  1. <p>Don't think I have ever released anyone yet in any games...definitely nothing significant. My number one was to tackling the Roster size has usually been opening up a Developmental Company and sending a handful of men and women down there..Gen Z...Robin Delay...Hank Gunn..ect</p><p> </p><p> Guys particularly that I probably won't use and probably will end up releasing usually have enough Popularity that needs to be siphoned off before you let them go imo.</p>
  2. Started one more game before release...that I may or may not continue post launch. Taking a bit of an aggressive approach in this game...started up a Developmental Company being booked by Joey Poison...sent a few down there just to clear up the roster..while signing a few handful of workers to fill out both rosters. I'm also a fan of changing the Match and Angle Focus to at least Regular. McFly and Jack will probably be quickly regulated to the midcard and lower...Ricky can probably fill right behind McFly in a nice feud with Price...but Knight and Vessey are the main two building blocks long term for this company. Pryce is my #1 NBT, I've never used him but that seems like someone intriguing to push. On the women's side...this is probably the best Women's Division I have played with...usually 2 or 3 will end up as a NBT or Hot Prospects...There's plenty of talent there...but just like the men you need to rely on storylines and the bigger stars and build from there. There's even plenty of talent out there if you want to bring in a few girls...hell I had one save where Higa walked out of 5SSW. To me CWA is really almost a spitting image of where AEW is now. The talent is there and mostly young, they just need a year or so to get over and improve. Although CWA's women are in a much better position. But you need storylines and you need to be advancing them...even if it's simple as using the Road Agent Note...as if the announcers would mention it. Even if you have a few low rated shows, with some kind of solid plan there's no reason why you shouldn't be in a better position in the future.
  3. <p>You really need to rely heavily on storylines. Segments that don't really advance one of them aren't going to score strong.</p><p> </p><p> As for the women...I have played almost exclusively as CWA so far in the demo and haven't really had a problem with them. They're very much like the men...use Steve and the top Women and build from there. Hell usually a few of them end up on my NBT and/or Hot Prospects. There's also plenty of talent to go out and sign and/or develop, if the current ones don't jump out to you.</p>
  4. I've always seen Jay Chord as a very exaggerated version of himself...even more of an absolute Piece of shit...inside and outside the ring...he's despicable and evil as it gets.. Gauge...really either one...I've always booked as strong heels....cocky...he's going to win and he knows it...and there's not much opponents have been able to do about it.
  5. I'm going to throw an oddball out there just because I haven't this guy mentioned really at all with 2020 being out. There needs to be a story about Davis Wayne Newton going from basically Broken as the Indy Darling of all Indy Darlings...to still unsigned by a major promotion....and now on the other side of 30.

Back in the day, Bill Watts ran a three way feud with The Freebirds v Doc & Dibiase v Skandar Akbar's Devastation, Inc. Doc & Dibiase were babyfaces. Akbar's stable were heels, and the 'Birds were heels against Doc & Dibiase, but babyfaces against Akbar et all. It's been a long time, but I think the storyline was that Akbar's guy stole the UWF title by forfeit after Gordy was injured by Doc. Opened up a lot of possibilities for matches/angles.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You can turn the Face/Heel divide either off or Loosely Enforced in the Product page of your company.</p><p> </p><p> My games tend to run with a lot of Stables..Tag Teams...Alliances ect. Maybe not for all of them but definitely the higher up ones...I ask myself what's the point of this Stable? What do they want to achieve? The Syndicate strikes me as very Horsemen like...ie Keep/Get the title around Wolf. Where as a 2nd Gen Stable may have other goals for the time being.</p><p> </p><p> On top of that my usual go to is a Babyface Star or Stable getting caught in the middle or foreseeing the two Heel stables being on a collusion course towards each other.</p>
  7. By far by best show and may be the only one to have cracked 80. A lot seems to rely on being in a storyline...things need to have a reason for being on tv. Anyway my current thought process is Sean McFly needs to go down the card...he can't cut it at his age and in a big decline....and until David Stone is ready, I believe it's finally Donte Dunn's time to shine and can easily be pushed up the card in a few months....He's not as good as the other Big 3 at the moment but he's a good babyface to fill that void...and his ties with the DeColts/CGC/Knight give plenty of opportunity for stories. I think this would set up for a nice moment and Dunn to cement himself as a Main Eventer either at Wrestle Festival or Ultimate Showdown...possibly with a feud with Price and Elite or Cameron Vessey. Vessey needs something imo...my most likely route would be his own Stable...or possibly giving him a bodyguard. Tag Division could use one more team imo..but I tend to use a huge tag division...but I'm also not counting Jack and Ricky but that could easily be a nice direction...but I want Ricky to run with the TV Title and work with a lot of the younger undercard guys.
