The only reason they did that is for the sole purpose of putting a babyface in the match to make it a 3 way. Either that or Orton turns babyface for some odd reason, which doesn't make sense if it happens without Triple H turning on him to give him some sympathy. If they don't do something, It'll be an epic 15 minutes of people chanting random stuff like they were at the Rumble during Orton vs Cena. <p> </p><p> <strong>I expect Raw's ratings to get a decent bump this week since the internet actually believed Punk was returning tonight.</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You are over estimating the size of the IWC. The IWC is about 10% of wrestling fans the rating my increase like 0.02.</p>
  2. I've honestly liked TNA more over the last 2-3 months more than I've liked wrestling of any kind in some time. The last 2-3 weeks have just been great though, so much that I've stayed away from spoilers.

The build of new stars is going great in TNA and something WWE really needs to take note of, I actually care enough about the characters to watch and enjoy their matches, while I can't even watch WWE any more it's beyond boring.

  4. You know, it's surprising people think that I think that WWE is going well. I don't. I hate its direction of much as TNA's. The difference is, TNA has the right idea, but going the wrong way about it. WWE has the wrong idea, but they know what they are doing, and they execute it well.

As for the product, it's not that TNA has no talent. It does. But its management and booking team absolutely sucks. Seriously, Dixie Carter doing management, and Russo doing booking has been an absolute disaster together.

For my life, I can't see how people enjoyed Hogan's recent stuff in TNA. It makes him look bad, he makes TNA look bad, and it looks pitiful. I almost feel sorry for him.

He dont look half as bad as Bret Hart :p

  5. TMZ.com broke the story on Monday morning that former WWE superstar Dave Batista is becoming a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter.

The 6'5", 290 pound Batista was in Hollywood over weekend and told TMZ that he's headed to the Strikeforce MMA promotion, home of another former WWE superstar, Bobby Lashley.

Batista even told the TMZ camera guy that he already has his first fight lined up, but can't comment on it just yet.

There have been rumors for months that the 41 year old Batista would be following in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. Now, its official

So how do you thinks he's going to do? I for one think that age is not on his side here but wel see what happens.

  6. a two and a half hour ppv???????? ok not cool

    But

What was up with cole? they don't show him getting hurt but he is all of a sudden sitting in a chair and king is saying somone help cole. whats that about? And the crowd at the end chanting danial bryant is great.

    and shamaus!!!!!!!!!! wins yes

When Edge was throwen into the annouce table he landed on Cole it looked like so I'm pretty sure he was legit hurt.

  7. Yeah or Striker did his job and acted shocked. You know I can't even remember the last time we had a "shoot" in wrestling. Something that got on live television that wasn't atleast 90% worked. Even the Russo/Hogan deal at Bash at the Beach was planned Russo is said to have taken it too far though. Maybe the Heyman deal on TNN?

I thing the Samoa Joe Promo on Hall at a TNA PPV were Hall didnt show was a legit shoot I could be wrong but it seemed legit

  8. Eh, not liking this card at all but I'll throw in my two cents for predictions.

RVD over Styles. I don't agree with RVD winning the title early at all and I think it was very poor booking to something that should have been a first time dream match. Think about it, how many times has RVD vs. Styles been included on dream cards all these years? Wasted opportunity, I believe. But in any case, they may as well run with it for now. Have AJ get into a few upper-card feuds while RVD has some fresh title feuds with the likes of Mr. Anderson.

Sting Vs. Jarrett... I don't even know. Nor could I possibly care much. It's not that I hate Sting or Jarrett, I don't, but this feud just doesn't interest me in the least. I still think Sting is a very weak heel and I've been having a hard time taking him seriously for awhile. Jarrett, while I consider myself one of the few that actually enjoy him, has just been bland. I thought him and Foley had potential to be some sort of rebellion, tweener veteran outcasts but ever since Foley left, Jarrett's just been bland.

Williams vs. Kaz, I see Kaz winning. I'd love to see Williams win since I think he's one of the more interesting people on the X-Division roster and he really breathes life into it, but I think this just adds closure to the match I think Williams was supposed to lose last month anyway.

