  1. Loved the recap and podcast episode. Seeing Corino as a rookie is wild to me considering that he felt like a really big name only a couple years later. Will be fun to see if you can get him over a bit. Brian Lee is a guy I've never loved, but you've made me take him seriously and view him as a real "champ" (Which I love). Keep it up!

I have always liked Corino and what he has brought to the table. I actually feel the same way about Brian Lee as you do, so I took this on as sort of a challenge. As I write for him I'm finding that I like him even more.

  2. I've only just properly given this a look so awesome timing for that last post. This all looks great so I'm definitely going to try follow!

Its funny because as I was doing this post I thought, maybe someone just checking this out will benefit from this. Then your comment is the first to come up, haha. I am glad to have you on here. Appreciate you checking it out.

Great recap, as always beautiful visuals

    You're the man tobin

Thanks man, right back at you! Appreciate it. I think we have a lot of great writers and diaries here, so sometimes it's good to get a refresher to give you some perspective.

I have to say between the podcast and the graphics, you really are taking this to the next level. You made something as mundane as a diary recap look fantastic.

I appreciate the kind words man. Glad you're enjoying both. :)

  3. <p>I know this is small, but I liked how the show started off immediately intriguing me with the duffle bag. I see Stevens cheating and think “yes, this is the strategy you need” and then three seconds later he's submitting. Some manager I am. A true genius I am haha. I always thought Andre was dumb for giving away his payday, I'm glad to see Milonas has learned. </p><p> </p><p>

Loved Holidead on the show. Loved the announcement of Murdock and Pope. Two guys I really like in this diary and it makes me think who I actually want to win. </p><p> </p><p>

NWA going younger. The true building blocks behind the longevity of a company. Kudos on this, always a great update!!</p>

  4. Love it man! I was a huge ECW fan back in the days, my cousin was a tapetrader in Germany so it was "easy" to watch some ECW back then. And i have to say i love the asthetics of your diary, it's different, much more effort to do and still easy to follow and read. Thumbs up!

Dalton just send me the link to your podcast, i love it. I'm a podcaster myself in Germany and if my english would be at least 5% that good i would love to do stuff like that in my diary, too:D. Awesome! Great idea, keep it on man!

Thank you for your comments. I hope you follow along. The review I am about to post after this post should help catch you up a bit.

Just to echo the sentiments of others the effort going ibto this with content and presentation is exceptional. So, my hats off to you, fella.

You deserve all the plaudits. I was never the biggest ECW fan back in the day but you're definitely capturing the era.

Thank you so much! Appreciate you stopping in and checking in on this one despite not being a huge ECW fan. Cheers.

I think my favorite part of the podcast is trying to put yourself in 1997 without knowing the future.

"I wish there was some site that we could all watch videos on."

"Paul Heyman isn't so sure about this whole internet thing."

Yeah, just trying to kayfabe point out things that aren't there we take for granted as well. I've had a lot of response on the podcast and may make it a weekly thing with other promotions news as well (like the iwrestling.com updates). Mixed about it, so it may wait for now. We'll see. I have a lot of desire to be more creative with this and podcasting sure beats a whole other journal/diary haha.

Little Guido and Paul Roma were the F.B.I. team I never knew I wanted to read about until the WWF scooped up Paul. Screw you, Vince!

Thanks, I actually thought it'd help Guido develop a bit, credibility to the team etc. I was on fence though - and probably leaning to pass - because he is an ego maniac. My locker room is in bad enough shape haha. I think would have been a good team though.

  5. Still catching up on this (almost there, Christmas/New Year set me back on here with journals). I have to say the Hangman is easily my favorite character thus far. Harlem Haynes is close second. I've mentioned I liked the graphics and will mention it again. I think the dirt sheet stuff, the Champagne Lover getting herpes haha and the responses on the posts on facebook by other workers is great. I normally do not check out CVerse diaries all that much because I am more a real world guy - but this has my attention and has my interest. Very well done as always. Will refrain from picks as I'm not there yet.
  6. I'm not sure if this is where you ask this sort of question (I'm hoping).

I'm curious as a reader of a diary.. How often would you like a show posted in order for you to keep up and know what's going on in that story? I know the answer given by most is "whatever YOU feel like, do it for you not others" and that's a great set of advice, but I'm not looking for that this time. I'm looking for an answer that will help me determine a good schedule to release shows, etc.

Thank you for your answers in advance if this is answered, and if its in the wrong spot please delete.

