  4. Just.. Wow. it was the last thing to expect for Machida vs Rockhold..

Yea. I was sure Rockhold would just be a worse version of Weidman but he actually proved me very wrong. Great ground control and good GnP. Machida seemed to be completely out of it in the second so no surprise it ended there! Weidman will still blast through Rockhold. Maybe it's time for Lyoto to start the true later part of his career and look for good fights and forget the title picture. Shame really.

  5. Am I the only one who thinks that the Silva/Diaz fight sucked? The fight was only carried by Silva's "overness" and Diaz' ridiculous antics that got the Brazilian portion of the crowd riled up. Two great strikers (at least before their long lay-offs) squared off, but still neither one of them landed any significant strikes that threatened to finish the bout. I'm extremely disappointed.

Had this been a fight on the undercard between two much less popular fighters, they would have booed the crap out of them. In my opinion, this was the worst ppv main event in the last two years (that's how long I follow the sport).

Well, Silva is a known counter striker and Diaz of course knew not to engage too much and get countered. This seemed like a great fight on paper but this should've been guessed to happen when the fight was made. I wonder if Joe Silva plays WMMA

  6. Holy moly, what a fight. Didn't expect that for sure. Well, Jones vs. Johnson should be a good one for sure. Also, if Gustafsson ends up fighting Cormier that will be one helluva fight as well.

You're absolutely right. Johnson has some serious power in his hands and I think he can give Bones problems if he gets to tag him like Cormier did. And yeah, Cormier vs. Gus would be pretty darn interesting fight to see.

  7. Started my own company in Europe and now I'm in 2003. Started with older version so haven't checked the era changes but you meant the only era to end in 2001? (Or whenever it was). Of course the newgen fighters helped run my company as Europe has quite a low fighter amount to this point, but maybe you should regulate the flow more.

If you need help with attributes or something else, just PM me. I have free time.

  8. History of Professional Wrestling

    Prologue

It's the year 1908. The world is changing at a quick pace and with it comes new sports. One of those sports was Professional Wrestling. A 35-year old man named Hiruzen Aoki was the one who decided to start the whole business. One cold sunday morning in December of 1907 he was watching sumo training at a local training ground when he saw something that changed his whole life.

Two of the wrestlers were practicing their skills in a small spar where they told what they were going to do next. Hiruzen got closer to the wrestlers and watched them closely. That was when he saw his future. He wanted to create a new sport which would be scripted and would feature realistic action.

A few weeks after the happening he decided that this is it. He set up Japanese Championship Wrestling and this is the history of JCW and the rest of the modern wrestling.

(OOC. So yeah. I decided to do a TEW 13 diary after finally buying it. I couldn't decide which promotion to play so my choice was to create a watcher game right from the beginning.)

    ------------

    Chapter 1. Settling In

    1.1 The First Ones.

In the beginning of the 1908 Hiruzen Aoki began to advertise his upcoming business and by the end of March he had already gotten a roster of ok wrestlers. They were young and interested in the sport and they would be the true pioneers of Professional Wrestling.

March turned to April and Aoki thought it was time to have the first event. It was called JCW Strength Test. The show only drew 18 people to the crowd but it was seen as a complete success. JCW even crowned champions at the event and so we had the first champions in the business. Here is the card in full:

    JCW Strength Test

    Location: Gunma Hall (Kanto)

    Attendance: 18

Ryoichi Hyata went to a double count out with Kyuso Mashita (27)

Satoya and Nobunaga defeated Nakada and Marubeni for the JCW International Tag Titles (30)

Kyushichi Kawai defeated Hiruzen Aoki for the JCW Triple Crown title (42)

    Show Rating: 37

After the show Hiruzen Aoki had a small interview in the local newspaper where he advertised their next event and gave a brief description about Professional Wrestling. This was the first time Wrestling was talken about in the media. People saw Aoki as a fine young man with a dream and the interview gave a brief boost to the company.

However the buzz about JCW calmed down before they held their next event. They continued from where they started and held shows monthly for the rest of the year.

So, what do you people think? What could be done better?

  9. This is one of the threads I've been waiting for. I have to say that your text was great one for anyone who wants to get into puroresu. I myself watch a bit of puro and the latest one I watched was DDT Special 2010. When I first began to watch puro I really didn't understand a bit but nowadays after watching a lot of animes and everything other Japanese I've actually began to understand the promos etc.
  10. Just watched the first wrestling show in years... And I chose that it would be the newest iMPACT. In overall it was OK even though there were some awful parts.

Karen Jarrett sucks big time while I noticed that RVD and Mr.Anderson somehow have a bit of chemistry. Loved to see Matt in the TNA as I loved his Youtube videos. I might even watch TNA next week...
