  1. It still tickles me that we actually got an attribute named "That Doesn't Work For Me, Brother." 😄 So we need to meme "Half The Brain That You Do" into existence! Softball Player: There is a chance that this worker will randomly take a hiatus for one to three months. When this happens, a news story will generate talking about what the worker will be doing in the time off. Since it is sudden, there is no incoming warning. Robotic Speech: When scripted in an angle, the worker will be penalized and the score of the angle will be lowered to simulate how this worker does not sound natural at all talking in their promo as it sounds obvious that they are trying to remember the words they are saying. It is recommended that this worker not be scripted in angles. Scripted Mess: This worker is better off not being scripted as they are not good at remembering the lines for scripted promos. There is a chance that the worker and angle will be heavily penalized, but it is not definite as there is an outside chance they can remember their lines. Comfortable In Their Skin: No matter what their sex appeal is, this worker may pose for magazines and possibly get a popularity boost. Change The Music Back: This worker just got a new theme song, and the fans don't like it one bit because the previous theme song was so iconic. The worker will take a penalty to every segment and match they are in for a period of time. There is also a chance that their momentum may go down one to two levels, and there is an outside chance that their popularity may go down. While this is a temporary attribute that will eventually go away on its own, you have a chance to make it go away immediately and thus get rid of the penalties if the worker is given a new gimmick and it gets a rating of Very Good or higher. However, if the new gimmick is rated Adequate or below, then you are stuck with the penalty. [This attribute is automatically temporary and lasts anywhere between one and six months.]
  2. For those wondering, I have hit a writers block wall in regards to this diary. Trying to play as three companies (even though the diary is centered on one), trying to enjoy other hobbies & what not, it leads to a diary that wouldn't last forever. So with that said, here is a rundown on some stuff I had lined up: -The Beverly Brothers were going to retain the WWF Tag Titles at WrestleMania VIII in the most heelish way possible. It would come down to L.O.D. & the Beverly Brothers, & the Genius would manage to distract Animal & Hawk, getting them counted out. The Beverlys & Genius would run off with the belts as the L.O.D. would throw a temper tantrum in the ring. Eventually, this would lead to the WWF debut of Paul Ellering. In a return bout, one of the Beverly Brothers would intentionally knock out the ref, but the L.O.D. don't seem to notice. Hawk & Animal make a big comeback, & it looks like they're going to win the match by pinfall to regain the titles as Tim White runs out to replace the ref who was knocked out... but instead, he saw what happened backstage on the monitor, so he has no choice but to DQ the Beverly Brothers. The heels run off as the L.O.D. take their aggressions out on Tim White. The L.O.D. & Paul Ellering would be suspended for 30 days. Yet they show up at King Of The Ring, sitting down in some seats that happen to be empty at that time. They're not even front row... they're several rows back, & they show that they have their tickets. The Beverly Brothers & the Genius are of course upset & it distracts them enough that they lose the Tag Titles in an upset to Virgil & Tito Santana. They would regain the belts a week later on Monday Night Raw, & Pres. Tunney would rule that despite the Beverly Brothers & Genius' protests that Paul Ellering & L.O.D. interfered, it was his conclusion that they did not interfere as they never jumped the barricade & never got physical. "Therefore, once their suspension ends, they will face whoever the WWF World Tag Team Champions are at SummerSlam!" -Macho Man would win the WWF World Title from Ric Flair at WrestleMania. Ric Flair would work over the Macho Man's leg, but Randy perseveres & wins the title. All throughout the night on Monday Night Raw, it is hyped up that there will be a championship celebration. Macho Man & Elizabeth come out from behind the curtain... but a masked man clubs him in the back of his leg from behind! Vince jumps out of his seat & rushes over to check on Macho Man. Eddie Gilbert seemingly breaks character, saying something along the lines of that he wouldn't have done that. The next week, we find out that Eddie Gilbert wasn't turning over a new leaf as he is looking forward to seeing what will happen now that the Macho Man will have to vacate the title since he will be unable to defend it within 30 days. Vince calls Eddie out, saying that he watched the show back & heard what he thought was compassion from Eddie Gilbert. Eddie would proceed to tell us that he didn't finish what he was saying. "I wouldn't have done that. I would have done even more to make sure Macho Man could never come back to wrestling ever again! HAHAHAHA!" Also, on a different subject, Eddie Gilbert would be at ringside for the Men's Battle Royal at WrestleMania, providing commentary from outside the ring, a first in the WWF! Low & behold, it was all a ruse as we find out he was the final mystery entrant, choosing to enter when it came down to three, but gets eliminated immediately like the arrogant goof that he is! -Sid Justice would go over Hulk Hogan clean at WrestleMania. Sid helps Hogan up, making sure he's okay after such a hard fought battle, & Hogan shakes his hand & gives him a hug. While not acknowledged by Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan, the camera would catch Hogan's congratulations being a bit half-hearted. More on that later. -Back to the WWF World Title picture. President Tunney that due to the Macho Man being unable to defend his title, the title is now vacant, with a new champion being crowned on Saturday Night's Main Event in a match pitting the top two contenders against each other: Ric Flair & Sid Justice. Sid Justice eventually prevails & has a nice spring & summer run as champion. After going through the group of heels Jake Roberts put together, Sid says there is one man worthy of a title shot, & he has petitioned to President Tunney & the WWF Championship Committee to defend the title against this man at SummerSlam: Hulk Hogan! We never get promos from the Hulkster himself, but Gene Okerlund reads us telegrams he receives every week in the lead up, with Hogan giving words of encouragement, saying he's looking forward to getting in the ring one more time against a great champion like Sid Justice, etc. SummerSlam '92, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (who lost the IC Title to Bret Hart at WrestleMania) walks down to the ring, & Gorilla Monsoon would be wondering what on earth is Ted DiBiase doing walking out here for this match, & where is his bodyguard, Haku? In this save, DiBiase would hire Haku after losing the IC Title. Bobby Heenan doesn't say anything, so Gorilla asks him what he thinks about this. Bobby Heenan just says something like "Yeah, Ted DiBiase is out here without Haku." Referee Joey Marella of course is distracted & gets out of the ring to confront DiBiase, ordering him to the back. Meanwhile, Haku runs in from the crowd & nails Sid in the throat with the Tongan Spike. Hogan didn't see it, but when he's back to his feet, he sees Haku & just stares at him for a second... before hugging him! The fans don't know what to think, & Gorilla is going ballistic. Bobby Heenan lets it slip "Just like we drew up!" "What do you mean, 'we,' Brain?!" Bobby Heenan says something like "Not right now." Sid is staggering back up, holding his throat & coughing, & Hogan hits him with his new finisher (an old finisher of Hogan's), the Axe Bomber. Haku has gotten out of dodge as Ted DiBiase finally leaves. Joey Marella turns around to see Hogan pinning Sid. ONE... TWO... THREE! New champion, a now heel Hulk Hogan. We wouldn't get answers the next night, but rather a week later on Monday Night Raw. Turns out the whole thing was a plot by Bobby Heenan, Ted DiBiase, Haku & Hulk Hogan. They all say that it wasn't Hogan that turned on the fans. No, they turned on him! They cheered when the Undertaker stole his title. Parents told their kids to turn off the TV when Hogan came on, all because he made some mistakes in his life. Hogan of course would throw it back at them, calling the parents hypocrites for doing that while going out & cheating on their spouses, getting drunk at bars & gambling their life savings away. Eventually, Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect storm out, yelling at Bobby Heenan what this is all about. Heenan tells them that at WrestleMania, they dropped the ball. And just like Jimmy Johnson knew it was time to replace Herschel Walker with Emmitt Smith, it was time to replace Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect with the trio of the Million Dollar Man, Haku & Hulk Hogan. Flair & Perfect would attack, but the heels outnumbered them & beat them down to end the show as Tony Schiavone, who would return to the WWF by this point, would close out the show the only way he can: "For Eddie Gilbert... I'm Tony Schiavone... Hulk Hogan, you can go to Hell! Straight to Hell!" To everyone who read this dynasty, I hope you don't feel like your time was wasted. I understand if that is how you feel. I do have another scenario I want to write up eventually, but it is more on the modding side of things rather than a dynasty. But who knows, maybe something inspires me & gets me to write up a new diary down the road. And lastly, thank you to everyone who enjoyed this & thank you all for the likes & kind words. It is truly appreciated. I may post some more plans I had in this thread, but I wanted to touch on the big stories.
  3. Go read page one for what's going on with SMW. Also, one of my earliest posts (I think my first one in this thread) explains how there are a few slight tweaks here & there for this alternate universe in 1992.
  4. Wrestling Observer News & Notes WWF News: -For those wondering after seeing his humorous appearance as the "Blue Blazer" on WWF Superstars recently, Andre the Giant is back full time with the WWF after leaving All Japan. Andre opted to take an out of the ring role with the WWF after years of wrestling taking its toll on his body. He is mainly working as a road agent, but he will make occasional appearances from time to time. -Crush was not busted hard way when Hercules hit him with the chain recently on Monday Night Raw. Crush being busted open was actually a rare case of Vince McMahon allowing for the use of blading to help sell an angle. Don't expect to see this on the WWF's weekend offerings as Vince apparently wants Monday Night Raw to have a distinct feel from Wrestling Challenge & Superstars. -Attendance for the WWF's recent tour of the northeast United States was down, but there are several factors at play here. The WWF is still trying to recover from the steroid scandal that broke last year, which is ironic when you consider that anabolic steroids were not as regulated during the pro wrestling boom of the 1980s. Another factor is the downturn in the US economy for over the past year, although there are signs of life starting to show that a comeback is on the way. Also consider that with Monday Night Raw having held their TV tapings at the Manhattan Center in New York, those fans may not feel the need to go to a monthly Madison Square Garden card, or may not have the money to attend both bi-weekly TV tapings & a Madison Square Garden supercard. -I was in New York for the recent MSG show. I liked what I saw from Violent Beauty in the six-woman tag team match. Wendi Richter sold really well for the babyfaces in the match, & Velvet McIntyre sold well in helping to make Tori look good. -Sources close to the WWF have reported that Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has taken Glen Ruth under his wing as a protege. Glen has been working as an enhancement talent for the WWF, & it is said that officials are high on him as a potential player down the road. -Many are surprised at Bill Eadie's return to the WWF, & as a road agent at that, which was the position he was promised when Demolition was nearing its end. Vince McMahon & Bill Eadie were somehow able to patch things up, with money & Eadie not having to take as many bumps probably playing a factor. Eadie was said not to have been happy with his recent in-ring matches in the W*ING promotion in Japan, either. WCW News: -Jerry Lynn is signed to a written contract in WCW, but he is not exclusive to WCW. He is the man under the mask as Mr. JL, which might explain why Eric Bischoff hasn't had any qualms about Jerry wrestling for the GWF on ESPN. The deal was said to just be a nine month deal as Eric wanted to get a feel for Jerry, but he is high on him as a potential player in WCW's Light Heavyweight division. He could potentially be given an exclusive offer down the road. Independent News: -Nikita Koloff is keeping himself busy these days. He is working dates for the NWL, & has recently signed on with both Herb Abrams' UWF & Tim Horner's Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Nikita may be trying to get himself a deal with either the WWF or WCW, or maybe even a lucrative deal in Japan. -I was able to catch a recent airing of the USWA, & I have to make a correction. It is due to my source getting information from a fan, who had mistakenly thought that Brian Christopher (now Brian Candido) was playing Chris Candido's long lost brother. It turns out that the angle is that Brian & Chris are long lost cousins, which makes the fact that Brian dyed his hair & changed his last name even funnier. Goofy as it is, I have to admit that I was pretty entertained by the angle.
