  2. I want my product be based on a hard-hitting heavyweight style, similar to the NEVER Openweight scene in NJPW with guys like Jeff Cobb, Shingo Takagi, Tomohiro Ishii, Minoru Suzuki. What product would that be in TEW terms?
  3. <p>The NJPW World Broadcaster seems to be a bit too small in size/coverage. For Dominion (one of the biggest shows in the NJPW calendar) I've had around 10.000 subscriptions when in reality NJPW World has around 100.000 subscriptions.</p><p> </p><p> Two things I suggest:</p><p> - increase size, especially in Japan</p><p> - set coverage to everywhere in the world (no reason for some areas not being able to subscribe). I live in Central Europe and I can subscribe to NJPW World.</p><p> </p><p> Would increasing the size of the network generate too much income for NJPW and thus throw off financial balance in the game?</p>

Would be nice if TEW could give us one more option - something between 'Lesser' and 'Tour' (maybe being able to book 'Throwaway' shows would do it).</p><p> </p><p> Also it would be great if TEW had the option of weight restrictions for events to replicate something like NJPW Best of the Super Juniors or WWE 205 Live.</p>
  5. Running into a problem when playing NJPW: The smaller shows (e.g. Kizuna Road Day 2) are set as 'Tour', thus they won't be televised at all, not even on NJPW World. In reality all shows are shown on NJPW World but the game doesn't let you put 'Tour' shows on TV, only 'Normal' and 'Lesser' shows can be shown on TV. This leads to 2 possibilities: - simply accept that all those 'Tour' shows are not on TV, even though they are in real life. - change all 'Tour' shows to 'Lesser' shows, which would make them TV-eligible. Any other solutions to this?
  6. I experimented a bit with the AI booking of lesser/tour events in NJPW: - "All 3 vs 3" / "All 4 vs 4" / etc. seems to work as intended and keeps the overall grade down in the 75-80 region - "Main Event 3 vs 3" / "Main Event 4 vs 4" doesn't seem to work, AI still books singles matches with top guys in the final 2 or 3 matches - Any sort of Brand Split doesn't work, as the AI immediately cancels the split Conclusion: For the moment, it seems the only solution is to set all lesser/tour events in NJPW to "All 3vs3/4vs4/5vs5/". For some events (e.g. Best of the Super Juniors or New Japan Cup) this doesn't make sense, as the entire reason of the event is to hold singles competition (AI books the entire BOTSJ tournament in a single event). But for some events (e.g. all the "Road to..." events) it would be the best option to set them to "tour" and either "All 3v3" or "All 4v4", maybe the occasional "All 5v5" or "All 2v2" sprinkled in.
  7. Maybe it would help to add the note "Main Event is 3 vs 3" to all NJPW lesser/tour shows? If we can't stop NJPW from using their top guys on these shows, then maybe we can restrict them to using their top guys only in those multi-men matches? Undercard would consist of some tag and one-on-one matches and the main event would be 3 vs 3, basically the other way as it is in real life. Not sure that's a solution but it might be a small improvement. Nerfing all their top talent is probably not the solution, as it takes realism away from the mod (which is probably not what you're aiming for).
  8. When AI-booked, NJPW needs some tweaking to the AI-booking of their minor shows. Even shows like "Best of the Super Juniors Day 13", which is a minor tour show for them, gets great ratings because they use all their top stars in singles matches for the show. They have Okada vs Tanahashi in the main event and Jericho vs Suzuki in the co-main-event for a Best of the Super Juniors Tour show (where the real-life main event would be something like Hiromu vs Ospreay, at best, and if Okada/Takahashi/Jericho/Suzuki would appear at all on the card, they would be in underneath multi-man matches). Is there a way to replicate the NJPW style of booking for their lesser/tour shows? On TEW they consistently offer big singeles matches for lesser/tour shows. In real life they would "save" those matches for their big events and their stars would only appear in multi-man matches during those lesser/tour shows. This is not just a cosmetic issue, it has real impact on gameplay, as lesser/tour shows for NJPW are consistently rated far too high (because they're using their top stars in a way they should not). Not sure if it's a mod-specific problem or just a TEW-specific problem. It would probably help if TEW gave us the option to add weight limits to shows (e.g. only maximum Lightweight can appear on this show).
  9. Taiji Ishimori is under exclusive written contract with NJPW for $0 per month. Surely a mistake as I can't imagine he'd work for free.
  10. Looks great so far. Just one minor thing: I started a test-save with NJPW and noticed Hiromu Takahashi is set as my #4 "Franchise Player" (in the creative department), thus indicating he's the #4 guy in all of NJPW. While Takahashi is a great Junior Heavyweight, that seems to be a bit overrated. He isn't really a main-eventer (yet), so he shouldn't be listed ahead of guys like Minoru Suzuki, Jay White or Ibushi. To solve this, I'd recommend decreasing Takahashi's popularity in Japan (maybe globally?) by around 6, setting him from 71 pop (Japan) to around 65. Gronk still has the WWE 24/7 Title, maybe we should just vacate the title, since it hasn't been defended since Wrestlemania (early April)???