  8. Bob Casey and Air Attack Weasel, will always have jobs as Jobbers and Trainers in any company I play...especially if I'm running a dev company. Three managers/valets/personalities I always hire but are probably a bit more talented than normal....Haley Buck...Dharma Gregg and Sweet Tabitha.
  9. Finished 1 month....made plenty of money, roughly $500,000 and I'm happy with that...especially with the size of the roster. Didn't invest into anything just yet. Put the TV Title onto Ricky...I much prefer the potential match ups with him vs the heels than Mr. Impact holding onto the title longer.....although spamming Ricky and Jack teaming is very tempting. Really the only issue I having is my tv main events can be lackluster...although I'm really trying to build up Knight and Vessey against guys who probably aren't ready for TV Main Events. I'm so used to being able to spam either Jack/Ricky or Steve and be able to carry good/great grades and I'm just not finding that so far.
  10. Can't imagine what exactly your game looks like but if it's not to much different from the starting data I'd run with Rocky vs The Crippler...than Randy vs ZWB could be a co main event or another match on the card....than slowly eventually build to another Bumfholes match for the title down the road.
  11. Jay Silver is probably getting pushed to the moon in most of my games...19 years old but most importantly......That Render.....The Tagg Siblings look promising...Also in some game I want to push the Mercenario Brothers...probably a handful of others besides those listed already...those are just the ones off the top of my head.
  12. <p>With the Demo only covering two months it's pretty hard to tell...in 2016 and prior versions it definitely was possible but you had to play the LONG game...create talent and make stars...and start at a lower level and build from the ground up. There's plenty of talent out there but it's an investment and long term strategy.</p><p> </p><p> Also with the AI being focused this version who knows how exactly the AI works over a longer period of time.</p>
  13. No...I haven't played as much as I would like in the demo so far but everything I've seen and read looks great. In previous games the AI was pretty much in the background outside of one company usually USPW/SOTBPW taking ALL the talent. Also 2 months is hardly enough time to really evaluate the AI.
  14. I got a 74 my first show...I ain't mad. I'll probably mess around with the match and angle focus a bit..but right now I switched both of them to regular..I have yet to mess around with the financials but CWA screams to me that you should mess around with cutting a few workers or eventually open up a Dev company or relationship to take some of the people that aren't ready. Booking philosophy will be a combo of how I'd booked CGC and NOTBPW at the start of games...Spam and rely heavily on the stars....ie the DeColts.... Drake Young is great guy to push and hopefully get over...and could be a god send as a Manager. To me CWA is really in the foundation stage of building for a long term future. I see alot of similarities between them and AEW right now...incredible amount of talent..but they need to get over to really move to the next level.
  15. I enjoy the changes to the C-Verse and really the Canadian scene...really looking forward to playing with CWA. The UI I enjoy more and more I play...really just need to get used to it much like any game. And also as someone who really just lurks but I feel this needs to be said with some posts and attitudes lately....The Community...The Content creators be it Mods...Renders..Dairy Writers...ect..ect..I rarely say how much I enjoy their work and it's a larger part of what keeps me coming back.