Tag Title match I see Ink Inc pulling an upset. I don't care who wins though as I really don't like either team. What does TNA see in Jesse Neal? Why is Shannon Moore constantly being pushed? I don't think Moore is bad, but I feel he should be putting guys over in the X-Division. Him getting all these title shots is random as heck.

Knockouts I see Rayne winning. Knockouts need a shot in the arm, it's getting pretty redundant now.

Pope runs in and costs Anderson the match. Hardy goes to King of the Mountain, Anderson takes on Pope next month.

Terry vs. Jordan... again, couldn't really care. Don't like either. I think Terry is extremely overrated. Not as bad as a lot of people say he is, but has no business holding the second tier title either. Then again, neither does Jordan. I see either Terry winning by DQ or Jordan doing something freaky to cause Terry to get rolled up. And then, of course, this feud to... *sigh* continue in some very gimmicky match next month. Furry handcuffs on a pole, perhaps?

Abyss vs. Wolfe.. *sigh*. Well obviously I'd like to see Wolfe win. But I see Abyss taking this one as well.

Three way tag I see Beer Money winning and moving on to feud with Ink Inc.

He's more over than you think with the fans I was at a show not long ago and he got the biggest pop during a three way tag match that envoled team 3D and The gunz the crowd goes crazy for this guy live and I think there doing the right thing with his push but I dont understand Moores push although I do think INK INC. is a pretty good team

  9. No... just... no... and spell check...

By YOUR logic, TNA is bigger then WWE because WWE doesnt average 10,000 for a house show. I hate TNA fans SO much.

And I'm not a WWE fan. I like all wrestling equally (even TNA). It all has ups and downs. But why do TNA fans feel the need to always say how good they are and not just except reality?

TNA is the second biggest company in North America. correct. But are they anywhere near the level of WWE? no.

WWE TV gets 15,000 (give or take) PAID through the door. TNA TV gets 1500 FREE through the door. So TNA is 1/10th the size of WWE in that sense.

TNA PPV gets around 35,000 buys (for their big ppvs) (and some are WAY lower then that) and WWE gets "low" 235,000 buys. So TNA is 1/6th the size of WWE there. And thats not measuring against the 1,000,000 or so that get Mania (WWE's biggest PPV) which would make TNA 1/28th the size of WWE.

All you are allowed to measure is TRUTH and FACT. This isnt Fox news with hypothetical, fantasy, & opinion.

Whether TEW terms apply or not is really the thing that should be debated. But being as this is GDS's board they do. Drawing 1500 people is cult. DEAL with it.

No where in what I said says that TNA is bigger than WWE I know that isn't true I like WWE too but some are just to stupid to understand some things but I'm not talking to you Mr.Canda

  10. ^^ The problem with TNA. they came to Oshawa (Toronto basically) and did 1500 and thought that was so good they would come back and do a PPV. And they gave tickets away for that house show.

When ROH comes to town, they do about... lets seee... 1500. I guess they're national.

No what it is is lack of advertiseing if they did that properly they could get depending on the place 5 to 10,000 people at a house show easy and I hope thats something Bischoff we help TNA out with.

  11. Here is what I would like to see

    John Cena V. The Rock

Rock is more open to a wrestling return then he's been in a while

    World Heayweight Championship

    Taker V. HBK

    Rematch and another MOTY

    The Unified Tag Team Championship

Drew McIntyre and Sheamus V. The Hart Dynasty

One of the three Vince V. Bret matches

    Chris Jericho V. Edge

The Second of the three Vince V. Bret matches with Jericho turning face to be on Brets side sense he trained in the Dungen

    MITB: Rey/CM Punk/Benjamen/Hardy(Matt)/American Dragon/Borne

    Kofi Kingston V. John Morrison

To be name the first Unified Inernational Champion which takes us one step closer to no brands.

    WWE Championship

    Randy Orton V. Triple H. V. Booker T

Booker returns at the Rumble and starts a feud with Orton which Triple H gets involed in and turns heel ending up in the match.

  12. Really? That's all I want from a wrestling show! Sure this week's show didn't have much in the "serious" wrestling department, but it sure was entertaining! But Condors, if you want serious wresting, allow me to recommend Puroresu or ROH. Because seriously, WWE and TNA is more entertainment than seriousness.

I completly agree, IMO TNA is doing pretty good at it right now