  5. From various local newspapers, here is a look at this past weekend's WWF tour of the northeast! WWF at the Boston Garden Boston, MA Friday, Wk 3, February 1992 Attendance: 7,804 Broadcast on NESN Announcers: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan Dark Matches: -"Playboy" Buddy Rose def. Reno Riggins by pinfall with a splash off the top rope that he calls the Vegas City Splash. -Rockin' Robin & Cheryl Rusa def. Penelope Paradise & Brittany Brown when Robin pinned Paradise after a Running Bulldog. Main Show: -Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan welcomed the NESN viewers to tonight's show, & hyped up the lineup for tonight: Rick Martel taking on Hillbilly Jim; "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan taking on Shawn Michaels; Misty Blue going one-on-one with Wendi Richter; & two big title matches tonight. First, the WWF World Tag Team Titles go on the line as the Beverly Brothers take on the Natural Disasters, & Ric Flair defending the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against Sid Justice. Gorilla Monsoon said that WrestleMania VIII could be turned topsy-turvy after tonight, but Bobby Heenan said that we'll still see Ric Flair defending the gold against Randy Savage because Sid may be big, but he doesn't have the smarts of the Nature Boy. -Crush def. Skinner by submission with the Cranium Crush. Crush was wearing a bandage on his forehead to help sell his recovery from Hercules recently busting him wide open with a chain. -Sean Mooney conducted a backstage interview with Misty Blue, Rockin' Robin & Cheryl Rusa. They talked about Misty's match later on tonight against Wendi Richter, & how they can't wait for President Jack Tunney to get the contract ready for a six-woman tag team match against Violent Beauty. -High Power def. "Iron" Mike Sharpe & Bob Bradley when Koko B. Ware pinned Bob Bradley after a Missile Dropkick. -Jerry "The King" Lawler walks out with a microphone in his hand & antagonizes the Boston crowd. He said that he noticed that Bill Buckner & his family were not in attendance tonight despite Lawler leaving tickets for them at the ticket booth. "I guess he couldn't bend over to pick them up!" The fans boo ferociously at Lawler mocking the infamous error that factored into the Boston Red Sox eventually losing the 1986 World Series to the New York Mets. Lawler then went on to announce that he was joining his good friend, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, at the announce desk to help him out in dealing with, as he put it, "that big fat ape, Gorilla Monsoon!" -Rick "The Model" Martel def. Hillbilly Jim by pinfall after Jerry "The King" Lawler interfered. While Hillbilly Jim was down but stirring about in the ring, facing towards the announce table, Rick Martel went to grab his can of Arrogance spray, which distracted referee Billy Silverman. As Silverman argued with Martel, Jerry Lawler told Bobby Heenan & Gorilla Monsoon that he noticed a bug crawling in the ring. Gorilla said "I don't see a bug!" Bobby Heenan replied "Quiet, Monsoon!" As Hillbilly Jim tried to use the ropes to pick himself up, Jerry Lawler knocked him out with the ring bell, then put it right back down! Rick Martel, seeing the opening, cooperated with Billy Silverman & put his Arrogance spray down, then went to make the cover. On commentary, Gorilla Monsoon was losing it while Bobby Heenan said with a straight face, "Lawler, despite how much Hillbilly Jim can't stand you, you still go out of your way to keep a bug from biting him, even if that means hitting him with the ring bell!" Lawler said "Yeah, I rang the dinner bell, & Hillbilly Jim went to sleep instead!" -Sean Mooney interviewed "Nature Boy" Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect. Flair & Perfect told Macho Man not to worry, because he won't have to face Sid Justice at WrestleMania VIII. Flair & Perfect talked about how despite how big & bad he is, Sid Justice would become another footnote in the title reign of Ric Flair. -Shawn Michaels w/Miss Genie def. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by pinfall after Michaels used a foreign object. Miss Genie managed to sneak her purse into a corner without the ref & Jim Duggan seeing it, while giving signals to Shawn Michaels as to its whereabouts. Miss Genie hopped up onto the ring apron to distract the ref, & Duggan approached to do something about it. The ref backed him away, & Duggan turned around & right into Michaels blasting him with Miss Genie's loaded purse! Gorilla Monsoon asked what was in that purse, a brick?! Bobby Heenan, without missing a beat, proclaimed that Duggan's jaw must be weaker than Bret Hart's to get knocked out with a simple purse. -Sean Mooney interviewed Sid Justice, who said that Mr. Perfect & Ric Flair were counting their chickens before they hatched. He said that he would defeat Ric Flair & vowed to do something that had never been done before in WrestleMania history, & that was to defend the title twice in the same night: first against Hulk Hogan, then one more time against Randy Savage. -Misty Blue vs. Wendi Richter went to a 20 minute time limit draw. -WWF World Tag Team Championship The Natural Disasters w/Jimmy Hart (Challengers) vs. The Beverly Brothers w/The Genius ended in a double count out. -WWF World Heavyweight Championship "Nature Boy" Ric Flair w/Mr. Perfect def. Sid Justice (Challenger) by DQ after Sid intercepted a steel chair that Mr. Perfect slid into the ring & hit Flair in the back with said chair. -Sid Justice was none too pleased about the outcome as referee Earl Hebner high-tailed it out of there, not wanting Sid to destroy him. Sid turned his attention Mr. Perfect, who was in the ring to help Ric Flair up & help him celebrate another successful title defense. Perfect looked up & saw that Sid was giving the last rites gesture that he gives to every opponent before hitting him with his signature Powerbomb. Perfect managed to get out of there thanks in part to Flair getting back up & hitting Sid from behind with the chair. Sid went down to his knees as Flair threw the chair down & started strutting arrogantly. Sid, however, was back up & grabbed Flair by the throat, & he brought him down hard with a chokeslam. Flair rolled out of the ring, helped to the back by Mr. Perfect, while Sid went down to his knees & posed for the crowd to send them home happy. -Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan recap what we saw tonight, & thank the NESN viewers for tuning in tonight. WWF at Madison Square Garden New York City, NY Saturday, Wk 3, February 1992 Attendance: 11,581 Broadcast on MSG Network Announcers: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan Dark Match: -"Iron" Mike Sharpe def. Glen Ruth by pinfall after hitting the Running Forearm. Main Show: -Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan welcomed the viewers watching on MSG Network, hyping up tonight's card featuring a 20-man battle royal, Roddy Piper & Bret Hart taking on Shawn Michaels & Ted DiBiase in tag team action, Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice teaming up to take on the Orient Express, & tonight's main event pitting "Macho Man" Randy Savage & the Undertaker against WWF World Champion Ric Flair & Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Bobby Heenan questioned if Macho Man could trust the Undertaker, & Gorilla responded by saying that there is no telling with the Macho Man, but if it were him (Gorilla), he would go by the saying of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." -Tatanka def. Skinner by pinfall with the Papoose To Go. -"El Matador" Tito Santana def. The Brooklyn Brawler by pinfall with the Flying Forearm. -Violent Beauty def. Candi Devine, Susan Green & Velvet McIntyre when Tori pinned Susan Green after hitting the Tori Plex. -Sean Mooney interviewed "El Matador" Tito Santana & Virgil backstage. Tito & Virgil were happy about Tito's win earlier tonight, & now they were looking forward to Virgil winning the battle royal coming up next. Virgil said he'd especially keep a close eye on Repo Tax & hoped to retrieve Tito Santana's matador hat back from the Repo Man. -The Mountie won a 20-man battle royal that also featured the Big Boss Man, the Nasty Boys, "Playboy" Buddy Rose, the Legion Of Doom, Haku, Hercules, the Warlord, High Power, Hillbilly Jim, the Natural Disasters, Jerry "The King" Lawler, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Repo Tax & Virgil. The final four were the Mountie, Big Boss Man, Hercules & Hillbilly Jim, while Earthquake got the most eliminations. Hercules managed to eliminate Hillbilly Jim, but was immediately clotheslined out of the ring by the Big Boss Man. Mad at what happened, Harvey Wippleman yelled at Boss Man, reminding him about the man from his past coming back to haunt him. Boss Man yelled that he had no clue what Harvey was talking about, seeing as that Harvey hadn't dropped any names that would ring a bell. The distraction proved to be the difference maker as Jimmy Hart handed the Mountie his megaphone. Mountie clobbered the Boss Man from behind with the megaphone, knocking the Boss Man loopy & lying over the top rope. All the Mountie had to do was lift the Boss Man up, & that he did as the Boss Man landed on the floor. -Lord Alfred Hayes interviewed the trio Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Papa Shango & the Barbarian. They talked about what happened earlier this afternoon on Wrestling Challenge, with Jake & Shango talking about how disappointed they were that the Undertaker & Paul Bearer wanted to go their own way. Jake said "I had a plan. I... HAD... A DAMNED PLAN! And you two ruined it! (pause) But that's okay. Because you see, men like me, we can adapt to change. And why? Because men like me... men like Papa Shango... men like the Barbarian... We answer... to a higher power. Trust me." Bobby Heenan noticed how worked up Jake Roberts was, actually yelling for the first time that he can remember. Meanwhile, Gorilla Monsoon wanted to know who or what this higher power was. -"Rowdy" Roddy Piper & Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. Shawn Michaels & "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Miss Genie went to a Double DQ. The match eventually broke down & all four men fought inside the ring, with the ref having no choice but to disqualify both teams as they ignored his five count. Miss Genie distracted Piper at one point during the match, too, with Piper kissing his hand & slapping his backside with it, much to Miss Genie's chagrin. -Sean Mooney interviewed Mr. Fuji & the Orient Express backstage about what they did earlier today on Wrestling Challenge, costing the Von Erichs a chance at winning the WWF World Tag Team Championship, & also asked them about their match tonight against Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice. Mr. Fuji & Pat Tanaka were confident in victory tonight as Kato nodded in agreement. Fuji & Tanaka said that they made good on their promise to make the Von Erichs pay for sticking their nose where it didn't belong, & tonight the Orient Express was going to send a message to the WWF Championship Committee by defeating two of the WWF's biggest superstars in Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice. Mr. Fuji also pointed out the recent tension between Hogan & Sid, saying it would all come to a head tonight. -Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice def. The Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji when Hogan pinned Kato after hitting the Big Leg Drop. The Orient Express looked like they were having their way when Kerry Von Erich walked down to ringside. This distracted referee Danny Davis & Pat Tanaka while Sid Justice hopped down off the apron to back Kerry off in an attempt to play peacemaker. Kevin Von Erich then ran in from the crowd, hopped the security railing & locked Mr. Fuji in the Iron Claw to the cheers of the fans after managing to knock Fuji's hat off of his head. Fuji frantically moved around, dropping his cane in the process. Kevin let go as Fuji fell down, then ran into the ring & blasted Kato in the face with the cane to more cheers. Kevin ran out of the ring, dropped the cane back down by Fuji, & ran off before security could do anything. Kerry saw what happened & proceeded to back off. Hulk Hogan was back to his feet, saw Kato was down & ran the ropes to hit the Big Leg Drop. Pat Tanaka realized what was happening & tried to get back in, but Sid Justice grabbed a hold of his legs, preventing Tanaka from re-entering as Hogan got the pinfall victory. -Sgt. Slaughter def. Barry Horowitz by submission with the Cobra Clutch. -Sean Mooney interviewed "Macho Man" Randy Savage with Elizabeth, Paul Bearer & the Undertaker. Macho Man said he wasn't sure if he could trust Paul Bearer & the Undertaker, but Randy said Undertaker saving Elizabeth from certain harm gained a lot of respect from him. Paul Bearer & Undertaker said they didn't expect to be invited for Christmas to the Macho Man & Elizabeth home anytime soon, but they couldn't let Macho Man go it alone tonight in the big tag match main event pitting them against Ric Flair & Jake Roberts. Sean asked Paul & Undertaker how they were feeling after this afternoon's attack, & they admitted that they weren't 100%, but they don't need to be in order to vanquish Jake Roberts & his evil cohorts. -"Nature Boy" Ric Flair & Jake "The Snake" Roberts w/Mr. Perfect, Papa Shango & the Barbarian def. "Macho Man" Randy Savage & the Undertaker with Paul Bearer & Elizabeth when Flair pinned Savage. At one point, Papa Shango distracted the Undertaker, allowing the Barbarian to clothesline him down to the floor outside the ring. Referee Earl Hebner, instead of calling for a disqualification, wanted the fans to get a conclusive outcome, so he ejected both Papa Shango & Barbarian to loud cheers from the crowd as Shango & Barbarian vehemently protested the decision. Toward the end, the Undertaker & Jake Roberts proceeded to fight their way to the back, distracting referee Earl Hebner as he tried to get them to come back to ringside. Macho Man was perched high atop the turnbuckle, ready for the Flying Elbow Smash. But Mr. Perfect grabbed the WWF World Title belt & blasted the Macho Man in the back with it, sending Randy off the top turnbuckle & crashing down onto the mat. As Undertaker & Jake went past the curtain, Earl Hebner decided it was no use & ran back down to the ring, not seeing what happened. Ric Flair made the cover & made sure to hook the leg to ensure he got the three count. -Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan close out the show, with Gorilla appalled by how Ric Flair & Jake Roberts won that tag match. Bobby Heenan says that Ric Flair pinned Randy Savage one-two-three, but Gorilla interjects how Ric Flair got the win. Bobby Heenan says his monitor went out for a second, & he can't take Gorilla Monsoon at his word, so as far as he was concerned, Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler in the WWF. Gorilla thanks the MSG Network viewers for tuning in. WWF at the Spectrum Philadelphia, PA Sunday, Wk 3, February 1992 Attendance: 11,158 -Candi Devine def. Penelope Paradise by pinfall. -The Blue Blazer def. Skinner by pinfall with a Flying Splash. -Haku def. Bill Anderson by pinfall with the Tongan Spike. -"El Matador" Tito Santana w/Virgil def. Repo Man w/Irwin R. Schyster by pinfall with a Flying Forearm after Repo was accidentally hit by Irwin's briefcase. The end of the match came when Irwin R. Schyster jumped up on the apron behind the referee's back, which prompted Virgil to jump up on the apron to try & get the ref's attention. However, the ref argued with Virgil to get down off the apron as Repo Man held Tito Santana in position for IRS. Irwin wound back & brought his briefcase down, but Tito ducked out of the way & Repo Man instead got hit by accident. Repo Man staggered around as Tito Santana dropkicked Irwin R. Schyster off the apron. Virgil, seeing what happened, jumped down himself as Tito ran the ropes & finished Repo Man off with the Flying Forearm. However, Repo Man & IRS managed to run off with Tito's matador hat still in their possession. -The Headshrinkers w/Afa def. Glen Ruth & Chaz Warrington when Fatu pinned Warrington after hitting the Samoan Splash. -The Mountie def. Jim Powers after putting both of his feet on the ropes out of view of the referee. -Sgt. Slaughter, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan & the Von Erichs def. The Beverly Brothers & Orient Express w/the Genius & Mr. Fuji when Jim Duggan pinned Pat Tanaka. As expected, the eight man tag match eventually descended into chaos, & the ref was about to give up on trying to restore order. Pat Tanaka held Jim Duggan in position for Mr. Fuji to blind him with his ceremonial "salt," but Duggan ducked out of the way as Fuji accidentally blinded Pat Tanaka with the "salt!" Duggan knocked Fuji down, then got in position & hit Pat Tanaka with a Three Point Stance clothesline. Sgt. Slaughter & the Von Erichs managed to stop the Beverly Brothers & Kato from breaking up the pin as Jim Duggan picked up the victory. -The Nasty Boys w/Sensational Sherri def. High Power when Jerry Sags pinned Jim Neidhart. Things began to break down at the end when all four men started brawling in the ring. Koko managed to dropkick Brian Knobbs down & started doing his signature bird dance as the ref got distracted by trying to get him to his corner. Jim Neidhart had Jerry Sags pinned, but the ref didn't see it as he was distracted with Koko, trying to get him into his corner while Koko was now yelling at the ref to turn around. As Koko relented, Brian Knobbs picked himself up & hit Neidhart with an elbow drop, then put Sags' arm on top of Neidhart's chest. Neither the ref nor Koko saw Sensational Sherri sneak around the ring, so Koko was not ready for Sherri to grab his ankle, keeping him from being able to enter the ring to break up the pin. -Sid Justice def. Typhoon w/Jimmy Hart & Earthquake by pinfall after hitting a chokeslam. Towards the end, Jimmy Hart distracted the ref as Earthquake beat up on Sid outside the ring. As Earthquake picked up Sid & rolled him back into the ring, the Legion Of Doom came down to ringside. They took off their shoulder pads & started fighting with Earthquake. Jimmy Hart was having a conniption, which kept the ref distracted as the L.O.D. were fighting Earthquake to the back while road agents tried to get them separated. Typhoon got distracted, but Sid was back to his feet & turned the big man around & nailed him with a chokeslam. Sid ran over & punched Jimmy Hart off the apron, then went to cover Typhoon for the pinfall. -Hillbilly Jim was in the ring, ready to referee the main event while clad in his usual overalls. Jerry "The King" Lawler then came out for his match tonight against "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He cut a promo on Philly fans, telling them that Charles Barkley had a better chance of his spit landing on his intended target than at winning an NBA Championship, referencing the infamous spitting incident when Barkley meant to spit on a fan that was heckling him, but instead, his spit accidentally hit a little girl in attendance. This really drew the ire of the Philadelphia crowd, but he wasn't done there. He said that he saw what Mr. Perfect & Ric Flair had to say this weekend about Elizabeth, & he said he saw the evidence years ago when Hugh Hefner showed him pictures of a failed photoshoot audition. -Special Guest Referee: Hillbilly Jim "Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Elizabeth def. Jerry "The King" Lawler by pinfall with the Flying Elbow Smash. Needless to say, Macho Man came running down the ring, with Elizabeth eventually making her way down to ringside. Randy Savage got an early start on Jerry Lawler, but Lawler would use his dirty tactics to get back into the match. The match went back & forth until Lawler started arguing with Hillbilly Jim about what he thought was a slow count. Lawler threatened to hit Jim, but the big man reminded him who that he was the special guest referee. Lawler gave up in frustration & turned right around into a series of quick jabs from Randy Savage, then got knocked out with an elbow to the head. Macho Man went to the top rope, came flying down with his patented Flying Elbow Smash & got the pinfall.
  6. Wrestling Observer News & Notes WWF News: -The "bucktooth beaver" comment made by "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert recently on Monday Night Raw is actually a rib on a former WWF producer, Kevin Dunn. Dunn, who recently left the WWF to take a job as an executive TV producer for various shows at ABC, was known to not like smiling with his mouth open because of his teeth. He tended to rub people the wrong way behind the scenes, but Vince McMahon honored his late father's wishes to take care of him, among other employees who were loyal to Vince Sr., as Dunn's father had saved several weeks worth of TV tapings from a burning car. However, Dunn opted to make everybody else's lives easier by leaving the WWF, with Kerwin Silfies now being promoted as the top producer at the WWF. Silfies is well liked by everyone, including Vince McMahon, behind the scenes. -I was eating at a restaurant the other day, & I saw some kids laughing while going "Too bad!" "Rowdy" Roddy Piper may have caught on with a new catchphrase. -Jim Powers suffered a wrist contusion during a dark match with "Playboy" Buddy Rose at the recent Monday Night Raw tapings after doing his new High Angle Powerslam finisher. The injury is not serious, & Powers can work through it. There is no heat on Buddy Rose, either, given that Powers chose to do the move despite Buddy's size. WCW News: -PN News is said to not be too happy these days after recent losses in tag team matches against Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce, then to the Lightning Kid & Robbie V. Matt Borne, who plays Big Josh, surprisingly didn't seem to mind as he knew it was part of a storyline to explain his recent heel turn on PN News. According to my sources, Eric Bischoff tried to reason with PN News, but the Rap Master told him "No baby, no baby, no." -In the world of "I didn't know you cared," I now know why Gary Hart didn't jump at the chance to work with the Global Wrestling Federation despite living in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, & despite his own promotion not lasting very long. He apparently doesn't like Joe Pedicino & views him as a grifter. Others seem to disagree or at least they put up with Joe, but Gary Hart has always been a bit of a maverick. So you can understand why many were surprised that Gary Hart agreed to return to WCW given his bad feelings from the last time he worked in Atlanta. However, I had the opportunity to talk to Gary & he informed me that with Jim Herd out, he wanted to at least give Eric Bischoff a chance as he didn't know Bischoff, & hadn't heard anything bad about him. -Rumor has it that WCW may do two War Games matches at this year's Wrestle War '92, with one of them obviously involving Sting & the Dangerous Alliance. So who would be in the other War Games match? One potential match could pit Shane Douglas, Brad Armstrong & the Rock 'N' Roll Express against the York Foundation, which seems plausible as that angle is being received well by fans. Another possibility is Van Hammer, El Gigante & the Fabulous Freebirds against the Diamond Exchange. If they go with that match, maybe they can have it in the Chamber Of Horrors, if for nothing else than for the visual of either Van Hammer or JT Southern sitting in the electric chair & their hair stands up straight as a result. USWA News: -So Jerry "The King" Lawler & Brian Christopher opted not to acknowledge their father/son relationship for the time being, but Jerry Jarrett has taken it a step further. He has teamed up Brian Christopher with Chris Candido, & they are doing a storyline where their manager, Reggie B. Fine, discovered that they are actually brothers, with Brian going so far as to change his last name to Candido & even dying his hair blonde. Jerry Jarrett missed a golden opportunity for Chris Candido to be the one to change his name to Brian's last name. -Tom Prichard is out of the USWA now after having signed with WCW. He has been paired up with Stan Lane as part of the Heavenly Bodies, managed by Jim Cornette. -Jerry Jarrett was able to secure a broadcasting deal with Prime Ticket to air USWA supercard events. This should help the USWA get back on the map & have more money rolling in, & perhaps be seen as a bit of a super indy. For some of the goofy stuff that happens there, they do have the talent to pull it off.