  16. Just a bit outside of Albany, NY...actually work at a local hospital as an Inpatient Pharmacy Tech, for a little longer before I start another job. The past 2-3 weeks have been the longest shifts of my time here. First we had a vendor from NYC..than a Physician test positive. This is all we were told...the vendor had us very anxious, because it could have been someone who directly came to our department. In this climate any symptom gets your mind racing...fortunately we did find out it wasn't a vendor that cam directly to us. Meanwhile we have had two coworkers...two I specifically work with on my shift call out last week with fevers..ect and pneumonia to ramp up the mind racing. Fortunately they tested negative and had other smaller issues..and should be back to work shortly. My specific county is around 40 or so confirmed cases as of the 23rd...I left work on Friday night we had 1 patient in the hospital....I returned today and we're up to 7 patients with 7 more waiting for test results..and unfortunately 1 death of a 90+ year old. Some treatment has had promising results albeit from 1 study I believe in France, and everyone is jumping on that a combo of the drugs Plaquenil and Azithromycin. It's a very stressful time but with a glimmer of hope and I'm just fortunate and thankful I have an "essential job" and moving to another...I can't imagine what others who have lost jobs..businesses are going through.
  17. <p>Started up a game with Zen...roughly 4 months in...although taking a slower approach to the game than I normally do. I'm going to stay at 1 event a month for the time being but will probably switch to 2 a month some time next year.</p><p> </p><p> My current plan atm is to try to milk most of the starting stories for some time here while only running 1 show a month.</p><p> </p><p> I like the idea that I've seen a few people do and get an agreement with APW and have Halloween Knight try to feed some of them to Pumpkin Jack...eventually I'd have Knight disappear and then some Mirror Universe shenanigans.</p><p> </p><p> Cyanide and Devilfish should eventually lead to a stable war between a new FEAR and some kind of Sea/Water Superfriends group. I thinking with Manny and possibly Huge de Aske.</p><p> </p><p> The Tag Titles will probably not change any time soon...I kind of want to hold a King of Harmony(Trios) type tournament that would lead to whoever dethroning them.</p><p> </p><p> Woodchuck is on the look for a long term tag team partner. So while she has a ton of friends they just don't click with her in the ring. This will hopefully allow me to stretch this feud out with Pinkie and The Vain...while giving them a couple of wins and than find someone who clicks with Woodchuck either creatively or chemistry wise.</p><p> </p><p> Trying to keep my roster relatively small atm altogether I am up to 31ish...I did sign The APP...Hugh de Aske...The Affliction...along with White Wasp and Black Flash. And have a handful of names shortlisted and ready to sign.</p><p> </p><p> Some of the Dojo graduates will probably just job in pre shows for a few years or unless something comes to mind for a character for them.</p>
  18. <p>I'm guilty of larger rosters in most of my games. Usually my go to ideas are a bunch of tag teams and stables and even lose alliances...especially in a SE heavy product such as SWF.</p><p> </p><p> I'd have to check my latest game with them but I probably had 4 or 5 stables with 5 or 6 tag teams...all being somewhat significantly different than each other. This also though ends up with me booking a ton of tag team matches on tv and even sometimes on my bigger events.</p>
  19. I'm not too big on having all gimmick PPVs..but I may look to make something to add a bit more pizzazz to the shows..but just right now I have: Elimination - Probably like most people some kind of Survivor Series esq PPV matches..Not necessarily all matches are 3v3. DeColt Wrestlefestival - I'd picture this as Summerslam but kind of in the Spring...Family Fun atmosphere the whole week...Someone did a diary with maybe a Fair/Carnival? Maybe Self's? I can't remember. From a Booking Standpoint I have ended and started big stories here. Ultimate Showdown - I kind of see this as Wrestlemania but with my schedule already being so heavy early in the year I may toy with the idea of a Tournament of some kind..I do like a round robin idea. That's about it although I may try to do a KotR straight up tournament for Survival of the Fittest...but I think it would be more in line with getting a King Gimmick than an actual title shot...maybe both. Anyways I just booked DWF Day 1 and Day 2 of 2017...1 Year in. Both got a 91 Rating...Highlighted and built around Ricky turning on Jack...The Breakup of High Concept....and Edd Stone Claiming to be a DeColt and facing Sean McFly..who was brought in by Alex DeColt. This did make my roster very heel heavy on top..with Ricky...Edd and Gargantuan all around 90s...but I'm hoping the up coming year I'll be able to finally