1. Judgement Day will get a ton of heat when they soon get their hands on the national treasure that is R-Truth. I am sports entertained. Shame like Jaysin said that he won't get another main event run, even if short.
 2. Not sure if serious or not... you say that as if these sort of things were never used for the purpose of advancing stories before. And this one was pretty obvious. From searching just my memory, i can remember how such things were used as well in days like Ruthless Aggression and such. Was even worse in AE, iirc. Not sure if it is being that overused now in comparison, but at least this time it did make some sense.
 3. What? We just got a first look like 6 month...oh wait....
 4. Agreed. And i think even the suggestions here to drastically reduce it are also swinging too hard in another direction. I mean, these kinds of shady things need to happen in some way or form always, cause it's pro wrestling and heels gotta be heels, now obviously that doesn't mean they should be overdone. A more balanced and less insulting way to do them would be good, and obviously not relying too much on it, but not to the point where we need a legal commission to decide something.
 5. That's AN OPINION, not necessarily an absolute truth at all. Whether we all like or hate some of the things going on, there has been progress. Complaining just cause is what this looks like, no offense, just my opinion as well. It's far from perfect but they at least have things to look forward too nowadays, more consistent booking, most comedy is a bit more acceptable. Overall there are good improvements. I think the dq finish isn't bad at all as a way to setup things here. A decisive win by any of them would indeed seem like the not so long ago times of the weird 50/50 random booking. Raw is still a chore with its 3 hours, but has been worse. But at least there are some things to look forward to.
 6. Well, WMMA 5 completely improved on a game that was already the bar. Massively. WMMA5 is Adam's best game. It will likely remain as such for a long time, maybe ever. I suppose that was the best response that could have been given.
 7. Perhaps not putting the links of new patches in blue? They become barely visible when dark mode is being used.
 8. You need to set your interim champ in a fight with someone for the actual belt and the winner gets it. Edit: Time to browse the new forums.
 9. Thank you m8. Can't edit title threads anyway, I think, so much appreciated.
 10. I would love a WMMA6. WMMA5 was Adam's all time best game and even just some improvements would be awesome. That said, after seeing TEW 2020 and how it developed in the long run, even in terms of perception for the community, maybe it is best to end the series on a spectacular note.
 11. Yeah, I usually go for the #1 vs #2 more times because i can control who is in it, match quality and get a deserving champion. In a tournament, regardless of the type, having my $1 contender, for example, knocked out beforet he final would be a bummer. xD
 12. I usually vary between both. Depends on the mood. #1 vs #2 is the one i have used most.
 13. It took a year to fix the editor. One year. One year. One major thing that could have been done ages ago and made me eventually stop playing the game, as i got tired of assuming the most essential and needed changes would come and the game would hold up. I will check it out now, return to it, see how it goes. Again...one year. Anyway, thanks for finally doing it. Didn't wanna do an entire thread just to give my 2 cents on this, as it isn't really a rant. So I posted it here. Cheers.
 14.

On a separate note, what makes a fighter reconsider retirement?

Thus far, i've only gotten excuses from them, including stuff like they don't feel they'll make an impact if they come back, or that they've achieved all they wanted to before retiring.

Is there a specific personality / attribute /characteristic of a fighter that will increase their chances of a comeback?

Depending of their excuses you can edit age, skills or both. That will do the trick. Fortunately, because most retirement dates are too early, considering how things pan out in actual MMA.

 15. This. I have multiple monitor setups and even then i can quickly adjust to TEW and MMA res to play in case I can only use one, for some reason. Quick and easy. You might not get that 300% perfect picture, but it's playable and the monitor is still usable for other stuff. While the locked resolution is annoying, it's not a reason to stop playing even in this scenario. Regardless, wish you best of luck.
 16. This would be nice. Assume it will be done on the qol improvements that never arrive, even though the game has been released for a while now. I'm still waiting on simple things like the old system to send workers and trainers to dev companies and an actual in game editor where we can set someone as retired or non retired. It's the simple things, you know? Maybe that will happen after all the growing issues are finally resolved by adjusting a cap by a few points, as it should have been done from the beginning. But yeah, this would be a welcomed return for realism and immersion. Again...it's the simple things.
 17. I never suspend anyone on any kinds of substances in most of my games. my WHC continued to compete despite being suspended for a year. Jon Jones was brought in after UFC fired him for this reason and did 3 or 4 fights before the suspension ended. I also never strip champs of their titles regardless of what they pop for.
 18.