  7. WWF Superstars Airing Sunday, Wk 3, February 1992 (Taped Tuesday, Wk 3, February 1992) Springfield Civic Center Springfield, Massachusetts Attendance: 7,331 (Sell out!) -After the video intro, we open to the panel that is hosted as usual by Vince McMahon. On one side of the desk are Gorilla Monsoon & Reverend Slick, & on the other side are Bobby "The Brain" Heenan & Jerry "The King" Lawler. Vince opens things up by mentioning that our feature match pits the first ever WWF Television Champion, Irwin R. Schyster, against Koko B. Ware. Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler protest that Irwin just won the title last weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event, & Gorilla & Rev. Slick counter that President Jack Tunney has made it clear that this title, while having the 30 day mandatory defense clause like other WWF titles, is unique as it's only defended on television. Gorilla Monsoon: "That includes Pay-Per-View, by the way, guys, because you watch Pay-Per-View on television." Jerry Lawler: "Well as I understand it, Irwin's not defending the title at WrestleMania." Vince McMahon: "That is indeed correct, King, but that's only because he & the Repo Man will lock horns with Virgil & 'El Matador' Tito Santana in a tag match at WrestleMania. Mean Gene Okerlund will have more on that in our WrestleMania Report later on in the program." Bobby Heenan chimes in, & he's excited as he says that Harvey Wippleman is joining the panel via satellite today, possibly to tell us more about the man who will be coming for the Big Boss Man. Jerry Lawler also chimes in saying that he understands that a ladies tag team is returning to the WWF & are joining them via satellite as well. Vince McMahon confirms that yes, the Glamour Girls are on their way back to the WWF. Without further adieu, Vince throws it to our opening contest featuring the Blue Blazer in action! -The Blue Blazer def. Duane Gill by pinfall with a Flying Splash. Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes acted as if we didn't notice that the "Blue Blazer" last weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event looked a lot heavier than he does this week. They just put over how it was great how Owen Hart got one over on the Mountie by proving that he is indeed not the Blue Blazer. Easy win for the Blue Blazer as he puts away Duane Gill with the Flying Splash. COMMERCIAL BREAK -The panel returns, & Harvey Wippleman joins them via satellite. Vince McMahon asks Harvey point blank how on earth was he able to have President Jack Tunney clear an ex-convict to compete in the World Wrestling Federation. Harvey says that first of all, this man committed no crime. Second of all, President Jack Tunney did put some red tape in place as he is signing this man on a probationary basis. As long as he doesn't get in trouble with the law, he can wrestle in the WWF. Also, this man will be on probation for a period of 90 days once his contract begins. Rev. Slick asks Harvey what does this man look like, & did he wrestle before getting locked away. Harvey says that the man was close to making a name for himself in wrestling, but the Big Boss Man squashed all that. As far as what he looks like, Harvey said we have to wait & see. Gorilla asked if the man had a name, & Harvey again dodges the question, saying that everything about this man would be revealed in due time. Jerry Lawler asks Harvey how he met this man, & Harvey says that the man watched WWF programming every time it was on, & he behaved himself well enough that he was able to not only befriend his cellmate, but was also able to befriend the guard as well. The guard, by the way, never cared for the Boss Man. So when the guard found out that this man had wrestled before & wanted to come to the WWF, he worked to figure out a way to get him here. He just so happened to know a friend of Harvey's down in Memphis, who was able to put the ex-convict in contact with him (Harvey). Bobby Heenan says he is looking forward to seeing what is in store for the Barney Fife of the WWF himself, the Big Boss Man, & Harvey thanks Heenan & Lawler for their support. Vince thanks Harvey for coming on the show, then throws it to our next bout. -Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda vs. Lioness Asuka & Denise Storm This tag team match went back & forth even though the crowd didn't connect with them as they weren't familiar with the three ladies from Japan, & are still trying to get to know Denise Storm. Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes talked about how the ladies in the Women's Championship Battle Royal at WrestleMania could have their hands full with Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda, while Alfred also stated that Denise Storm was no slouch either. Both Sean & Alfred wondered if Lioness Asuka could fill one of the two remaining spots in that battle royal. Toward the end, Lioness Asuka & Denise Storm looked like they were on their way to victory until Lioness accidentally hit Denise with a dropkick after Etsuko Mita got out of the way. Lioness Asuka turned around & right into a Blazing Chop from Mita, who made the cover. ONE... TWO... THREE! Winners by pinfall: Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda -The match is over & Mita & Shimoda are making their way to the back. Denise Storm looks frustrated as Lioness Asuka is trying to get up. Denise Storm is yelling at her, asking what happened. Sean Mooney couldn't believe that Denise Storm was blaming Lioness Asuka for the loss, while Lord Alfred Hayes countered that Lioness hit Denise by mistake, & if that doesn't happen, they don't lose. Denise slaps Lioness around, & that causes her to shoot up & slap Denise hard across the face. Lioness turns to walk off, but Denise knocks her down with a clothesline from behind! Sean & Alfred can't believe what they are seeing as Denise is putting the boots to Lioness! Denise picks Lioness up & brings her back down with a backbreaker, then waves her off as the referee yells at her to get out of the ring. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from commercial, & Vince McMahon welcomes via satellite the Glamour Girls, Leilani Kai & Judy Martin. Bobby Heenan talks about how he remembers that the Glamour Girls at one time were managed by Jimmy Hart, but notices he is not with them. They tell Heenan that indeed, Jimmy Hart was their manager, but he is very busy these days. Gorilla Monsoon: "In other words, he doesn't see any value in you two anymore & has kicked you to the curb." Judy Martin seems a bit flustered at what Gorilla has said, & Leilani Kai says that is the furthest thing from the truth. She says that the fact of the matter is that Jimmy Hart is busy trying to guide the Natural Disasters to winning the WWF World Tag Team Championship, & is also busy helping the Mountie in his business with Owen Hart, all while doing business with Sensational Sherri & the Nasty Boys. Vince McMahon asks them if they're going to wrestle without a manager, & the ladies laugh & scoff that the notion that they wouldn't have a manager. They say that Jimmy Hart put them in touch with their new manager, & we will find out who it is soon enough. Jerry Lawler mentions that there are two spots left in the Women's Championship Battle Royal at WrestleMania & asks if they're looking to compete in that match. They say that as a matter of fact, their new manager was able to negotiate for them to compete in that match, & when it comes down to the two of them, they will simply play "Paper, Rock, Scissors" to determine the new WWF Women's Champion, then will go on to regain the recently re-activated WWF Women's Tag Team Championship. With that, Vince McMahon thanks them for joining the panel, then throws it to the Berzerker in action! -The Berzerker def. Mike Somaini by pinfall with the Viking Slam. "HUSS! HUSS! HUSS!" So shouted the Berzerker on his way to the ring & at random times throughout this easy match for him. Mr. Fuji looked rather pleased with the Berzerker this week as he was beating the tar out of Mike Somaini. After he had a little bit of fun, the Berzerker picked Mike up & slammed him down with his standing power slam that he calls the Viking Slam. COMMERCIAL BREAK -It's time for the WrestleMania VIII Report with Gene Okerlund, who is standing by in the WWF Control Room & tells the audience that from what he has heard, the panel is set to interview Owen Hart & the Mountie, who will be at different studios via satellite. That is all to come after this WrestleMania Report. Gene runs down the card as it is right now, & after running down the current participants in the Women's Championship Battle Royal, he confirms that what the Glamour Girls claimed is true, & that President Jack Tunney has granted the final two remaining slots to Leilani Kai & Judy Martin. Whoever their new manager is, he or she has done some fine work in getting them into the match. Gene also says that he is hearing the same rumblings about there being a men's battle royal, but that has yet to be confirmed. Gene does wonder what it would be like for both Hillbilly Jim & Jerry "The King" Lawler to be entered into such a match, & Jim finally getting his hands on the Burger King. After the events of this past weekend on Wrestling Challenge, it will still be the Beverly Brothers defending the WWF World Tag Team Championship in a Four Corners Elimination Match against the Legion Of Doom, Natural Disasters, & the duo of Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Gene once again explains the rules of this unique match: it starts with two teams as determined by a coin toss backstage before the show. Anybody can tag out to any team in the match, & the match does not end until there is one team left remaining after all three other teams are eliminated. Elimination can occur by pinfall, submission, count out or disqualification. Even injury should one occur. Because of the unique nature of this match, the standard championship rule of a titles not changing hands on a count out or disqualification will not stand in this match. So the Beverly Brothers can get counted out or disqualified & still lose the belts. Speaking of tag teams, Gene Okerlund reminds us of the Von Erichs squaring off against the Orient Express, led by Mr. Fuji. Gene says there will be even more bad blood in this match now after what the Orient Express did to Kerry Von Erich earlier this weekend, costing the Von Erichs an opportunity to win the WWF World Tag Team Championship. Gene says that he has heard from medical personnel that there was a medical scare at first with that shot to the throat Kerry took, but he is recovering fine now & should be medically cleared to compete anytime now. Repo Tax, consisting of Repo Man & WWF Television Champion Irwin R. Schyster, take on the team of Virgil & "El Matador" Tito Santana. The Barbarian, led to the ring by Papa Shango, will take on the Undertaker, led by Paul Bearer. But Gene wonders what condition the Undertaker & Paul Bearer are in after what happened on the Funeral Parlor this past weekend. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper takes on Shawn Michaels, led by Miss Genie. We see clips from Monday Night Raw when Piper cost Shawn his match against Tito Santana, & when they brawled out into the streets of New York City. Gene says he doesn't know how the referee will maintain control in this match. The WWF Intercontinental Championship is on the line as reigning champion, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, defends his title against former champion, Bret "Hitman" Hart. Gene throws it to comments from DiBiase. The Million Dollar Man says he heard what Bret Hart had to say earlier this weekend about all of the obstacles he had to face. DiBiase says that it just shows what a fool Bret Hart has been. He says that ever since Bret got rid of his manager, Jimmy Hart, it's been tough for him to climb the ladder. He had an easy road to success with a guiding light like Jimmy Hart, but Bret threw it all away because he thought he knew better & supposedly saw the light, thinking there was value in fighting with honor. DiBiase says "Well Bret, now you know there is no value in honor! All that matters is this." DiBiase flashes a huge wad of $1,000 bills, saying that money is not everything, it's the only thing. And money helped DiBiase to afford fighting classes so that he could knock out Bret Hart with one punch back at the Royal Rumble. Money was what allowed him to conduct a business deal with Jimmy Hart & the Mountie to become Intercontinental Champion to begin with. And money is what Bret had access to when he had a great manager in Jimmy Hart. Ted DiBiase ends the promo by saying that Bret Hart said it himself: he hasn't been able to beat the Million Dollar Man. "And he's not going to start beating me anytime soon. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!" Gene moves along after the recorded promo, informing us of the Double Main Event! "Nature Boy" Ric Flair defends the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Gene addresses the comments Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect made earlier this weekend, & while he doesn't want to hear them again, he insists that he must replay them for those who may not have heard them yet, as well as to serve as a reminder to others that there is no depth Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect won't sink to in order to get the upper hand. We see the allegations Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect made earlier this weekend, about how Elizabeth supposedly was Ric Flair's before she was the Macho Man's. After the promo is replayed, Gene says he still cannot believe a word of what Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect said, & he would have to see their alleged evidence for himself. The other half of the double main event pits Hulk Hogan against Sid Justice. Gene tells the audience that we'll see a replay of what Hulk Hogan had to say earlier this weekend, then we'll hear from Sid Justice. We see the replay of Hogan's promo earlier this weekend, & then we hear from Sid Justice. He says that the video we just saw was the Hulk Hogan he knows. He says that is the Hulk Hogan he is wanting to face at WrestleMania VIII. And that is the Hulk Hogan that he will beat in the middle of the ring. Sid says not to get him wrong: he's not going out there to end Hulkamania. He is going out there to compete & prove to the world that he is the best, & that he is indeed the master... & the ruler... of the world. Back to Gene, who hard sells once again for fans to call their cable provider & order WrestleMania VIII on a Pay-Per-View basis! After that hard sell, Mean Gene sends it over to the panel. -Vince McMahon thanks Gene Okerlund for that WrestleMania VIII Report, then says that it is time to welcome via satellite, thanks to WMC-5 in Memphis, Tennesse, the Mountie along with Jimmy Hart. And joining from WPIX in New York City, it is Owen Hart. Vince resets things as it concerns what has gone down between Owen Hart & the Mountie. It started with the Mountie shocking Owen in the face with his cattle prod, then Owen attacking the Mountie in the weeks that followed. President Jack Tunney suspended Owen Hart, then the Blue Blazer showed up, & here we are. The Mountie & Jimmy Hart correct Vince, telling him that the Blue Blazer didn't show up, but rather, Owen Hart put on a mask & is parading around as the Blue Blazer. Jimmy says that Owen quit the WWF the last time he was the Blue Blazer, & the Mountie will make him quit again. Owen Hart says he doesn't know what Jimmy Hart is talking about, saying that he was never the Blue Blazer. Owen says that apparently proving that he wasn't the Blue Blazer last weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event wasn't enough, & he anticipated the Mountie & Jimmy Hart making these allegations. So once again, Owen Hart is bringing out the "Blue Blazer." In walks a guy who's obviously over 7'4" & over 500 lbs... Bobby Heenan: "Hey, you can't fool me with that mask! That's Andre the Giant!" Vince McMahon: "So the mystery is solved! Andre the Giant is the Blue Blazer!" The Mountie: "Yes, Andre the Giant... Hey! No, he's not the Blue Blazer! He's just parading around as the Blue Blazer to keep Owen's charade going on!" Vince, Gorilla & Rev. Slick are loving this, believing that Andre the Giant is the Blue Blazer, while Bobby Heenan, Jerry Lawler, the Mountie & Jimmy Hart all lose their cool & try to reason that this is yet another farce by Owen Hart. The "Blue Blazer" says that as much as he would love to be Andre the Giant, he is not Andre. Bobby Heenan: "Oh come on! I know that deep voice from anywhere! I used to manage the guy! You don't think I know what he looks & sounds like?!" Owen & "Blue Blazer" deny that Andre the Giant is the man currently under the mask, & Vince, Gorilla & Rev. Slick go along with what Owen & "Blue Blazer" are saying. The Mountie & Jimmy Hart shout that enough is enough, & that they are going to President Jack Tunney to get this issue resolved once & for all. Vince says that if the Mountie & Jimmy Hart want to resolve this once & for all, all they have to do is figure out a way to unmask the Blue Blazer & prove whether or not he is Owen Hart. Owen says "Yeah, unmask him! In fact, I bet you would voluntarily let them unmask you, wouldn't you?" The "Blue Blazer" says he'd be glad to let the Mountie & Jimmy Hart unmask him, because it's hard to breathe under the mask anyway. Vince thanks everyone as they sign off, with Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler pointing out how the Blue Blazer keeps changing size, & now we're supposed to believe that he got a sudden growth spurt. Vince reminds them that anything is possible in the WWF. He closes out the segment by saying that we have to take a short break, & when we come back, Irwin R. Schyster puts his WWF Television Championship on the line against Koko B. Ware. COMMERCIAL BREAK -WWF Television Championship Koko B. Ware w/Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart (Challenger) vs. Irwin R. Schyster w/Repo Man (Champion) Before the match, Irwin cuts a promo about how knows that Koko B. Ware & Jim Neidhart are both behind paying their taxes, & that if they don't pay up soon, the Repo Man will take Frankie & Jim's ZZ Top-style beard as payment. Koko & Neidhart take exception, yelling at IRS & Repo Man as Repo laughs at the babyface duo while sporting Tito Santana's matador hat on the top of his head. Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes inform us of the unique nature of WWF Television Title defenses. Most TV Title matches on television are given a 15 minute time limit due to the constraints of television, & TV Title bouts on PPV will normally have a 20 minute time limit. However, bouts with longer time limits will be possible depending on the circumstance, but as it stands, this weekend's title defense has a 15 minute time limit. Koko & Irwin exchange offense back & forth throughout the match, with one man gaining control for a time, then another man gaining control. Repo Man trips up Koko at one point, which the ref somehow doesn't notice. Jim Neidhart notices, though, & he marches around to confront Repo Man about it. The two are yelling back & forth, then get into a shoving match. The ref has no choice but to eject both men! Repo storms off first down the aisle while the ref escorts Neidhart to the opposite side, insisting that he hop the guard rail & take a different exit so that there isn't a wild melee. Neidhart is throwing his hands up in protest while making his way out of here, the ref watching to make sure he leaves ringside. This is the opening IRS needs to get his briefcase while Koko is looking on, yelling as he wants to know what's happening. Koko turns around & IRS blasts him in the face with the briefcase! Irwin throws the briefcase back into the corner & goes for a cover as the ref turns around right in time & slides into the ring to make the count... ONE... TWO... THREE! Winner by pinfall & STILL WWF Television Champion: Irwin R. Schyster Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes can't believe that the ref missed what happened as we see Irwin R. Schyster blast Koko B. Ware with the briefcase on instant replay. The camera switches over to show Irwin in the aisleway & grinning as he sees the replay on the new multi-monitor video screen that is by the entrance area. The referee misses the replay as we go to break. PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING -Back to the panel, & Vince, Gorilla & Rev. Slick point out the new video screen by the entrance area that we first saw earlier this weekend on Wrestling Challenge, & they wonder how the referee could've missed what happened when Irwin was looking at how he won when the replay was shown on the screen. Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler point out that the ref didn't see the replay, which Vince, Gorilla & Rev. Slick begrudgingly agree on. Vince then runs down some of what we will see this Monday night on Monday Night Raw! We will have a six-man tag team match pitting Bret Hart & High Power against the Berzerker & Orient Express. Brother Love will welcome his guests Jimmy Hart & the Mountie, & Vince wonders what they might have to say after what went down earlier. Violent Beauty will be in six-woman tag team action, & we will also see Bam Bam Bigelow as he makes his Monday Night Raw debut. And our feature match tomorrow night pits Jake "The Snake" Roberts against the Big Boss Man. Vince says that's all coming your way this Monday night on Monday Night Raw, only on the USA Network. "For the Gorilla, for Reverend Slick, & for the Weasel & Burger King..." Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler both yell "Hey!" "This is Vince McMahon saying so long!"
