the home of the Squash match and i have no problems with squash matches but when theyre every single episode i pray for a skip button.
NWA has shown me that whatever format of wrestling this is, it is SUPER boring.
Also, is there anyone on this roster I am meant to root for or is everyone meant to come across like a douchebag.
WTF happened at the end? I love storylines the most and NWA has 0 interesting stories.

This may come as shock to you but I am a huge sucker for the trademark DDT/Chikara spots like a hand grenade or pause button or Ibushi Vs Yoshihiko the doll or the original 24/7 belt, the DDT Ironman HW champ hijinks. Also, I don't even hate Joey Ryan or his Dick flip, though re-reading my comment it can certainly be interpreted like that.
I like wrestling cause it can be anything you want it to be.
My point was that WWE or IMPACT still serve as gateway point for the wrestling globally. AEW is still finding international deals and NJPW is yet to actually expand globally. Things like dick flip or hand grenade are going to turn people away before they even begin to like wrestling and be dismissed or viewed as something stupid.
These are 'meta' spots, hence they serve the hardcore fans and hence they are generally spotted at indies and shouldn't be seen on any of the name promotions. That's all.
But isnt wrestling stupid? I mean basically everyone where im from finds it incredibly obnoxious and wouldnt have a bar of it. Its wrestling where do you draw the line at ridiculous and normal? The irish whip will forever be the worst move in wrestling but i love it.
