1.
At this point, I don't really see myself giving 2020 another shot even if there are more changes to come. The game felt too restrictive and the UI unintuitive, it would also take me about 2 to 3 times as long to book a show in 2020 as it does in 2016. So 2020 has had it's chance and I've decided to delve back into my saves in 2016 and don't really want to drop them again to give 2020 another shot just to potentially feel like I wasted my time.

I had trouble getting into the early versions of TEW as well and stuck with EWR until 2008, so it may just be that with the overhaul it will take a few versions before it's in a position where I can get into it. And that's fine because 2016 is a great game which I felt didn't need much improvement.

 2. The only time I've seen an alliance title show up in my promotion's titles is when I've borrowed it for a show. If that's not the case here, it might be a bug.
 3. I generally struggle to book companies outside of Japan, but I've always had a soft spot for MAW's old school product.
 4.

Honestly, I want to play it a bit more realistically. But I dont want to be doing something (like using touring shows) when theres such a clear better option with no downside. I'll have to try myself probably to swap Normal Intent shows for Touring Intent shows. Perhaps the game is challenging enough this time that actually having Touring Intent shows to take it easy are useful.

I decided to try something different than Elim Garak just so we have some reference points:

<img alt="d7682431a2712e9e097e65d2bff3a85e.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/d7682431a2712e9e097e65d2bff3a85e.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Emperor Choice could also have 25% revenue but paying 52K per show for Early Evening. Idk how good the finances are so went with the one I dont have to pay.

I had to raise music to major licensed to this btw, and thats 100k per month,

Aichi Im not sure if its more profitable than Japanese Sports Vision 2 yet but it is bigger and has a 45% revenue split with low demand (31) and easily renewable I imagine. I put King's Road on this.

Emperor Choice wanted a guaranteed 12 events per year which is easily doable with the PGHW schedule. If touring intent actually has value and isnt just a self-restriction, then Ill grab another deal with Aichi and air my bigger "touring" shows there (mostly tournament stuff).

Just curious, does that mean that touring shows can still be broadcast in full? Had gotten the impression it was only highlights shows. I immediately switched to a regular schedule and outside of the weekly King's Road tv show, I just let house shows represent those throwaway tour shows, so I've not really played around with the touring schedule.

Would be nice if in a future TEW tour shows were all just treated like house shows but with the option to select specific dates to book as slightly bigger tour shows which can be broadcast on. The smaller shows could perhaps be broadcast too but only on company owned broadcasters.

 5. The problem is you're only rating on overness. Something interesting needs to happen for longer angles (5 minutes or over I believe is the cut off point) so you need to have somebody rated on entertainment or fighting. You can still run overness angles if they are kept shorter.
 6.

Yes that's the way i would book it. You can do a title match the month later, a filler title match against an opponent who has beaten the champion in the tournament. The Elite Series winner can challenge the champion at Night Of Glory, which is considered as an historic event.

If you looking at the G1 f.e. it's the biggest show of the year besides Wrestle Kingdom, so you can see it like that as well. Night Of Pride = G1 Finals, Night Of Glory = big Tokyo Dome or Osaka show.

This is why I always change things up so that Night of Glory is the season finale. I like to book a year leading up to somebody winning the Elite Series (which I book in a round robin format like most big Japanese tournaments in real life) and then getting their big title shot at our finale.

