ChatGPT has really changed how I play TEW and made it so much more immersive and enjoyable. I'm using it as a creative room that I can go to and get ideas from AI versions of some different wrestling minds. Partnering it with Midjourney to create images for wrestlers in different gimmicks really helps make my world feel alive!

I've noticed a couple of issues relating to broadcasting on a long term sim of a converted database; Not replacing lost deals WWF lost their deal to show RAW on the USA Network in 2000. It's now 2007 and they've still not looked to find a new slot in the US to show the programme on. It's still running, being shown only on RTL in Europe and Sky Sports in the UK. They haven't started any new A-Shows, and their only other show is Superstars which is being shown in the US. It seems to me like a company should always be making sure it's A-Show is being broadcast in their home country but that's not happening. Companies not evolving their TV shows WWF over the 12 years of the sim have grown their roster and their finances massively. Yet RAW is still a 1 hour taped show. It seems to me that with them being so financially well off, they should be choosing to run live. Then with the fact their only A-Show is 1 hour long, and their only B Show is 1 hour long, it would simply not be possible to keep their huge roster happy. They have 208 active wrestlers while at Medium size. I would expect that they either should be looking to expand the time of their existing A-Show as well as maybe creating a 2nd A-Show, or not building such a huge roster to begin with. Owned by Media Group too restrictive This may go down as more of a request as it could be working as intended, but being owned by a Media Group seems too restrictive. For WCW pre the Time Warner/Turner Group merger, it means that once WCW's deal with Time Warner for PPV expires, they do not get anything to replace it to run their events. So all of their events since have had no broadcaster. They should either be seeking to use a non-PPV broadcaster from within their Media Group to show the events Or Media Groups should allow you to seek deals a) where they have no broadcasters operating in a region (allowing for international expansion) and b) when they have no broadcasters of the type (Cable PPV, Internet Subscription etc.) Passiveness Finally, this is more of a feeling than anything, but companies just don't seem aggresive enough when it comes to expanding their TV deals. WWF never looking to get back into the US for RAW, but also not ever looking to expand into Canada, Mexico etc. with their deals. ASW another example. started strong, creating a new TV Show on Challenge, and signing up with Sky Box Office for a PPV broadcaster towards the beginning of the game. Great. Now though, they are medium sized with mid 70s pop across the UK. Yet they've never moved to Channel 5 who are bigger, and set as accepting companies of Small size and above, with 71 pop in at least 2 regions (ASW are that in all regions of the UK)

There's something about the match time caps that is a little too line in the sand at the moment. Taking for example the Classic Sports Entertainment product, where matches under 15 minutes have caps on how high the rating can be. I'd assume when talking about the "Ruthless Aggression" era of WWE, this is the product that would best suit so i'm going to use that as an example. 15 minutes is such a hard cap when you factor people like Brock, Batista had really good matches that weren't long. That said, it is fair that for the most part, the Eddie Guerrero, Benoit, Angle types were putting on 15+ classics during this era. My thought is that there should be two types of time penalties Soft Penalty - Match rating is penalised for being >15 minutes Hard Penalty - Match rating is capped for being >10 minutes This creates a buffer zone of 10-15 minutes where penalties apply, but not caps. This would allow workers who are skilled/over enough to overcome the penalty and still put on a very high rating. Obviously the timings would vary for each product, but having that buffer zone allows for great workers to still be capable of putting on great matches in a shorter time period than the usual for that product.

A small one, but would it be possible to exclude B-Shows from the Top 100 lists for attendance? Where taping the B-Show on the same day as a A-Show, the attendance will obviously be the same but it means two records appear in the Top 100. It's fairly obvious the fans aren't there for the B-Show so it would be good if it didn't show on the list

Is there a way when pre-booking to leave a participant open? For example, I want to book Jeff Hardy to appear on my next TV show, however I want to leave the other participant open as i'm really just advertising the return of Jeff. It's an immersion thing I guess, as I do know who i'll book against him, but if I can keep it how it would be advertised, it would be cool

AEW run live shows as well though so it's the same situation. You still end up with a live crowd who have paid to see in ring action, staring at a monitor for an entire match.

