  1. I'm so ready to dive into this. It looks great! Major kudos to you for all your hard work, Idol. This is a VERY superfluous request, but is there any chance we could see Ed Leslie make his way into the data? 😅 I love the concept of a wacky Hulk Hogan vanity company, but I think we can all agree that no wacky Hulk Hogan vanity project is complete without Brother Bruti. He wasn't working overly regularly by this point, but Cagematch has him in five matches in 2004 and dozens more until 2015.
  2. Yeah, I too look out for this thread every single time I visit these forums! Actually, this was the first thread I followed after the board software switched over a while back and I noticed that feature was a thing. The previews make this look like possibly the most polished TEW mod to date and I've always found 2004 to be a fascinating time period to play through because so many things in wrestling were in a state of flux. Plus I got into the EW series in 2003, so I have a lot of fond, formative memories of booking different companies during this exact time period, as well as a billion Big Ideas for how to book them all so much better now that I'm, somehow, twenty years into my (fantasy) booking career. 😛 Every time I notice that this thread's been bumped I rush over here as soon as I can hoping for more previews or some news because I'm more hyped for this mod than I've been for any video game related thing in a good, long while.
  3. I'm gonna hold onto The Chosen Few for a potential Jarrett vanity stable down the line, so... thanks for that! I wound up dropping the 's' from your second suggestion and calling this group The True Blood because I like the way it sounds and I love that it riffs on The New Blood. Taking even a subtle jab at Russo feels VERY on brand for a Bischoff led 2001 WCW.
  4. I can't seem to settle on a name for a Scott Steiner, Buff Bagwell, and Jeff Jarrett stable in my Bischoff Buys WCW May 2001 save. Steiner is the de facto leader since he's currently the most over heel in the company, Bagwell is his occasional tag team partner and BFF, and Jarrett is the third wheel who has recently realigned with them both but sees himself as the group's centerpiece when he clearly isn't. All three guys have ties to the nWo as well as the ill fated Magnificent Seven, but I really don't want to retread the nWo stuff for at least the first few years of the save and the other members of the Magnificent Seven aren't even with the company now so circling back to that is out. I briefly thought about lifting the Main Event Mafia gimmick from TNA but between Steiner's single (but solid!) world title reign, Jarrett's four terribly forced Russo-riffic reigns that lasted less than two months combined, and Bagwell's never having been truly booked as a top guy at all (though I'm trying him out as one because the roster is a skeleton crew), the "Main Event Mafia" name doesn't really feel earned? I don't see them existing as a trio for longer than a year tops and I don't really want to center the whole company around them or anything because that had been done to death in WCW, but I'd like for the group to at least have a nice name that fits. I'd love some suggestions!
  5. Loving the data so far! Noticed something small-ish in the original version of the 0.2 data: Blue Demon Jr. has no stats, attributes, or popularity.
