  1. Does anyone know if there is a fighting game universe(Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc...) mod for TEw? I’m sure there was one for previous versions of the game but I can’t for the life of me find it.
  2. I like the idea of it being an attribute. Not sure what the effects would be, but it could impact some storylines/feuds and I think you are correct that it should be a negative for some products.
  3. Yes. This is the first game I haven’t purchased (yet). I’ve played every version going back to EWR days. The game looks great and I am behind every change pretty much. I think it’s mostly that no mod has caught my fancy yet (I’ve never liked the Cornellverse). I’m sure I’ll eventually buy but right now I’m still on the fence.
  4. I really appreciate the thought of this feature, and I certainly didn't have anything against it when it was first announced, but functionally I think it's kind of a waste. I would rather see a data preview come up of whatever data element I am highlighting on the left. Right now if I even just want to see if I want to edit something I have to click in, and then click out of every member of any file I;m looking at. Example if I'm in the companies section and I just want to see the company start date I have to click in and click out. I think having a summary or preview of each element would seriously reduce clicks. We all have text editors, and it's actually easier for me to have Notepad or excel open on the side. My $0.02
  5. Anyone know if we're still limited to 150x150 in 2020?

Will we be penalized for having multiple house shows in a loop in the same region?</p><p> </p><p> Also is a written contract required or can we have people on PPA deals work house shows?</p>
  7. Have any of the house show restrictions been lifted? Is it still limited to cult (Large) promotions and workers on written contracts?
  8. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Adam Ryland" data-cite="Adam Ryland" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47479" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>No, I wouldn't include generic local companies - all you're doing is slowing down the loading times between days. They're precisely what the in-game independent shows are meant to do.<p> </p><p> I wouldn't remove all the small companies, however. The game's designed to have a healthy dose of smaller companies in which workers can learn their trade. If you remove them entirely then the independent scene is going to struggle to provide enough shows to house everybody, particularly once training facilities start getting better and pumping out more talent each year.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks for the response. Would you say that Insignificant and Tiny feds should be exceptions whereas small feds should be used to fill in for regions that don’t have regional (Medium in 2020?) or cult sized feds (Large?).</p><p> </p><p> For instance if in the US I have a large fed covering New England, Tristate and the Great Lakes, another large in mid Atlantic and southeast, regional in mid south, mid west and south west. Then small feds could fill in for north east, Puerto Rico and Hawaii, but there isn’t a need to also fit in tiny feds everywhere unless I want some feds to also have a dev territory nearby? Does that make sense?</p>
  9. In 2016 in order to get work to more workers I would create a bunch of local promotions with generic sounding names (ex: Rural Manitoba Wrestling) to supplement the independent scene. With the enhanced independent scene in 2020, is there any reason to continue this practice? I'm guessing the answer is no, but the next question is aside from player controlled promotions and development territories, is there any reason to populate the world with smaller feds or should we leave more workers exposed for the indies? I guess I'm trying to figure out how these were intended or designed to work.
  10. Been watching a lot of classic WWE Network stuff this week from the 70s. Was wondering if it is possible to book best 3 out of 5 falls matches in TEW 2020. The WWWF seemed to have 3/5 Six-man tags on every card back in the 70s...
  11. I tried looking through the journal but found nothing. Has there been any word on being able to block tape shows (i.e. taping the next 4 weeks matches in one night). i seem to remember a discussion around "staleness" affecting quality but I can't find the entry.
  12. <p>A little bit of Necromancy here as i got so busy I never got a chance to chime in on my own debate. For some strange reason I suddenly I have time again <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> My preferences:</p><p> </p><p> Historical Real World</p><p> The original Death of the Territories is still the gold standard for me as it has a great sweet spot where you have several viable promotions active and TONS of hall of fame mega stars active for dream matches. The mod was complete enough that there weren't any obvious omissions but at the same time cut off so no one truly irrelevant was omitted.</p><p> </p><p> There have been some truly valiant attempts at 1980 and 1970 mods that got me super excited, but needed a bit more work, imoho to flesh out the worlds. Still fun mods so props to the creators!</p><p> </p><p> There have been great mods released for the 80s, 90s, etc... but by then it's basically always about WCW vs WWF so my interest level wanes.</p><p> </p><p> A 1963 mod taking place after the WWWF exits the NWA would probably be my dream mod to play.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Historical Fictional</p><p> Given the choice I tend to prefer fictional, all things being equal, but most fictional mods have the "Bright" effect for me. They do things that defy historicity so you basically have to pretend that this is a world where things like World War 2, segregation, the cold war, etc... never happened. The Cornellverse is one of the worse offenders in this regard btw... I just can't buy into a world where Pro Wrestling originated in Japan in the 1930s... like Chewabacca IT DON'T MAKE SENSE.</p><p> </p><p> So for me to enjoy a historical mod, even fictional, the broad strokes of RW history must be followed whereas the specific promotions, workers, etc... are fictional. I know I am in the minority who care about this, not trying to say enjoying these mods are badwrongfun at all. I have all the respect in the world for all mod creators.