  8. WWF Wrestling Challenge Airing Saturday, Wk 3, February 1992 (Taped Tuesday, Wk 3, February 1992) Springfield Civic Center Springfield, Massachusetts Attendance: 7,331 (Sell out!) Dark Matches: -Hillbilly Jim def. Bob Bradley by pinfall after hitting the Big Elbow Drop. -The Iron Sheik w/Adnan Al-Kaissie def. Buck Quartermain by submission with the Camel Clutch. Main Show: -The familiar looped drum beats of the Wrestling Challenge theme are playing as Gorilla Monsoon welcomes us to another jam-packed edition of Wrestling Challenge, coming to you from Springfield, Massachusetts. Gorilla Monsoon: "Chaos seems to be the order around here as it's been quite the week in the World Wrestling Federation, Brain." Bobby Heenan: "It sure, has, Monsoon. Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice nearly came to blows until Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake stepped in." Gorilla Monsoon: "You're leaving out how the Beverly Brothers intentionally got disqualified & framed Sid for hitting Hogan in the process when he was an innocent man." Bobby Heenan: "Well that's Sid's fault for picking up the chair. Speaking of chairs, did the Macho Man do a number on Jake Roberts or what?!" Gorilla Monsoon: "And Jake was about to hit either Macho Man or worse, Elizabeth, with that chair until the Undertaker of all people stopped him." Bobby Heenan: "Then this past Monday night, Shawn Michaels & Roddy Piper fought all the way out into the streets of New York!" Gorilla Monsoon: "As I understand it, Lord Alfred Hayes will recap that on Special Report." Bobby Heenan: "And before I forget, congratulations are in order for our first ever WWF Television Champion, Irwin R. Schyster." Gorilla Monsoon: "And Brain, what about the news that we just found out about this week's lineup & how it could completely shake up the card for WrestleMania VIII? Fans, in case you haven't heard yet, the Von Erichs will be challenging the Beverly Brothers for the WWF World Tag Team Championship in our feature match!" Bobby Heenan: "Well what happens if the Von Erichs win? Do they defend the belts against the Orient Express? Do they replace the Beverly Brothers in the Four Corners Tag Team match, & the Beverly Brothers then face the Orient Express? Just what on earth will happen?!" Gorilla Monsoon: "I'm sure President Jack Tunney will ultimately have it all figured out, Brain. But let's not waste anymore time! Here we go!" The Wrestling Challenge video intro plays, & then Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan go over this week's lineup. We will see Tatanka in action; the Wrestling Challenge debut of Bam Bam Bigelow; the Headshrinkers will be here along with their manager, Afa; & of course, the aforementioned WWF Tag Team Title bout pitting the Von Erichs against the Beverly Brothers, as we see a split screen of both teams training in their respective locker rooms: Kerry Von Erich doing sit-ups & Kevin Von Erich doing pull-ups, while the Genius goes over strategy with the Brothers Beverly. -Tatanka def. Barry Hardy by pinfall with the Papoose To Go. Gorilla & the Brain put over how Tatanka has been impressive since arriving to the World Wrestling Federation, with Heenan getting in a quick verbal jab about how despite how great Tatanka has looked, he doesn't have the smarts & therefore he needs an executive consultant to guide him, someone like Mr. Perfect. Gorilla Monsoon retorts that Bobby Heenan just wants a cut of Tatanka's earnings, & without missing a beat, Heenan replies, "Only 75%." Gorilla Monsoon: "75 PERCENT?!!" Bobby Heenan: "Hey, Tatanka's lifestyle is pretty expensive. I mean, just coloring the top of his hair red alone costs fifty bucks." Gorilla Monsoon: "WILL YOU BE SERIOUS?!!" Barry Hardy tries to fight back, but Tatanka overwhelms him & eventually hits him with the Papoose To Go for the win. Gorilla tells us that it's time for Special Report with Lord Alfred Hayes! ::Special Report:: -We go to the WWF Control Room, where Lord Alfred Hayes is standing by. He talks about how Monday Night Raw had a wild, chaotic ending when first, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper picked up Miss Genie onto his shoulders & distracted Shawn Michaels, costing him a match against "El Matador" Tito Santana. Then after the match, Shawn gave chase to Roddy Piper, & eventually, both men wound up outside the Manhattan Center, where they engaged in a wild melee that went into the streets of New York City. Alfred throws it to video highlights of the end of Shawn Michaels vs. Tito Santana, followed by a clip of Piper & Michaels brawling outside the Manhattan Center & beating up enhancement talents who tried to separate them. Back to Alfred, who said he had never seen anything quite like it in the WWF before, & if this was any indication, their match at WrestleMania VIII could end before it even starts. Alfred then said that both sides recorded comments in the days following this incident. First we hear from Shawn Michaels & Miss Genie, who really improvised well as they told us how upset they were about what happened on Monday Night Raw. First the Heartbreak Hotel got pre-empted for this weekend; then Roddy Piper committed blatant kidnapping; & a no-good cheating referee caused the Heartbreak Kid to lose to Tito Santana. Miss Genie tells Piper that he's lucky that neither she nor Shawn Michaels wanted him arrested, because they want to settle this issue at WrestleMania VIII. We then hear from Roddy Piper, who said that all he was doing was making sure Miss Genie couldn't help Shawn Michaels cheat to win his match against Tito Santana, & if it cost Shawn the match, well that's just too bad. Roddy Piper: "You know, let's just back up a bit. First, Shawn, you cried about your talk show being pre-empted. Too bad! I hadn't seen a talk show host that terrible since that guy smoking cigarettes that I ran off. What was it he said? Zip it? Well he zipped on out of here when I got through with him! Then you & Miss Genie blow a gasket about me doing what I had to do to ensure that your match was a fair one-on-one match because the referee doesn't have eyes in the back of his head. Too bad! And then you cry about how the referee cost you the match. TOO BAD! And at WrestleMania VIII, I'm gonna put you to sleep. Too bad." COMMERCIAL BREAK -Bam Bam Bigelow def. Mike Bell by pinfall with a Diving Headbutt. Bam Bam Bigelow didn't give Mike Bell any quarter on his Wrestling Challenge debut. But was anybody really giving Mike Bell a chance in this match to begin with? Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan were both impressed, with Gorilla talking about how he's heard rumors that one battle royal won't be enough at WrestleMania VIII, making reference to the Women's Championship Battle Royal announced this past Monday night. Bobby Heenan replies that he's heard the same rumors about another battle royal for the men being put together by President Jack Tunney for WrestleMania VIII, & Bam Bam Bigelow would certainly be a favorite to win. After Bam Bam had enough, he slammed Mike Bell down, climbed the top turnbuckle & came crashing down with a Diving Headbutt for the pinfall victory. After a replay showing how Bam Bam Bigelow pulled off this easy victory, Gorilla throws it to Sean Mooney in the Event Center. ::Event Center:: -Sean Mooney is sitting by in the Event Center, reminding fans that WrestleMania VIII is now only five weeks away, coming to you live from the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana, & you can catch it on a Pay-Per-View basis. One of the matches announced earlier this week is a first for the WWF: A Four Corners Tag Team Match where the WWF World Tag Team Championship will be on the line. Assuming they retain their titles against the Von Erichs this week, the Beverly Brothers will defend against the likes of Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan; the Natural Disasters; & the Legion Of Doom. Sean throws it to comments from the Natural Disasters with their manager, Jimmy Hart, as well as comments from the Hawk & Animal. Jimmy Hart & the Natural Disasters talk about how one would think that this is yet another obstacle President Jack Tunney has put against them to keep them from being champions, but on the contrary, they love this! Earthquake talks about how he's going to break several records on the Richter Scale, while Typhoon says that meteorologists won't know what to think with all of the nasty weather coming Indiana's way at WrestleMania VIII when the Natural Disasters destroy three teams in one night to become the new WWF World Tag Team Champions. Hawk & Animal respond by saying that they have always snacked on danger, & dined on death, so they're not worried about this match at all. They've been in crazier matches than this, having fought inside two rings surrounded by domed cages, & fighting on top of scaffolds, so this will be a walk in the park for them at WrestleMania VIII. Not so much for their three sets of opponents, however. "OOOOOOOHH... WHAT A RUSH!" Sean Mooney hard sells once again to the fans about ordering WrestleMania VIII on Pay-Per-View before it is too late. COMMERCIAL BREAK -We see a brief clip from Monday Night Raw this past week of the Warlord & Hercules beating down Crush, only for the Big Boss Man to run them off. Gorilla Monsoon recaps how Harvey Wippleman turned out to be a liar when Crush said that he never met Harvey until this past Monday night. Warlord & Hercules attacked Crush, busting him wide open, then the Big Boss Man made the save. Bobby Heenan chimes in & says that Crush wasted the best chance he had to ride "easy street" in the WWF, & Harvey Wippleman sent in some pre-recorded comments directed not only at Crush, but the Big Boss Man as well. Gorilla asked Bobby why he was smiling about that, & the Brain said "Just wait until what Harvey says. He told me, & it's a doozy." Harvey Wippleman: "Crush, you wasted the opportunity of a lifetime! First of all, this past Monday night may have been the first time I ever met you in person, but I did call your phone number & left a message on your answering machine. And I had more than a few friends tell me that you got the message & seemed interested. Then you go off & try to humiliate me in front of a national television audience? That doesn't sit right with me, & when you mess with me, you mess with the Warlord & Hercules, as you found out. The only reason you weren't hurt any worse was because the Big Boss Man stuck his nose where it didn't belong! Boss Man, this had nothing to do with you, but you decided to stick your nose in anyway. Well it just so happens that an old friend of yours has been training for a career in the WWF, & he has already hired me to be his manager. But this isn't just any old friend of yours, Boss Man. This is someone you had locked up for crimes he didn't commit. He is an innocent man, but you abused your power & used your connections to get this man locked up over some petty grudge. During that whole time he's been locked up, he's worked out, he's fought & beat the tar out of actual real criminals, & he is getting out very soon. Boss Man, you better have eyes in the back of your head because this man is on his way to the WWF, & he's coming for you." Gorilla Monsoon can't believe what he's heard, asking Bobby Heenan if President Jack Tunney is really letting an ex-convict enter the WWF. Heenan counters that the man has served his time, & besides, he's an innocent man, as Harvey Wippleman just said. Gorilla asks Heenan if he really takes Harvey's word for it, & the Brain says "You heard him yourself, didn't you?" Gorilla responds "That's what I'm afraid of." -The Headshrinkers w/Afa def. John Kronus & Tony Roy by pinfall with the Samoan Splash. Afa banged Fatu & Samu's heads together several times, but they didn't need any motivation to tear apart their opposition this week. John Kronus tried to put up a fight & even managed to tag out to Tony Roy, but that's when things went from bad to worse as Fatu & Samu destroyed Roy. Gorilla Monsoon took the time to talk about the fight the Bushwhackers put up against the Headshrinkers last weekend on Superstars, but Bobby Heenan pointed out how not even the Bushwhackers could stop Fatu & Samu. Gorilla then pointed out that the Headshrinkers took a shortcut with Afa distracting the referee & Butch to allow Fatu, who wasn't legal, to take out Luke. Bobby Heenan said that was Butch's fault for not keeping his eyes on the match, while Gorilla said the Headshrinkers are double dangerous because they're savages yet smart at the same time. It wasn't long before Samu stood against the corner, with Fatu climbing to the top turnbuckle & flying off the top & crashing down hard on Tony Roy with the Samoan Splash. Samu cut John Kronus off to prevent him from breaking up the pin as the Headshrinkers picked up another win. After showing some replays from the match, Gorilla says that it's time for the Funeral Parlor. ::The Funeral Parlor:: Paul Bearer: "Weeeelllcome, welcome to my Funeral Parlor. Recently, there have been some issues within our close knit family, & it was time that we cleared the air. Please welcome my guest this week... Jake "The Snake" Roberts." Jake's theme plays throughout the arena as he makes his way to the stage of the Funeral Parlor, but he is not alone. Along with him is Papa Shango, which seems to puzzle Paul Bearer. Gorilla Monsoon is wondering what business does Papa Shango have out here as Jake Roberts was scheduled to be the guest, to which Bobby Heenan says he's staying out of this one. "Next thing you know, my chair might catch on fire. You want to question Jake Roberts & Papa Shango, you do it yourself." Paul asks Jake just what Papa Shango is doing out here. Jake smirks & says he'll answer Paul's question with one of his own. "Where's the Undertaker? Hiding because he knows he made a big mistake by interfering in my business last weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event?" With that, one of the wooden caskets that is stood up on the stage opens up, & the Undertaker walks out. He approaches the other three & says "You rang?" Papa Shango chimes in, "Now that we are all here, let us find out just what the problem is." Paul Bearer reminisces about how Jake "The Snake" Roberts was at a crossroads, & nobody else would listen to him except for the Undertaker & Paul Bearer. They formed an alliance, & immediately turned the WWF upside down. Paul Bearer then points his finger at Papa Shango. Paul Bearer: "But then you came along, & ever since then, nothing has quite been the same. My Undertaker & I both have noticed that you have lost a step, Jake." Jake looks around as if he's thinking that maybe Paul Bearer has a point here. The Undertaker: "Jake Roberts... You don't need that charlatan who claims to have supernatural powers. You already have friends in Paul Bearer & myself. You know of the power that we possess, while that man you have recently been aligned with is an outright fraud." Papa Shango: "You look here, Undertaker! You will not speak such untruths about the power of Papa Shango! You will not lie about the power of voodoo! You are lucky that I am not demonstrating my power directly on you & Paul Bearer right now for your insolence. After all, I am saving that for my Barbarian to take care of at WrestleMania. Now behold, the power that I possess!" Papa Shango raises his arms in the air, holding his staff high in the air as he screams aloud. Next thing you know, black ooze is pouring down the wooden casket that the Undertaker walked out of earlier. Gorilla Monsoon acknowledges that he's a little nervous right now, to which Bobby Heenan says "See what I told you, Monsoon?!" Paul Bearer & the Undertaker look, but they shake their heads as they are not impressed. Paul Bearer tells Papa Shango to look inside the other casket that is lying down on the stage. Shango looks annoyed, but he obliges as the Undertaker opens the casket, showing Shango a life-like wax image of himself. Shango looks a bit disturbed, as does Jake, who seems to be struggling with whose side he is on. Paul Bearer: "Jake, it's not too late to turn away from the evil ways of Papa Shango. Whatever spell he has you under, we know you can break out of it. And if you need help breaking free, we can help you." -The fans are cheering Jake on to break free from Papa Shango's spell as the Undertaker, still standing by the casket, has his left hand rested on the casket while stretching out his right hand, motioning Jake to come over & shake his hand. Papa Shango simply shakes his head, disgusted that Jake seems to realize that he had taken a turn for the worst & it is time to turn his life around... only for Jake to slam the casket door down on the Undertaker's hand! Jake locks the casket as Papa Shango raises his arms & bellows aloud with evil laughter. Paul Bearer looks shocked, not knowing what to do as Jake yanks the urn right out of Paul's hands, shouting "Is this the so-called power you possess?!" Jake arrogantly tosses it aside as Paul Bearer & Undertaker helplessly look on. Jake grabs Paul in a front facelock, then brings him down on the stage with his patented DDT! Undertaker has his one free hand out, as if to plead for Paul Bearer to get back up. Road agents such as Rene Goulet, Tony Garea, & the recently hired Bill Eadie run out to try several keys that they found to see if they can free the Undertaker's hand from the casket. That's when Jake grabs the mic & asks "You guys want the key? I have the key, gentlemen. Trust me." Papa Shango gives Jake Roberts a key, & Gorilla Monsoon says "Jake was never under any spell, Brain!" In