  1. Hey folks, Sorry for the delay in getting something up, work has continued to be rather insane for me in the last few days - the last few weeks, if I'm being honest - and it has significantly impacted my writing time. Which really sucks. And it leads me onto the main point of this post... I've had a hard think about this over the past month or so (basically since Total Mayhem went up). My original goal was to get to Total Mayhem and see where we were after that, with the intention of maybe doing a full year if my schedule held up and people were enjoying it. Well we made it there, and I couldn't be more proud of how it went, or more grateful for the engagement I've received along the way. You guys have made this great fun. But with the way things are going now I don't think it's going to be possible for me to continue putting out a diary of any reasonable quality while my real life commitments are so strained. So I think, for this diary at least, this is going to have to be the - rather unceremonious - end. I'd like to try and get this weeks show up but I haven't even had a chance to run the show in-game, let alone write it up, so that's very unlikely to happen in the near future. So really, I just want to say thank you to everyone who read or got involved. It legitimately meant the world to me to see people reading my writing and prediction what they thought might be coming next. Sorry that this is coming out of the blue to a certain extent; I've been swimming against the tide for a few weeks now but I've just had to accept the frustrating reality of my current situation. Thank you again, and I look forward to reading what the rest of you are writing!
  2. Quick heads up to say that last week's prediction scores have been delayed slightly because work has gone a bit nuts for me. That should go up tomorrow along with Saturday Night Showcase, then we'll be onto next week's Total Wrestling.
  3. Haha, I'm flattered that mine got used as an example. But honestly, it really isn't that hard. I just essentially create a power point presentation and then save it as a PDF and upload it to Docdroid. There's very little graphical work on my side beyond figuring out a general layout and colour scheme I'm going for. And the main reason I moved from the traditional style of HTML formatting in a forum post (the kind Historian does) is because I want to have my diary backed up somewhere and it's much easier to back up a single PDF than a bunch of html. I like the traditional look just as much as this newer kind though . Presentation is just the icing on the cake anyway, it's the writing and the characterisation that I tend to read diaries for.
  4. <p>Hey guys,</p><p> </p><p> This is a weird question, but does anyone else feel like the AI is cheating a bit on the scores in the image below? I can't figure out how SWF's workers are pulling these ratings and I'm not sure if it's a bug or not.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="Edxzm7E.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Edxzm7E.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> For reference, this is SWF - a popularity-based fed. And SWF have been churning out main events like this with these same few workers for months now. Here is the worker's popularity next to their performance in this match:</p><p> </p><p> Atom Smasher: Popularity 76, Performance 93 (!!!!)</p><p> Bret Star: Popularity 75, Performance 81</p><p> John Greed: Popularity 65, Performance 73</p><p> Rocky Golden: Popularity 92, Performance 100</p><p> </p><p> Really don't want this to sound like sour grapes or anything, those scores just seem off to me, especially Atom Smasher.</p>