  6. <p>I'm new to 2020 so forgive me if what I'm saying is wrong, but you appear to have announcers like Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone (I haven't checked anyone else) set to a Staff Member gimmick labelled as Legitimate, while they also have the Can't Play Legitimate attribute checked. Wouldn't that cause them to incur needless penalties? Maybe try changing the Staff Member gimmicks to Realistic instead? Or removing the attribute?</p><p> </p><p> Forgive me if this has been brought up already and thanks for all the hard work you're putting in! This is the first set of data I'm using for 2020 and I'm stoked that it exists in such a complete form already.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT - Just realized they appear to be set as Realistic on worker contracts, thankfully, but are Legitimate on their default gimmicks.</p>
  7. <p>I can't help but feel like you just dropped the hottest mixtape of 2018, Efanga.</p><p> </p><p> These are incredible.</p>
  8. <p>Small detail but both Bruce Prichard and Dutch Mantel really should have their Weasel and Heel performance settings improved. They're two of the very best in the history of the business as far as Weasel Heels are concerned so I imagine it was just an oversight and not an intentional choice to have them set as low as they are in the data, which if memory serves is like 50. I bumped both guys up to 90 for each stat, personally.</p><p> </p><p> Also, I'm super stoked about the employment history thing. It's amazing to see a modern day update start to see this level of polishing. You've definitely set a new standard for mod makers, Fleisch. Thanks for all that you do!</p>
  9. <p>I'm wondering if perhaps we can get James Ellsworth, everyone's favorite enhancement talent, added to RWC? People in WWE seem to like him and I think he'll probably pop up again at some point. Plus I'd personally love to book him 1-2-3 Kid/Colin Delaney style. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Since any man with two hands has a fighting chance of being added to the data, I figured I'd throw this together:</p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/iQniDxu.jpg</span></p>
  10. Any chance you could add the Cruiserweight Classic as a retired tournament title the way you've set up the Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank, etc? The first CWC just finished up tonight and I'd like to keep the tournament running as a yearly thing in my next save file. Here's a belt graphic I tossed together for it to spare you the most time consuming part of the process: http://i.imgur.com/cPeiIs7.jpg
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Fleisch" data-cite="Fleisch" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41205" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Yeah but you can only loan for up to 3 appearances so they then end up right back in WWE again 2 or 3 weeks later.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Maybe you could put the ones who aren't vets in NXT with developmental deals and just let the player use the new borrow from development feature to book them on Raw? It's an extra step but you get the best of all worlds that way. I've been doing it in Montreal Aftermath with some of the less well rounded cruiserweights and it seems to work pretty well if players can remember not to neglect anyone.</p>
  12. Happy to see that you're adopting the promotion logos I put together, Fleisch. I'll do up the TV show logos as well soon since they're still on the 2013 background.
  13. I remade the RWC logo pack on a background that matches the new worker picture background. They came out looking pretty nice, I think, so I figured I'd share them with everyone. Here's a preview: http://i.imgur.com/5stp62f.jpg Anyone who wants them can download the complete set of updated logos here. They're free to use; no credit needed. There's a blank background and a PSD template (for the drop shadow effect on the logos) included in the zip archive. If you'd like to use these in the data you're more than welcome to, Fleisch!
  14. Any chance you could post an updated version of the list of pictureless workers you posted a few pages back? While you're taking a (deserved!) break on the mod I'd like to make pictures for most/all of the rest of them.
  15. <p>The fact that Brian Quinn of Impractical Jokers and Tell 'Em Steve-Dave fame is the first face you see when you start a new game made me smile. Awesome pick for a user character!</p><p> </p><p> On a more relevant note to the data itself, you may want to make The Club as a stable in WWE and alter AJ Styles' disposition/gimmick accordingly after what happened on Raw.</p><p> </p><p> Also: Hernandez' Lucha Libre Elite contract doesn't have a picture set.</p>
  16. <p>More Chronicles cuts from the incomplete list:</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/W1nZzo5.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/u3B9Btn.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/gpjTwNj.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/qbGgQUN.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/awwccSr.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/KgbqxvK.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/bnTf1j9.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/hcOD4sq.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Rey Misterio Sr, Rey Misterio Sr mask alt, Roddy Piper HOF alt, Ryan Nemeth, Sevin Thorn, Shawn Hernandez, Sinn Bodhi, and Todd Keneley.</p>
