  4. <p>Hey guys. So as posted in the Thwarted Plans thread, my "World" title plans just got scuttled by injury and I'm looking for some input. It's currently December 2020, with my Season Finale show not until June. The biggest event in the meantime is in February, the Rip Chord Invitational, which the winner gets a title shot at the Season Finale (usually). Here are my 4 candidates to win the belt at the next show:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mobstar</strong>: Usually pulls the best ratings of the show, 2 time champion under a written contract. However since dropping the title, he's been staying out of the main event scene more. At age 34, if he starts slowing down, he might start going towards the Grand Slam next (he needs 1 midcard title & the tag titles).</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Steven Parker:</strong> The former champion, he's the oldest candidate at 36, but also pulls match grades at Mobstar's level (low-mid 80s match performances). Part of 6 of the company's top 10 matches despite only having been around for about a year and a half.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Lenny Brown:</strong> On the rise, loosely associated with a pair of youngsters that could become a stable (Fro Sure & Bret Heartbreak). Just signed a written contract to stay instead of going to TCW. Hasn't been champion yet. Match performances tend to be in the high 70s to low 80s.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Aldous Blackfriar:</strong> The new top ranking member of Scythe's heel stable, The Black Night. Autopush puts him at Upper Midcard, but the endgame of the Black Night story would have had him beating Scythe for the belt and taking control of the stable. He's definitely the lowest on the totem pole of the 4, but has some story claim to the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

    Thoughts, opinions, ideas?</p>

  5. <p>My company is drifting towards stable warfare, so just putting out some feelers for potential stables, depending on who I sign:</p><p> </p><p>

*A "former SWF/big league guys" stable led by Steven Parker (also feat. Lenny Brown)</p><p> </p><p>

*A luchador/masked worker stable led by either Soul Taker or El Mitico Jr (also feat. Hurakan) (Soul Taker might join my big heel stable instead)</p><p> </p><p>

*A Japanese worker stable feat. Blast Ikoma, Funakoshi & Danjuro Kikuchi (also maybe Bunrakuken Torii, but he's been mostly fighting Ikoma & Funakoshi rather than teaming)</p>

  6. <p>Trying to figure out how to book a specific match & finish to get it roughly close in the game. The match:</p><p> </p><p>

Cage match, Steven Parker vs. Aldous Blackfriar (w/ Scythe, Jimmy White & Prometheus)</p><p> </p><p>

Parker clearly outclasses Blackfriar in the ring, goes to leave the cage but Blackfriar's cohorts won't let him down. Parker chooses to jump from the top of the cage, only to get caught. The 3 foes beat up Parker outside without his feet touching the ground. Eventually, he gets slammed through the announce table, with the ref ruling that his feet touch at that point (Parker wins via escape), except for they don't really, they're on top of all the table rubble. I'm thinking </p><p> </p><p>

    Parker Wins</p><p>

    Escape Finish</p><p>

    Interference x3 (Parker getting attacked)</p><p>

    Screwy Referee Finish</p><p> </p><p>

Is there something I'm missing, or a better way to do it? I'm willing to make a custom cage match if I need to</p>

  7. <p>Coming off the Sam Keith Classic X (in 2020) with some storylines starting to come together for the upcoming year:</p><p> </p><p>

Mobstar & Gram Gorman teamed up to knock off tag team champions The Diamond Dogs (Jimmy Stratosphere & Motty Kuroda) in the finals of the Classic. I don't think Mobstar & Gorman are going to remain a team, but Mobstar is my #1 guy in terms of match grades and Gorman is working his way up the card after runs with both midcard belts.</p><p> </p><p>

Also appearing for the first time at the Classic was new debut Prometheus, part of Aldous Blackfriar & Scythe's new stable, The Black Night. Scythe also took champion Steven Parker to the limit on the same night. The Black Night is going to be a big focus this year (the Classic takes place 2 months after my season finale event), with Blackfriar (currently an Upper Midcarder) vs. either Mobstar, Scythe or Parker penciled in as next year's Season Finale main event.</p><p> </p><p>