</p><p> </p><p> The effverse is probably my favorite of this type of mod (the 1930s start) as it is so open it leaves the evolution of the world to the player.</p><p> </p><p> Sci-Fi/Post apocalypse/ Fantasy</p><p> A great mod in one of these genres would rock my world. Part of the problem is that TEW is tied very much to our world (minus the calendar) so you couldn't for instance have offworld regions, or alien cultures.</p><p> </p><p> Here are some mods that would be amazing to me:</p><p> </p><p> Champions of the Galaxy</p><p> <a href="http://filsingergames.com/champions-of-the-galaxy/" rel="external nofollow">http://filsingergames.com/champions-of-the-galaxy/</a></p><p> A mod based on the classic sci-fi card game would be amazing. I love the idea of a far future world where wrestling is bigger than ever.</p><p> </p><p> Mutant League Wrestling</p><p> A mod based on the Mutant League universe in a post apocalyptic world of mutants, monsters and aliens could be very cool. I imagine a new NWA type territory system but every promoter is a disreputable scumbag constantly undercutting his neighbours and trying to steal their territory.</p><p> </p><p> The Clone Wars (Or WrestleWorld)</p><p> This is one I've been wanting to do myself for 10+ years but never get around to it. It's essentially WOTI with a scifi twist.</p><p> </p><p> In the not too distant future (30ish years from now) pro wrestling has been banned due to it being too dangerous. Enter the replicants. Flesh and blood recreations of the human form that can be owned and are not subject to the same laws as humans. Wrestling comes back with Replicant versions of wrestlings past superstars based on available footage and information. Feds license the likeness of past workers and use them to amuse the masses.</p><p> </p><p> Think Blade Runner meets Westworld meets WrestleMania. The best part of this one is that TEW has all the features to support the concept. If anyone ever wants to tackle this I have a few notes and ideas I can share as to how the world and workers would work (including ideas on how "licensing" would work, and versioning workers over time).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> So there you go, that's what i look for in mods.</p>
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Evilman" data-cite="Evilman" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42555" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Man, I am wishful that Thunderverse would still live and we would get another edition on 2020. I must not be the only one?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I would be fine with the 2016 version converted and updated for the new features. I don't need the timeline advanced... I'm sure someone will take up the challenge.</p>
  14. I've never been a big fan of the Cornellverse. Nothing against Adam or the world he's built but from the get-go it never appealed to me. I've tried all kinds of mods, real world and fantasy, some I've adored, others less so. I'm curious as to what people look for in a mod with the hopes of getting and sharing ideas with the community. So, without referencing any current mods, what gets you interested? Real world vs fictional? Current day vs historical? Graphical look? Types of characters? How much realism? How much fantasy? Or just describe your hypothetical "perfect" mod. I'll post mine in a bit.
  15. Honestly I just want the old pushes to available as tags to organize my roster. I'm fine with the game using fan perception to evaluate the results of my booking. Example I want to be able to set Terry Gibbs as a jobber so that I can easily find him when I need someone to lose on TV. If I have Gibbs lose every week then my push of the guy will likely match the fans perception. If for so.e reason I have Gibbs beat Hulk Hogan clean every week maybe they won't see him the same way...
  16. I haven't agreed with every feature but overall I'm super happy at how the game is going to be less "fiddly" and more mod friendly. I think in the long run this along with the UI streamlining will make it muuuuch easier to get new users into the game.

Same with WWE show, where a Raw taping is 4+, with WWE Main Event stuff and dark matches, etc.</p><p> </p><p> It's something that hasn't been simulated in the TEW series, afaik, but it is definitely something that happens. In Japan "dead-air" before the show is barely a case.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You can do the Raw/Main Event/Dark Match in TEW 2016...</p>
  18. On the legacy update... Does that mean that there is a chance a 30 year old could generate an adult regen? The math seems slightly problematic <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  19. <p>It's pretty playable as is and at $20 it's hard to lose.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Having said that, i've found lately whenever I hit a limitation in '16 that is fixed in '20 that I get really frustrated. The developers journal is like reading movie spoilers for Avengers endgame while I'm still watching infinity war <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> YMMV</p>
  20. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Historian" data-cite="Historian" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Guaranteed contracts in WWE currently actually guaranteed most guys significantly less than what they make. I can't get into the specifics of how much I know about the structure of WWE contracts, but I know that most in-ring talent gets paid by date they work (as opposed to getting a weekly check of their downside). Getting paid by date means just about everyone makes significantly over their minimum guarantee. Guaranteed contracts did not kill anybodies business -- as long as talents worked dates, because guarantees have always been a minimum. "You will make at least this much money", so that if Wrestler X has a contract for $250,000, he will make at leat that, but if he works 250 dates that year, he's probably going to make way more than that, because he still gets paid per show he works.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's the same way it worked with guaranteed money in the late 80's JCP as well. I think they called it a downside guarantee. Payouts per show were calculated based on the house and supposedly some kind of arcane formula back in the day so you actually never knew what your payout would be... But if you had a downside guarantee, and your nightly payouts added up less than your guaranteed amount you'd get a balloon payment for the difference.</p>
