  1. Finished my first year of my backyard wrestling federation, Haunted Wrestling Federation (it was a joke name and I never thought I'd post about it lol.) I started using the Psycho Circus product, before it ended up getting bought by The Wolverine who switched it to Deathmatch. It was mainly an experiment but I'm getting pretty attached to it, though finding wrestlers willing to wrestle in deathmatches on a regular basis is pretty rough. I'm currently running one monthly event and we're still in the red. Popularity is 2 in the Tri-State area. Humble beginnings. We ran a round robin tournament for the top title, Prince of Hell, which was won and is currently held by Knuckles. Everything else is still in development. I'm trying to run some storylines for Cip Conduit and Dead Man Walking since they're being real crybabies about their momentum. I might try them out as a tag team and if that works build them up that way. My top five right now are: 1. Steph Blake 2. The Silencer 3. Knuckles 4. Ruby Reece 5. Kid Fantastic (Integrated women's wrestling btw.) My self-made avatar character, Mr. Dark, is basically a jobber at the moment. I built him using Road to Glory guidelines so I'm just trying to get him in matches with people who know what they're doing to build up his skills. The only other interesting thing to happen so far is that The Wolverine has taken Jerry Pepper under his wing as a protege and has been teaching him the ropes. Next year I'm going to try to start working on some storylines, which is simultaneously the part I find gets me most invested in a playthrough but the hardest for me to come up with so I end up with a lot of "best of 3" storylines. I miss the old days of the scripted storylines in TEW lol.
  2. I just got TEW2020 and I'm doing what I always do whenever I'm checking out the newest iteration of the game - start as the booker for the smallest company in the world - so I started a ZEN game. I'm mostly finding my way around the UI, learning what's changed, and getting things rolling.
  3. Year 4 - finally hit regional! The war with the other Australian federation hasn't amounted to much since we blew past them in size (we're currently the largest Australian federation). I've tried to engage with it some by hiring their talent when the opportunity arises but usually that means passing up on better talent so I'm trying to strike a balance. We're starting to hit D shows which is cool. I should probably clear some cruft from my roster and hire some better talent but I'm always really reluctant to do that and try to fill spots as they open up organically. I'm still working as a midcarder. I think my mistake was starting with a 0 star power. It grows so slowly compared to everything else and seems to be a major consideration in who should be a main eventer. Current title holders: Global - Leigh Sampson Arena - Spaceman Dacey Tag Team - my character and Rhys Youngblood My random event - "The Real Rock n' Rolla". I gain some microphone and charisma and I'm now a musician.
  4. Year 3, still working as a midcarder in a small Australian federation. We're starting to hit D- shows and I'm really hoping to hit regional at some point in the next year or two. Current champions: Global - Kai Drake Arena - Josh Haze Tag - still Luke Santamaria and Einar Ironside. It changes now and then but always comes home to them. Random event - war is good for business, so we're declaring war on another small Australian fed. That should be interesting.
  5. <p>Coming up on year 3 of my real world, easy mode (infinite money) RTG inspired playthrough. I'm still working at a small Australian, daredevil focused promotion. The last year was rough. The high daredevil meant that every show has two people out with injuries from the last show. I've had to expand the roster to make sure that we have coverage when there's injuries which I avoided for a while, but it had to be done.</p><p> </p><p> Last year's viral internet sensation, Josh Page, has become the big draw of the fed. He's our top star, but due to a tendency to botch moves has injured nearly every other wrestler in the federation and now everyone hates him. He's feeling really isolated from the rest of the roster, and he might not stick around for much longer. But in the meantime he's become our most prestigious Global title holder, hanging on to the strap for 41 defences.</p><p> </p><p> My character is still working as a midcarder. His skills are improving and he puts on D- performances which are the best the fed can manage really.</p><p> </p><p> Currently Gabriel Wolfe holds both my Global (main event) and Arena (midcard) straps, and Einar Ironside and Luke Santamaria are my tag team champions (with some title changes since last year.)</p><p> </p><p> This year's random event gives my character a +5 to psychology from his training.</p>
  6. <p>Made it through the second year of my game. I ended up taking a job at a small Australian promotion as a booker which was rough. It took a while for the federation to build some momentum and for the wrestlers to get popular with the crowds (in part because of my own error in not checking all their dispositions so we debuted with almost all faces, lol) but by the end of year 2 things are finally shaking out.</p><p> </p><p> Bishop Sommers is our reigning Global Champion and Spaceman Dacey holds the Arena Championship. Tag team champs are Einar Ironside and Luke Santamaria. I'm just working as a midcarder after a brief stint as a main eventer, though that was a fluke because I was the only working heel in the fed. I keep applying for jobs in Japanese regional feds as they open up but no luck so far.</p><p> </p><p> Last years random event was a total misfire. I took a bonus to my Brute performance stat but I lack any of the other stat requirements for Brute gimmicks. Whoops.</p><p> </p><p> For this year's random event, one of my wrestlers Josh Page became an internet sensation which gives the company, and him, a boost.</p>