I would say it's hard to take a view on what works in a product in this current situation. The whole no audience thing has made the cinematic work, but in a regular situation (which TEW represents) would it? Imagine the Boneyard match taking place as a cinematic event with 70,000 people in attendance all having to watch two stars in AJ and Taker on a screen at a show they likely paid a fortune to attend. The truth is that most products it would not work in a normal enviroment. Companies that tape their shows could get away with it better as they can feed it in without the audience being involved. At best, you'd be able to do it on the very rarest of occasions live and repeating it within the space of a year or maybe even more would be massively unpopular Edit: As for the original question of what to use for Impact 2020, Classic Sports Entertainment could be the one based on your criteria. Matches can be rated up to 60/40 for in ring action if the rating is good enough. No punishment for hardcore matches (as long as it doesn't get too dangerous/bloody), cinematic seems to be fine, and I don't think there's a penalty on high flying either.

Tournament tracker might be my favourite addition so far. It's not mentioned in there, so I assume not, but can you link a tournament to a tournament title so that when the winner is determined, it instantly awards the title to that person? Not such a big deal for straight knockout tournaments, as there is a final where you can easily assign the title to the match. But if it's a single group round robin where the winner of the group wins the tournament (is that possible?) then you could have multiple matches on the final show which could determine the title winner Also for Round Robin, can you choose how many blocks you have and how many qualify from that block? So could I have 4 blocks of 6 with 2 progressing from each block to a knockout format?

Apologies if it's already been asked, but how does this work with relation to PPA contracts? From how I understand the new system, we don't know if our workers will be available until the day of the show when the bigger companies choose to use or not use them. So if we pre booked anyone in that situation, then it turned out they are unavailable, we would take a big penatly. But if that's half our roster that's at risk, it's going to be hard to avoid the pre-booking penalty.

Yeah I had the same two results. Rav's win over Foster also came in under a minute but was by a body strike TKO. Foster just curled up into a ball! I figured that was a crappy finish, so I ordered a rematch a few months later and Kapur body strike TKOs him again! This time at least Foster made it to the 2nd round but damn!

<p>April 1992 in my 91 WCW game;</p><p> </p><p> Sting/Luger/Flair is really starting to get good now. Flair won the title back from Sting at Starrcade and recently has announced he is reforming the Horseman with AA and Rick Rude (who had won the World Title last summer from Sting before losing it back to him) with another yet to be named. Sting turned to best friend Luger to help him combat the numbers which worked well for a while, but in a match where Sting had to beat Flair for the title or never get a shot at Flair again whilst he's champion, Luger's botched interference cost him the title. There will be a Luger/Sting vs. Flair/AA tag match at The Clash and at the next PPV it'll be War Games where the 4th member of The Horsemen will be revealed. The Steiners will probably team with Luger & Sting.</p><p> </p><p> Scott Hall continues his rise. He's held the US Title since Starrcade after defeating Luger. He's in a program with Ron Simmons which he is winning quite easily. It's actually building Simmons better than I thought but not enough to have me give him the title. Hall will be turned face soonish.</p><p> </p><p> Owen Hart had an on-off feud with Pillman for the cruiserweight title for most of 91. The night after Starrcade The British Bulldogg debuted taking the TV Title and a couple of months later Bret Hart joined him, also winning a title in his debut match (Tag Titles with Owen from The Steiners) The long term plan is to either bring in Neidhart or turn Pillman for a Hart Foundation vs. Horsemen feud next year. Before that Bret will get a US Title run. </p><p> </p><p> Injuries have been an issue since the start of the game. Steamboat was brought in to be one of my stars but got a year long tendonitis injury which meant he could work but not to a full level. I ended up having him mentor Dustin Rhodes during this time, rarely working in-ring. His contract was up and I chose not to renew. Kevin Nash went down with a knee injury keeping him out for 9 months and is close to return now. Flair and Sting both had similar injuries a year apart right in the middle of two different feuds between them. I used Flair's to push Sid Vicious who Flair wanted to take Sting's title to give to him (Very Andre/DiBiase like)...with Windham off to rehab, the Horsemen came to an end when Flair and Arn turned on Sid for not getting the job done. This resulted in Sid getting a clean victory over Flair and his pop shooting up to the 90s...I never really did capitalise on this though which may be an error on my part. </p><p> </p><p> There's a Japanese angle I'm running with Misawa and Mutoh the two main combatants. It all started when Misawa's hot streak caught the attention of the incoming Orient Express who constantly attacked him. It led to a 2v2 with a mystery partner (Mutoh) who ended up turning on Misawa to join the Orient Express in a Yakuza-style stable. <p>1991, playing as WCW and the Sting vs. The Horseman feud took an interesting turn in February. Flair got injured off a Pillman botch and is out for 55 days, but still able to work. Don't want to waste Flair/Sting with Flair injured though. </p><p> </p><p> So have had Flair groom Vicious to be the man to take down Sting with lots of angles and Flair managing him in his matches. It'll eventually lead to Sid being kicked out the group for failing to take the title off Sting (with Flair's plan being that Sid would lay down for him when he's back fit) and a feud kicking off between Sid/The Horseman. This means saving the Flair/Sting match for later in the year, probably Starrcade. The only thing I'm missing is who the 4th member of the Horseman will be when Sid is out. </p><p> </p><p> Other storylines include Vader/Luger which Luger will win, but hoping Vader comes out strong enough to be Sting's next contender. </p><p> </p><p> I had Rick Rude debut in typical flashy fashion, but Missy Hyatt interrupted to announce she'll be debuting her new client next week. Rude was furious that his spotlight had been stolen. This led to him attacking the debutant (Rick Martel) in an act of jealousy. </p><p> </p><p> I have The Steiners/Doom feuding over the WCW Titles (they were unified with the NWA Titles as I plan my exit from the NWA) which is going pretty successfully. Simmons is a big part of my future plans as I've always been a big fan of his.</p><p> </p><p> There's a lot of wrestlers on the roster I have no interest in whatsoever. I'm looking to phase them out and replace them with some better options. So for this I opened up a development company. The only call up so far is Ultimo Dragon who will eventually be one of the top guys in a cruiserweight division but that's some time away. For now I just want to get him some exposure.</p>