push guy(or the final push they need) to get over the hump...guys like Price...Dunn..Ross Henry....at least on the face side. Joey Poison and Davis Wayne Newton got a nice bump from feuding with the DeColts after a nice run with a tag titles...and Newton could probably just need one really good feud to be a full fledged Main Eventer..but they have Excellent Tag Chemistry....so he may just stay at a notch below for now. After having a rough year kayfabe wise Ian Identity and my UC finally won the Tag Titles and carried them into and out of The Festival. Would still like a bit more time and development so they'll probably lose them shortly to either The Montreal Mafia or a team of Giants. Also my favorite news of all...although I haven't planned anything just yet is...I signed KC Glenn away from BHOTWG...So I basically win the game. Very Un-CGC but I couldn't help myself and pass up the opportunity. I'm thinking he'll be a AJ Styles/Kenny Omega type babyface...just thinking of renaming him. Financially with the Industry and Economy still raising 50 and 28 respectively...I just made almost 200k in March 2017 with about 72 Pop across Canada. So with money starting to roll in I may look to get a bit more guys on Written Deals and maybe even open up a small Dev Company..as I'm closing in on National..with just a few more points of Importance in Saskatchewan.
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jon The GOAT" data-cite="Jon The GOAT" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41392" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I want to come up with something for Skip Beau and Alan Parent but they've got such boring renders. Alan Parent is a jack ass too so he's on his way out for sure. I gotta find something for Skip Beau tho. I'll probably ignore his renders and stats and just find some character in a movie/show/company that I like and give him that. Maybe I can get him an Enzo and he can be Big Cass. Find a Carmella and voila. A solid mid-tier tag team?<p> </p><p> It's hard for me to make CGC too much of a light-hearted SE. I'm thinking its slowly veering towards an American Lucha Underground-ish thing? It's campy but somehow takes itself seriously? Idk. But I've got 3 guys who act like literal titans. I haven't decided if Zeus Maximillion thinks hes a legit god yet lol. </p><p> </p><p> God I'd love to get Scythe and Spencer Spade in <3</p><p> </p><p> Your Cult stable idea makes me low key want to go completely weird and turn Ricky DeColt into Straight Edge Society cult-leader CM Punk. The DeColt cult gone wrong.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Having never really used Parent or Beau, I didn't really have anything for them...but I think in another game or two or if I decided to bring them back I could probably come up with something but I just jobbed them until their contracts ran out. But a solid face tag team would help that division out.</p><p> </p><p> Can't speak for LU..but I'd imagine CGC kind of funny and zany on the lower card...big gimmicky characters ect...while the it's more of Soap Opera and a bit more serious on the upper card. And obviously giant monsters all around. A bit more SEy and less Patriotic USPW.</p><p> </p><p> I have big plans for Scythe...I have a SWF game on paused where he turned into a huge star..I haven't come up with a big story for him yet but I just know I want to focus around him.</p><p> </p><p> Ricky as Straight Edge sounds very intriguing to me...DeColts are like The All-Canadian Boys Very Clean Cut Family Friendly..so I think it could be a heel variant to that...not to mention I think there are probably a small handful of young guys out there that could be easily paired with him off of that...albeit without the full on Jesus makeover.</p>
  21. Aaron Andrews has left for SWF which is a big blow...but I was lucky to have him anyway. But I had him job to Ross Henry and Ricky before he left. Characters/gimmicks guys have always been a minor issue for me. Even when I play SWF..it usually morphs into an edgier modern day SE company. The Renders that have been done by the community have been a great help for me to give some guys a bit more character. But for guys like Skip Beau...Alan Parent they have usually just gotten replaced. But I definitely need to try and repackage/rename guys as it should add a bit more to the game...I'm either lazy or forget. Huge de Aske is always on my shortlist for this reason...especially if I have an older render to go with him...thats full on Pirate. Still toying with the idea of a Dungeon of Doom and/or Cult Stable idea...was able to sign Scythe and Samael The Accuser...Scythe at least has some more pop and a bit more ready to use. Turning Ricky may seem obvious but to me Id imagine no DeColt has ever been heel yet in CGC...so it may be a cop out but I like to think it would be something huge in the history of CGC and something they could need to push them over the top and slowly get them away from it strictly being The DeColt Show.