It is not perfect and there are a number of things I want to improve upon personally or add to it.<p> </p><p> The issues is that There are about 300-400 workers without pictures and a couple companies without logos. </p><p> </p><p> I personally like to release with as may pictures filled in etc as possible because I hate the little blue guy, so I am throwing it out there, I can release a beta 1 without all the pictures and logos etc or I can wait what will likely be a week or so and release beta 1 once the pictures are in place?</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> In my opinion you should release the beta now to give people some time to play around with it and find potential problems/errors/mistakes in the database. Something like a beta-testing phase. Then once feedback has been provided you could use that feedback to improve the database in a week or so, which might be enough time for someone to come up with (some of) the missing pictures.</p>
  12. Can't wait for this to be released. My favorite times in wrestling...
  13. I like the philosophy that skills shouldn't be inflated like in other mods (e.g. even average workers have a ton of 80+ skills). But in your mod even great workers like Okada or Jay White are capped at 70 in all the primary skills. Why should someone like Okada, who is generally seen as one of the best technical wrestlers in the world today, not have a 90+ rating in "Technical"?
  14. Why not just bump WWE to 80-82 so they have a little room to drop without going back to medium instantly? I am in no way a fan of WWE and I despise their current product. But they still are by far the biggest company in the world, so they should have at least 80 pop IMO. Other than that, I think this is one of the most realistic real-world mods out there. Played the demo on this mod as MLW and really enjoyed it. Some smaller things I noticed (might be nitpicking): - Penta El Zero M is not a toned Lightweight (he's developed quite a belly). I'd consider him flabby Lightweight - some of the MLW workers have Experience at 0 even though they're in the buisness for 3/4/5 years. - some of the American NJPW workers have very low pop in the USA compared to some of the independent guys. If Tama Tonga decided to quit NJPW and come to the US, he'd probably be one of the top indy stars right away. But he only has 23 pop in the game. The same applies to Juice Robinson (30 pop in the US) and to a lesser extend to Zach Sabre and Will Ospreay (even though they're not American). - Dominic Garrini (MLW) is set as he can't play legitimate gimmicks, yet he plays a MMA fighter IRL. - Jacob Fatu (MLW) is set to have offbeat/unstable gimmicks as both, good and bad. That's a contradiction. - Rusev's name is probably WWE-branded. He should go by his real name in the database. These things I noticed are in no way meant as criticism. I'm just trying to help making the mod even more realistic.

  16. <p>What's the difference between "Cruiserweight" and "Japanese Junior" wrestling styles?</p><p> </p><p> In my current save, Austin Aries has switched from "Regular Wrestler" to "Japanese Junior" style. I'm contemplating putting him into my Cruiserweight Division.</p>
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Fleisch" data-cite="Fleisch" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41205" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>So that POP idea didn't work as TNA still make revenue off their other TV deals in game, and still make a $300,000 profit each month and that's without running a PPV as I set them to TV Orientated as a test. I could say that POP are not Pro on having wrestling on their network (apparently that affects how much they give the company? I don't know - I'm just experimenting here).<p> </p><p> Simming TNA in TEW is a near impossibility without having to do things that mess up the rest of the game world, something i'm not willing to do for WWE so I'll be damned if I'll do it for TNA. I will have one more attempt (it involves them being less over in the USA than UK/Europe - which they are if we're honest). If that doesn't work then people will just have to deal with the fact that TNA are not going to be losing money like in real life every month.</p><p> </p><p> Either way, I'm not spending any more time on TNA after today as I want to work on different mods.</p></div></blockquote><p> I think it could be done with narratives. These can be set to hurt a specific company (TNA) financially at a certain point. You could just set some narratives that hurt TNA at some points in the first couple of months/years. I think Genadi did something like that to simulate WCW & ECW losing a ton of money in early 2001.</p>
  18. Any ideas for a good name for my tag team of Davis Wayne Newton and Nelson Callum in SWF?
  19. Any chance someone could make Jay Chord and Davis Wayne Newton with a Raven-style look (Raven in WCW around 97/98)???
