BBCF files editing: Access Using Open Office?

 

I don' have MS Access but I do have Open Office which apparently does work for editing Access files. Hopefully someone here can explain how to open and edit the BBCF stats.dat (or is it the pstats.dat file I need to mod?) using Open Office. I can't figure it out

 

I would like to create a totally custom BBCF league with custom league sizes and schedules and custom team names.