In the meantime, The Black Night will be feuding with Chris Caulfield's Heart of Honor stable (also feat. Jeremie Courtney & a couple young regens). Prometheus destroyed Kal Mitchell (a regen, great SQ but bad stat caps on top row means I'm cutting him loose), so it'll be 4 on 3 for a bit while I decide who else to add to Heart of Honor, or dissolve them altogether. Caulfield's time decline is pretty brutal (11 years in), he puts on performances in the 20s at this point, but has 2 protoges on the roster, and excellent chem with Courtney, so I want to keep him around as long as possible.</p><p> </p><p>

Another stable feud is brewing between PGHW regulars group PRIDE (Marvel Malloy, Ray Snow, James Diaz & Sterling Whitlock) and high fliers The Highlight Reel (Jacob Jett, Sonny Wildside & Devyn Reynaud).</p><p> </p><p>

Another worker making a slow push toward the main event is Bunrakuken Torii who came over when I bought out SAISHO a few years ago. He's currently an upper midcarder and gaining popularity a bit slower than I'd like. The current plan is for him to retire Soul Taker (who is in decline, but not as bad as Caulfield, just 5 years) who is around to share some overness until he's no longer putting in good performances.</p>

  8. Am I the only one who thought Super Showdown was terrible? Sure some of the wrestling was good, but from a story perspective, literally every face or hometown hero won their match, which basically just made it feel like a glorified house show. Which is a lot like how Beast in the East and Greatest Royal Rumble felt. I'm really starting to get annoyed with how WWE books these big foreign events to be some big deal and then throws mediocre product on 'em.
  9. <p>Started a new SWF game with the rules I was given in the other thread. First show, I ran a North American Title match between Joey Morgan & Joe Sexy, with the plan being Paul Huntingdon attacking both men and the match being thrown out. The road agent notes:</p><p> </p><p>

    Open Match</p><p>

    Huntingdon attacks Sexy</p><p>

    Huntingdon attacks Morgan</p><p>

    Outside Interference Finish</p><p>

    Sports Entertainment Finish</p><p> </p><p>

Apparently I also had to specify a draw because now Joe Sexy is my North American champion. Oh well, I had nothing for him and now it's a triple threat feud.</p>

All 4 titles changed hands at Night of Champions, with reigning Rip Chord Invitational winner Mobstar dethroning Scythe to become the first 2-time North American Champion (and make himself the first worker to get suggested when I run a HoF check), Heart of Honor (Chris Caulfield & Jeremie Courtney) knocking off The Good Ol' Boys for their first Tag Title run, Aldous Blackfriar winning a 6-way match to take Gram Gorman's Hardcore title, and Bunrakuken Torii ending Jimmy Drake (Drake Young)'s 20 month Pennsylvania title reign. Also Steven Parker made his debut after SWF released him, Nate DeMarcus won a Battle Royal to become #1 Contender to any non-ME title of his choice (it'll be Pennsylvania), and The Diamond Dogs picked up another big win, as they knocked off The Highlight Reel (Devyn Reynaud and Sonny Wildside).<p> </p><p> From here, we go to ECZ Uncensored, which I'm not exactly sure what to do with, then from their to the Sam Keith Classic, which will be the story of The Diamond Dogs coming full circle, from coming in from SAISHO (which I bought out 15 months ago) and struggling in the ECZ style to being one of the premier tag teams in the company.</p><p> </p><p> We're closing in on Cult level status, currently 46 popularity across the US, and only running monthly events in a Graveyard slot on MySelectUSA Pay Per View. This month's event is called Ultimate Challenge and booking it certainly feels like it.</p><p> </p><p> Steven Parker received my first Written contract to keep him away from SWF shortly after he won the Rip Chord Invitational to earn a title shot at Night of Champions. Mobstar has been champion since he won the belt at Night of Champions last year. Parker's actually cashing in his shot this month, because Mobstar is currently the subject of a bidding war between me, SWF, USPW and NOTBPW. Rather than risk having a vacant belt, Parker's going to win the belt 2 months early, and if Mobstar resigns, then the rematch will be the Night of Champions main event.</p><p> </p><p> I already lost 1 bidding war, the cost of missing stuff when coming back to a game after a bit. Half of my tag team champions, Toyokuni Hardcore of Blackout Club, is on his way to the land of Supreme after this show. This is where I'm having my biggest dilemma, do I also go 2 months early with The Diamond Dogs ascending to the top of their division, concluding a 2 year storyline rise? Or do I put the titles on The Good Ol' Boys, who are more over and make them 3 time champs, only for the Dogs to take the belts later? To be determined...</p><p> </p><p> Only one of champions are still the same since last year's Night of Champions, with Aldous Blackfriar having an easy time as Hardcore Champion. No one in particular looks to be taking the belt from him any time soon, and as our product shifts slightly (more towards Cult from Hardcore), I might retire the belt, or change it.</p><p> </p><p> Gram Gorman is still going strong as ECZ Pennsylvania Champion. I think he's going to drop the belt at Night of Champions to either Jimmy Drake, who would become the first 2 time champion, or one of El Mitico Jr or Frankie-Boy Fernandes, both of whom are potential rising stars if I can find a spot up the card for them.</p><p> </p><p> I took the Pennsylvania title off of Bunrakuken Torii in an effort to move him up the card. He was the runner up at the RCI, and is scheduled to face Chris Caulfield at Night of Champions. He is one of my top 2-3 in-ring workers, and if his popularity can match, he, Mobstar, and Parker should be able to carry me through Cult towards National.</p><p> </p><p> I brought in Soul Taker and his high 80s overness for a bit, but his match ratings are lower than I expected for his stats. After he puts over Scythe at Night of Champions, he'll probably be angry and want to leave, and I'm not giving him another bonus (he got a big one to lose to Steven Parker in the RCI).</p><p> </p><p> I'm also thinking that after this year's Night of Champions, I'm moving to 2 shows/month. I don't want to go to tv yet (booking weekly tv slows down the game too much if I'm not doing it from the beginning) but 2 shows/month is a good compromise to start.</p>
  13. So I'm running a watcher game with the old GDS-Verse after I converted the 2013 data to 2016. At the end of year 5 (2013; the mod starts in '09), I'm scrolling through the news when I see something I've never seen before:

    J8nJrc3.jpg

That's the head referee of the No. 1 company in the world spilling the beans on the drug culture backstage. The 12 "fallout" headlines following it are him developing negative relationships with the wrestlers he named... and they're some of the company's biggest stars.

Funny I was browsing here, saw this and that's the first time I've seen the whistle blower thing. Then a few days later in my game, less than an hour later, and this happens:

From here, we go to ECZ Uncensored, which I'm not exactly sure what to do with, then from their to the Sam Keith Classic, which will be the story of The Diamond Dogs coming full circle, from coming in from SAISHO (which I bought out 15 months ago) and struggling in the ECZ style to being one of the premier tag teams in the company.</p><p> </p><p>

  15. <p>I need a tag team name for 2 regens in my C-Verse game. Both are big guys, one American (Krusher Karloff regen) and the other Japanese (Boss Kotaku regen, but using a free render). They're both going to be working a Biker gimmick. I'm looking for something that implies a Japanese connection but sounds like a biker gang. The closest I've gotten so far is Eastern Sky Yakuza but that sounds heelish and neither one is a very good heel.</p><p> </p><p>

    tl;dr</p><p>

Face Tag Team (both awful heels)</p><p>

    Biker Gimmicks</p><p>

Looking for a name that mixes Japan with Biker Gang</p>

  16. <p>Just ran my biggest event of the year, and apparently I decimated my roster. Mobstar, Ekuma, and E-Z were in my Hardcore Title match, Nate DeMarcus was in a tag match (alongside Cali Slick vs The Good Ol' Boys), and Swipe Romero was a 1 night signing to fill out a 2v2v2 tag match.</p><p> </p><p>

Ekuma tore a rotator cuff and he's out a year. DeMarcus is also out a year; he tore an ACL. Also out a year is E-Z with a Herniated Spinal Disc. Meanwhile Mobstar is only hurt for 6 days with a Whiplash Neck Strain, and Romero returns to the ranks of the unemployed with a Bruised Kidney.</p><p> </p><p>

    <img alt="ArcQO5H.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ArcQO5H.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

EDIT: Between injuries and a TCW "Return to National" signing spree, my active roster went from 35 guys to 28 between this show and my next monthly event. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

EDIT 2: Surgeries abound for the injured workers. Nate DeMarcus is now only out 5 months after a complete success, while another success reduced Ekuma's recovery by 2 months. Unfortunately, E-Z lost 2 more months after his surgery had complications.</p>