a rare moment of agreement, Bobby Heenan says "Nope! It's obvious that Jake made this decision to align himself with Papa Shango all on his own!" Jake takes the key & opens the casket, & the Undertaker won't allow the road agents to check on his injured hand, & instead he goes to check on Paul Bearer. That's when the Barbarian comes out from another wooden that is on the opposite side of the stage from Undertaker's own wooden casket. Undertaker turns right in time for Barbarian to nail him with another running big boot. Bobby Heenan: "He just him with the Kick of Fear, Gorilla!" Gorilla Monsoon: "This was a setup, Brain!" Bobby Heenan: "It was, & I love it! That is what Paul Bearer & the Undertaker get for trying to double cross Ric Flair!" Gorilla Monsoon: "What do you & Ric Flair have to do with it?!" Bobby Heenan: "Nothing! I'm just saying that they deserve it because they tried to double cross Ric Flair! They were not fair to Flair!" The Barbarian kicks the Undertaker while he is down, making sure he can't get up as the road agents yell at them to go away. Barbarian shoots a threatening glare at them, & they are smart enough to back off. He gives a cheap kick down onto Paul Bearer as well as Jake Roberts continues his promo on the mic. Jake Roberts: "Paul Bearer & the Undertaker should've known not to double cross me. I reached out to Papa Shango because I knew that Paul Bearer, the Undertaker & myself could become even more powerful with his help. When he told me of his recruitment of the Barbarian, I couldn't have been happier. But Gomez Addams & Lurch over here couldn't trust the plan. I had a plan, & they ruined it by shunning Papa Shango. They further ruined it by going back on our deal that we made with Ric Flair. Now believe me when I say that Ric Flair is no friend of mine, but a deal is a deal, & these two went back on that deal. So now they are going to have to pay. And Undertaker, if you ever want to get your hands on me or even Papa Shango, you will have to go through every obstacle that we put in front of you." Jake throws the mic down as Papa Shango bellows aloud with even more evil laughter. The road agents go to check on Paul Bearer & the Undertaker as the trio of heels walk off. Gorilla disgustingly says "What a group of low-lifes, Brain." Bobby Heenan responds, "You heard what Jake said. A deal is a deal, & you never go back on a deal, especially one made by that man." The camera focuses its main attention on Jake to show the fans watching at home that he is who Bobby Heenan is referring to. COMMERCIAL BREAK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Wlin4njKek ::WrestleMania VIII Report:: -We go to the WWF Control Room where Gene Okerlund is standing by with the WrestleMania VIII Report. He reminds us that WrestleMania will be coming to you live from the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana, & the only way you can see it is on a Pay-Per-View basis! Gene Okerlund: "And folks, what about the news that Vince McMahon announced this past Monday night? The Monday night before WrestleMania VIII, tune in & catch the special 2-hour edition of 'Monday Night Raw: The March To WrestleMania!' And then, the night after WrestleMania, we will be live in Hammond, Indiana, for a special 2-hour edition of Monday Night Raw as well. And it will be the first Monday Night Raw hosted outside of New York City! Folks, I can't wait. Now let's run down the card as it is right now." With that, Gene starts running down the current WrestleMania card, starting with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. Shawn Michaels. Gene wonders if the referee will be able to maintain control of this match considering what happened on Monday Night Raw, not to mention that Miss Genie tends to stick her nose where it doesn't belong. Next up, he talks about the first ever Four Corners Tag Team Elimination match for the WWF World Tag Team Titles, with the Beverly Brothers scheduled to defend against the Natural Disasters, the Legion Of Doom, & the team of Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Then the Von Erichs are scheduled to team up against the Orient Express, who will have Mr. Fuji in their corner. Mean Gene says that all of that could change as coming up after the WrestleMania VIII Report, the Beverly Brothers defend the WWF World Tag Team Championship against the Von Erichs. So what happens if the Von Erichs win the titles? Hopefully we find out soon enough. There's still more to unpack as Gene talks about the WWF Women's Championship Battle Royal, featuring the trio of Violent Beauty, Wendi Richter, Tori & Vine; Misty Blue; Rockin' Robin; Cheryl Rusa; Denise Storm; Peggy Lee Leather; the Nasty Girls, consisting of Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux; Penny Mitchell & Sindy Paradise. Now more names have been announced for that battle royal: from the Land of the Rising Sun, the duo of Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda. Gene says he has seen video footage of those two, & believes that the rest of the competition are in for a tough night having to deal with the likes of Mita & Shimoda. Gene then announces that Candi Devine has been added to the field, as well as the returning Velvet McIntyre. Candice Pardue & Allison Royal have also been added, & Gene says there are two more names yet to be announced! Also on hand will be Bret Hart challenging "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase in a rematch for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. We hear comments from the Hitman, who talks about the many hurdles he has faced throughout his career in the WWF. He's overcome every single one, but there seems to be one obstacle he can't seem to overcome, & that's Ted DiBiase. Bret references being defeated on Thanksgiving night at the 1990 Survivor Series as DiBiase was the sole survivor in that match, a match he had dedicated to his late brother Dean who had passed away the day before. Then came the double count out on Saturday Night's Main Event last year, & then a time limit draw at Madison Square Garden. And now the Royal Rumble, where DiBiase used an illegal foreign object to knock out the Hitman. Bret says that history won't repeat itself. He will overcome this obstacle, & he will show Ted DiBiase why the Hitman is known as the "Excellence of Execution." Gene informs us that this match has just been announced in light of what happened on Monday Night Raw when Repo Tax jumped "El Matador" Tito Santana & Virgil from behind, repossessing Tito's matador hat in the process. It will be the team of Repo Tax, consisting of Repo Man & the first ever WWF Television Champion Irwin R. Schyster, taking on the team of Virgil & "El Matador" Tito Santana. Gene Okerlund: "And after what happened earlier in the Funeral Parlor, one has to wonder what condition the Undertaker & Paul Bearer will be in when the Undertaker takes on the Barbarian, with Papa Shango in his corner. Folks, these matches that I have announced so far already make this a WrestleMania that you can't miss, & I haven't announced the Double Main Event! First, Hulk Hogan takes on Sid Justice! Right now, these two seem to be on good terms again, thanks in part to Hulk's good friend, Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake, who informed Hogan about how it was not Sid Justice, but rather the Beverly Brothers that attacked him with a steel chair last week on Saturday Night's Main Event. Right now, let's hear from the Hulkster." We go to a new promo from Hulk Hogan on Sid Justice for their match at WrestleMania VIII. Hogan talks about how there are now five weeks left to go before WrestleMania, & says that he has no regrets wanting to take this match against Sid Justice rather than lobby to be the one to challenge for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Hulk Hogan: "Can I make a case for challenging Ric Flair for the title because of the fact that I should have never been stripped of the title in the first place? Sure I can. But you know what, Hulkamaniacs? Sometimes in life, you come to a crossroads. You begin to wonder if you should keep going on the road that you've been on, or if you should try a different path. For over eight years, I've been traveling that road of being the best, fighting hard to stay at the top, & getting back on that saddle when I was pushed down. But I'd be lying if I said that my last reign as champion was the greatest time of my life. From getting hounded by yellow journalists wanting to take down Hulkamania for mistakes in my past, to all of the challengers I faced in defending the title, to having to be away from my family because of constantly being on the road, which is the price you pay to be the champion. All the stress, all the nonsense, all the chaos, it made me want to prove to all of the doubters out there that I still have what it takes to be the absolute best in this business. So Sid Justice, my question to you is this: What'cha gonna do, when Hulkamania, runs wild all over you?!" Gene then announces the other half of the Double Main Event, where we will see Ric Flair defend the WWF World Heavyweight Title against "Macho Man" Randy Savage. With that, we hear from Mr. Perfect & Ric Flair. They ask Randy Savage what is he thinking by challenging the Nature Boy? Last time he was in the ring with Ric Flair when it came down to the two of them at the Royal Rumble, Macho Man almost permanently injured his knee & was this close to a second retirement. Not to mention how busy the Macho Man has been fighting rivals such as Jake Roberts. Mr. Perfect: "You know, Ric, it makes me wonder: just how much does the Macho Man have left in the tank?" Ric Flair: "Well it's certainly not enough to face me for the most prestigious prize in this sport. And guess who else knows that Randy doesn't have enough left in the tank?" Mr. Perfect: "Who's that, Ric?" Ric Flair: "Why Elizabeth, who else?" Mr. Perfect & Ric Flair laugh as Flair then goes on to insinuate that he & Elizabeth at one time were an item, & how her favorite amusement park ride had always been Space Mountain. Ric Flair: "That's right, Macho Man! Elizabeth was mine before she was yours! And that time you two were split up before being reunited? She wanted to go to the park to ride Space Mountain one more time! She's damaged goods, Savage! And very soon, you will see that I have the pictures to prove it! WOOOOOOOOOO!" Gene Okerlund is appalled by the allegations that Ric Flair just made, saying that he knows Macho Man & Elizabeth very well, & he for one does not believe any of what Ric Flair said for a millisecond! Mean Gene says that Ric Flair may have just made a mistake by making this match personal. One more hard sell to the fans to remind them to order WrestleMania VIII on Pay-Per-View, & Gene then informs us that up next, the Beverly Brothers defend the WWF World Tag Team Titles against the Von Erichs! COMMERCIAL BREAK -The Von Erichs make their way to the ring while Gorilla Monsoon says it's going to be hard to focus on this big feature match after hearing the allegations Mr. Perfect & Ric Flair made, which he says he doesn't believe for one second. Bobby Heenan begs to differ, reminding Gorilla of how quickly Elizabeth managed Hulk Hogan when Randy Savage didn't want her as a manager for awhile. Gorilla reminds the Brain that Elizabeth's managerial dealings have always been business, & besides, Hogan & Savage have mended their fences. After the lovely Mike McGuirk announces the Von Erichs, the Genius leads the Beverly Brothers down to the ring as McGuirk makes their introductions. The Genius is about to read a poem when the Von Erichs knock him down with a double dropkick to the back. Gorilla Monsoon: "Oh I love it!" Bobby Heenan: "Typical Texans, attacking somebody from behind!" WWF World Tag Team Championship: The Von Erichs (Challengers) vs. The Beverly Brothers w/The Genius (Champions) The Genius rolls out of the ring as the Brothers Beverly take exception to the blindside attack, but the Von Erichs are ready as they get the better of the Beverlys to start the match. Beau & Blake roll out of the ring as Kevin & Kerry play to the crowd to get them pumped up. The Genius has managed to pick himself back up & regroups with Beau & Blake. He tries to map out some strategy on his mortar board, but Kevin & Kerry go outside the ring. Kerry grabs a hold of the back of Beau Beverly's head & the Genius' head, while Kevin also manages to grab a hold of the back of the Genius' head along with Blake Beverly's head. The end result is a triple noggin knocker. The Von Erichs maintain control of the match for the next several minutes until Kevin makes a mistake by ducking down for an overhead back body drop too soon, allowing Blake Beverly to take him down with a swinging neckbreaker. The Beverly Brothers take control of the match, & we have to take a commercial break, with Gorilla Monsoon promising that if we somehow miss the end, it will be shown in its entirety upon the return from break. COMMERCIAL BREAK Back from break, & Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan recap how the Beverly Brothers have had control of the match since that mistake by Kevin Von Erich earlier. The Beverly Brothers manage to cut the ring in half, provoking Kerry to enter the ring on several occasions when they taunt him, allowing themselves to make switches behind referee Danny Davis' back because he's tied up trying to get Kerry back to his corner. Gorilla tells the Brain & the fans at home that during the break, someone informed him that should the titles change hands, President Jack Tunney would make a ruling next week right here on Wrestling Challenge. Bobby Heenan asks why President Tunney couldn't make it later this weekend on Superstars or this Monday night on Monday Night Raw, & Gorilla says that a decision of this magnitude requires a lot of time for President Jack Tunney to go over everything & make the right call. Meanwhile, Kevin Von Erich is fighting back as the crowd cheers him on, & he nails Beau Beverly with a jawbreaker. Beau staggers over to tag in Blake Beverly, but Kevin jumps over & tags in Kerry to wild cheers from the crowd! Kerry is like a wild man as he beats up on both Blake & Beau Beverly. The Genius hops onto the ring apron, & Kerry decks him with a Tornado Punch to more wild cheers from the audience! Bobby Heenan: "That hick just decked a professor!" Gorilla Monsoon: "Professor of what? How to get your clock cleaned?" Bobby Heenan: "Oh I hope the Beverly Brothers make Kerry Von Erich pay for that cheap shot!" Kerry has the match going his way when he goes to hit Blake Beverly with a Tornado Punch, only for Blake to duck, resulting in Kerry accidentally hitting referee Danny Davis. It's an all out brawl now as all four men get into the ring, but the Von Erichs once again regain control of the match as the crowd cheers them on. Kevin dropkicks Beau Beverly out of the ring, while Kerry locks Blake in the Iron Claw! The fans start to boo as Mr. Fuji appears from behind the curtain & makes his way down to the ring. Gorilla Monsoon: "What business does he have out here, Brain?!" Bobby Heenan: "Probably scouting both teams since he doesn't know who the Orient Express will face at WrestleMania." Kevin spots Mr. Fuji, & Kerry tells Kevin to go take care of Fuji because he's got this match taken care of, with Kerry now having Blake down on the mat, still locked in the Iron Claw. Kevin exits the ring to confront Fuji while Kerry tries to revive referee Danny Davis, who is starting to stir a bit. The fans are screaming for Kerry to turn around as Pat Tanaka & Kato run in from the crowd, slide into the ring & clock Kerry with a double dose of thrust kicks to the chin! Pat Tanaka picks Kerry up & delivers a vicious chop to the throat while Kato knocks him out with an enziguri to the back of the head. The Orient Express roll out of the ring & exit through the crowd. Meanwhile, Mr. Fuji backs off, acting as if Kevin's threats to kick his tail mean something. Beau Beverly is reviving referee Danny Davis as Blake Beverly rolls over to make the pin. Gorilla Monsoon: "Come on! Somebody get out there & stop Danny Davis from making the count! He didn't see anything that happened because he was knocked out!" Bobby Heenan: "If anything, he should award this bout to the Beverly Brothers by disqualification!" Gorilla Monsoon: "Why?!" Bobby Heenan: "Kerry decked him on purpose, Monsoon." Gorilla Monsoon: "HE DID NOT!" Kevin is jaw-jacking with Mr. Fuji, saying "Yeah, go on back, you coward! You're nothing without your goons!" Meanwhile, referee Danny Davis rolls over & sees Blake covering Kerry with one arm over his chest. "ONE..." Gorilla Monsoon: "No! Kevin, turn around & stop yelling at Mr. Fuji!" "TWO..." Kevin turns around & sees what's happening & starts running, but he's halfway from the ring! "THREE!" Winners by pinfall & STILL WWF World Tag Team Champions: The Beverly Brothers Kevin slides in & realizes it's too late as Beau & the Genius help Blake out of the ring, the heels holding the Tag Title belts up high in victory as Kevin goes to check on Kerry. Kevin is asking referee Danny Davis what happened, but Danny is still a bit fuzzy as he regrets to inform Kevin that he has no clue what happened. Kerry is starting to stir a bit as we see what happened on instant replay. Gorilla is disgusted & says "Let's go to the Event Center with Sean Mooney." ::Event Center:: -Sean Mooney is sitting by in the Event Center, with the WWF production screens behind him as he says he cannot believe what just occurred, but things are only going to get more heated as the WWF tag team division keeps