  1. I must say you have created one hell of a piece of work. I just love this scenario. I just started my fourth different career. This time with Lord Regal. I'm loving it!
  2. I'll be 27 in August myself. My dad was a huge AWA fan. Growing up in Indianapolis, it appeared everyone my dad's age had a story about Dick the Bruiser. Indianapolis always claimed Dick as their homegrown hero. Now its David Letterman. Nice trade off I guess.
  3. I"m curious how your cousin knows of Bockwinkel. :-) Seriously though, I love the spirit debated about two of the real legends of the business. None of this, Austin or Foley or even HHH garbage. It is nice to chat with people that remember what wrestling truly is. Not what the McMahon's want us to think it is. Kudos to everyone. Jim
  4. Man, I may have to take back all the great things I have said about you in the past. :-) I have never been a big fan of Lawler, but maybe that is just me. The stuff with Kaufman was great, but his dodging of Savage is something I will always remember. I think even Dr. Seuss would have been able to realize that wrestling Baron, Gagne, Hansen, Wahoo, and Rich would be much better opponent wise than Ronnie Garvin, Road Warrior Hawk, and Nikita Koloff. What do I know though? :-)
  5. D.Boon, As much as I love Nick and everything that was the AWA. I can't help but still find an even stronger place for Flair. Technically, Nick was probably a better pure wrestler, but wasn't close to being the showman that Flair is/was. So, I have to give the nod to the Nature Boy, but much love for Bockwinkle.
  6. Sweet. I didn't understand the inner working of how the contracts were handled. Thanks for answering that for me. I have finally gotten White up to fighting at the near main event level. I have been having some battles with the great Baron and hoping for a sweet alignment turn soon to battle it out with the second greatest wrestler of all-time, Nick Bockwinkle!
  7. Quick Question, I have been playing as the great Leon White aka Big Van Vadar. His starting contract was, I believe, 7,000 per appearance by AWA. Was that right? When it ran up they offered me a written contract at 6,000 a month as an Upper Midcarder. So, I'm wondering what type of system was used to make these. Jim
  8. Since, I am still stuck watching wrestling like I was when I was a kid in the early 80's that may be something I could help out with. Not that it would be needed though. I really more interested in seeing wrestlers and federations added for Europe from this time period. I think that would be really cool even if they were madeup guys. Although, I guess the easiest solution for that would be to somehow import Adam's data into the game for those territories. Its late, I'm just rambling I suppose. Jim
  9. I think it may be cool to add new worker expansion type packs. Something like you might see in an upcoming addition of The Sims. You could include a 90's pack of workers whom would have made their debut obviously in the 90's. Then do the same at a later date with the guys whom would have debuted in the 2000's. The more creative approach to this would be to maybe work something out with the information that Rick is compiling and have a UK and Europe expasion pack of either real wrestlers or Rick's guys. Another fascinating idea to me at least, would be to include update scenarios based on placing promotions from the past or current times in with the promotions in your scenario. How would the AWA be able to compete against a renegade hardcore federation like ECW? Or having the NWA and WWE compete against a heavy workrate federation like Ring of Honor. Just a few thoughts. Jim
  10. Like I said earlier, I'm just absolutely amazed by this scenario. I really can never express in words how I feel. Imagine how tough that is for a high school English teacher! Obviously, I started off as Ric Flair. Since I have been amazed by his ring presence and work rate for almost twenty years now. He signed a verbal contract with WWF and AWA right off the bat. Since he was a maineventer, that appeared to be easy to do. My very first match in my new game was for WWF against none other than Bruno Sammartino. I couldn't freaking believe it. While I enjoyed the Cornell Universe as much as the next guy, this just makes the game so much better. It really brings back the original essence of the games I remember playing of Adam's many years ago. He would release these amazing scenarios that would have me playing for months after I thought I was done with the game. You guys have done that again. This time it appears to be able to last a lot longer. I am still playing the one for TEW by the way. Amazing work. Absolutely amazing. That is all I can say, again. Jim
  11. Wow! I must say that when I heard you guys were doing this scenario I was greatly pleased. I really enjoyed the work that was done on the scenario for TEW. My personal wrestling knowledge began in 1984. So, you guys have put together something that is as close to that as possible. I truly appreciate all the hard work that must have gone into this extremely detailed and highly accurate scenario. My best wishes to both of you and please know that your work is very much appreciated in this long time fan. Jim