  7. How long should you spend building up a turn to avoid the shock penalty?
  8. <p>I'm doing a Road to Glory inspired game (though since I always go bankrupt when I try I've just ignored the financial element altogether) in TheWho's real world mod, and started a local federation in the tri-state area. Jim Cornette took over, and what transpired from that point was quite the shitshow. I hired a lot of wrestlers who were free agents from WWE - Ryback, Eric Anthony, and Bill Morrissey, and the whole crew turned backstage into a toxic nightmare.</p><p> </p><p> The first year was nothing but backstage fights, people showing up to work late or on drugs, and bullying the other wrestlers. I didn't want to fire them because continuity of the storylines and whatnot matters to me, so I tried to deal with it with scoldings and fines as needed.</p><p> </p><p> This worked in a way, because eventually all three of them got angry and left one after another and since then there's been a huge turnaround and things have gotten to a good place.</p><p> </p><p> Our current singles Champion is John Hennigan. I'm working on developing some tag teams but probably won't make too much progress until we're a small federation.</p><p> </p><p> My avatar is an upper midcarder currently running a gimmick as a dark cultist, but the random event I rolled just increased his Brute performance by a significant amount so I'm probably going to be transitioning him into some type of Kane-like supernatural monster.</p>
  9. Aand we went bankrupt, and unfortunately there's only one local fed in the game who has no interest in hiring me. Guess I restart and look up some tips on running local feds.
  10. <p>2020: I started a game with TheWho's most recent real world mod and played a character based on me but half my age. I'm still booking my starting fed which I've stuffed with the cheapest local talent I could hire. We still have yet to turn a profit, and as the rookie midcarder I've been jobbing to everyone in the federation nonstop. My highest rating of the year was an E- match against Maria Maria.</p><p> </p><p> Then I ate too much Christmas pudding and now I'm a light heavyweight.</p><p> </p><p> The End of Year Awards for 2019 were:</p><p> Wrestler of the Year: Hiroshi Tanahashi</p><p> Tag Team of the Year: Austin Creed and Kofi Kingston</p><p> Young Wrestler of the Year: Dragon Lee II</p><p> Veteran Wrestler of the Year: Tomohiro Ishii</p><p> Female Wrestler of the Year: Meiko Satamura</p><p> Independent Wrestler of the Year: Stu Bennett</p><p> Company of the Year: NJPW</p><p> Match of the Year: Hiroshia Tanahash defeated Kazuchika Okada by DQ </p><p> Card of the Year: WWE Hell in a Cell</p><p> Manager of the Year: Paul Heyman</p><p> Announcer of the Year: Shinpei Nogami</p><p> Colour Commentator of the Year: Arturo Rivera</p><p> Referee of the Year: Tiger Hattori</p>
  11. I prioritize seniority over pretty much anything else. Industry veterans get the big pushes over everyone.
  12. Running a local promotion out of the Tri State area, and just ran a tournament to crown the first champion, and it's Jack Swagger working an adult film star gimmick (getting by the best he can lol).
  13. <p>I just started a new game with TheWho's Feb 2017 mod, slightly modified so that the entire world adheres to the young lion system (just because I think it's cool and interesting).</p><p> </p><p> I started a local traditional puroresu federation that has gender integration (a weird combo I know but I'm being experimental here:cool:) based in the Tri-State area. A single elimination tournament was held to crown the first federation champion and Amazing Kong won. She's had a few title defenses since then and has successfully held it, though she's starting to get offers from competitors so I might shift the belt to someone else.</p><p> </p><p> The current event my federation is running is a round robin tournament with a maximum weight class of lightweight. Becky Bayless is currently leading in points. The tournament's been plagued by injuries, probably because my avatar wrestler, Mr. Dark, who's a high potential, low-skill scrub is participating.</p>
  14. I built an integrated federation from scratch using TheWho87's mod. I'm fudging on money, but running a new fed has been nearly impossible on my other attempts and I'm having a lot of fun. I've made it to small size, and Sonjay Dutt is my current champion. It's been running for a while now, long enough to have Hall of Famers, who currently include Amazing Kong, Angel Williams/Angelina Love, Brian Myers/Curt Hawkins, and Dutt. The whole thing is built around the idea of "what if a wrestling fed had rankings like boxing" and I only book outcomes when a wrestler asks for a push. That worked just fine for a while but eventually my wrestlers kept getting booked against the same opponents over and over so I still try my best to stick to the rankings but book them against the closest opponent that they haven't wrestled recently. Current top five are: Sonjay Dutt The Latvian Proud Oak JTG Brian Myers Amazing Kong The Latvian Proud Oak is up there against all odds. He asked for a push ages ago and still lingers up there winning matches despite only being a midcarder. He's hugely over with the crowd so good for him. My current goal is to push Talia Madison/Velvet Sky because she's suited to be my company figurehead but needs more momentum. Going to give her the strap as soon as my booking rules permit.