  22. <p>Just finished my first full year with CGC. Significant thing in terms of financials and it took me some time to realize it was the economy and industry both tanked relatively early in the year and are just know going back up...so that has slowed growth down a bit.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jack DeColt</strong> has been the runaway MVP. No shocker here. Around 90 Pop across Canada and his stats are still inclining sooo hopefully no time decline anytime soon at 39. He has yet to lose the title..and is currently undefeated with 39 wins 1 draw and 0 losses...The plan is to have Ricky turn heel at DWF and take the title from him at Ultimate Showdown. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ricky DeColt</strong> A bit more battle tested and struggling road in terms of kayfabe for Ricky with 6 loses or so...but mostly to give some heels a bump before the fought Jack. Currently sits around 75-77 Pop Across Canada.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Aaron Andrews</strong> If it wasn't for Jack he'd probably be the MVP...picked him up shortly after TCW fell to Cult and only signed him to a PPA deal...so I signed a Working Agreement with them and signed Ace to a deal as well. His promos and matches(including a few +90s with Jack and Ricky) has shot his pop in Canada to high 80s-90s...if it wasn't for wanting to run Jack vs. Ricky I'd be tempted to have him end Jack's reign.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Edd Stone</strong> His serious push should start to commence soon...I have paired him up currently with Gargantuan as a Bodyguard...But I'm about to start him in a story that should see him fake test results that he's a Bastard son of George..and feud in a more so War of Words with Alex.</p><p> </p><p> I currently have Joey Poison and DWN as my tag champs but they will probably lose very soon in a quick filler feud with Jack and Ricky with the intent in moving Newton into a Main Event Slot. Right now I plan to have them lose to the team of Ian Identity and my UC with Jack and/or Ricky distracting them.</p><p> </p><p> Sayeed is my current Canadian Champion. And will probably just run through people until I can push Greg Gauge or Ernest Youngman high enough to take it off of him.</p><p> </p><p> Other than that I'm trying to build up some other managers...the usual Dharma..Buck and Streetz...and a few who start on the roster. I almost want to recreate A Dungeon of Doom ish stable with Prometheus Blockbluster and the recently signed Scythe...possibly lead by a Heel Drake Young?</p><p> </p><p> Anyway I'm having a lot of fun with this save..the first year has been more a of set up and build to this second...ie Jack vs. Ricky especially. So now with guys getting better and much more over things can be actually put in motion.</p><p> </p><p> TV and PPV Deals still kind of suck and will probably stay that way for sometime.</p>
  23. <p>The workers costs for a development company is what worries me a bit..I'm just about to hit Dec 16 and haven't had a profitable month yet...I have about 20 workers on Written Deals and a small handful of non-wrestlers....Now I probably would have had several good months but I do have a habit of trying to get everyone on a PPV, which does hurt the financials.</p><p> </p><p> I'm also trying to rehab Marc Dubois for the heck of it so thats $14,400ish a month that I'm not even getting a return on.</p><p> </p><p> If I restarted I would negotiate a little better..and use a lot more short term 3 month contracts..it's more of an OCD thing but I think it would help especially if you're just bringing in guys to help others get over.</p><p> </p><p> Main Event wise I have Jack, Ricky along with Christian Price and Edd Stone on Written Deals. Anyone else is generally the younger guys who can be the future stars for the company and just aren't up there in Pop yet...DWN Youngman..Sayeed...Ross Henry ect.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 400k is probably a lot..I think the most I had was maybe 200k but it got down to >100k pretty quickly with the shows you're able to put on...and like I said there were months were if I didn't have the "Get everyone on the show" mentality I would have probably made money.</p><p> </p><p> That being said the only thing extra I really do from the start is house shows and the new PPV Deal..No B show or Dev Company just yet for me. My plan so far was to kind of take this a bit slower and not try to rush to National or grab up as many guys as I normally would.</p>