getting more competitive. With that in mind, Sean Mooney throws it to a promo from Afa & the Headshrinkers, saying that we picked up these comments before their match this week. Fatu & Samu are acting all weird, looking at a piece of raw chicken & trying to figure out who's going to eat it while Afa warns all of the tag teams in the WWF that while they no longer have to worry about stepping foot in the ring with the Wild Samoans now that he is retired, they are in for an even worse night as they will have to step foot in the ring against his Headshrinkers, Fatu & Samu. Fatu & Samu take turns delivering worked headbutts, acting as if they like receiving the punishment from each other! Afa yells at them to stop, then he grabs them both by the head & brings them together with a double noggin knocker, which they enjoy as well. They laugh & scream as Afa laughs & tells the other tag teams that their time is up. Sean Mooney is appalled by the actions of Afa & the Headshrinkers, but he says that if there's anybody that can go toe-to-toe with them, it's the Bushwhackers. We hear comments from Luke & Butch, who discuss the recent match they had on Superstars against the Headshrinkers. Luke & Butch say that Fatu & Samu are bad, but they're not so bad because they needed some extra help to beat them. The Bushwhackers say that they can be just as wild as the Headshrinkers, & they can't wait to get a rematch with them & chew them up like a can of sardines. Back to Sean Mooney, who says he looks forward to a rematch between the two wild & unorthodox tag teams. He throws it to break as the segment comes to an end. PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING It's the end of the show, which means that it's time for Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan to run down next week's lineup. We will see the Wrestling Challenge debut of Crush, who has been medically cleared to compete. Bobby Heenan: "And also in action next week, 'The Rocket' Owen Hart!" Gorilla Monsoon: "It's not Owen Hart! It's the Blue Blazer!" Bobby Heenan: "Oh don't tell me you believe that garbage too!" Gorilla Monsoon: "I do, & I can also tell you that the Bushwhackers will be in action next week." Bobby Heenan: "And how about this, Gorilla?! A double feature next week!" Gorilla Monsoon: "That's right! Irwin R. Schyster defends the WWF Television Championship next week against 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan, & that's if he can get past Koko B. Ware later this weekend on Superstars. And also next week, Rick 'The Model' Martel takes on, get this... Hulk Hogan!" Bobby Heenan: "Let me tell you this right now. Hulk Hogan is looking at this as a tune-up match for his big WrestleMania encounter against Sid Justice. Hogan, Rick Martel is no tune-up." Gorilla Monsoon: "Oh I don't think the Hulkster is looking past Rick 'The Model' Martel at all, Brain. He knows what Martel is capable of & will be completely focused on him next week." Bobby Heenan: "I guess we'll just wait & see then." Gorilla Monsoon: "For the Brain, I'm Gorilla Monsoon saying so long, folks!"
  9. That sounds pretty close. What amazed me was how she, Bayley & Asuka were able to work together so well to pull off an improvised finish. On a more serious note & sticking to the topic, get better, Togg! Glad that you're alive! 😊
  10. Thank you for the pics, @Old School Fan @Kubikiri Asa already has an enhanced version of the Vine cut in his latest AmP Graphics pack, but I don't recall seeing the Hollywood cut in there. Using both, anywho!
  11. WWF Monday Night Raw Monday, Wk 3, February 1992 Manhattan Center, New York City Attendance: 1,200 (Sell out!) Dark Matches: -Jim Powers def. "Playboy" Buddy Rose by pinfall with the High Angle Powerslam. -Velvet McIntyre def. Allison Royal by pinfall with the McIntyre Roll. Main Show: -We open up with video footage from the closing moments of this past Saturday Night's Main Event. Vince McMahon provides a voice over about how Jake "The Snake" Roberts was waiting behind the curtain to clobber either Macho Man or Elizabeth with a chair. The voice over stops & we see the rest of the footage play out as it did this past Saturday night on FOX, with the Undertaker stopping Jake & knocking him down, followed by Macho Man slamming the chair across Jake's back. Monday Night Raw Intro! -Vince McMahon welcomes us like only he can after the show intro. Vince: "There seems to be more questions than answers as it relates to the Undertaker & Jake Roberts! The Million Dollar Man retained his Intercontinental Title against Jim Neidhart! Bret Hart got revenge against the Mountie! Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice nearly took each other's heads off after the Beverly Brothers stirred up trouble by getting themselves disqualified in order to save their Tag Team Titles! And Irwin R. Schyster is the first ever WWF Television Champion! And after all that went down in Lubbock, Texas, we head back north as we are live from the Manhattan Center in New York City, where tonight, Shawn Michaels will go one-on-one with 'El Matador' Tito Santana! Eddie Gilbert: "And that's not all, Vin-Daddy! Tonight, after being challenged this past weekend by the Three Stoogettes of Misty Blue, Rockin' Robin & Cheryl Rusa, Violent Beauty will appear live on the Brother Love Show tonight to give their answer!" Vince: "And also tonight, Mean Gene Okerlund will give us our first WrestleMania VIII Report to announce some of the matches that will take place at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana!" Crush Theme Vince: "And we're kicking the night off with the debut of Crush, who Harvey Wippleman claims to have signed to a contract to be his manager, but I have my doub..." Crush comes out from behind the curtain & slaps hands with fans on the way to the ring, but following behind him is Harvey Wippleman. Eddie: "I told you, Vin-Daddy, that Crush signed a contract with Harvey Wippleman!" Vince: "I cant' believe I'm saying this, but Harvey Wippleman just might have been right after all. But I can't help but notice that Crush has yet to see Harvey behind him, & Harvey is even staying over by the curtain." Eddie: "They're just playing it cool, Vin-Daddy." There is a short pause in commentary as Vince & Eddie put their TV mics down & go to sit down at the broadcast table at ringside while Howard Finkel announces Crush's hapless opponent for tonight, Brian Donahue. -Crush def. Brian Donahue by submission with the Cranium Crush. Harvey stayed by the entrance area, grinning from ear to ear & telling everyone who would listen that this was his biggest catch yet. Vince noted that Gene Okerlund had been dispatched from the WWF Control Room so that he could interview Crush & Harvey Wippleman to get this thing about whether or not Harvey is Crush's manager resolved once & for all. Crush didn't waste any time displaying his raw power & defeating Brian Donahue with ease by submission, putting his hands around Donahue's head, hoisting him up & slamming him down into a seated position. Eddie Gilbert proclaimed on commentary that he heard that move was known as the Cranium Crush, & Vince McMahon said that Brian Donahue's head was crushed indeed. -Crush is celebrating, telling the fans he loves them in Hawaiian sign language as Harvey enters the ring, all smiles as he gestures his hands in Crush's directions & tells the fans that he is Crush's new manager. To clear this whole thing up, Gene Okerlund makes his way into the ring, microphone in hand as Vince McMahon throws it to him. Gene congratulates Harvey on signing someone like Crush, who looks like he's going to climb the ladder quickly in the WWF. What Gene says catches Crush's attention as he looks like he has no clue what Gene is talking about. Harvey is bragging, but Crush interrupts & says that he never signed a contract with Harvey Wippleman to some nice cheers from the fans. Gene: "Wait a second, Crush. Harvey claims that he negotiated with you & signed you to a contract, yet you are telling me that he is not your manager?" Crush: "Gene, Brah, this is the first time I even met Harvey." Harvey: "Don't listen to him, Chrome Dome. He's just nervous is all, isn't that right, Crush?" Crush: "Like I said, I never even met you until now. And if lying like you're doing right now is what you do, then I'm glad you never approached me to be my manager. In fact, I don't think you could manage a lemonade stand!" That gets some cheers & laughter from the audience as Harvey is embarrassed & enraged. Vince McMahon is loving this, while Eddie Gilbert is indignant & can't believe that Crush would flush the opportunity of a lifetime down the drain. Harvey yells at Crush, then slaps him. Crush feels his face for a moment, then gets enraged & grabs a hold of a now frightened Harvey Wippleman as Gene Okerlund proclaims that he's getting out of dodge before things really get heated. Crush is holding Harvey by his suit jacket & tells him to never put his hands on him like that ever again. Harvey is begging for his life as Crush is asking him if he understands, & that's when the Warlord runs in & blasts Crush from behind with his signature Warlord staff. Warlord hit Crush so hard that the W on the staff flew off, but not into the crowd, thankfully. This doesn't seem to phase, Crush, however, as he turns around & dukes it out with the Warlord. Hercules runs in as Crush punches Warlord down to the canvas. Crush turns around & right into Hercules running & blasting him with his signature chain, knocking the Kona native down to the canvas. Warlord & Herc proceed to beat Crush down, who has now been cut open on his forehead thanks to Hercules hitting him in the head with the chain. Vince McMahon is wondering who is going to do something about this while Eddie Gilbert says if he was security, he wouldn't get in the way of the Warlord & Hercules either. The Big Boss Man runs down to the ring & blasts both Warlord & Hercules with his night stick, causing them to get out of the ring & live to fight another day. Boss Man shouts at them to get back in the ring & fight like men while Eddie Gilbert is angry & asks just what the Boss Man was doing in New York tonight since he didn't have a match. Vince McMahon told Eddie that the Boss Man attended a charity event today for the Make A Wish Foundation & decided to hang out with his friends in the World Wrestling Federation tonight. Eddie Gilbert: "Hanging out with friends or not, this was none of the Big Boss Man's business, Vin-Daddy!" Vince McMahon: "I beg to differ, Eddie. Crush was being attacked two on one, & somebody had to do something about it." Boss Man checks on Crush & helps him up while Crush wipes some of the blood off his forehead. He sees his own blood & is seething with anger, telling Boss Man he wants to get his hands on Warlord & Hercules, but Boss Man tells him that he needs to get checked out by a doctor. Vince McMahon: "Other than some blood, it looks like Crush will be alright. Stick around because coming up next, Sensational Sherri presents Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags, the Nasty Boys!" Eddie Gilbert: "And still to come, Vin-Daddy: the Brother Love Show with his guests, Violent Beauty!" COMMERCIAL BREAK -The Nasty Boys w/Sensational Sherri def. Mike Bell & Scott Taylor by pinfall after hitting the Trip To Nastyville. As Sensational Sherri led the Nasty Boys down to the ring, Vince McMahon made it a point to promote a special 2-hour edition of Monday Night Raw the week before WrestleMania VIII, better known as "Monday Night Raw: The March To WrestleMania." And the night after WrestleMania VIII will be a special 2-hour edition as well, & Vince noted how it would be the first time that Monday Night Raw would take place outside of New York as the Raw after WrestleMania will take place from the Hammond Civic Center in Hammond, Indiana. "Folks in Hammond, get your tickets when they go on sale this coming Friday because they will not last long!" proclaimed Vince. Back to the match, & Knobbs & Sags wasted no time in beating the tar out of Mike Bell & Scott Taylor. Eddie Gilbert talked about how the Nasty Boys seemed to be more dangerous now that Sensational Sherri was their manager, so of course Vince McMahon asked Eddie if he was implying that Jimmy Hart was a bad manager for the Nasty Boys. Eddie Gilbert: "Don't you put words in my mouth! They were dangerous with Jimmy Hart as their manager. I'm just saying they're even more dangerous now." Vince McMahon: "Whatever the case may be, I'd like to know what business did they have getting involved in helping the Million Dollar Man retain the Intercontinental Title against Jim Neidhart this past Saturday night." Eddie Gilbert: "Hey, they don't call him the Million Dollar Man for nothing." Jerry Sags grabs Scott Taylor & rubs his face into Brian Knobbs' arm pit. Vince is disgusted while Eddie Gilbert proclaims that Scott Taylor's face needed to make a pit stop. Sensational Sherri is laughing it up as Sags tags Knobbs in for Knobbs to get in a few more shots in on Scott Taylor. Knobbs hoists Taylor up on his shoulders, then goes over to tag Sags. Sags climbs to the top turnbuckle, & Knobbs runs & brings Taylor down with a running powerslam. Sags flies off the top rope with a flying elbow drop, completing the Trip To Nastyville & getting an easy one... two... three. Vince: "An easy win for the Nasty Boys, but it won't be so easy when they eventually will have to deal with the likes of High Power, & maybe even the Blue Blazer." Eddie Gilbert: "If that's the case, it's no wonder the Nasty Boys have aligned themselves with the Mountie, because that basket case, Owen Hart, would likely snap & do all sorts of harm to Knobbs & Sags." Vince McMahon: "What are you talking about? Owen Hart is suspended, & we all saw both Owen Hart & the Blue Blazer meeting each other this past Saturday night." Eddie Gilbert: "Oh don't start that baloney again!" Vince McMahon: "Right now, let's go to Sean Mooney, who is in the balcony tonight, standing by with a special guest. Sean?" We go to the balcony area, where we see Sean Mooney standing by with none other than Hillbilly Jim. Sean asked Jim what brought him to Raw tonight, & Jim put over how he too was in town to help represent the WWF in helping the Make A Wish Foundation, & figured he would get a ticket for the best seat in the house to watch the WWF as a fan for the first time in almost eight years. Sean asks Hillbilly Jim if he had gone to President Jack Tunney to protest the referee's decision of his match against Jerry "The King" Lawler last Monday night, & Jim said that while he would have loved to do that, he knew that the ref's decision was final & only the referee himself could reverse his decision. However, he has been wanting a rematch against Lawler, & the King seems nowhere to be found. Sean Mooney wishes Hillbilly Jim the best of luck in his return to the World Wrestling Federation, & Jim thanks Sean for stopping by. Eddie Gilbert: "Vin-Daddy, if that country bumpkin really thinks that Jerry 'The King' Lawler is hiding from him, then he's more delusional than I thought. Believe me, I know better than anyone that Jerry Lawler doesn't hide from anybody." Vince McMahon: "Be that as it may, we can see the ring attendants preparing the ring for the Brother Love Show as Brother Love will welcome Wendi Richter, Tori & Vine of Violent Beauty, & I was just handed a note about this weekend's Wrestling Challenge." Eddie Gilbert: "What's it say?" Vince McMahon: "This weekend's edition of the Heartbreak Hotel is being pre-empted as Paul Bearer has requested & has been granted air time to present the Funeral Parlor with his special guest, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts!" Eddie Gilbert: "What?! Shawn Michaels would conduct a much better & more fair interview than Paul Bearer!" Vince McMahon: "Fair interview? Shawn would be so biased in favor of Jake Roberts that we would never get any answers as to why Jake started acting the way he has recently with the Undertaker & Paul Bearer!" Eddie Giblert: "Biased?! What do you think Paul Bearer's interview on the Funeral Parlor is going to be like?! It'll make Diane Sawyer's reporting on Robert Tilton look like a fluff piece!" Vince McMahon: "Stay tuned, folks, as the Brother Love Show is up next!" COMMERCIAL BREAK ::Brother Love Show:: -"I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I LOOOOOOOOOOVE YOOOOUUUUUUUU!" proclaims Brother Love as he welcomes us to his show. He says that his guests tonight know the meaning of love, but no love has ever been shown to them. "Vine was always mistreated by so-called 'good girls.' Tori was never given the time of day by people she had once admired. And we all know Wendi Richter's story & how a crooked referee showed her absolutely no love. Ladies & gentlemen, please welcome Wendi Richter, Tori & Vine, better known as Violent Beauty!" Violent Beauty's theme hits as they make their way to the ring. Wendi Richter simply waves off the fans who are heckling her while Vine gladly taunts them. Tori just shoots threatening stares at anyone who would dare heckle her. Brother Love welcomes the female trio onto the show, & Wendi & Vine reciprocate the warm welcome. Tori just nods her head & doesn't say anything, & Brother Love, Wendi & Vine go on as if that's normal. Vince McMahon: "Tori can talk anytime she wants." Eddie Gilbert: "Not if some bucktooth beaver in the production truck is going to censor her." Vince McMahon: "Bucktooth beaver?" Brother Love goes on to talk to Violent Beauty about the recent challenge that Misty Blue, Rockin' Robin & Cheryl Rusa made recently. Wendi