 7. Just completed Night of DESTINY and I'm going to stop there as I don't want to start the Elite Series and have to wait for the full release to continue it. Switched to a standard schedule rather than touring, as I can never be bothered booking multiple shows a week outside of tournaments, and revived The King's Road TV show on Aichi. So far making steady progress in growing popularity and we made decent money the first month so I got a few more guys tied down to exclusive written deals. Only downside has been that the top guys haven't grown in populariy and now Ugaki & Jimbo have dropped in perception to merely Stars. Which only leaves Kawashima as a Major Star so now we're getting penalties to attendance.
 8. At the moment 2016 feels like the better game for me personally, but I'll keep playing the demo for a few more days before I fully make up my mind. Just a combination of some annoyances are putting me off right now: the scrolling issues (hopefully will be fixed) the default skin not making anything look very clear (fixed with custom skins) moving segments on the booking screen requiring me to follow the segment as I move it up to keep clicking rather than select a segment and click a single stationary button products being so rigidly defined and the effects they have the perception system doesn't feel as useful to me as the old push system There's probably a few other issues I'm not thinking of too. The last couple I could probably adapt to, but the others just provide a cumbersome experience for me.
 9. Definitely the promotion that interested me most when I started up the trial. Both NOTBPW and CGC had slightly underwhelming rosters in 2016 IMO, mostly due to aging main eventers and not much talent directly below them. CWA still has a lot of guys near the top of the card who are aging, but it feels like there are a number of younger options who aren't too far off reaching the upper levels. I think I'm going to book them like I would a performance company (including removing the strict adherence to face / heel splits), just with a few more promos thrown in. In terms of booking ideas, I'm thinking of having Knight lead a group of future stars who think it's their time to shine while Vessey feels they're trying to push him aside before his own run at the top is over leading to him forming a stable of mostly bitter veterans to oppose them. My only concern at the moment is the women's division. Usually I have to either book a promotion that's entirely women's wrestling or the division becomes a bit of an afterthought. Looks like it will have to be a fairly big focus for CWA to be successful though.
 10.
Will be keeping my 5SSW save going. I'm 4 years in and J-Ro's Entourage faction has really kept me invested in it where my previous attempts at running 5SSW have failed. That faction has just about run it's course though, but since we're now number 1 in Japan and number 3 worldwide, I really want to find a way to continue with this save.

Other than that, towards the end of any TEW game's life cycle I like to start saves using fantasy scenarios within the C-Verse. Shortly before the TEW 2020 announcement I started a BCG save with a hefty bank balance just so I could buy out GCG after the tsunami crippled their finances and run an invasion storyline. 3 years into that save and it's been a blast and I keep coming up with new ideas to keep me interested.

A couple of weeks ago I also started a save using the WWA dojos being tied to corresponding promotions in their regions and all part of an alliance. WWA: USA is a low cult level promotion with the others are regional size development territories so I can rotate guys through the various rosters. Almost finished the first year and it's been awesome, with Buddy Garner doing a great job of carrying the company as world champ for the entire year.

 11.
I didn't even realise losing hair would be a problem, thought it was just because of mask prestige that I was encountering issues having somebody unmask. I did get Frederique Antonio Garcia to agree to lose his hair recently so there are some wrestlers who will agree to it. Maybe personality plays a part in it?

The available commentators in Mexico at the game start is really awful, so getting Prieto in will be a huge upgrade for you. The best I've been able to manage so far is Ana Garcia when SWF let her go. A step up from Ruiz but obviously not anywhere near the level of Prieto, but her existing experience with Peter Michaels is quite useful.

 12.
After my hard drive died and I lost all my original saves, I've been bouncing from promotion to promotion struggling to get started. Eventually tried OLLIE and I'm having a blast with it, even though I normally only book performance>popularity companies, and I'm now 1 year in. This thread has been quite useful in getting into it too.

We hit cult a few months ago just as the industry was peaking, and only suffered losses of $20-30k for the first 2 months before making profits of $150-350k since, which was great since I hadn't built up that much money beforehand, and that's with a bloated roster of 60 wrestlers. Only lost Nicolas Lopez to SOTBPW when I started offering out written contracts, so used that as the catalyst to pull the trigger on Gino Montero taking the title from Hijo Del Mephisto which has seen his popularity sky rocket. Had him drop the title to Silver Tiger at the end of the year which will be the cause of a heel turn for him and a bloody feud with his brother, before regaining the title in July and defending against a bunch of new opponents.

I've had to limit our size to cult for the moment as we rapidly approach national, as SOTBPW and USPW would both destroy us right now. But at the rate everyone's popularity is growing right now, it might not be too long before I can take them on. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

By the way, how often do you all run matches with mask/hair on the line? I wanted to try and use these as big feud enders, but I ended up abandoning it completely when El Ciritico refused to unmask on even OLLIE's biggest shows.