2. The things you "should" be mad about are clunkiness and lack of QoL such as not being able to use the mouse wheel to scroll when using the In-Game Manual, or in many of the screens, including in the "Toggle Roster".

I agree that these were some of my biggest annoyances. Not being able to edit worker status in WMMA5 was probably my major gripe with that game (still a great game regardless, no question) and i truly hated that this came into play into the TEW series. Awful decision, imho. Much like the changes to sending workers and trainers to development. Little stuff like that really helped with the immersion. Yes, I can talk to a worker to try and get him out of retirement, but a lot of times they will say no. even with a lot of editing.

I don't want to have to start a new game and have to change who i want to not be retired every time. Who even retires for good in wrestling or MMA anyway, bar a few exceptions? Stuff like that is annoying, the scrolling is annoying, the Qol parts are indeed in need of some love for patches. Hopefully sooner than later.

THAT SAID, i also don't understand all the fuss about the game itself. Once you start playing and actually see how it goes, it's the best TEW of the entire series, imo. I think some people kept some grudges due to disliking the initial product that was presented in the beta and were not able to let go of those grudges. Once you skip those and play the game, it is very good. And maybe others don't like it because they don't, and they have that right. And others probably haven't gotten the hang of how to play it. Something i saw so many times in TEW 2016 and previous versions.

Yet, due to how all of this happen, people took a defensive approach about the game and do not realize it is good, fun and a good way to spend many hours. I still hope for some more Qol, as any game, anything that exists, actually, has always room to improve, but it's a great game.

As for the CV vs. RW mods...I like both. I do prefer RW, but I also have lots of fun with CV. The whole immediate response of "Oh, that happens because you are playing a RW mod." kinda needs to stop, yes. I'm not telling people to shut up or anything like that, but there are plenty good RW mods and TEW always had many. Sometimes it's just player's expectations or the fact they haven't mastered the game yet.

I couldn't care less if every single worker or thing is realistic in a RW mod. For those I care, I edit. I would be fine with shaving Ric Flair's head and making him a gladiator. That's why it's a game. It's not reality. The whole "Oh i couldn't do this because it would never happen irl" just baffles me. 85% or more of the stuff that were in diaries years ago happened. Not even real life is realistic.

TL, DR: The game is good. Not every real world is broken, the CV isn't perfect either. TEW 2020 is still the best way to pass time in the entire TEW series.

 19.

Is there an easy way to use a fighter on your roster as a commentator?

For example, let's say I want DC to be able to commentate like he does in real life. If he retires in game, he's removed so I can't have him become a commentator. If I release him from his contract and try to sign him to a non-fighter contract, he isn't interested. Is there actually a way to do it?

If he retires in game he is not removed, you can easily sign him to a non-fighter contract in that scenario. Just make sure to include non-fighters in the default search.

 20. Both games fit the criteria, just in different forms of business. One is WMMA5, where you run a MMA promotion, so based on running a real sport. The other is wrestling and all the entertainment factor upon which it is based. I have played both series since day 1 and I can tell you that WMMA5, the latest release, is the best game of mixed martial arts i've ever played. If you wan't to go straight into action and see time pass by and your decisions affecting the game world quickly, and having to deal with the consequences, you will love it. A great game. TEW 2020 on the other hand, is also a ever changing world, but a more complex one, as instead of promoting real fights you are promoting wrestling matches, which include stuff like dealing with gimmicks, storylines, feuds, backstage politics, etc etc. Both games are top notch, both are worth the buy every day of the week, imo, but obviously which one will suit you more will depend on your own tastes. From what you've said, i think both can have huge replay value for you, i know WMMA5 and TEW 16 have had endless amounts of it for me, and i know the same will happen with TEW 2020. If you're looking for something more complex out of the gate, TEW 2020 is my recommendation. If you can later afford WMMA5 down the road, i also recommend that. The amount of hours I spent in there is a number i've lost count, but all worth it. The same goes for TEW. So, TL,DR: I recommend both, but whichever you buy first depends on your tastes. TEW is more complex, due to the nature of wrestling, in a good way. WMMA5 is more simple, also in a good way, in the sense that you will see yourself passing in-game months and years faster...and you will want to pass even more.