Richter & Vine say that they would love nothing more than to embarrass those three in a six-woman tag team match. Vine says that President Jack Tunney can make the match any time he wants because they want to tear those three delicate flowers apart, petal by petal. Wendi then chimes in. Wendi Richter: "Sadly, when we get through with the cast of Two Airheads & A Nerd, President Jack Tunney is going to have to find replacements for the WWF Women's Championship Battle Royal at WrestleMania VIII. Sorry to spoil the surprise, Vince." Vince McMahon: "Well, Mean Gene Okerlund was going to announce it during the WrestleMania Report, but yes, there is going to be a battle royal to crown a new WWF Women's Champion." Brother: "Sister Wendi, please bring these people up to speed about the WWF Women's Championship Battle Royal." Wendi Richter: "Gladly, Brother Love. First of all, I don't know why we're bothering with having a battle royal to crown a new Women's Champion because technically, I never lost the title to begin with. But leave it to a crooked referee & a woman in a mask to double cross me." Vince McMahon: "Not this again." Eddie Gilbert: "What? She's not blaming you, Vin-Daddy. Though I do want to know if you had..." Vince McMahon: "Can it, Eddie." Wendi Richter: "And then the ladies that came after me to win the WWF Women's Championship couldn't handle the schedule. They couldn't handle the pressure, so they left, & President Jack Tunney had no choice but to vacate the title. So that brings us to WrestleMania VIII, where there will be 20 women competing to become the next WWF Women's Champion, & not only will I be in this battle royal, but so will Tori & Vine." Brother Love asks Violent Beauty what happens when it comes down to the three of them, & without missing a beat, Vine says that she & Tori will eliminate themselves & crown Wendi Richter the rightful Women's Champion, with Tori nodding in agreement. Wendi confirms what Vine just said, & said that Tori & Vine's reward will be winning the soon-to-be-returning WWF Women's Tag Team Championship. Brother Love sounds excited & says that he's heard rumors that there will be a tournament to crown new Women's Tag Team Champions, & Vine says that the rumors are true, & that if President Jack Tunney & the WWF Championship Committee do the right thing, then she & Tori will be the #1 seed in the tournament. Eddie Gilbert: "Who needs Scheme Gene, Sean Moon Over My Hammy & Lord Alfred Fish & Chips? Those three bozos can't break any news, & Violent Beauty broke two stories right here on the Brother Love Show... And they're not even journalists!" Vince McMahon: "Calling them tabloid reporters would be an insult to tabloid reporters." Eddie Gilbert: "Who said anything about tabloid reporters?" Brother Love thanks Violent Beauty for appearing on the show & tells them that he looooooves all of them. COMMERCIAL BREAK WrestleMania Theme ::WrestleMania VIII Report:: -It is time for the WrestleMania VIII Report, with Mean Gene Okerlund standing by in the WWF Control Room. He confirms what Wendi Richter revealed about the WWF Women's Championship Battle Royal, & revealed a few more names besides Violent Beauty that will participate: Misty Blue; Rockin' Robin; Cheryl Rusa; Denise Storm; Peggy Lee Leather; the Nasty Girls, consisting of Linda Dallas & Kat LeRoux; Penny Mitchell; Sindy Paradise & more names to be revealed in the weeks to come. Other matches announced include: The Von Erichs vs. The Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji. A rematch for the WWF Intercontinental Championship as champion "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase defends against the former champion, Bret "Hitman" Hart. Gene Okerlund: "And for the first time ever in World Wrestling Federation history, there will be a new match that will be debuted at WrestleMania VIII. President Jack Tunney calls this a Four Corners Tag Team Match. There will be four teams, & there will be two coin tosses backstage before the match to determine which two teams get to start the match off. You can tag in anybody into the match, even someone who is not your tag team partner! A team is eliminated when their legal man is pinned, made to submit, gets counted out or is disqualified. And get this, fans: This match will be for the WWF World Tag Team Championship! It will be the Beverly Brothers defending against the Legion Of Doom, the Natural Disasters & the team of Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Now due to the unique nature of this Four Corners Tag Team bout, President Jack Tunney has ruled that the titles can change hands even if the champions are counted out or disqualified. So the Beverly Brothers won't be able to run away from this match." Gene continues to announce more matches, such as this one just made that pits the Barbarian, with Papa Shango in his corner, against the Undertaker, with Paul Bearer in his corner. Gene throws it to a promo from Paul Bearer & the Undertaker. Paul reminds the fans that this weekend, he will welcome Jake Roberts with open arms into his Funeral Parlor in the hopes that he & the Undertaker can get him to realize that Papa Shango is taking him down the wrong road. Paul continues, "And speaking of Papa Shango, that brings me to you & your henchman, the Barbarian. Ohhhh yes, you two made a grave mistake by getting involved & costing my Undertaker a chance to regain the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against Ric Flair this past Saturday night. But everything will be made right at WrestleMania, ohhhh yes!" The Undertaker gives a stern warning to Papa Shango, telling him not to cross him as he goes one-on-one against the Barbarian. "Because if you do, then the Barbarian will not be the only rotting corpse that the birds will feast upon at WrestleMania. Rest... in... peace." Mean Gene resumes the WrestleMania Report by reminding us of the double main event that features Hulk Hogan going up against Sid Justice, & Ric Flair defending the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Gene says that he is looking forward to a one-on-one matchup between Ric Flair & Randy Savage, & he hopes that there isn't a curfew at the Hoosier Dome because those two men could be fighting all night. Gene says that he's also looking forward to Hulk Hogan locking horns with Sid Justice, & he hopes that for the sake of the fans, who love both men, that these two won't tear each other apart. Gene throws it to promos from both Sid & Hogan. Sid Justice says that he accepts Hulk Hogan's apology for what transpired this past Saturday night, but says that is now twice that Hogan has lost his cool. Sid says that typically you get three strikes & you're out. But he acknowledges that he wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan. Sid tells Hogan that he's going to be upfront about this: he's going to be coming at Hogan with everything he's got, including the kitchen sink. He just hopes Hogan will do the same. We then go to Hogan's promo, & he says that he's glad to hear that Sid Justice is going to come at him with everything he's got, because he wouldn't want it any other way. He too will be coming at Sid with everything he's got, including the kitchen sink, & who knows... maybe even the frying pan as well. "Sid Justice, let's give these fans more than their money's worth & tear the house down, showing everyone why I am the "Immortal" Hulk Hogan, & why you are the future of this business. What are you, gonna do, Hoosier Dome, when the largest arms in the universe, & the baddest man in the WWF, lock horns & rumble all over you?!" Gene makes one last hard sell to the fans, reminding them to call their local cable companies now so that they can order WrestleMania VIII on a Pay-Per-View basis! He tells the fans to stay tuned because up next, Shawn Michaels, who will compete against "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at WrestleMania VIII, will take on "El Matador" Tito Santana in our feature match right here on Monday Night Raw! COMMERCIAL BREAK -Vince McMahon says that Shawn Michaels & Miss Genie are standing by backstage, ready to make their way to the ring, but before they do, he & Eddie Gilbert want to get a word from them via an in-house remote communications set up. We see Shawn Michaels & Miss Genie backstage on one side of the screen, & we see Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert sitting at the broadcast table on the other side of the screen. Vince asks Shawn what he's thinking about concerning his match against Tito Santana tonight, & Shawn says that he's going to send Tito back to the bullfighting ring that he came from, then he & Miss Genie will try to rectify the miscarriage of justice that has been perpetrated against them. Vince asks what he means, & Shawn says "McMannequin, you announced it yourself! My show, the Heartbreak Hotel, has been pre-empted for the Funeral Parlor. First of all, like Eddie Gilbert said earlier, Paul Bearer will not be a fair host to Jake Roberts like Miss Genie & I would be. Second of all, I bet this was something that Roddy Piper cooked up, wasn't it?" Eddie Gilbert: "Oh I'm sure Roddy Piper had something to do with it!" Miss Genie: "Yeah, we know why Roddy Piper would go to President Jack Tunney to get the Heartbreak Hotel pre-empted. He can't stand it that our show is better than his relic from the 80s, Piper's Pit. And too bad for Tito Santana, because Shawn is going to take out all his frustration on 'El Matador' tonight. And I'll be at ringside to make sure that Virgil doesn't stick his nose where it doesn't belong." After the interview, Shawn's theme music hits, & he & Miss Genie make their way down to ringside, ignoring fans that are heckling them as they go to the ring, arm in arm & talking to each other. After they enter the ring, "El Matador" Tito Santana & Virgil make their way down to ringside, high-fiving fans on the way to the ring. -Shawn Michaels w/Miss Genie vs. "El Matador" Tito Santana w/Virgil These two had a pretty good near 15-minute match that went back & forth, although some critics might feel that it could've been better. There were no bad chemistry issues, just that these two weren't putting on an epic five star classic. But it was not bad by any means, & the crowd seemed to enjoy what they were seeing. Tito had got off to a hot start, but Shawn would make a comeback after a scientific thumb to the eyes & took control of the match from there. Commercial break during the match, & when we came back, Tito fought his way back into the match, & Shawn would be up against the ropes, metaphorically speaking, before he regained control. However, Shawn made a mistake when he threw Tito into the ropes & ducked his head down too soon for a back body drop attempt, allowing Tito to leap frog over him, run the ropes, bounce off & come flying at Shawn, knocking him out with a Flying Forearm. Miss Genie knew what was next, so she quickly hopped up on the ring apron to distract the referee. Virgil came running around to yell at the ref that Tito had Shawn pinned for at least a ten count. Miss Genie hopped down off the apron & turned her attention to Virgil, & now these two were yelling back & forth at each other as the referee was yelling at them to get back to their corners. Meanwhile, Tito got up to try to get the ref's attention, but the ref told him to back off. Tito turned around & right into a Tear Drop Suplex from a recovered Shawn Michaels, & now Shawn had Tito pinned, but no ref to count. Shawn was visibly upset & got up to get in the ref's face, but the ref told him to back off. During all of this confusion, Miss Genie took it upon herself to slap Virgil in the face, with Vince McMahon yelling "What did she do that for?!" Eddie Gilbert replied "Virgil must have made a pass at Miss Genie!" "HE DID NOT!" yelled Vince McMahon. Virgil shook his head & pointed his finger at Miss Genie, telling her that he was a gentleman & won't do anything to her, but she should never slap anyone else like that again. Shawn got distracted & reached out for Virgil, yelling at him as Virgil pulled back his fist & told Shawn to back off & worry about Tito. As Miss Genie continued to yell at Virgil, out from behind the curtain & down the aisle came "Rowdy" Roddy Piper to a big pop from the Manhattan Center crowd! Miss Genie & Shawn were both yelling at Piper, telling him to mind his own business. With a grin on his face, Piper picked Miss Genie up & carried her off on his shoulders as a look of shock came over both her & Shawn's respective faces. She started hitting Piper with her fists to no avail, yelling at him to put her down as Shawn wanted to get at Piper, but the ref pushed him back & right into a surprise roll up by Tito Santana! ONE... TWO... THREE! Winner by pinfall: "El Matador" Tito Santana Shawn is going ballistic after he manages to get up, kicking at the ropes, then goes running toward the back in hopes of finding Piper & Miss Genie. Eddie Gilbert: "How can you condone any of that, Vin-Daddy?! We just had 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper commit blatant kidnapping of Miss Genie, & the crooked referee pushed Shawn Michaels right into a roll up by Tito Santana & gave him a fast count!" Vince McMahon: "That was no fast count, Eddie, & you know it! Shawn has himself to blame for not focusing on his match!" Eddie Gilbert: "Okay, Vin-Daddy! You go in the ring some time & compete, & let's see what happens when someone else comes out & kidnaps one of your loved ones!" Vince McMahon: "Well I'm not a trained athlete, so we don't have to worry about that anytime soon." Eddie Gilbert: "Way to avoid the issue, Vin-Daddy." -Virgil & Tito Santana are celebrating in the ring when Repo Man & Irwin R. Schyster, better known as Repo Tax, run in from the crowd, hop the barricade & slide into the ring. Repo Man clotheslines Virgil in the back of the head with his grappling hook, while IRS wallops Tito from behind with his Haliburton briefcase! Vince McMahon is screaming for officials to come out here & stop this, but Eddie Gilbert says this is what they deserve for cheating to win that match against Shawn Michaels. Repo Man tosses Virgil out of the ring while IRS hits Tito with several elbow drops to the boos of the fans. Repo Man works with IRS to double team attack Tito Santana, followed by IRS directing Repo Man to go over to the timekeeper's table. Repo Man gleefully runs over there & picks up Tito's matador hat. Vince McMahon: "That's Tito's hat that he wears for his bull fights! Do Repo Tax not understand the significance of that hat?!" Eddie Gilbert: "Oh they understand the significance of it all too well, & that's why IRS has directed Repo Man to repossess Tito's hat as payment for Tito's debts." Vince McMahon: "I've known Tito Santana for years, Eddie. Believe me, he doesn't owe any debts!" Eddie Gilbert: "Well I guess you don't know him well enough, because according to Irwin R. Schyster & the Repo Man, he does owe them some debts." Vince McMahon: "That's ridiculous! Irwin R. Schyster already has the WWF Television Championship after his victory over Virgil this past Saturday night, so what more could he want?!" Repo Man goes so far as to put the hat on his own head & runs in place, laughing like the Repo Man that he is. Virgil has recovered & runs into the ring, but it's too late as Repo Man & Irwin R. Schyster high-tail it out of there. Virgil goes to check on Tito while Repo & IRS taunt everyone about their triumph. Vince says that more Monday Night Raw is on the way after this quick message. PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING Vince McMahon: "We're glad you have invited us into your house tonight for Monday Night Raw, & next week will be great as well! Next week, in six-man tag team action, we will see Bret Hart team up with High Power to take on Mr. Fuji's Berzerker & Orient Express." Eddie Gilbert: "And that's not all, Vince! In the spirit of six wrestlers fighting it out, we will see Violent Beauty team up." Vince McMahon: "And next Monday night will see the Raw debut of Bam Bam Bigelow!" Eddie Gilbert: "And here's a match that I think Harvey Wippleman will be most interested in: Jake 'The Snake' Roberts will take on the Big Boss Man!" Vince McMahon: "Paul Bearer & the Undertaker might have some interest in that match as well, Eddie... Wait a second... I'm getting something in my ear... We have a camera crew outside?! But why?!" We cut to a camera shot outside the Manhattan Center, where we see Miss Genie standing by, having since been put down by "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who is fighting with Shawn right outside the building! They're close to fighting out into the streets as people outside are cheering them on, & several enhancement talent wrestlers run out with several road agents to try to get the two men separated! Miss Genie is yelling for Shawn to tear Piper apart as the two men turn their attention to beating up the enhancement talents so that they can get back to fighting each other! They're fighting into the streets of New York City as we hear sirens going off & road agents frantically somehow being able to separate the two men & keep them apart as they're yelling at each other. Vince McMahon: "We weren't lying when we said that anything could happen on Monday Night Raw!" Eddie Gilbert: "I haven't seen this much chaos since that time I got into a wild fight in Tupelo, Mississippi!" Vince McMahon: "For 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert, I'm Vince McMahon saying so long until next week! My goodness!" OOC: Special thanks to ColdBloodedSausageMaker for making the Violent Beauty logo.
