  1. The simulator just introduced a few custom leagues and tournaments. Some of them are like UEFA Nations League that has the knockout stage, while some are like domestic football leagues where the team finishes on top is declared the winner.
  2. I just made a new World Cup gauntlet challenge mode, where one of the 20+ classic national teams will face off against all 220+ national teams at the end of each World Cup. These classic teams include England 1973, Poland 1974, Mighty Magyars 1954, USWNT 2019 and Bulgaria 1994.
  3. Thanks for the compliments. I've made some updates in the past few days, like the news feature and adjusting teams' long term development. As for English leagues, probably not in the foreseeable future because too many things are hard-coded for the World Cup. Updated: I just added a beta feature to show disallowed goals due to a rigged system.
  4. Made a few updates since this thread. Teams may now boycott the World Cup if it is hosted by their rivals, like Ukraine vs Russia, Israel vs Iran/ Palestine, US vs North Korea.

If your browser can handle it, you can simulate hundreds of World Cups without any issues. The results are primarily calculated based on Elo ratings, along with other attributes. After each match, the Elo rating is updated. There are also several dynamic elements such as rivalries, incidents, and group dynamics. Teams can rise or fall in performance.   6. After playing for several years I've noticed that Japanese / Australian companies seldom hire new foreign workers. They usually hire foreigners that are already located in Japan or Australia. I think it'd be nice to have unemployed workers relocate to another country (active area) instead of just within a country for more working opportunities around the world.
  7. Is it possible to have an "auto select valid targets" button during a battle? Some heros can select up to 10 targets so such button would reduce the number of clicks.
  8. I'd like to see more information for the past issue section. Show the pictures of all involved characters with links to their profiles instead of just the full picture of the featured character. Show who knocks out who in the issue description. (Would be interesting if there is a way to find out a character's battle result against others, like the match history section in TEW. ) Also, in the "relationships" section on the character profile page, is it possible to open the related characters' profiles by clicking their names?

  10. Just a heads up. I've been using Wine to play TEW2020. Yesterday I updated it to 7.14 and scrollbars have stopped working in some panels. I had to downgrade it to 7.12 to get it working again.   11. I hate to see some of my mid 40s workers unable to work more than 6 minutes without penalty because of poor stamina. I hope there is a "talk to worker" option to ask an old worker to temporarily boost his stamina a little bit. Of course, like the stop smoking option, the worker has the rights to ignore my demand.

  14. Patch Version 1.29 Can regen workers enter the game world via training facilities like new workers do? Some say it is possible in this thread but I'm three years in and all regens just go straight to the free agent pool. I've only seen new workers graduate.

  16. Have you seen regeneration workers graduate from training facilities? I've never seen any.
  17. Yes, I want the option "new worker frequency" back. If I need more new workers, I would use the "Quick Fill" feature.
  18. I'd like to see shortcuts to the editing pages for workers and companies. It can be just a little pencil icon to link to the editor on the worker's profile page. I have a habit of editing the names and other attributes of newly regenerated workers. The current version isn't friendly enough to access the editing pages for the workers.
  19. I'd like to see some optimization patches for the loading time. It takes about 20 minutes to sim a month six years into the game with ten companies and 2000 active fighters. Most of the time seems to be spent on simulating AI events. I hope it won't get worse now that I've disabled new fighter generation. I miss the fast loading time at the start of the game.
  20. <p>I'm in 2009 with around 3100 fighters and 10 companies. It takes about 20 minutes to finish a month.</p><p> Occasionally, the game freezes on closing the fighter splash screen. It happens once or twice in every event.</p>
  21. I get WMMA5 to work following this thread on Arch Linux. Installing `native_oleaut32` and `allfonts` via winetricks solves some UI issues like font, thumbnail color resolutions in WMMA5 I use a different WINEPREFIX so I have to do one more thing: Copy and rename ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/syswow64/OVSB~3IL.OCX to ~/.tew-wine/drive_c/windows/syswow64/ovsBooleanControls.ocx which can fix a crash on clicking in some buttons. Updated: This file also has to be copied: ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/syswow64/Msflxgrd.ocx to ~/.tew-wine/drive_c/windows/syswow64/Msflxgrd.ocx
  22. This mod is good. The higher number of fatal injury types makes the game more unpredictably. I have seen a number of wrestlers who were supposed to be future stars had their careers cut short due to injuries. Several Japanese main eventers also had to give up in early 40s. This is something that rarely happens in the default mod.
  23. I'm running the game on arch linux. I installed pipelight which bundles with wine-staging. I don't remember whether I have installed ie6, vb6 etc. So far I have not come across any in-game errors. Playing it on linux is much better because I can sim the game in the background without it re-maximizing the window every single day.
