  1. Ah, well, I'm a Kobe fan (not a fan of the person, but moreso because of the circumstances surrounding him-- that is, he has a lot of haters ), but that's just about the only reason I want the Lakers to succeed. Still, nice to see the Mavs do well. Hopefully it's a Mavericks-Heat finals, with the Mavs gaining revenge and retribution for the injustice that was committed by the refs 5 years ago
  2. Yup, Filipino-Chinese, actually. Born and raised here
  3. yeah, everytime that team shows a lot of promise, they somehow manage to screw it up
  4. yeah, most fans hoped the Clips would win, setting up a Cavs (20+ game losing streak) vs. Wiz (winless on the road) game. alas, it was not meant to be. oh well. LOL clippers.
  5. I think it'll be interesting to see how the Jazz respond as a team. Deron will be a FA soon, and he might (doubtful, though) do the same thing Melo's doing to the Nuggets this season...
  6. While I believe it's a player's league now, I don't think Sloan would've let a young whippersnapper run him out of the job he's held since I was born Very sad to see him leave

  8. Yeah, I think this is easily resolvable for the Nuggets. A few trades here and there, and if Lawson continues to improve, and Nene stays healthy... Heck, even if they don't, it's not like they were bottom-feeders. They just had bad luck with George Karl being out to start the playoffs...
  9. Yeah, I think it's getting to the point where the players are too spoiled. Maybe it's because of the number of teams in the league, or any of the changes that the NBA has made, but the players today (while probably more athletic than those past) are mostly mentally softer. I really don't get how Melo can even consider asking for a trade after the success he's had in Denver. And in the same vein, LeBron as well. The Cavs had the best record the past couple of years, Shaq was an expiring, and had LeBron re-signed, I'm pretty sure other FAs would've come to him. Instead, we had to see "The Decision"