  14. Just a quick heads up to say the show should (all being well) go up tomorrow afternoon. Recovering from a cold so the writing has been delayed slightly, but I don't think it should impact the schedule all that much. So if you want to get a prediction in, now is the time to do it!
  15. I use imgur for mine. Although I've recently moved from formatting my shows in HTML on the forum posts to uploading them whole-cloth as PDFs, which means image hosting isn't really as much of an issue. I'm writing my first dynasty at the moment, about 5 months into it. Best advice I can give is to write it for yourself; you will have weeks where there isn't that much engagement from other users, so you need to be enjoying the creative process of fleshing out your shows otherwise you'll burn out. Other than that, have a rough plan, have an idea of how you want to right a handful of major players on your roster (you'll find the characters for the rest as you play) and don't be afraid to change your plans.
  16. I'm still getting used to being an active part of the Dynasty writing community, and to me it's still novel and awesome that we have users who put in their own time into running this. So thank you, Togg, for running this. And thanks to everyone who voted for my diary. I've been coming here for almost a decade, mainly lurking and reading the amazing work that you guys have put - and continue to put - out. And it is nuts to me that my little TCW thing is getting any kind of attention. You all rule. All the winners rule. All the nominees rule. There are so many good diaries going on right now and I'm legitimately just honoured to see people reading mine.
  17. May 1st 2020 - Eye On The Ring, Konrad Douglas In Profile: Doc Hammond <div style="padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #C2C2C2; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 1px 3px ";">Name(s): Doc Hammond, Scout Theme Song: by Bring Me The Horizon Signed: 2007 Notable Accomplishments: 4 x DAVE Tag Team Champion, 5 x TCW World Tag Team Champion (w/ Guide, record number of reigns), TCW Television Champion (2019) Real Name: Jeremy Finch Age: 42 From: Houston, Texas Billed From: Houston, Texas Gimmick: Silent Killer Signature Moves: Danger Close (Exploder), Welcome To Parris Island (Texas Cloverleaf) Ring Attire: Black beanie, black flack jacket, black face paint, black combat trousers, black gloves, black boots Power15 Highest Placement: 9 Likes: Cleaning guns blindfolded, PT, the movies of Akira Kurosawa Dislikes: Lateness, loud noises</div> <div style="font-size:0px; height:1px; width:900px; background-color:#000;"></div> For ten years, when you thought of TCW one of the first names that came to any casual fan's mind was the New Wave. Guide and Scout were right there, just after Tommy Cornell, Wolf Hawkins and Rocky Golden. It's not unreasonable to say that they put the TCW tag division on their back for the best part of a decade, rightfully earning plaudits as one of - if not the - greatest tag team of all time. Yet it is testimony to the ability that Doc Hammond has to re-invent himself that he is now spoken about as one of the most consistently entertaining midcard talents in the company. His tag success is something he is still outspokenly proud of, yet it is no longer what defines him. And how public opinion has changed on that. Go and search any internet forum posts from 2017 and see how many people called Doc becoming a singles success. There aren't many. Yet a great post break-up feud with his former partner in One Man Army and an induction to The Syndicate cemented him as an mainstay in the upper midcard. Doc's in-ring game has always been about how smart he is; he's a technician with an eye for painful looking holds and a great mind for in-ring storytelling. And this has lent itself very naturally to his progression into a veteran role on the roster. Now at the age of 42 he's showing no signs of slowing down and continues to serve an important role as a sort of gatekeeper to the main event scene - a role he has taken over from the rapidly declining Troy Tornado - who can also step up and perform in the occasional main event program when needed. It's doubtful whether he will ever win the big belt at this stage in his career, surrounded as he is by younger and more popular performers, but you only need to speak to his colleagues to know how respected he is in that locker room. So where else has Doc got to go from here? Well, with the Syndicate being reformed once again it's not outside the realm of possibility to say that a program with Wolf Hawkins could well be in store for them, a program which is all but guaranteed to draw huge numbers given Wolf's enduring popularity in the company. And knowing Hawkins' penchant for shining up his opponents, it would surprise absolutely no one if he offered to put Doc over as part of the feud. This is all speculation however. What we know for the moment is that Doc has been a key part of The Syndicate since he joined in 2017, and is now a key part of its re-invention. It isn't coincidence that formerly Kyle Rhodes and Jack Bruce have continued to trust Doc to handle high-pressure storylines, and they will surely look to continue this going forward. <div style="font-size:0px; height:1px; width:900px; background-color:#000;"></div>

  21. Preview: TCW Presents Total Wrestling - June 2020, Week 1 (to be posted by 29/092020) Total Mayhem is in the books and it's a new era in TCW, with Jay Chord at the top of the pile, Mighty Mo right behind him gunning for the title, new International and Tag Team Champions and a handful of new faces around the place to boot. You won't wanna miss this! <div style="padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #C2C2C2; max-width:100%;box-shadow: 0 1px 3px ";"> The Heritage vs Mighty Mo & The Roughnecks Tale of the Tape: The Roughnecks have every intention of using their rematch clause on Edd Stone and Greg Gauge at Excessive Force by the sounds of things, and Mighty Mo is more than happy to lend a hand as a trio of challengers go up against a trio of champions. Ernest Youngman vs Aaron Andrews Tale of the Tape: The Ace looks to get back on the horse against a prospective member The Syndicate, knowing that a bad run of form now could see him slide even further down the pecking order in TCW. International Title Match The Crippler vs Mikey Lau © Tale of the Tape: Only two days removed from winning the belt Mikey Lau defends the International Title against the vicious Crippler, whose debut at Total Mayhem upset Joshua Taylor. This will be a painful affair. Fro Sure vs Freddy Huggins Tale of the Tape: Fro Sure has been making a name for himself on the lower end of the card this year with some great performances, but Freddy Huggins is on a roll now after beating Koshiro Ino and may prove stern opposition. Mutant vs Elliot Thomas Tale of the Tape: Eddie Peak's protege Mutant makes an in-ring debut against the unfortunate Elliot Thomas. This is a real David vs Goliath kind of affair, though I don't much rate David's chances. Masked Patriot, One Man Army & Joshua Taylor vs The 1% (Newton, Jordan & Idol) Tale of the Tape: Nelson Callum takes the week off after losing to Masked Patriot on Sunday, making this a trios clash between one of the most egotistical groups in TCW and one of the most eccentric (not counting Joshua Taylor). American Ultra vs Shocking Concept Tale of the Tape: Matt Hocking and Benny Benson came to an understanding on Twitter this week that they could potentially have some success in the tag division. In this, their debut match, they take on the ruthless American Ultra to see if that is actually the case.</div>

So I think in this one case it was just a combination of Bach delivering a sub-par performance grade (69 just isn't up to snuff for him) plus the other factors that contribute to the match grade dragging down Wolf's 95.