  24. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Matt_Black" data-cite="Matt_Black" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41392" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>What you can do is set it at Regional (Small, Medium or Large) and then set it in Quebec. They'll automatically qualify for a TV Deal with Q-TV, and they'll probably sign a deal for events on their own. (I'd briefly use the "Add a Player" cheat as whoever you assign the booker, and make sure you cut a weekly TV deal, too, as Regional companies seldom, if ever, add weekly shows on their own). That should even out the costs, and with Quebec's high spillover rate, will get your developmental guys some pop in nearby areas without too much effort.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Bigpapa42" data-cite="Bigpapa42" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41392" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>If you can sign workers to written deals, a developmental company can be done. I usually open one at the smallest size, so its only $100k. And I put it on a touring schedule. Helps build tag experience. The CGC product is pretty low-impact, so not much risk in physically wrecking the youngsters. ACPW and 4C guys will improve more in that than leaving them with their current employers. <p> </p><p> Bringing Steve back would be so fun. Hope he didn't sign with USPW too long-term. </p><p> </p><p> Illegitimate Edd sounds like pure SE. Love it. </p><p> </p><p> If you aren't doing anything useful with the Canadian title, do something fun with it. Bounce it around the midcard - even if it kills the prestige, you can build it back up. Or have someone do open challenges but keep losing in cheap ways - disquals, count outs, etc.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I don't know if I'll do it now or just wait...but when I do open a development company..I'll probably definitely do this stuff...usually a touring schedule is my go too.</p><p> </p><p> If I stick with this game I hope I can bring Steve back...USPW wanted nothing with a Working Agreement...not that I expected anything different. He unfortunately is on a steady Time Decline just viewing his stats but he would be a huge addition just from a story perspective...or at the least as a Authority Figure/Manager.</p><p> </p><p> I did a game where he was my UC and he returned to CGC which is an interesting idea but the game didn't work out as well as I had hoped. Won't lie though if he wasn't on Time Decline...I'd be tempted to edit his contract in the editor to sign him. I just see him returning to CGC before all is said and done.</p><p> </p><p> Edd DeColt is something I'm pretty excited to run with and will probably extend my time playing this game..if I had the time and talent to I be tempted to write a diary based around the possibilities. I was almost tempted to just play it straight and rename him Edd DeColt and have it be this CAMPY very SE story.</p><p> </p><p> Ross Henry I kind of want to move him on and into a possible tag team but I may have him just do open challenge and winning until I'm okay with putting the title on someone else..my thinking would be someone like Sayeed...Ernest Youngman or Greg Gauge.</p>
  25. <p>Interesting with a Development Company...I don't know if it's a habit left over from the old EWR days but I've never thought about opening one up below National. I'll probably hold off on it until I hit National and start making some money.</p><p> </p><p> I did manage to sign Working Agreements with TCW and NOTBPW...and Alex patched up things with Steve...only for Steve to sign with USPW. This has allowed me somewhat to limit my roster, although I did make a few signing.</p><p> </p><p> I did manage to sign Edd Stone...and so badly plan on running a story where he may or may not be the illegitimate son of George DeColt...and challenge Alex and Jack for the Company...and for the time being I have him and Gargantuan paired up. Price is currently feuding with them.</p><p> </p><p> The Team of Joey Poison and Davis Wayne Newton just won the tag titles from Benson and Black. I may have my UC and Triple I take the titles off of them...or I may tie Ian into the Edd Stone/DeColt story...or Both!</p><p> </p><p> The Canadian Title..I've hit a rut...I did sign Ross Henry and he's been good and improving...I did have him take the title off of Blockbuster, I'm just not sure where to go for here though.</p><p> </p><p> Some fat has been slowly cut from the roster..I brought in the McWades for a short run they're gone...so are the New Soldiers of Fortune...Parent gone. </p><p> </p><p> And the big thing I want to try..and sink money into is to rehab Marc Dubois...was high twice so I sent him to rehab which he was happy about. So I'm hoping I can turn him around and him to a big piece of the Company.</p>