  12. The Pro Wrestling Hotline! ::Joe Pedicino Knows:: WWF News: -For those wondering, the man under the mask as the Blue Blazer on Saturday Night's Main Event was none other than Rusty Brooks. From my understanding, he really enjoyed playing a pivotal role in a rivalry that I'm enjoying pitting the Mountie against Owen Hart. -Fans have been curious about the recent absence of "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith. While I cannot get any confirmation, he should be returning in a couple of weeks time. -Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert have quickly become a beloved commentary duo since they started working together on Monday Night Raw, & apparently it was Vince's call for he & Eddie to call the action on Saturday Night's Main Event on FOX. It has been said that FOX wanted some sort of crossover appeal on the show, but they weren't going to demand that the WWF actually bring on any of the stars from their hit shows. Needless to say, they're happy with the various references that were made on commentary about Married... With Children, Beverly Hills 90210, In Living Color & The Simpsons. WCW News: -Over in WCW, they acknowledged Big Van Vader's NWA World's Heavyweight Title victory, & managed to sell out a non-televised event at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California that was headlined by Vader defending the title against Sting. It was a hard fought match that has received rave reviews by fans in attendance, with Sting regaining the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship & becoming a two-time champion. And this past weekend on WCW Saturday Night, WCW Commissioner Magnum T.A. announced that the main event at SuperBrawl II pitting Sting vs. Lex Luger would be title for title as WCW looks to unify the NWA & WCW World Titles. Apparently the NWA Board of Directors did not know about this & tried to file an injunction, but they were denied by a judge hearing the case. -WCW seems to be serious about rebuilding the York Foundation as Greg "The Hammer" Valentine debuted for the company as Alexandra York's latest signing. Thankfully, they decided against renaming him to a proper business name like Gregory J. Valentine. There was also a segment on a recent episode of WCW Worldwide that saw Harley Race negotiate a return for Mr. Hughes to the York Foundation to once again work as Alexandra York's bodyguard. Currently, the group is feuding with the likes of Brad Armstrong, the recently reunited Rock 'N' Roll Express & Shane Douglas. -Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat gained some momentum going into his United States Championship bout at SuperBrawl II against "Ravishing" Rick Rude when he defeated WCW World Television Champion "Stunning" Steve Austin in a non-title bout on this past weekend's WCW Saturday Night, thanks in part to some interference by "The Z-Man" Tom Zenk, who will challenge Austin at SuperBrawl II for the title. The Dangerous Alliance protested to Magnum T.A. about Zenk's interference, to which Magnum told them "Too bad." He reminded them of all the times they have interfered, & it was about time they got a taste of their own medicine. New Japan News: -Tatsumi Fujinami is still the IWGP Heavyweight Champion after defeating Masahiro Chono in an outstanding bout in front of 30,817 fans at Yokohama Stadium in Yokohama, Japan at Fighting Spirit 1992. The contest looked like it was going to go Chono's way, but Fujinami managed to grab him out of nowhere & lock in the Dragon Sleeper for the victory. -New Japan Pro Wrestling looks like they are doing just fine without the National Wrestling Alliance since leaving the organization last month. It's been said that Seiji Sakaguchi was looking to save money, & leaving the NWA was the best way to go about it. The NWA, needless to say, was not very happy but decided not to pursue any legal action.
  13. WWF Superstars Airing Sunday, Wk 2, February 1992 (Taped Tuesday, Wk 1, February 1992) Seattle Center Coliseum Seattle, WA Attendance: 11,409 -Vince McMahon welcomes us to the show, with Gorilla Monsoon & Reverend Slick to the viewer's left at the roundtable desk, & Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler to the viewer's right of the desk. Vince says that last night's Saturday Night's Main Event was quite the spectacle, but Pres. Tunney has placed a gag order preventing anyone from discussing what happened until Monday Night Raw tomorrow night, when the order expires. Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler protest Pres. Tunney's decision, & for once, Vince McMahon, Gorilla Monsoon & Rev. Slick all agree with them! However, while Heenan & Lawler want to break the gag order, Vince, Gorilla & Rev. Slick tell them that at the end of the day, Pres. Tunney's ruling is his ruling, & he can run the WWF the way he sees fit until he is no longer President of the World Wrestling Federation. With that, Vince throws it to our opening match of the week featuring Haku, with Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes calling the action. -Haku def. Mike Somaini by pinfall after hitting the Tongan Spike Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes put over how impressive Haku has looked recently, noting his increased aggression in recent matches & how brutal his new finisher, the Tongan Spike, is. "It really injures the wind pipe of his opponent when he hits that maneuver, Sean," says Alfred in his signature proper British accent. Sean Mooney ponders if anyone could ever kick out after being hit with the Tongan Spike. ::UPDATE:: -It's time for "Update" with Mean Gene Okerlund. He talks about how the Von Erichs have recently found themselves in a feud with Mr. Fuji's Orient Express. He talks about how it all started at a recent live event at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago, where Mr. Fuji interrupted the Von Erichs during an interview in the ring, which led to Pat Tanaka & Kato jumping Kevin & Kerry Von Erich from behind & beating them down. "Then yesterday on Wrestling Challenge, after the Orient Express claimed another victory, they decided to beat down their opponents some more. Well, the Von Erichs weren't going to allow that to happen. Let's see now what happened." We see highlights from Wrestling Challenge, where the Orient Express won their match, then were beating down their opponents until the Von Erichs ran down to the ring & started a wild brawl with them. After the video highlights, Gene Okerlund throws it to promos from both sides. Mr. Fuji & the Orient Express are furious about what happened, telling the Von Erichs that they made a big mistake with their recent actions. Mr. Fuji says, "We'll forgive you this time. But if you stick your noses in our business again, it will be sayonara for you two." The Von Erichs respond with their own recorded promo, reminding Mr. Fuji & the Orient Express that they were the ones who stuck their noses in the brothers' business. Kerry says "Mr. Fuji, we won't mind our own business. This modern day warrior will bring a tornado on you & the Orient Express, the likes of which you have never seen." Kevin adds, "You know, we've had people attack us from behind all our lives, & you'd think they would learn by now that when you attack us, we come back & fight you until the end. Mr. Fuji, ask anyone, & they will tell you that the Von Erich family is not to be messed with. So no, Mr. Fuji, we won't stop sticking our noses in your business until you give us the Orient Express in a match, no funny business." COMMERCIAL BREAK -Hercules w/Harvey Wippleman def. Rusty Brooks by pinfall after hitting the Double Sledge Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes talked about how Harvey Wippleman seems to be doing wonders for Hercules after signing a contract to be his manager. Alfred talks about how Herc wasn't himself in recent months, especially after Slick stopped managing him after seeing the light. Alfred continues, "But now, Hercules seems to be rejuvenated after getting a new manager like Harvey Wippleman." Sean responds, "And you team Hercules up with the Warlord, & one wonders who could stop them." -Vince McMahon welcomes us back to the studio, & the panel proceed to interview the trio of Violent Beauty via satellite. Vince asks Wendi Richter, Tori & Vine why they're picking on people like Rockin' Robin & saying such horrible things about Misty Blue & Cheryl Rusa. Wendi says, "I only speak the truth Vince, which you seem to be allergic to." Vince rolls his eyes as Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler egg her on, asking her what Vince McMahon is really like. Wendi responds, "Well let's just say he's the kind of man that breaks promises. Hey Vince, is it true that you used your influence to have President Jack Tunney pull a Women's Tag Team Championship match from WrestleMania a few years ago?" Vince is indignant as he yells "There wasn't even a Women's Tag Title match announced that I can recall!" Gorilla Monsoon chimes in, saying he's used to the likes of Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler being fountains of misinformation, but Wendi Richter is not a fountain of misinformation. "Well thank you, Gorilla. Finally..." "Let me finish, Wendi. You're not a fountain of misinformation. You're a manipulator who has done nothing but slander people such as Vince McMahon by twisting stories around because you can't accept the fact that you dropped the ball!" Rev. Slick says that it is a sin to spread lies & gossip. Vine interrupts, "What exactly have Wendi & I lied about? Wendi & I have spoken nothing but the truth ever since we came together with Tori here." Vince says "Speaking of Tori, we haven't heard anything from you today." Tori looks to Wendi & Vine, then rolls her eyes at Vince's response. Wendi says "You know, the last time Tori had anything to say, the guys in the truck censored her." Vince reminds everyone that Tori said something that you can't say on television, to which Wendi says "You mean you can't say Jack in the Box?" Vine says "Now I want some tacos." Vince shakes his head & tells the ladies that they know full well what Tori said, & it certainly wasn't Jack in the Box. With that, Vince reluctantly thanks Violent Beauty for appearing on the show this week, then throws it to the Big Boss Man in action. -Big Boss Man def. Barry Horowitz by pinfall after hitting the Boss Man Slam Basic squash match for the Big Boss Man here, with Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes talking about how superstars in the World Wrestling Federation try to pick a fight with the big man from Cobb County, but they regret it later on. After the match, Boss Man handcuffs Horowitz to the ropes, points at him with his signature night stick, then tosses the key to the ref before jogging off to the cheers of the fans. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Vince welcomes us back, & now it is time to interview Crush via satellite. Crush says he has a surprise for Jerry "The King" Lawler, & Hillbilly Jim appears alongside Crush, smiling like only he can. Jerry Lawler indignantly asks what this is all about, to which Hillbilly Jim informs Lawler that he may have gotten one over on him recently, but he's gone to President Jack Tunney, & soon enough, they will have their rematch. Lawler shouts "WHAT?! He can't just make a rematch like that!!" Gorilla says "What, are you afraid, King?" "No, of course I'm not afraid! It's just that I won against Hillbilly Jim, & now it's time for me to climb the rankings." Bobby wants to switch gears & says "Now if I may change the subject, I have a question for you Crush. Is it true..." Vince quickly interrupts "Bobby, you know the ruling that President Tunney handed down." Bobby replies, "Oh no, I have a different question to ask. Crush, is it true that someone offered you a Hawaiian Punch, & you turned it down because you had a match & didn't want to get hit again?" Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler laugh as Crush responds, "Oh, you're saying I don't know the difference between a soda pop & a fist to the face? Brudda, not only do I know the difference between the two, but I also know a weasel when I see one." Crush & Hillbilly Jim smile while Vince, Gorilla & Rev. Slick have a nice chuckle. Heenan is appalled by what Crush said, & Jerry Lawler says that it was disrespectful what Crush said to someone as prominent as Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Vince wishes Crush & Hillbilly Jim good luck here in the World Wrestling Federation. Vince then throws it to the next match, where we will see Tatanka making his first in-ring appearance on Superstars. -Tatanka def. Brooklyn Brawler by pinfall after hitting a Samoan Drop that he dubs the Papoose To Go Your basic squash match as the WWF continues to introduce Tatanka to its audience, building him up slowly with wins over enhancement talent such as the Brooklyn Brawler. Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes talked about how they were impressed by Tatanka's Superstars debut & hoped to see more of him in the coming months. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Jimmy Hart & the Mountie cut a promo about how they were determined to show the world what they already know: that Owen Hart & the Blue Blazer were one in the same. Without making any mention of last night's Saturday Night's Main Event, they said that it was ridiculous that Owen Hart claimed not to be the Blue Blazer. The Mountie said, "My broth... My favorite reporter, Raymond Rougeau, will get to the bottom of this & expose Owen Hart for the fraud he is, & he will be kicked out of the World Wrestling Federation for good!" -The Warlord w/Harvey Wippleman def. Mike Bell by submission with the Full Nelson Another of one of Harvey's clients gets a dominant win here as the Warlord looked fully recovered from his recent minor injury. Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes agreed that the Warlord seems to be even meaner, if that was even possible, under the tutelage of Harvey Wippleman. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Mean Gene Okerlund interviews Rockin' Robin, Cheryl Rusa & Misty Blue. Without making reference to the interview aired last night on Saturday Night's Main Event, Robin, Cheryl & Misty talk about how they may not be a team just yet, but they have a common enemy in the form of the newest trio in the WWF: Violent Beauty. Robin says she would love nothing more than to beat Wendi Richter so bad that she couldn't talk trash & slander people anymore. Cheryl said she knew Vine all too well & thought she didn't have to deal with her again when she (Cheryl Rusa) came to the World Wrestling Federation. But low & behold, Vine shows up & makes her life miserable. "But that's okay. You have to take out the trash every week at home, & I plan on taking Vine out of the World Wrestling Federation." Misty Blue says she had met Tori awhile back & thought she would become one of the all time great lady wrestlers, if not the greatest one of all. "But now she's throwing that away by hanging out with the likes of Wendi Richter & Vine. As far as I'm concerned, they're going to drag her down & stunt her growth as a superstar." The three plucky women can't wait to get their hands on Violent Beauty. -The Headshrinkers w/Afa vs. The Bushwhackers This was our feature match on Superstars this week, & what a wild brawl it was! The Bushwhackers got off to a fast start, & Afa had to get Fatu & Samu together to regroup. But Luke & Butch followed them outside & kept the fight going all over ringside, with the ref being lenient & stopping his count to warn Afa not to interfere, as well as to order both teams back in the ring. The two teams fought back & forth, with the Bushwhackers having things go their way as the match was winding down. Afa distracted Butch, which distracted the ref long enough for the illegal man, Fatu, to run into the ring & nail Luke with an impressive looking thrust kick that knocked him out, followed by Fatu & Samu bringing Luke up & driving him down face first into the mat with their patented Double Forward Russian Leg Sweep. Fatu clotheslined Butch out of the ring & followed him out as the ref turned around to see Samu pinning Luke. ONE... TWO... THREE! Winners by pinfall: The Headshrinkers PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING -Back to the panel, where Vince McMahon closes things out by asking the panel if they're looking forward to WrestleMania VIII, which will be here before we know it. Gorilla Monsoon says that's a rhetorical question because he doesn't know anybody who's NOT looking forward to WrestleMania VIII at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bobby Heenan says he can't wait because he's looking forward to the standing ovation he will get at the Hoosier Dome. "What do you mean, standing ovation?" asks Rev. Slick. Bobby Heenan replies "I'm Indiana's favorite Bobby." Gorilla says "I thought Bobby Knight was Indiana's favorite Bobby." Vince McMahon confirms that Bobby Knight is indeed Indiana's favorite Bobby as Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler both go "WHO?!" Vince says "Bobby Knight, you know, the coach for the Indiana Hoosiers college basketball team." Without missing a beat, Bobby Heenan says "Oh... Is that Gladys' brother?" Jerry Lawler is grinning & laughing while Gorilla, Vince & Rev. Slick just throw their heads & hands up in the air in disbelief. With that, Vince McMahon hypes up tomorrow night's Monday Night Raw where the feature match will pit Shawn Michaels against "El Matador" Tito Santana.