    Thank you!

    Tobin

You've captured the time period and this company perfectly. I also really enjoyed the podcast. <p> </p><p> I'm intrigued to see who beats Taz. I have a feeling it will be in a shock moment, whether it be a turn or debut. I'll also take RVD as the next champ <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Hey Dalton! Thanks for catching back up and the compliments. The podcast was fun to do and I think just adds a bit more of a look into everything, plus it's something I keep and look back on. (I'm weird). The whole thing with champions right now for me is figuring out who is going to be there. I operate this game thinking that WWF and WCW are right around the corner from taking my talent. The true Heyman-perspective I think.. haha.</p>
  8. "Dirty Daddy" Chris Dickinson (4-0) and SCHAFF (5-0) vs. Gods of War

    (Odinson 6-1 and Kratos 6-0)

A real good one here, but I have to go with Dickinson and SCHAFF.

    Sugar Dunkerton (2-2) vs. TK O'Ryan (2-1)

I like both guys a lot but TK will win this, continue to show he can do it by himself, and continue to move up the ranks.

Artemis Spencer (2-3) vs. Liam Gray (1-3)

"The Problem" Sefa Fatu (1-2) vs. Patrick Scott (0-3)

Fatu (as BHK said) is getting the bigger push, and Scott is without a win. A win for Fatu and builds up...I think?

  9. Solid shlw buddy!

I think there was a typo as the very last sentence of the show seems cut mid half?

Introducing segment and Brian Lee beging the 3T's member who gets the TV Title seems like a strong hint that Taz vs. Dr Death is coming, and I feel like that's a strong main event for a top ppv

Loved the Terry Funk promo, he is one of if not my favourite wrestler ever, and I think his personality came through gret in his promo

Thank you! I have edited it. A photoshop error on my part. Thank you man, I appreciate the compliments on the Funker :) More to come with him.

  10. DUDE

I thought your presentation was top notch and the immersion with this diary with total, and now you drop a damn podcast??? That's great and contributes to the universe of your diary?? You get all of my DOTM votes for a 1000 years

It feels like i'm REALLY following the irl ECW in 97 (and K was just a toddler at that age)

Can't wait to hear from Funk

Thanks man. I actually think doing the audio files are easier than the graphic ones, but both I think add to it for people who care to listen to me ramble, haha - err, Justin Clayton..of iwrestling.com I mean :) Thank you for saying it feels like you're really following ECW. That is about the biggest compliment I can grab out of any of this as for me, THAT is the game I personally play.

I wonder who that fan in the first row screaming at Terry was lol. :D Motherfunker indeed

I am so glad you caught that, haha.

  11. Like that the women led the show off this week, even in the Pope/Bellevs Sal and Maria.. the women took the stage more. I think this gives you more balance and adds to the card. Also I liked the Maria breakup with Sal.. good explination and good turn in the story. How will Sal react once the pain is gone? Or will he just move on? I also like Anthony Bennett and may be one of my favorites here. Bennett's getting built with the title defenses and making reference to how many title defenses only makes him seem that much more important. Popped at the end with Corgan “But you know we don't have the rights. ” Too true, haha.

That was not my intention at all, I was just confused about them not knowing Bad Company, but now that you pointed out that it was Bad Crew, I am right with the fans. Please always tell me about these things so I can correct them <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> no heat whatsoever. Bad Crew is a tag team that for some reason is grouped in with ECW on this mod. They worked largely in the Maryland indy scene. Aka- zero clue right along with you. Haha</p>

Pick another hand? Huh? BOOM! lmao. Great story, and RVD had a set there to do that. Good stuff lol.</p>
  15. Doesn't sound like Big Poppa Pump has truly put down the wrestling spirit like his brother Rick. Is it a feud, a new Steiner's or nothing? I think Bronson has become someone very interesting to watch, I like his development thus far. Having the Steiner Bros there doesn't hurt the interest either. I dig the TK advancement and showing he wants to get out of the shadows. Very identifiable to I'm sure a lot of people. He's also right, the tournament does nothing for him (unless he won, but even then he shares the spotlight – something he said he doesnt want to do anymore). Happy with the finals and who was involved, happy with the result. I liked seeing how Pope dealt with a loss, to me it built his character a bit. His promos are very well written out and creative, so to see his sorrow was sort of cool to me. (I'm a real life heel I guess). Great show top to bottom. Enjoyed the tournament and how you presented it.