If you really wanted to be like Vince, you'd turn it into a new storyline with Taker holding a funeral for Sting claiming that he killed him, and a younger wrestler who idolized Sting trying to take revenge.

Have said this elsewhere, but owning your own network, particularly subscripton is impossible to model against the other types of broadcasters within the same system. Having your own network, particularly one you need to subscribe too, there is no predefined size. It's not a big network that you've got your show on to. Subscription is not something where the presence of the network on cable means people can just stumble on to you. The size of your network is entirely dependent on the popularity and size of your company. The more popular you are, the more people will sign up to watch you. If you're an indy promotion who draws 200 people a night, your probably not going to get a whole load of subscribers. TEW reflects this in one aspect, with you needing a certain popularity to break even. But the size of the network really should be "N/A" for promotion owned subscription networks as it's completely irrelevant.

Previous page screenshot showed he was involved in a scandal. I had this with Hogan who was my champ. I had him lose the title on the next show (happened to be Wrestlemania III) and then fired him. You have 7 days (in which you presumably have an event or tv show in that time) so you can job the title before firing him. If you don't have an event or TV show in that period, maybe create a small 2 hour event, no broadcasters to represent him losing the title at a house show. Or just vacate it! Possibilities are endless!

Not tempted to make a story out of it and have Victoria take Trish's place in the title match (that being the kayfabe motive for injuring her), win the title setting up the feud for when Trish comes back? I know it doesn't seem great to reward someone for injuring another worker, but don't let morals get in the way of a good feud (Edge/Matt/Lita for example!)

As some may have seen in the random screenshots thread, Hulk Hogan got into a scandal 1 week before Wrestlemania III for mocking the disabled. This turned him toxic. His popularity dropped from 99 to 80 (not as bad as I thought) and his impact as figurehead reduced substantially (from 17% attendance boost and 60% merch boost, to 2% and 5% respectively) ...add to this, the fact that he is toxic he would cause a big attendance drop + merch losses (presumably) on top of that. It left me with a decision to make. I had 7 days to decide whether to release Hogan without any cost. 7 days to decide on changing the history of WWF in an instant. This was disastrous. I had recently turned Piper heel. Jake Roberts constantly turns up and wrestles drunk. Ricky Steamboat is my Intercontinental Champion, but he's not really got the "it" factor to make him my main guy. My Wrestlemania main event was already set as Hogan vs. Savage after Randy attacked Andre and put him out injured. I decide no matter what, Hogan has to lose the title to Savage. He does, but due to the popularity decrease the main event is nowhere near what it could of been. The attendance was 92,000...imagine what it might of been of toxic Hulk wasn't here. Monday arrives. Today's the day I have to make my decision. Hogan's gone and the future of WWF is changed forever. I couldn't pay that much money to someone who is going to so negatively affect the company for the between 6 months and 2 years. Maybe one day he'll be back, but for now I need to find a new way forward. That way will be Randy Savage. A face turn is set for the next show, and he will feud with Andre. Randy finally gets to come out of Hogan's shadow, and be the man who carries WWF on his back.