  17. <p>Pics for Perry Saturn, Raven, Rob Terry, and Sean Waltman:</p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/LzynwXd.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/49LDnSS.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/ZHqRace.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/SPXFcEU.jpg</span></p>
  18. <p>Whipped up some pictures for RVD, MVP, Low-Ki, and Mick Foley while playing. Feel free to save them for the next picture pack if you'd like, Fleisch.</p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/feY0eZG.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/PHv6QLF.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/K6vc60c.jpg</span><span>http://i.imgur.com/M7f14M1.jpg</span></p>
  19. Some quick, mostly small WWE-centric stuff: -Brock Lesnar is listed as a locker room leader when he really shouldn't be. Honestly, he should probably be a negative influence? If nothing else his Antisocial, Selfish, and Egotistical should be upped. -"Guido" gimmick disposition should be set to Both. Enzo & Cass are defaulting to low end gimmick ratings because it's currently Heel only. Cass could definitely use a bump to his Cocky, Babyface, and Heel performance as well. -All of the Social Outcast guys would benefit from being switched to a Comedy gimmick - maybe "Comic Relief"? Heath is currently set as "Rock Star" (Cool) and the other three as "Arrogant Heel" (Cocky). Cool and Cocky gimmicks both adhere to the "wins/losses have a greater effect on popularity" rule, which would mean that booking the Outcasts realistically would eat up their popularity suuuuper quickly. If you do change it be sure to up their Comedy performance stats accordingly as they've all been pretty funny in the role. -Bob Backlund's WWE contract doesn't have a gimmick yet. Maybe "Inspirational Leader"? That gimmick could probably use some lowered gimmick requirements if you go with it, though. Backlund is also set as a heel while Darren Young is a face. I believe they're supposed to both be faces but I've only seen one of the segments so I'm not certain. -WWE's music quality levels are too low for Dish Network. "Licensed" feels right for WWE so maybe lower the requirement on Dish's end? -Maybe lower the requirements of the "Corrupt Official" gimmick? As is Charles Robinson/basically any typical referee won't be able to work it. -Maybe switch Daniel Bryan from the "Unbreakable" gimmick to "Fun Babyface" or "Old School Face" now that he's retired? -Both members of The Ascension could use a substantial boost to their Menace (I set it to 60 for both, myself; a solid C feels right) and a switch to a Brute based gimmick. "Monster" would work perfectly. Konnor should also be sidelined with a Wellness suspension for the next month. -Randy Orton's injury should probably be shortened substantially. He was one of the people Vince recently said in a conference call would be returning soon. Maybe bump it down to two months or so? -Bubba Ray Dudley could probably use a bump to his Crazy performance stat to make him less likely to default to a poor "Extremist" gimmick rating. I'd bump it up 10 points to match D-Von's 75.
  20. <p>I'm in love with the fact that TEW 2016 can realistically simulate WCW's World War 3 match:</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/p0v28em.gif</span></p><p> </p><p> TEW handles battle royals so much better than before and it's awesome. In the entire time I owned TEW 2013 I don't think I ever managed to book one that wasn't a dud; in TEW 2016 my <em>first</em> battle royal went over well enough to main event my highest rated payperview so far.</p><p> </p><p> The mechanical improvements to battle royal matches are great but the part I'm really impressed with is how easy it was to pad out a gigantic match like World War 3! I used a combination of my existing roster, a few short term single appearance contracts I hammered out the week before the show, some local workers, a bunch of developmental talents I borrowed for the day, and some talent trades from New Japan to pull together enough people to pad out a 60 man match without any problems. I can't believe how well things that used to be massively complicated in TEW 2013 just "work" now.</p><p> </p><p> Sucks to be Scott Hall, though...</p>
  21. It's awesome seeing those color variations after years of using your 2013 skin. I'm particularly fond of that orange one. Thank you so much for updating this for the new game so quickly, Iceisle!
  22. Matt: the video angles were set to off-screen with the idea that hype videos are created in advance and workers don't need to be physically present at a show for them to be ran. This can come in handy when you're not a worker's top priority on the night of a show, when a worker is suddenly injured, etc. (Answering this one for Idol because I'm the 'Rated-R Superstar' referred to in the top post and specifically chose to make those angles off-screen when I was making the TEW2010 set that he built this one off of -- which ironically was patterned after an old, long-since-lost pack of Idol's for like TEW2008 or something that I was going insane trying to play without, haha.)
  23. Any chance you could post a blank JPEG or like a PSD or something of the gradient background you're using on all the TEW-sized images of these logos? I like the uniform quality they all have and I wanna make up some Real World Chronicles company logos that match them exactly for my next game.
